I am yours, and all that I have."(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:5 ============ 1Ki 20:5 And the messengers came again, and said, Thus speaketh Benhadad, saying, Although I have sent unto thee, saying, Thou shalt deliver me thy silver, and thy gold, and thy wives, and thy children;(KJV) 1 Kings 20:5 And when the messengers came againe, they said, Thus commandeth Ben-hadad, & saith, When I shal send vnto thee, and command, thou shalt deliuer me thy siluer and thy golde, and thy women, and thy children,(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:5 Les messagers retournèrent, et dirent: Ainsi parle Ben-Hadad: Je t'ai fait dire: Tu me livreras ton argent et ton or, tes femmes et tes enfants.(FR) 5 ׃20 וַיָּשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ הַמַּלְאָכִ֔ים וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ כֹּֽה־אָמַ֥ר בֶּן־הֲדַ֖ד לֵאמֹ֑ר כִּֽי־שָׁלַ֤חְתִּי אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר כַּסְפְּךָ֧ וּזְהָבְךָ֛ וְנָשֶׁ֥יךָ וּבָנֶ֖יךָ לִ֥י תִתֵּֽן׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:5 Then the messengers returned and said, "Thus says Ben-hadad, 'Surely, I sent to you saying, "You shall give me your silver and your gold and your wives and your children,"(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:6 ============ 1Ki 20:6 Yet I will send my servants unto thee to morrow about this time, and they shall search thine house, and the houses of thy servants; and it shall be, that whatsoever is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall put it in their hand, and take it away.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:6 Or els I will sende my seruants vnto thee by to morow this time: and they shal search thine house, & the houses of thy seruants: and whatsoeuer is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall take it in their handes, and bring it away.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:6 J'enverrai donc demain, à cette heure, mes serviteurs chez toi; ils fouilleront ta maison et les maisons de tes serviteurs, ils mettront la main sur tout ce que tu as de précieux, et ils l'emporteront.(FR) 6 ׃20 כִּ֣י ׀ אִם־כָּעֵ֣ת מָחָ֗ר אֶשְׁלַ֤ח אֶת־עֲבָדַי֙ אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְחִפְּשׂוּ֙ אֶת־בֵּ֣יתְךָ֔ וְאֵ֖ת בָּתֵּ֣י עֲבָדֶ֑יךָ וְהָיָה֙ כָּל־מַחְמַ֣ד עֵינֶ֔יךָ יָשִׂ֥ימוּ בְיָדָ֖ם וְלָקָֽחוּ׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:6 but about this time tomorrow I will send my servants to you, and they will search your house and the houses of your servants; and whatever is desirable in your eyes, they will take in their hand and carry away.'"(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:7 ============ 1Ki 20:7 Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeketh mischief: for he sent unto me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:7 Then the King of Israel sent for all the Elders of the land, & sayd, Take heede, I pray you, and see how he seeketh mischiefe: for he sent vnto me for my wiues, and for my children, and for my siluer, and for my golde, and I denyed him not.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:7 Le roi d'Israël appela tous les anciens du pays, et il dit: Sentez bien et comprenez que cet homme nous veut du mal; Les messagers s'en allèrent, et lui portèrent la réponse.(FR) 9 ׃20 וַיֹּ֜אמֶר לְמַלְאֲכֵ֣י בֶן־הֲדַ֗ד אִמְר֞וּ לַֽאדֹנִ֤י הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ כֹּל֩ אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַ֨חְתָּ אֶל־עַבְדְּךָ֤ בָרִֽאשֹׁנָה֙ אֶעֱשֶׂ֔ה וְהַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה לֹ֥א אוּכַ֖ל לַעֲשׂ֑וֹת וַיֵּֽלְכוּ֙ הַמַּלְאָכִ֔ים וַיְשִׁבֻ֖הוּ דָּבָֽר׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:9 So he said to the messengers of Ben-hadad, "Tell my lord the king, 'All that you sent for to your servant at the first I will do, but this thing I cannot do.'" And the messengers departed and brought him word again.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:10 ============ 1Ki 20:10 And Benhadad sent unto him, and said, The gods do so unto me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:10 And Ben-hadad sent vnto him, and sayde, The gods do so to me and more also, if the dust of Samaria be ynough to all the people that follow me, for euery man an handfull.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:10 Ben-Hadad envoya dire à Achab: Que les dieux me traitent dans toute leur rigueur, si la poussière de Samarie suffit pour remplir le creux de la main de tout le peuple qui me suit!(FR) 10 ׃20 וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח אֵלָיו֙ בֶּן־הֲדַ֔ד וַיֹּ֕אמֶר כֹּֽה־יַעֲשׂ֥וּן לִ֛י אֱלֹהִ֖ים וְכֹ֣ה יוֹסִ֑פוּ אִם־יִשְׂפֹּק֙ עֲפַ֣ר שֹׁמְר֔וֹן לִשְׁעָלִ֕ים לְכָל־הָעָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּרַגְלָֽי׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:10 Ben-hadad sent to him and said, "May the gods do so to me and more also, if the dust of Samaria will suffice for handfuls for all the people who follow me."(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:11 ============ 1Ki 20:11 And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him that girdeth on his harness boast himself as he that putteth it off.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:11 And the King of Israel answered, and sayd, Tell him, Let not him that girdeth his harneis, boast himselfe, as he that putteth it off.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:11 Et le roi d'Israël répondit: Que celui qui revêt une armure ne se glorifie pas comme celui qui la dépose!(FR) 11 ׃20 וַיַּ֤עַן מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דַּבְּר֔וּ אַל־יִתְהַלֵּ֥ל חֹגֵ֖ר כִּמְפַתֵּֽחַ׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:11 Then the king of Israel replied, "Tell him, 'Let not him who girds on his armor boast like him who takes it off.'"(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:12 ============ 1Ki 20:12 And it came to pass, when Ben-hadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, that he said unto his servants, Set yourselves in array. And they set themselves in array against the city.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:12 And when he heard that tidings, as he was with the Kings drinking in the pauilions, he sayd vnto his seruants, Bring forth your engines, and they set them against the citie.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:12 Lorsque Ben-Hadad reçut cette réponse, il était à boire avec les rois sous les tentes, et il dit à ses serviteurs: Faites vos préparatifs! Et ils firent leurs préparatifs contre la ville.(FR) 12 ׃20 וַיְהִ֗י כִּשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה וְה֥וּא שֹׁתֶ֛ה ה֥וּא וְהַמְּלָכִ֖ים בַּסֻּכּ֑וֹת וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֶל־עֲבָדָיו֙ שִׂ֔ימוּ וַיָּשִׂ֖ימוּ עַל־הָעִֽיר׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:12 When Ben-hadad heard this message, as he was drinking with the kings in the temporary shelters, he said to his servants, "Station yourselves." So they stationed themselves against the city. (nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:13 ============ 1Ki 20:13 And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine hand this day; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:13 And beholde, there came a Prophet vnto Ahab King of Israel, saying, Thus sayeth the Lorde, Hast thou seene all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver them into your hand today, and you shall know that I am the Lord.'"(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:14 ============ 1Ki 20:14 And Ahab said, By whom? And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Even by the young men of the princes of the provinces. Then he said, Who shall order the battle? And he answered, Thou.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:14 And Ahab sayd, By whome? And he sayde, Thus sayth the Lord, By the seruants of the princes of the prouinces. He sayde againe, Who shall order the battel? And he answered, Thou.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:14 Achab dit: Par qui? So he said, "Thus says the Lord, 'By the young men of the rulers of the provinces.'" Then he said, "Who shall begin the battle?" And he answered, "You."(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:15 ============ 1Ki 20:15 Then he numbered the young men of the princes of the provinces, and they were two hundred and thirty two: and after them he numbered all the people, even all the children of Israel, being seven thousand.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:15 Then he nombred the seruantes of the princes of the prouinces, and they were two hundreth, two and thirtie: and after them he nombred the whole people of all the children of Israel, euen seuen thousand.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:15 Alors Achab passa en revue les serviteurs des chefs des provinces, et il s'en trouva deux cent trente-deux; et après eux, il passa en revue tout le peuple, tous les enfants d'Israël, et ils étaient sept mille.(FR) 15 ׃20 וַיִּפְקֹ֗ד אֶֽת־נַעֲרֵי֙ שָׂרֵ֣י הַמְּדִינ֔וֹת וַיִּהְי֕וּ מָאתַ֖יִם שְׁנַ֣יִם וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֑ים וְאַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם פָּקַ֧ד אֶת־כָּל־הָעָ֛ם כָּל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל שִׁבְעַ֥ת אֲלָפִֽים׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:15 Then he mustered the young men of the rulers of the provinces, and there were 232; and after them he mustered all the people, even all the sons of Israel, 7,000.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:16 ============ 1Ki 20:16 And they went out at noon. But Benhadad was drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty and two kings that helped him.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:16 And they went out at noone: but Ben-hadad did drinke till he was drunken in the tentes, both he and the Kings: for two and thirtie Kings helped him.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:16 Ils firent une sortie à midi. Ben-Hadad buvait et s'enivrait sous les tentes avec les trente-deux rois, ses auxiliaires.(FR) 16 ׃20 וַיֵּצְא֖וּ בַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם וּבֶן־הֲדַד֩ שֹׁתֶ֨ה שִׁכּ֜וֹר בַּסֻּכּ֗וֹת ה֧וּא וְהַמְּלָכִ֛ים שְׁלֹשִֽׁים־וּשְׁנַ֥יִם מֶ֖לֶךְ עֹזֵ֥ר אֹתֽוֹ׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:16 They went out at noon, while Ben-hadad was drinking himself drunk in the temporary shelters with the thirty-two kings who helped him.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:17 ============ 1Ki 20:17 And the young men of the princes of the provinces went out first; and Benhadad sent out, and they told him, saying, There are men come out of Samaria.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:17 So the seruants of the princes of the prouinces went out first: and Ben-hadad sent out, & they shewed him, saying, There are men come out of Samaria.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:17 Les serviteurs des chefs des provinces sortirent les premiers. Ben-Hadad s'informa, et on lui fit ce rapport: Des hommes sont sortis de Samarie.(FR) 17 ׃20 וַיֵּצְא֗וּ נַעֲרֵ֛י שָׂרֵ֥י הַמְּדִינ֖וֹת בָּרִֽאשֹׁנָ֑ה וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח בֶּן־הֲדַ֗ד וַיַּגִּ֤ידוּ לוֹ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר אֲנָשִׁ֕ים יָצְא֖וּ מִשֹּׁמְרֽוֹן׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:17 The young men of the rulers of the provinces went out first; and Ben-hadad sent out and they told him, saying, "Men have come out from Samaria."(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:18 ============ 1Ki 20:18 And he said, Whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be come out for war, take them alive.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:18 And he sayde, Whether they be come out for peace, take them aliue: or whether they bee come out to fight, take them yet aliue.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:18 Il dit: S'ils sortent pour la paix, saisissez-les vivants; et s'ils sortent pour le combat, saisissez-les vivants.(FR) 18 ׃20 וַיֹּ֛אמֶר אִם־לְשָׁל֥וֹם יָצָ֖אוּ תִּפְשׂ֣וּם חַיִּ֑ים וְאִ֧ם לְמִלְחָמָ֛ה יָצָ֖אוּ חַיִּ֥ים תִּפְשֽׂוּם׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:18 Then he said, "If they have come out for peace, take them alive; or if they have come out for war, take them alive."(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:19 ============ 1Ki 20:19 So these young men of the princes of the provinces came out of the city, and the army which followed them.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:19 So they came out of the citie, to wit, the seruants of the princes of the prouinces, and the hoste which followed them.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:19 Lorsque les serviteurs des chefs des provinces et l'armée qui les suivait furent sortis de la ville,(FR) 19 ׃20 וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ יָצְא֣וּ מִן־הָעִ֔יר נַעֲרֵ֖י שָׂרֵ֣י הַמְּדִינ֑וֹת וְהַחַ֖יִל אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ Kings1 1Ki 20:19 So these went out from the city, the young men of the rulers of the provinces, and the army which followed them.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:20 ============ 1Ki 20:20 And they slew every one his man: and the Syrians fled; and Israel pursued them: and Benhadad the king of Syria escaped on an horse with the horsemen.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:20 And they slew euery one his enemie: and the Aramites fled, and Israel pursued them: but Ben-hadad ye King of Aram escaped on an horse with his horsemen.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:20 chacun frappa son homme, et les Syriens prirent la fuite. Then he said, "Go, bring him." Ahab said, "And I will let you go with this covenant."
