For He has chosen Judah to be a leader; and in the house of Judah, my father's house, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.(nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:5 ============ 1Ch 28:5 And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 28:5 So of all my sonnes (for the Lord hath giuen me many sonnes) he hath euen chosen Salomon my sonne to sit vpo the throne of the kingdome of the Lord ouer Israel.(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 28:5 Entre tous mes fils-car l'Eternel m'a donné beaucoup de fils-il a choisi mon fils Salomon pour le faire asseoir sur le trône du royaume de l'Eternel, sur Israël.(FR) 5 ׃28 וּמִכָּ֨ל־בָּנַ֔י כִּ֚י רַבִּ֣ים בָּנִ֔ים נָ֥תַן לִ֖י יְהוָ֑ה וַיִּבְחַר֙ בִּשְׁלֹמֹ֣ה בְנִ֔י לָשֶׁ֗בֶת עַל־כִּסֵּ֛א מַלְכ֥וּת יְהוָ֖ה עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Chronicles1 1Ch 28:5 Of all my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons), He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.(nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:6 ============ 1Ch 28:6 And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 28:6 And he sayd vnto me, Salomon thy sonne, he shall build mine house and my courtes: for I haue chosen him to be my sonne, and I will be his father.(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 28:6 Il m'a dit: Salomon, ton fils, bâtira ma maison et mes parvis; for I have chosen him to be a son to Me, and I will be a father to him.(nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:7 ============ 1Ch 28:7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 28:7 I will stablish therefore his kingdome for euer, if he endeuour himselfe to do my commandements, and my iudgements, as this day.(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 28:7 J'affermirai pour toujours son royaume, s'il reste attaché comme aujourd'hui à la pratique de mes commandements et de mes ordonnances.(FR) 7 ׃28 וַהֲכִינוֹתִ֥י אֶת־מַלְכוּת֖וֹ עַד־לְעוֹלָ֑ם אִם־יֶחֱזַ֗ק לַעֲשׂ֛וֹת מִצְוֺתַ֥י וּמִשְׁפָּטַ֖י כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ Chronicles1 1Ch 28:7 I will establish his kingdom forever if he resolutely performs My commandments and My ordinances, as is done now.'(nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:8 ============ 1Ch 28:8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 28:8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the Congregation of the Lorde, and in the audience of our God, keepe and seeke for all the commandements of the Lord your God, that ye may possesse this good lande, and leaue it for an inheritance for your children after you for euer.(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 28:8 Maintenant, aux yeux de tout Israël, de l'assemblée de l'Eternel, et en présence de notre Dieu qui vous entend, observez et prenez à coeur tous les commandements de l'Eternel, votre Dieu, afin que vous possédiez ce bon pays et que vous le laissiez en héritage à vos fils après vous à perpétuité.(FR) 8 ׃28 וְ֠עַתָּה לְעֵינֵ֨י כָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל קְהַל־יְהוָה֙ וּבְאָזְנֵ֣י אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ שִׁמְר֣וּ וְדִרְשׁ֔וּ כָּל־מִצְוֺ֖ת יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם לְמַ֤עַן תִּֽירְשׁוּ֙ אֶת־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַטּוֹבָ֔ה וְהִנְחַלְתֶּ֛ם לִבְנֵיכֶ֥ם אַחֲרֵיכֶ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ פ Chronicles1 1Ch 28:8 So now, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek after all the commandments of the Lord your God so that you may possess the good land and bequeath it to your sons after you forever.(nasb) ======= 1 Chronicles 28:9 ============ 1Ch 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.(KJV) 1 Chronicles 28:9 And thou, Salomon my sonne, know thou the God of thy father, and serue him with a perfit heart, and with a willing minde: For the Lorde searcheth all hearts, and vnderstandeth all the imaginations of thoughts: if thou seeke him, he will be found of thee, but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for euer.(Geneva) 1 Chroniques 28:9 Et toi, Salomon, mon fils, connais le Dieu de ton père, et sers-le d'un coeur dévoué et d'une âme bien disposée, car l'Eternel sonde tous les coeurs et pénètre tous les desseins et toutes les pensées. Si tu le cherches, il se laissera trouver par toi; mais si tu l'abandonnes, il te rejettera pour toujours.(FR) 9 ׃28 וְאַתָּ֣ה שְׁלֹמֹֽה־בְנִ֡י דַּע֩ אֶת־אֱלֹהֵ֨י אָבִ֜יךָ וְעָבְדֵ֗הוּ בְּלֵ֤ב שָׁלֵם֙ וּבְנֶ֣פֶשׁ חֲפֵצָ֔ה כִּ֤י כָל־לְבָבוֹת֙ דּוֹרֵ֣שׁ יְהוָ֔ה וְכָל־יֵ֥צֶר מַחֲשָׁב֖וֹת מֵבִ֑ין אִֽם־תִּדְרְשֶׁ֙נּוּ֙ יִמָּ֣צֵא לָ֔ךְ וְאִם־תַּֽעַזְבֶ֖נּוּ יַזְנִיחֲךָ֥ לָעַֽד׃ Chronicles1 1Ch 28:9 "As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts.
