(nasb) ======= Job 11:1 ============ Job 11:1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,(KJV) Job 11:1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and sayde,(Geneva) Job 11:1 Tsophar de Naama prit la parole et dit:(FR) 1 ׃11 וַ֭יַּעַן צֹפַ֥ר הַֽנַּעֲמָתִ֗י וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ Job Job 11:1 Then Zophar the Naamathite answered,(nasb) ======= Job 11:2 ============ Job 11:2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?(KJV) Job 11:2 Should not the multitude of wordes be answered? or should a great talker be iustified?(Geneva) Job 11:2 Cette multitude de paroles ne trouvera-t-elle point de réponse, Et suffira-t-il d'être un discoureur pour avoir raison?(FR) 2 ׃11 הֲרֹ֣ב דְּ֭בָרִים לֹ֣א יֵעָנֶ֑ה וְאִם־אִ֖ישׁ שְׂפָתַ֣יִם יִצְדָּֽק׃ Job Job 11:2 "Shall a multitude of words go unanswered, And a talkative man be acquitted?(nasb) ======= Job 11:3 ============ Job 11:3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?(KJV) Job 11:3 Should men holde their peace at thy lyes? & when thou mockest others, shall none make thee ashamed?(Geneva) Job 11:3 Tes vains propos feront-ils taire les gens? Te moqueras-tu, sans que personne te confonde?(FR) 3 ׃11 בַּ֭דֶּיךָ מְתִ֣ים יַחֲרִ֑ישׁו וַ֝תִּלְעַ֗ג וְאֵ֣ין מַכְלִֽם׃ Job Job 11:3 "Shall your boasts silence men? And shall you scoff and none rebuke?(nasb) ======= Job 11:4 ============ Job 11:4 For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.(KJV) Job 11:4 For thou hast sayde, My doctrine is pure, and I am cleane in thine eyes.(Geneva) Job 11:4 Tu dis: Ma manière de voir est juste, Et je suis pur à tes yeux.(FR) 4 ׃11 וַ֭תֹּאמֶר זַ֣ךְ לִקְחִ֑י וּ֝בַ֗ר הָיִ֥יתִי בְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃ Job Job 11:4 "For you have said, 'My teaching is pure, And I am innocent in your eyes.'(nasb) ======= Job 11:5 ============ Job 11:5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;(KJV) Job 11:5 But, oh that God would speake and open his lippes against thee!(Geneva) Job 11:5 Oh! si Dieu voulait parler, S'il ouvrait les lèvres pour te répondre,(FR) 5 ׃11 וְֽאוּלָ֗ם מִֽי־יִתֵּ֣ן אֱל֣וֹהַּ דַּבֵּ֑ר וְיִפְתַּ֖ח שְׂפָתָ֣יו עִמָּֽךְ׃ Job Job 11:5 "But would that God might speak, And open His lips against you,(nasb) ======= Job 11:6 ============ Job 11:6 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.(KJV) Job 11:6 That he might shewe thee the secretes of wisedome, howe thou hast deserued double, according to right: know therefore that God hath forgotten thee for thine iniquitie.(Geneva) Job 11:6 Et s'il te révélait les secrets de sa sagesse, De son immense sagesse, Tu verrais alors qu'il ne te traite pas selon ton iniquité.(FR) 6 ׃11 וְיַגֶּד־לְךָ֨ ׀ תַּֽעֲלֻמ֣וֹת חָכְמָה֮ כִּֽי־כִפְלַ֢יִם לְֽת֫וּשִׁיָּ֥ה וְדַ֡ע כִּֽי־יַשֶּׁ֥ה לְךָ֥ אֱ֝ל֗וֹהַ מֵעֲוֺנֶֽךָ׃ Job Job 11:6 And show you the secrets of wisdom! For sound wisdom has two sides. Know then that God forgets a part of your iniquity.(nasb) ======= Job 11:7 ============ Job 11:7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?(KJV) Job 11:7 Canst thou by searching finde out God? canst thou finde out ye Almighty to his perfection?(Geneva) Job 11:7 Prétends-tu sonder les pensées de Dieu, Parvenir à la connaissance parfaite du Tout-Puissant?(FR) 7 ׃11 הַחֵ֣קֶר אֱל֣וֹהַ תִּמְצָ֑א אִ֤ם עַד־תַּכְלִ֖ית שַׁדַּ֣י תִּמְצָֽא׃ Job Job 11:7 "Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty?(nasb) ======= Job 11:8 ============ Job 11:8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?(KJV) Job 11:8 The heauens are hie, what canst thou doe? it is deeper then the hel, how canst thou know it?(Geneva) Job 11:8 Elle est aussi haute que les cieux: que feras-tu? Plus profonde que le séjour des morts: que sauras-tu?(FR) 8 ׃11 גָּבְהֵ֣י שָׁ֭מַיִם מַה־תִּפְעָ֑ל עֲמֻקָּ֥ה מִ֝שְּׁא֗וֹל מַה־תֵּדָֽע׃ Job Job 11:8 "They are high as the heavens, what can you do? Deeper than Sheol, what can you know?(nasb) ======= Job 11:9 ============ Job 11:9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.(KJV) Job 11:9 The measure thereof is longer then the earth, and it is broader then the sea.(Geneva) Job 11:9 La mesure en est plus longue que la terre, Elle est plus large que la mer.(FR) 9 ׃11 אֲרֻכָּ֣ה מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִדָּ֑הּ וּ֝רְחָבָ֗ה מִנִּי־יָֽם׃ Job Job 11:9 "Its measure is longer than the earth And broader than the sea.(nasb) ======= Job 11:10 ============ Job 11:10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?(KJV) Job 11:10 If hee cut off and shut vp, or gather together, who can turne him backe?(Geneva) Job 11:10 S'il passe, s'il saisit, S'il traîne à son tribunal, qui s'y opposera?(FR) 10 ׃11 אִם־יַחֲלֹ֥ף וְיַסְגִּ֑יר וְ֝יַקְהִ֗יל וּמִ֣י יְשִׁיבֶֽנּוּ׃ Job Job 11:10 "If He passes by or shuts up, Or calls an assembly, who can restrain Him? yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:(KJV) Job 11:15 The truely shalt thou lift vp thy face without spot, and shalt be stable, and shalt not feare.(Geneva) Job 11:15 Alors tu lèveras ton front sans tache, Tu seras ferme et sans crainte;(FR) 15 ׃11 כִּי־אָ֤ז ׀ תִּשָּׂ֣א פָנֶ֣יךָ מִמּ֑וּם וְהָיִ֥יתָ מֻ֝צָ֗ק וְלֹ֣א תִירָֽא׃ Job Job 11:15 "Then, indeed, you could lift up your face without moral defect, And you would be steadfast and not fear.(nasb) ======= Job 11:16 ============ Job 11:16 Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:(KJV) Job 11:16 But thou shalt forget thy miserie, and remember it as waters that are past.(Geneva) Job 11:16 Tu oublieras tes souffrances, Tu t'en souviendras comme des eaux écoulées.(FR) 16 ׃11 כִּי־אַ֭תָּה עָמָ֣ל תִּשְׁכָּ֑ח כְּמַ֖יִם עָבְר֣וּ תִזְכֹּֽר׃ Job Job 11:16 "For you would forget your trouble, As waters that have passed by, you would remember it.(nasb) ======= Job 11:17 ============ Job 11:17 And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.(KJV) Job 11:17 Thine age also shall appeare more cleare then the noone day: thou shalt shine and bee as the morning.(Geneva) Job 11:17 Tes jours auront plus d'éclat que le soleil à son midi, Tes ténèbres seront comme la lumière du matin,(FR) 17 ׃11 וּֽ֭מִצָּהֳרַיִם יָק֣וּם חָ֑לֶד תָּ֝עֻ֗פָה כַּבֹּ֥קֶר תִּהְיֶֽה׃ Job Job 11:17 "Your life would be brighter than noonday; Darkness would be like the morning.(nasb) ======= Job 11:18 ============ Job 11:18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.(KJV) Job 11:18 And thou shalt bee bolde, because there is hope: and thou shalt digge pittes, and shalt lye downe safely.(Geneva) Job 11:18 Tu seras plein de confiance, et ton attente ne sera plus vaine; Tu regarderas autour de toi, et tu reposeras en sûreté.(FR) 18 ׃11 וּֽ֭בָטַחְתָּ כִּי־יֵ֣שׁ תִּקְוָ֑ה וְ֝חָפַרְתָּ֗ לָבֶ֥טַח תִּשְׁכָּֽב׃ Job Job 11:18 "Then you would trust, because there is hope; And you would look around and rest securely.(nasb) ======= Job 11:19 ============ Job 11:19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.(KJV) Job 11:19 For when thou takest thy rest, none shal make thee afraide: yea, many shall make sute vnto thee.(Geneva) Job 11:19 Tu te coucheras sans que personne ne te trouble, Et plusieurs caresseront ton visage.(FR) 19 ׃11 וְֽ֭רָבַצְתָּ וְאֵ֣ין מַחֲרִ֑יד וְחִלּ֖וּ פָנֶ֣יךָ רַבִּֽים׃ Job Job 11:19 "You would lie down and none would disturb you, And many would entreat your favor.(nasb) ======= Job 11:20 ============ Job 11:20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.(kjv) Job 11:20 But the eyes of the wicked shall faile, and their refuge shall perish, and their hope shalbe sorow of minde.(Geneva) Job 11:20 Mais les yeux des méchants seront consumés;
