Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 26:1 ============ Jer 26:1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word from the LORD, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 26:1 In the beginning of the reigne of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, came this worde from the Lorde, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 26:1 Au commencement du règne de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, cette parole fut prononcée de la part de l'Eternel, en ces mots:(FR) 1 ׃26 בְּרֵאשִׁ֗ית מַמְלְכ֛וּת יְהוֹיָקִ֥ים בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הָיָה֙ הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה מֵאֵ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came from the Lord, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:2 ============ Jer 26:2 Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD's house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD's house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word:(KJV) Jeremiah 26:2 Thus saith the Lorde, Sande in the court of the Lordes House, & speake vnto all the cities of Iudah, which come to worshippe in the Lords House, all the wordes that I commaunde thee to speake vnto them: keepe not a worde backe,(Geneva) Jérémie 26:2 Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Tiens-toi dans le parvis de la maison de l'Eternel, et dis à ceux qui de toutes les villes de Juda viennent se prosterner dans la maison de l'Eternel toutes les paroles que je t'ordonne de leur dire; n'en retranche pas un mot.(FR) 2 ׃26 כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה עֲמֹד֮ בַּחֲצַ֣ר בֵּית־יְהוָה֒ וְדִבַּרְתָּ֞ עַל־כָּל־עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה הַבָּאִים֙ לְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֣ת בֵּית־יְהוָ֔ה אֵ֚ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּיתִ֖יךָ לְדַבֵּ֣ר אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם אַל־תִּגְרַ֖ע דָּבָֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:2 "Thus says the Lord, 'Stand in the court of the Lord's house, and speak to all the cities of Judah who have come to worship in the Lord's house all the words that I have commanded you to speak to them. Do not omit a word! (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:3 ============ Jer 26:3 If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:3 If so be they will hearken, and turne euery man from his euill way, that I may repent me of the plague, which I haue determined to bring vpon them, because of the wickednesse of their workes.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:3 Peut-être écouteront-ils, et reviendront-ils chacun de leur mauvaise voie; alors je me repentirai du mal que j'avais pensé leur faire à cause de la méchanceté de leurs actions.(FR) 3 ׃26 אוּלַ֣י יִשְׁמְע֔וּ וְיָשֻׁ֕בוּ אִ֖ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ הָרָעָ֑ה וְנִחַמְתִּ֣י אֶל־הָרָעָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָנֹכִ֤י חֹשֵׁב֙ לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת לָהֶ֔ם מִפְּנֵ֖י רֹ֥עַ מַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:3 Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the calamity which I am planning to do to them because of the evil of their deeds.'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:4 ============ Jer 26:4 And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; If ye will not hearken to me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you,(KJV) Jeremiah 26:4 And thou shalt say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord, If ye will not heare me to walke in my Lawes, which I haue set before you,(Geneva) Jérémie 26:4 Tu leur diras: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Si vous ne m'écoutez pas quand je vous ordonne de suivre ma loi que j'ai mise devant vous,(FR) 4 ׃26 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה אִם־לֹ֤א תִשְׁמְעוּ֙ אֵלַ֔י לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ בְּת֣וֹרָתִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לִפְנֵיכֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:4 And you will say to them, 'Thus says the Lord, "If you will not listen to Me, to walk in My law which I have set before you, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:5 ============ Jer 26:5 To hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and sending them, but ye have not hearkened;(KJV) Jeremiah 26:5 And to heare ye wordes of my seruants the Prophets, whome I sent vnto you, both rising vp earely, and sending them, and will not obey them,(Geneva) Jérémie 26:5 d'écouter les paroles de mes serviteurs, les prophètes, que je vous envoie, que je vous ai envoyés dès le matin, et que vous n'avez pas écoutés,(FR) 5 ׃26 לִשְׁמֹ֗עַ עַל־דִּבְרֵי֙[t] עֲבָדַ֣י הַנְּבִאִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָנֹכִ֖י שֹׁלֵ֣חַ אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם וְהַשְׁכֵּ֥ם וְשָׁלֹ֖חַ וְלֹ֥א שְׁמַעְתֶּֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:5 to listen to the words of My servants the prophets, whom I have been sending to you again and again, but you have not listened; (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:6 ============ Jer 26:6 Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:6 Then will I make this House like Shiloh, and will make this citie a curse to all the nations of the earth.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:6 alors je traiterai cette maison comme Silo, et je ferai de cette ville un objet de malédiction pour toutes les nations de la terre.(FR) 6 ׃26 וְנָתַתִּ֛י אֶת־הַבַּ֥יִת הַזֶּ֖ה כְּשִׁלֹ֑ה וְאֶת־הָעִ֤יר *הזאתה **הַזֹּאת֙ אֶתֵּ֣ן לִקְלָלָ֔ה לְכֹ֖ל גּוֹיֵ֥י הָאָֽרֶץ׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 26:6 then I will make this house like Shiloh, and this city I will make a curse to all the nations of the earth."'" (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:7 ============ Jer 26:7 So the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:7 So the Priestes, and the Prophets, and all the people heard Ieremiah speaking these wordes in the House of the Lorde.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:7 Les sacrificateurs, les prophètes, et tout le peuple, entendirent Jérémie prononcer ces paroles dans la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 7 ׃26 וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֛וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֥ים וְהַנְּבִאִ֖ים וְכָל־הָעָ֑ם אֶֽת־יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ מְדַבֵּ֛ר אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה בְּבֵ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:7 The priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the Lord. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:8 ============ Jer 26:8 Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him, saying, Thou shalt surely die.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:8 Nowe when Ieremiah had made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speake vnto all the people, then the Priestes, and the prophets, and all the people tooke him, and saide, Thou shalt die the death.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:8 Et comme Jérémie achevait de dire tout ce que l'Eternel lui avait ordonné de dire à tout le peuple, les sacrificateurs, les prophètes, et tout le peuple, se saisirent de lui, en disant: Tu mourras!(FR) 8 ׃26 וַיְהִ֣י ׀ כְּכַלּ֣וֹת יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ לְדַבֵּר֙ אֵ֣ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה לְדַבֵּ֖ר אֶל־כָּל־הָעָ֑ם וַיִּתְפְּשׂ֨וּ אֹת֜וֹ הַכֹּהֲנִ֧ים וְהַנְּבִאִ֛ים וְכָל־הָעָ֥ם לֵאמֹ֖ר מ֥וֹת תָּמֽוּת׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:8 When Jeremiah finished speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying, "You must die! (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:9 ============ Jer 26:9 Why hast thou prophesied in the name of the LORD, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:9 Why hast thou prophecied in the Name of the Lorde, saying, This House shall be like Shiloh, & this citie shalbe desolate wtout an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Ieremiah in the House of the Lord.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:9 Pourquoi prophétises-tu au nom de l'Eternel, en disant: Cette maison sera comme Silo, et cette ville sera dévastée, privée d'habitants? Tout le peuple s'attroupa autour de Jérémie dans la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 9 ׃26 מַדּוּעַ֩ נִבֵ֨יתָ בְשֵׁם־יְהוָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר כְּשִׁלוֹ֙ יִֽהְיֶה֙ הַבַּ֣יִת הַזֶּ֔ה וְהָעִ֥יר הַזֹּ֛את תֶּחֱרַ֖ב מֵאֵ֣ין יוֹשֵׁ֑ב וַיִּקָּהֵ֧ל כָּל־הָעָ֛ם אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ בְּבֵ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:9 Why have you prophesied in the name of the Lord saying, 'This house will be like Shiloh and this city will be desolate, without inhabitant'?" And all the people gathered about Jeremiah in the house of the Lord. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:10 ============ Jer 26:10 When the princes of Judah heard these things, then they came up from the king's house unto the house of the LORD, and sat down in the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:10 And when the princes of Iudah heard of these things, they came vp from the Kings house into the House of the Lorde, and sate downe in the entrie of the new gate of the Lords House.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:10 Lorsque les chefs de Juda eurent appris ces choses, ils montèrent de la maison du roi à la maison de l'Eternel, et s'assirent à l'entrée de la porte neuve de la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 10 ׃26 וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֣וּ ׀ שָׂרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה אֵ֚ת הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה וַיַּעֲל֥וּ מִבֵּית־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה וַיֵּֽשְׁב֛וּ בְּפֶ֥תַח שַֽׁעַר־יְהוָ֖ה הֶחָדָֽשׁ׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 26:10 When the officials of Judah heard these things, they came up from the king's house to the house of the Lord and sat in the entrance of the New Gate of the Lord's house. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:11 ============ Jer 26:11 Then spake the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is worthy to die; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:11 Then spake the Priestes, and the prophets vnto the princes, and to all the people, saying, This man is worthie to die: for he hath prophecied against this citie, as ye haue heard with your eares.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:11 Alors les sacrificateurs et les prophètes parlèrent ainsi aux chefs et à tout le peuple: Cet homme mérite la mort; car il a prophétisé contre cette ville, comme vous l'avez entendu de vos oreilles.(FR) 11 ׃26 וַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֤ים וְהַנְּבִאִים֙ אֶל־הַשָּׂרִ֔ים וְאֶל־כָּל־הָעָ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר מִשְׁפַּט־מָ֙וֶת֙ לָאִ֣ישׁ הַזֶּ֔ה כִּ֤י נִבָּא֙ אֶל־הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם בְּאָזְנֵיכֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:11 Then the priests and the prophets spoke to the officials and to all the people, saying, "A death sentence for this man! For he has prophesied against this city as you have heard in your hearing."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:12 ============ Jer 26:12 Then spake Jeremiah unto all the princes and to all the people, saying, The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that ye have heard.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:12 Then spake Ieremiah vnto all the princes, and to al the people, saying, The Lord hath sent me to prophecie against this house and against this citie all the things that ye haue heard.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:12 Jérémie dit à tous les chefs et à tout le peuple: L'Eternel m'a envoyé pour prophétiser contre cette maison et contre cette ville, toutes les choses que vous avez entendues.(FR) 12 ׃26 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ אֶל־כָּל־הַשָּׂרִ֔ים וְאֶל־כָּל־הָעָ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר יְהוָ֣ה שְׁלָחַ֗נִי לְהִנָּבֵ֞א אֶל־הַבַּ֤יִת הַזֶּה֙ וְאֶל־הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר שְׁמַעְתֶּֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:12 Then Jeremiah spoke to all the officials and to all the people, saying, "The Lord sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:13 ============ Jer 26:13 Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:13 Therefore nowe amende your wayes and your workes, and heare the voyce of the Lorde your God, that the Lorde may repent him of the plague, that he hath pronounced against you.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:13 Maintenant réformez vos voies et vos oeuvres, écoutez la voix de l'Eternel, votre Dieu, et l'Eternel se repentira du mal qu'il a prononcé contre vous.(FR) 13 ׃26 וְעַתָּ֗ה הֵיטִ֤יבוּ דַרְכֵיכֶם֙ וּמַ֣עַלְלֵיכֶ֔ם וְשִׁמְע֕וּ בְּק֖וֹל יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם וְיִנָּחֵ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־הָ֣רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבֶּ֖ר עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:13 Now therefore amend your ways and your deeds and obey the voice of the Lord your God; and the Lord will change His mind about the misfortune which He has pronounced against you. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:14 ============ Jer 26:14 As for me, behold, I am in your hand: do with me as seemeth good and meet unto you.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:14 As for me, beholde, I am in your hands: do with me as ye thinke good and right.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:14 Pour moi, me voici entre vos mains; traitez-moi comme il vous semblera bon et juste.(FR) 14 ׃26 וַאֲנִ֖י הִנְנִ֣י בְיֶדְכֶ֑ם עֲשׂוּ־לִ֛י כַּטּ֥וֹב וְכַיָּשָׁ֖ר בְּעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:14 But as for me, behold, I am in your hands; do with me as is good and right in your sight. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:15 ============ Jer 26:15 But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:15 But knowe ye for certaine, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood vpon your selues, and vpon this citie, and vpon the inhabitants thereof: for of a trueth the Lord hath sent me vnto you, to speake all these words in your eares.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:15 Seulement sachez que, si vous me faites mourir, vous vous chargez du sang innocent, vous, cette ville et ses habitants; car l'Eternel m'a véritablement envoyé vers vous pour prononcer à vos oreilles toutes ces paroles.(FR) 15 ׃26 אַ֣ךְ ׀ יָדֹ֣עַ תֵּדְע֗וּ כִּ֣י אִם־מְמִתִ֣ים אַתֶּם֮ אֹתִי֒ כִּי־דָ֣ם נָקִ֗י אַתֶּם֙ נֹתְנִ֣ים עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם וְאֶל־הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּ֖את וְאֶל־יֹשְׁבֶ֑יהָ כִּ֣י בֶאֱמֶ֗ת שְׁלָחַ֤נִי יְהוָה֙ עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם לְדַבֵּר֙ בְּאָזְנֵיכֶ֔ם אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 26:15 Only know for certain that if you put me to death, you will bring innocent blood on yourselves, and on this city and on its inhabitants; for truly the Lord has sent me to you to speak all these words in your hearing." (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:16 ============ Jer 26:16 Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets; This man is not worthy to die: for he hath spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:16 Then saide the princes and all the people vnto the Priestes, and to the prophets, This man is not worthie to die: for he hath spoken vnto vs in the Name of the Lorde our God.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:16 Les chefs et tout le peuple dirent aux sacrificateurs et aux prophètes: Cet homme ne mérite point la mort; car c'est au nom de l'Eternel, notre Dieu, qu'il nous a parlé.(FR) 16 ׃26 וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ הַשָּׂרִים֙ וְכָל־הָעָ֔ם אֶל־הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים וְאֶל־הַנְּבִיאִ֑ים אֵין־לָאִ֤ישׁ הַזֶּה֙ מִשְׁפַּט־מָ֔וֶת כִּ֗י בְּשֵׁ֛ם יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ דִּבֶּ֥ר אֵלֵֽינוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:16 Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and to the prophets, "No death sentence for this man! For he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:17 ============ Jer 26:17 Then rose up certain of the elders of the land, and spake to all the assembly of the people, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 26:17 Then rose vp certaine of the Elders of the lande, and spake to all the assemblie of the people, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 26:17 Et quelques-uns des anciens du pays se levèrent, et dirent à toute l'assemblée du peuple:(FR) 17 ׃26 וַיָּקֻ֣מוּ אֲנָשִׁ֔ים מִזִּקְנֵ֖י הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ אֶל־כָּל־קְהַ֥ל הָעָ֖ם לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:17 Then some of the elders of the land rose up and spoke to all the assembly of the people, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:18 ============ Jer 26:18 Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:18 Michah the Morashite prophecied in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and spake to al the people of Iudah, saying, Thus saith the Lorde of hostes, Zion shall be plowed like a fielde, and Ierusalem shalbe an heape, and the mountaine of the House shalbe as the hie places of the forest.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:18 Michée, de Moréscheth, prophétisait du temps d'Ezéchias, roi de Juda, et il disait à tout le peuple de Juda: Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Sion sera labourée comme un champ, Jérusalem deviendra un monceau de pierres, Et la montagne de la maison une haute forêt.(FR) 18 ׃26 *מיכיה **מִיכָה֙ הַמּ֣וֹרַשְׁתִּ֔י הָיָ֣ה נִבָּ֔א בִּימֵ֖י חִזְקִיָּ֣הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶל־כָּל־עַם֩ יְהוּדָ֨ה לֵאמֹ֜ר כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר ׀ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת צִיּ֞וֹן שָׂדֶ֤ה תֵֽחָרֵשׁ֙ וִירוּשָׁלַ֙יִם֙ עִיִּ֣ים תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה וְהַ֥ר הַבַּ֖יִת לְבָמ֥וֹת יָֽעַר׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:18 "Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, 'Thus the Lord of hosts has said, "Zion will be plowed as a field, And Jerusalem will become ruins, And the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest."'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:19 ============ Jer 26:19 Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:19 Did Hezekiah King of Iudah, and all Iudah put him to death? did he not feare ye Lorde, and prayed before the Lord, and the Lord repented him of the plague, that he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great euill against our soules.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:19 Ezéchias, roi de Juda, et tout Juda l'ont-ils fait mourir? Ezéchias ne craignit-il pas l'Eternel? N'implora-t-il pas l'Eternel? Alors l'Eternel se repentit du mal qu'il avait prononcé contre eux. Did he not fear the Lord and entreat the favor of the Lord, and the Lord changed His mind about the misfortune which He had pronounced against them? But we are committing a great evil against ourselves."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:20 ============ Jer 26:20 And there was also a man that prophesied in the name of the LORD, Urijah the son of Shemaiah of Kirjathjearim, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:20 And there was also a man that prophecied in the Name of the Lord, one Vriiah the sonne of Shemaiah, of Kiriath-iarem, who prophecied against this citie, and against this lande, according to all the wordes of Ieremiah.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:20 Il y eut aussi un homme qui prophétisait au nom de l'Eternel, Urie, fils de Schemaeja, de Kirjath-Jearim. Il prophétisa contre cette ville et contre ce pays entièrement les mêmes choses que Jérémie.(FR) 20 ׃26 וְגַם־אִ֗ישׁ הָיָ֤ה מִתְנַבֵּא֙ בְּ[t]שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה אֽוּרִיָּ֙הוּ֙ בֶּֽן־שְׁמַעְיָ֔הוּ מִקִּרְיַ֖ת הַיְּעָרִ֑ים וַיִּנָּבֵ֞א עַל־הָעִ֤יר הַזֹּאת֙ וְעַל־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את כְּכֹ֖ל דִּבְרֵ֥י יִרְמְיָֽהוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:20 Indeed, there was also a man who prophesied in the name of the Lord, Uriah the son of Shemaiah from Kiriath-jearim; and he prophesied against this city and against this land words similar to all those of Jeremiah. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:21 ============ Jer 26:21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was afraid, and fled, and went into Egypt;(KJV) Jeremiah 26:21 Nowe when Iehoiakim the King with all his men of power, and all the princes heard his wordes, the King sought to slay him. But when Vriiah heard it, he was afraide and fled, and went into Egypt.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:21 Le roi Jojakim, tous ses vaillants hommes, et tous ses chefs, entendirent ses paroles, et le roi chercha à le faire mourir. Urie, qui en fut informé, eut peur, prit la fuite, et alla en Egypte.(FR) 21 ׃26 וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־יְ֠הוֹיָקִים וְכָל־גִּבּוֹרָ֤יו וְכָל־הַשָּׂרִים֙ אֶת־דְּבָרָ֔יו וַיְבַקֵּ֥שׁ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ הֲמִית֑וֹ וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע אוּרִיָּ֙הוּ֙ וַיִּרָ֔א וַיִּבְרַ֖ח וַיָּבֹ֥א מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:21 When King Jehoiakim and all his mighty men and all the officials heard his words, then the king sought to put him to death; but Uriah heard it, and he was afraid and fled and went to Egypt. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:22 ============ Jer 26:22 And Jehoiakim the king sent men into Egypt, namely, Elnathan the son of Achbor, and certain men with him into Egypt.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:22 Then Iehoiakim the King sent men into Egypt, euen Elnathan the sonne of Achbor, and certaine with him into Egypt.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:22 Le roi Jojakim envoya des gens en Egypte, Elnathan, fils d'Acbor, et des gens avec lui en Egypte.(FR) 22 ׃26 וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ יְהוֹיָקִ֛ים אֲנָשִׁ֖ים מִצְרָ֑יִם אֵ֣ת אֶלְנָתָ֧ן בֶּן־עַכְבּ֛וֹר וַאֲנָשִׁ֥ים אִתּ֖וֹ אֶל־מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:22 Then King Jehoiakim sent men to Egypt: Elnathan the son of Achbor and certain men with him went into Egypt. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:23 ============ Jer 26:23 And they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him unto Jehoiakim the king; who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.(KJV) Jeremiah 26:23 And they fet Vriiah out of Egypt, and brought him vnto Iehoiakim the King, who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead bodie into the graues of the children of the people.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:23 Ils firent sortir d'Egypte Urie et l'amenèrent au roi Jojakim, qui le fit mourir par l'épée et jeta son cadavre sur les sépulcres des enfants du peuple.(FR) 23 ׃26 וַיּוֹצִ֨יאוּ אֶת־אוּרִיָּ֜הוּ מִמִּצְרַ֗יִם וַיְבִאֻ֙הוּ֙ אֶל־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ יְהוֹיָקִ֔ים וַיַּכֵּ֖הוּ בֶּחָ֑רֶב וַיַּשְׁלֵךְ֙ אֶת־נִבְלָת֔וֹ אֶל־קִבְרֵ֖י בְּנֵ֥י הָעָֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 26:23 And they brought Uriah from Egypt and led him to King Jehoiakim, who slew him with a sword and cast his dead body into the burial place of the common people. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 26:24 ============ Jer 26:24 Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.(kjv) Jeremiah 26:24 But the hande of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan was with Ieremiah that they shoulde not giue him into the hande of the people to put him to death.(Geneva) Jérémie 26:24 Cependant la main d'Achikam, fils de Schaphan, fut avec Jérémie, et empêcha qu'il ne fût livré au peuple pour être mis à mort.(FR) 24 ׃26 אַ֗ךְ יַ֚ד אֲחִיקָ֣ם בֶּן־שָׁפָ֔ן הָיְתָ֖ה אֶֽת־יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ לְבִלְתִּ֛י תֵּת־אֹת֥וֹ בְיַד־הָעָ֖ם לַהֲמִיתֽוֹ׃ פ Jeremiah Jer 26:24 But the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, so that he was not given into the hands of the people to put him to death.
