Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 45:1 ============ Jer 45:1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 45:1 The woorde that Ieremiah the Prophet spake vnto Baruch the sonne of Neriah, when he had written these woordes in a booke at the mouth of Ieremiah, in the fourth yeere of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 45:1 La parole que Jérémie, le prophète, adressa à Baruc, fils de Nérija, lorsqu'il écrivit dans un livre ces paroles, sous la dictée de Jérémie, la quatrième année de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda. Il dit:(FR) 1 ׃45 הַדָּבָ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֤ר דִּבֶּר֙ יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ הַנָּבִ֔יא אֶל־בָּר֖וּךְ בֶּֽן־נֵֽרִיָּ֑ה בְּכָתְבוֹ֩ אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֨ים הָאֵ֤לֶּה עַל־סֵ֙פֶר֙ מִפִּ֣י יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ בַּשָּׁנָה֙ הָֽרְבִעִ֔ית לִיהוֹיָקִ֧ים בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּ֛הוּ מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 45:1 This is the message which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written down these words in a book at Jeremiah's dictation, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying: (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 45:2 ============ Jer 45:2 Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch:(KJV) Jeremiah 45:2 Thus sayeth the Lorde God of Israel vnto thee, O Baruch,(Geneva) Jérémie 45:2 Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël, sur toi, Baruc:(FR) 2 ׃45 כֹּֽה־אָמַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל עָלֶ֖יךָ בָּרֽוּךְ׃ Jeremiah Jer 45:2 "Thus says the Lord the God of Israel to you, O Baruch: (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 45:3 ============ Jer 45:3 Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.(KJV) Jeremiah 45:3 Thou diddest say, Wo is me nowe: for the Lord hath laied sorrow vnto my sorrowe: I fainted in my mourning, and I can finde no rest.(Geneva) Jérémie 45:3 Tu dis: Malheur à moi! car l'Eternel ajoute le chagrin à ma douleur; je m'épuise en soupirant, et je ne trouve point de repos.(FR) 3 ׃45 אָמַ֙רְתָּ֙ אֽוֹי־נָ֣א לִ֔י כִּֽי־יָסַ֧ף יְהוָ֛ה יָג֖וֹן עַל־מַכְאֹבִ֑י יָגַ֙עְתִּי֙ בְּאַנְחָתִ֔י וּמְנוּחָ֖ה לֹ֥א מָצָֽאתִי׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 45:3 'You said, "Ah, woe is me! For the Lord has added sorrow to my pain; I am weary with my groaning and have found no rest."'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 45:4 ============ Jer 45:4 Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.(KJV) Jeremiah 45:4 Thus shalt thou say vnto him, The Lorde sayeth thus, Behold, that which I haue built, will I destroy, and that which I haue planted, will I plucke vp, euen this whole lande.(Geneva) Jérémie 45:4 Dis-lui: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Voici, ce que j'ai bâti, je le détruirai; ce que j'ai planté, je l'arracherai, savoir tout ce pays.(FR) 4 ׃45 כֹּ֣ה ׀ תֹּאמַ֣ר אֵלָ֗יו כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנֵּ֤ה אֲשֶׁר־בָּנִ֙יתִי֙ אֲנִ֣י הֹרֵ֔ס וְאֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־נָטַ֖עְתִּי אֲנִ֣י נֹתֵ֑שׁ וְאֶת־כָּל־הָאָ֖רֶץ הִֽיא׃ Jeremiah Jer 45:4 Thus you are to say to him, 'Thus says the Lord, "Behold, what I have built I am about to tear down, and what I have planted I am about to uproot, that is, the whole land."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 45:5 ============ Jer 45:5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.(kjv) Jeremiah 45:5 And seekest thou great things for thy self? seeke them not: for beholde, I wil bring a plague vpon al flesh, saith the Lord: but thy life wil I giue thee for a pray in all places, whither thou goest.(Geneva) Jérémie 45:5 Et toi, rechercherais-tu de grandes choses? Ne les recherche pas! Car voici, je vais faire venir le malheur sur toute chair, dit l'Eternel; et je te donnerai ta vie pour butin, dans tous les lieux où tu iras.(FR) 5 ׃45 וְאַתָּ֛ה תְּבַקֶּשׁ־לְךָ֥ גְדֹל֖וֹת אַל־תְּבַקֵּ֑שׁ כִּ֡י הִנְנִי֩ מֵבִ֨יא רָעָ֤ה עַל־כָּל־בָּשָׂר֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה וְנָתַתִּ֨י לְךָ֤ אֶֽת־נַפְשְׁךָ֙ לְשָׁלָ֔ל עַ֥ל כָּל־הַמְּקֹמ֖וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר תֵּֽלֶךְ־שָֽׁם׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 45:5 But you, are you seeking great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I am going to bring disaster on all flesh, 'declares the Lord, 'but I will give your life to you as booty in all the places where you may go.'"
