Today's Date: 4/4/2025 ======= Jeremiah 47:1 ============ Jer 47:1 The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza.(KJV) Jeremiah 47:1 The wordes of the Lord that came to Ieremiah the Prophet, against the Philistims, before that Pharaoh smote Azzah.(Geneva) Jérémie 47:1 La parole de l'Eternel qui fut adressée à Jérémie, le prophète, sur les Philistins, avant que Pharaon frappât Gaza.(FR) 1 ׃47 אֲשֶׁ֨ר הָיָ֧ה דְבַר־יְהוָ֛ה אֶל־יִרְמְיָ֥הוּ הַנָּבִ֖יא אֶל־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים בְּטֶ֛רֶם יַכֶּ֥ה פַרְעֹ֖ה אֶת־עַזָּֽה׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 47:1 That which came as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the Philistines, before Pharaoh conquered Gaza. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 47:2 ============ Jer 47:2 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.(KJV) Jeremiah 47:2 Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, waters rise vp out of the North, and shalbe as a swelling flood, and shall ouerflowe the land, and all that is therein, and the cities with them that dwell therein: then the men shall crie, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howle,(Geneva) Jérémie 47:2 Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Voici, des eaux s'élèvent du septentrion, Elles sont comme un torrent qui déborde; Elles inondent le pays et ce qu'il contient, Les villes et leurs habitants. Les hommes poussent des cris, Tous les habitants du pays se lamentent,(FR) 2 ׃47 כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה הִנֵּה־מַ֜יִם עֹלִ֤ים מִצָּפוֹן֙ וְהָיוּ֙ לְנַ֣חַל שׁוֹטֵ֔ף וְיִ[t]שְׁטְפוּ֙ אֶ֣רֶץ וּמְלוֹאָ֔הּ עִ֖יר וְיֹ֣שְׁבֵי בָ֑הּ וְזָֽעֲקוּ֙ הָֽאָדָ֔ם וְהֵילִ֕ל כֹּ֖ל יוֹשֵׁ֥ב הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Jeremiah Jer 47:2 Thus says the Lord:" Behold, waters are going to rise from the north And become an overflowing torrent, And overflow the land and all its fullness, The city and those who live in it; And the men will cry out, And every inhabitant of the land will wail. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 47:3 ============ Jer 47:3 At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands;(KJV) Jeremiah 47:3 At the noise and stamping of ye hoofes of his strong horses, at the noise of his charets, and at the rumbling of his wheeles: ye fathers shall not looke backe to their children, for feeblenes of handes,(Geneva) Jérémie 47:3 A cause du retentissement des sabots de ses puissants chevaux, Du bruit de ses chars et du fracas des roues; Les pères ne se tournent pas vers leurs enfants, Tant les mains sont affaiblies,(FR) 3 ׃47 מִקּ֗וֹל שַֽׁעֲטַת֙ פַּרְס֣וֹת אַבִּירָ֔יו מֵרַ֣עַשׁ לְרִכְבּ֔וֹ הֲמ֖וֹן גַּלְגִּלָּ֑יו לֹֽא־הִפְנ֤וּ אָבוֹת֙ אֶל־בָּנִ֔ים מֵֽרִפְי֖וֹן יָדָֽיִם׃ Jeremiah Jer 47:3 "Because of the noise of the galloping hoofs of his stallions, The tumult of his chariots, and the rumbling of his wheels, The fathers have not turned back for their children, Because of the limpness of their hands, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 47:4 ============ Jer 47:4 Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyrus and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.(KJV) Jeremiah 47:4 Because of the day that commeth to destroy all the Philistims, and to destroy Tyrus, and Zidon, and all the rest that take their part: for the Lord will destroy the Philistims, the remnant of the yle of Caphtor.(Geneva) Jérémie 47:4 Parce que le jour arrive où seront détruits tous les Philistins, Exterminés tous ceux qui servaient encore d'auxiliaires à Tyr et à Sidon; Car l'Eternel va détruire les Philistins, Les restes de l'île de Caphtor.(FR) 4 ׃47 עַל־הַיּ֗וֹם הַבָּא֙ לִשְׁד֣וֹד אֶת־כָּל־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים לְהַכְרִ֤ית לְצֹר֙ וּלְצִיד֔וֹן כֹּ֖ל שָׂרִ֣יד עֹזֵ֑ר כִּֽי־שֹׁדֵ֤ד יְהוָה֙ אֶת־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים שְׁאֵרִ֖ית אִ֥י כַפְתּֽוֹר׃ Jeremiah Jer 47:4 On account of the day that is coming To destroy all the Philistines, To cut off from Tyre and Sidon Every ally that is left; For the Lord is going to destroy the Philistines, The remnant of the coastland of Caphtor. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 47:5 ============ Jer 47:5 Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself?(KJV) Jeremiah 47:5 Baldenes is come vpon Azzah: Ashkelon is cut vp with the rest of their valleys. Howe long wilt thou thy selfe?(Geneva) Jérémie 47:5 Gaza est devenue chauve, Askalon est dans le silence, le reste de leur plaine aussi. Jusques à quand te feras-tu des incisions? -(FR) 5 ׃47 בָּ֤אָה קָרְחָה֙ אֶל־עַזָּ֔ה נִדְמְתָ֥ה אַשְׁקְל֖וֹן שְׁאֵרִ֣ית עִמְקָ֑ם עַד־מָתַ֖י תִּתְגּוֹדָֽדִי׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 47:5 "Baldness has come upon Gaza; Ashkelon has been ruined. O remnant of their valley, How long will you gash yourself? (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 47:6 ============ Jer 47:6 O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.(KJV) Jeremiah 47:6 O thou sword of the Lord, how long will it be or thou cease! turne againe into thy scaberd, rest and be still.(Geneva) Jérémie 47:6 Ah! épée de l'Eternel, quand te reposeras-tu? Rentre dans ton fourreau, Arrête, et sois tranquille! -(FR) 6 ׃47 ה֗וֹי חֶ֚רֶב לַֽיהוָ֔ה עַד־אָ֖נָה לֹ֣א תִשְׁקֹ֑טִי הֵאָֽסְפִי֙ אַל־תַּעְרֵ֔ךְ הֵרָגְעִ֖י וָדֹֽמִּי׃ Jeremiah Jer 47:6 "Ah, sword of the Lord, How long will you not be quiet? Withdraw into your sheath; Be at rest and stay still. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 47:7 ============ Jer 47:7 How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it.(kjv) Jeremiah 47:7 Howe can it cease, seeing the Lorde hath giuen it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea banke? euen there hath he appointed it.(Geneva) Jérémie 47:7 Comment te reposerais-tu? L'Eternel lui donne ses ordres, C'est contre Askalon et la côte de la mer qu'il la dirige.(FR) 7 ׃47 אֵ֣יךְ תִּשְׁקֹ֔טִי וַֽיהוָ֖ה צִוָּה־לָ֑הּ אֶֽל־אַשְׁקְל֛וֹן וְאֶל־ח֥וֹף הַיָּ֖ם שָׁ֥ם יְעָדָֽהּ׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 47:7 "How can it be quiet, When the Lord has given it an order? Against Ashkelon and against the seacoast-- There He has assigned it." (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 48:1 ============ Jer 48:1 Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.(KJV) Jeremiah 48:1 Concerning Moab, thus saith ye Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Woe vnto Nebo: for it is wasted: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and afraide.(Geneva) Jérémie 48:1 Sur Moab.
