(nasb) ======= Nahum 1:2 ============ Nah 1:2 God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.(KJV) Nahum 1:2 God is ielous, & the Lord reuengeth: the Lord reuengeth: euen the Lorde of anger, the Lorde will take vengeance on his aduersaries, & he reserueth wrath for his enemies.(Geneva) Nahum 1:2 L'Eternel est un Dieu jaloux, il se venge; L'Eternel se venge, il est plein de fureur; L'Eternel se venge de ses adversaires, Il garde rancune à ses ennemis.(FR) 2 ׃1 אֵ֣ל קַנּ֤וֹא וְנֹקֵם֙ יְהוָ֔ה נֹקֵ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה וּבַ֣עַל חֵמָ֑ה נֹקֵ֤ם יְהוָה֙ לְצָרָ֔יו וְנוֹטֵ֥ר ה֖וּא לְאֹיְבָֽיו׃ Nahum Nah 1:2 A jealous and avenging God is the Lord; The Lord is avenging and wrathful. The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies. (nasb) ======= Nahum 1:3 ============ Nah 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.(KJV) Nahum 1:3 The Lord is slow to anger, but he is great in power, and will not surely cleare the wicked: the Lord hath his way in ye whirlewind, & in the storme, and the cloudes are the dust of his feete.(Geneva) Nahum 1:3 L'Eternel est lent à la colère, il est grand par sa force; Il ne laisse pas impuni. In whirlwind and storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet. (nasb) ======= Nahum 1:4 ============ Nah 1:4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.(KJV) Nahum 1:4 He rebuketh the sea, and dryeth it, and he dryeth vp all the riuers: Bashan is wasted and Carmel, and the floure of Lebanon is wasted.(Geneva) Nahum 1:4 Il menace la mer et la dessèche, Il fait tarir tous les fleuves; Le Basan et le Carmel languissent, La fleur du Liban se flétrit.(FR) 4 ׃1 גּוֹעֵ֤ר בַּיָּם֙ וַֽיַּבְּשֵׁ֔הוּ וְכָל־הַנְּהָר֖וֹת הֶֽחֱרִ֑יב אֻמְלַ֤ל בָּשָׁן֙ וְכַרְמֶ֔ל וּפֶ֥רַח לְבָנ֖וֹן אֻמְלָֽל׃ Nahum Nah 1:4 He rebukes the sea and makes it dry; He dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither; The blossoms of Lebanon wither. (nasb) ======= Nahum 1:5 ============ Nah 1:5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.(KJV) Nahum 1:5 The mountaines tremble for him, and the hilles melt, & the earth is burnt at his sight, yea, the worlde, and all that dwell therein.(Geneva) Nahum 1:5 Les montagnes s'ébranlent devant lui, Et les collines se fondent; La terre se soulève devant sa face, Le monde et tous ses habitants.(FR) 5 ׃1 הָרִים֙ רָעֲשׁ֣וּ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ וְהַגְּבָע֖וֹת הִתְמֹגָ֑גוּ וַתִּשָּׂ֤א הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ מִפָּנָ֔יו וְתֵבֵ֖ל וְכָל־יֹ֥שְׁבֵי בָֽהּ׃ Nahum Nah 1:5 Mountains quake because of Him And the hills dissolve; Indeed the earth is upheaved by His presence, The world and all the inhabitants in it. (nasb) ======= Nahum 1:6 ============ Nah 1:6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.(KJV) Nahum 1:6 Who can stande before his wrath? Or who can abide in the fiercenesse of his wrath? His wrath is powred out like fire, and the rockes are broken by him.(Geneva) Nahum 1:6 Qui résistera devant sa fureur? Qui tiendra contre son ardente colère? Sa fureur se répand comme le feu, Et les rochers se brisent devant lui.(FR) 6 ׃1 לִפְנֵ֤י זַעְמוֹ֙ מִ֣י יַֽעֲמ֔וֹד וּמִ֥י יָק֖וּם בַּחֲר֣וֹן אַפּ֑וֹ חֲמָתוֹ֙ נִתְּכָ֣ה כָאֵ֔שׁ וְהַצֻּרִ֖ים נִתְּצ֥וּ מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ Nahum Nah 1:6 Who can stand before His indignation? Who can endure the burning of His anger? His wrath is poured out like fire And the rocks are broken up by Him. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no longer. I will cut off idol and image From the house of your gods. I will prepare your grave, For you are contemptible."(nasb) ======= Nahum 1:15 ============ Nah 1:15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace!
