Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay. He enlarges his appetite like Sheol, And he is like death, never satisfied. He also gathers to himself all nations And collects to himself all peoples. (nasb) ======= Habakkuk 2:6 ============ Hab 2:6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!(KJV) Habakkuk 2:6 Shall not all these take vp a parable against him, and a tanting prouerbe against him, and say, Ho, he that increaseth that which is not his? howe long? and hee that ladeth himselfe with thicke clay?(Geneva) Habacuc 2:6 Ne sera-t-il pas pour tous un sujet de sarcasme, De railleries et d'énigmes? Indeed, you will become plunder for them. (nasb) ======= Habakkuk 2:18 ============ Hab 2:18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?(KJV) Habakkuk 2:18 What profiteth the image? for the maker thereof hath made it an image, and a teacher of lies, though he that made it, trust therein, when he maketh dumme idoles.(Geneva) Habacuc 2:18 A quoi sert une image taillée, pour qu'un ouvrier la taille? For its maker trusts in his own handiwork When he fashions speechless idols. (nasb) ======= Habakkuk 2:19 ============ Hab 2:19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.(KJV) Habakkuk 2:19 Wo vnto him that sayth to the wood, Awake, and to the dumme stone, Rise vp, it shall teach thee: beholde, it is layde ouer with golde and siluer, and there is no breath in it.(Geneva) Habacuc 2:19 Malheur à celui qui dit au bois: Lève-toi! To a mute stone, 'Arise!' And that is your teacher? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, And there is no breath at all inside it.
