Tell us how we shall send it to its place."(nasb) 1Sa 6:2 καὶ καλοῦσιν ἀλλόφυλοι τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ τοὺς μάντεις καὶ τοὺς ἐπαοιδοὺς αὐτῶν λέγοντες τί ποιήσωμεν τῇ κιβωτῷ κυρίου γνωρίσατε ἡμῖν ἐν τίνι ἀποστελοῦμεν αὐτὴν εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτῆς (lxx) 1Sa 6:2 Et vocaverunt Philisthiim sacerdotes et divinos, dicentes: Quid faciemus de arca Domini? indicate nobis quomodo remittamus eam in locum suum. Tell us how we should send it to its place."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:3 ============ 1Sa 6:3 They said, "If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it empty; but you shall surely return to Him a guilt offering. Then you will be healed and it will be known to you why His hand is not removed from you."(nasb) 1Sa 6:3 καὶ εἶπαν εἰ ἐξαπεστέλλετε ὑμεῖς τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου θεοῦ Ισραηλ μὴ δὴ ἐξαποστείλητε αὐτὴν κενήν ἀλλὰ ἀποδιδόντες ἀπόδοτε αὐτῇ τῆς βασάνου καὶ τότε ἰαθήσεσθε καὶ ἐξιλασθήσεται ὑμῖν μὴ οὐκ ἀποστῇ ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ ἀφ᾽ ὑμῶν (lxx) 1Sa 6:3 Si remittitis arcam Dei Israël, nolite dimittere eam vacuam, sed quod debetis, reddite ei pro peccato, et tunc curabimini: et scietis quare non recedat manus ejus a vobis.(vulgate) 1Sa 6:3 Sie sprachen: Wollt ihr die Lade des Gottes Israels senden, so sendet sie nicht leer, sondern sollt ihm vergelten ein Schuldopfer; so werdet ihr gesund werden und wird euch kund werden, warum seine Hand nicht von euch läßt.(dhs) 1Sa 6:3 So they said, "If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it empty; but by all means return it to Him with a trespass offering. Then you will be healed, and it will be known to you why His hand is not removed from you."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:4 ============ 1Sa 6:4 Then they said, "What shall be the guilt offering which we shall return to Him?" And they said, "Five golden tumors and five golden mice according to the number of the lords of the Philistines, for one plague was on all of you and on your lords.(nasb) 1Sa 6:4 καὶ λέγουσιν τί τὸ τῆς βασάνου ἀποδώσομεν αὐτῇ καὶ εἶπαν κατ᾽ ἀριθμὸν τῶν σατραπῶν τῶν ἀλλοφύλων πέντε ἕδρας χρυσᾶς ὅτι πταῖσμα ἓν ὑμῖν καὶ τοῖς ἄρχουσιν ὑμῶν καὶ τῷ λαῷ (lxx) 1Sa 6:4 Qui dixerunt: Quid est quod pro delicto reddere debeamus ei? Responderuntque illi:(vulgate) 1Sa 6:4 Sie aber sprachen: Welches ist das Schuldopfer, das wir ihm geben sollen? Sie antworteten: Fünf goldene Beulen und fünf goldene Mäuse nach der Zahl der fünf Fürsten der Philister; denn es ist einerlei Plage gewesen über euch alle und über eure Fürsten.(dhs) 1Sa 6:4 Then they said, "What is the trespass offering which we shall return to Him?" They answered, "Five golden tumors and five golden rats, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines. For the same plague was on all of you and on your lords.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:5 ============ 1Sa 6:5 So you shall make likenesses of your tumors and likenesses of your mice that ravage the land, and you shall give glory to the God of Israel; perhaps He will ease His hand from you, your gods, and your land.(nasb) 1Sa 6:5 καὶ μῦς χρυσοῦς ὁμοίωμα τῶν μυῶν ὑμῶν τῶν διαφθειρόντων τὴν γῆν καὶ δώσετε τῷ κυρίῳ δόξαν ὅπως κουφίσῃ τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἀφ᾽ ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν θεῶν ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ὑμῶν (lxx) 1Sa 6:5 Juxta numerum provinciarum Philisthinorum quinque anos aureos facietis, et quinque mures aureos: quia plaga una fuit omnibus vobis, et satrapis vestris. Facietisque similitudines anorum vestrorum, et similitudines murium, qui demoliti sunt terram: et dabitis Deo Israël gloriam, si forte relevet manum suam a vobis, et a diis vestris, et a terra vestra.(vulgate) 1Sa 6:5 So müßt ihr nun machen Bilder eurer Beulen und eurer Mäuse, die euer Land verderbt haben, daß ihr dem Gott Israels die Ehre gebt; vielleicht wird seine Hand leichter werden über euch und über euren Gott und über euer Land.(dhs) 1Sa 6:5 Therefore you shall make images of your tumors and images of your rats that ravage the land, and you shall give glory to the God of Israel; perhaps He will lighten His hand from you, from your gods, and from your land.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:6 ============ 1Sa 6:6 Why then do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? When He had severely dealt with them, did they not allow the people to go, and they departed?(nasb) 1Sa 6:6 καὶ ἵνα τί βαρύνετε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ὡς ἐβάρυνεν Αἴγυπτος καὶ Φαραω τὴν καρδίαν αὐτῶν οὐχὶ ὅτε ἐνέπαιξεν αὐτοῖς ἐξαπέστειλαν αὐτούς καὶ ἀπῆλθον (lxx) 1Sa 6:6 Quare aggravatis corda vestra, sicut aggravavit Ægyptus et Pharao cor suum? nonne postquam percussus est, tunc dimisit eos, et abierunt?(vulgate) 1Sa 6:6 Warum verstockt ihr euer Herz, wie die Ägypter und Pharao ihr Herz verstockten? Then send it away that it may go.(nasb) 1Sa 6:8 καὶ λήμψεσθε τὴν κιβωτὸν καὶ θήσετε αὐτὴν ἐπὶ τὴν ἅμαξαν καὶ τὰ σκεύη τὰ χρυσᾶ ἀποδώσετε αὐτῇ τῆς βασάνου καὶ θήσετε ἐν θέματι βερσεχθαν ἐκ μέρους αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξαποστελεῖτε αὐτὴν καὶ ἀπελάσατε αὐτήν καὶ ἀπελεύσεται (lxx) 1Sa 6:8 Tolletisque arcam Domini, et ponetis in plaustro, et vasa aurea quæ exsolvistis ei pro delicto, ponetis in capsellam ad latus ejus: et dimittite eam ut vadat.(vulgate) 1Sa 6:8 Und nehmet die Lade des HERRN und legt sie auf den Wagen; und die goldenen Kleinode, die ihr ihm zum Schuldopfer gebet, tut in ein Kästlein neben ihre Seite. Und sendet sie hin und laßt sie gehen.(dhs) 1Sa 6:8 Then take the ark of the Lord and set it on the cart; and put the articles of gold which you are returning to Him as a trespass offering in a chest by its side. Then send it away, and let it go.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:9 ============ 1Sa 6:9 Watch, if it goes up by the way of its own territory to Beth-shemesh, then He has done us this great evil. But if not, then we will know that it was not His hand that struck us; it happened to us by chance."(nasb) 1Sa 6:9 καὶ ὄψεσθε εἰ εἰς ὁδὸν ὁρίων αὐτῆς πορεύσεται κατὰ Βαιθσαμυς αὐτὸς πεποίηκεν ἡμῖν τὴν κακίαν ταύτην τὴν μεγάλην καὶ ἐὰν μή καὶ γνωσόμεθα ὅτι οὐ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ ἧπται ἡμῶν ἀλλὰ σύμπτωμα τοῦτο γέγονεν ἡμῖν (lxx) 1Sa 6:9 Et aspicietis: et si quidem per viam finium suorum ascenderit contra Bethsames, ipse fecit nobis hoc malum grande: sin autem, minime: sciemus quia nequaquam manus ejus tetigit nos, sed casu accidit.~(vulgate) 1Sa 6:9 Und sehet zu: geht sie hin auf dem Weg ihrer Grenze gen Beth-Semes, so hat er uns all das große Übel getan; wo nicht, so werden wir wissen, daß sein Hand uns nicht gerührt hat, sondern es ist uns ungefähr widerfahren.(dhs) 1Sa 6:9 And watch: if it goes up the road to its own territory, to Beth Shemesh, then He has done us this great evil. And the lords of the Philistines followed them to the border of Beth-shemesh.(nasb) 1Sa 6:12 καὶ κατεύθυναν αἱ βόες ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ εἰς ὁδὸν Βαιθσαμυς ἐν τρίβῳ ἑνὶ ἐπορεύοντο καὶ ἐκοπίων καὶ οὐ μεθίσταντο δεξιὰ οὐδὲ ἀριστερά καὶ οἱ σατράπαι τῶν ἀλλοφύλων ἐπορεύοντο ὀπίσω αὐτῆς ἕως ὁρίων Βαιθσαμυς (lxx) 1Sa 6:12 Ibant autem in directum vaccæ per viam quæ ducit Bethsames, et itinere uno gradiebantur, pergentes et mugientes: et non declinabant neque ad dextram neque ad sinistram: sed et satrapæ Philisthiim sequebantur usque ad terminos Bethsames.(vulgate) 1Sa 6:12 Und die Kühe gingen geradewegs auf Beth-Semes zu auf einer Straße und gingen und blökten und wichen nicht weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken; und die Fürsten der Philister gingen ihnen nach bis an die Grenze von Beth-Semes.(dhs) 1Sa 6:12 Then the cows headed straight for the road to Beth Shemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and did not turn aside to the right hand or the left. And the lords of the Philistines went after them to the border of Beth Shemesh.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:13 ============ 1Sa 6:13 Now the people of Beth-shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley, and they raised their eyes and saw the ark and were glad to see it.(nasb) 1Sa 6:13 καὶ οἱ ἐν Βαιθσαμυς ἐθέριζον θερισμὸν πυρῶν ἐν κοιλάδι καὶ ἦραν ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ εἶδον κιβωτὸν κυρίου καὶ ηὐφράνθησαν εἰς ἀπάντησιν αὐτῆς (lxx) 1Sa 6:13 Porro Bethsamitæ metebant triticum in valle: et elevantes oculos suos, viderunt arcam, et gavisi sunt cum vidissent.(vulgate) 1Sa 6:13 Die Beth-Semiter aber schnitten eben in der Weizenernte im Grund, und hoben ihre Augen auf und sahen die Lade und freuten sich, sie zu sehen.(dhs) 1Sa 6:13 Now the people of Beth Shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley; and they lifted their eyes and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:14 ============ 1Sa 6:14 The cart came into the field of Joshua the Beth-shemite and stood there where there was a large stone; and they split the wood of the cart and offered the cows as a burnt offering to the Lord.(nasb) 1Sa 6:14 καὶ ἡ ἅμαξα εἰσῆλθεν εἰς ἀγρὸν Ωσηε τὸν ἐν Βαιθσαμυς καὶ ἔστησαν ἐκεῖ παρ᾽ αὐτῇ λίθον μέγαν καὶ σχίζουσιν τὰ ξύλα τῆς ἁμάξης καὶ τὰς βόας ἀνήνεγκαν εἰς ὁλοκαύτωσιν τῷ κυρίῳ (lxx) 1Sa 6:14 Et plaustrum venit in agrum Josue Bethsamitæ, et stetit ibi. Erat autem ibi lapis magnus, et conciderunt ligna plaustri, vaccasque imposuerunt super ea holocaustum Domino.(vulgate) 1Sa 6:14 Der Wagen aber kam auf den Acker Josuas, des Beth-Semiters, und stand daselbst still. Und war ein großer Stein daselbst. The large stone on which they set the ark of the Lord is a witness to this day in the field of Joshua the Beth-shemite.(nasb) 1Sa 6:18 καὶ μῦς οἱ χρυσοῖ κατ᾽ ἀριθμὸν πασῶν πόλεων τῶν ἀλλοφύλων τῶν πέντε σατραπῶν ἐκ πόλεως ἐστερεωμένης καὶ ἕως κώμης τοῦ Φερεζαίου καὶ ἕως λίθου τοῦ μεγάλου οὗ ἐπέθηκαν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῦ τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου τοῦ ἐν ἀγρῷ Ωσηε τοῦ Βαιθσαμυσίτου (lxx) 1Sa 6:18 et mures aureos secundum numerum urbium Philisthiim, quinque provinciarum, ab urbe murata usque ad villam quæ erat absque muro, et usque ad Abelmagnum, super quem posuerunt arcam Domini, quæ erat usque in illum diem in agro Josue Bethsamitis.~(vulgate) 1Sa 6:18 und die goldenen Mäuse nach der Zahl aller Städte der Philister unter den fünf Fürsten, der gemauerten Städte und der Dörfer.
