Da das David hörte, zog aus gegen sie.(dhs) 1Ch 14:8 Now when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. And will You give them into my hand?" Then the Lord said to him, "Go up, for I will give them into your hand."(nasb) 1Ch 14:10 καὶ ἠρώτησεν Δαυιδ διὰ τοῦ θεοῦ λέγων εἰ ἀναβῶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ δώσεις αὐτοὺς εἰς τὰς χεῖράς μου καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ κύριος ἀνάβηθι καὶ δώσω αὐτοὺς εἰς τὰς χεῖράς σου (lxx) 1Ch 14:10 Consuluitque David Dominum, dicens: Si ascendam ad Philisthæos, et si trades eos in manu mea? Et dixit ei Dominus: Ascende, et tradam eos in manu tua.(vulgate) 1Ch 14:10 David aber fragte Gott und sprach: Soll ich hinaufziehen wider die Philister? und willst du sie in meine Hand geben? Der HERR sprach zu ihm: Zieh hinauf! ich hab sie in deine Hände gegeben.(dhs) 1Ch 14:10 And David inquired of God, saying, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?" And the Lord said to him, "Go up, for I will deliver them into your hand."(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 14:11 ============ 1Ch 14:11 So they came up to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there; and David said, "God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like the breakthrough of waters." Therefore they named that place Baal-perazim.(nasb) 1Ch 14:11 καὶ ἀνέβη εἰς Βααλφαρασιν καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτοὺς ἐκεῖ Δαυιδ καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ διέκοψεν ὁ θεὸς τοὺς ἐχθρούς μου ἐν χειρί μου ὡς διακοπὴν ὕδατος διὰ τοῦτο ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ τόπου ἐκείνου Διακοπὴ φαρασιν (lxx) 1Ch 14:11 Cumque illi ascendissent in Baalpharasim, percussit eos ibi David, et dixit: Divisit Deus inimicos meos per manum meam, sicut dividuntur aquæ: et idcirco vocatum est nomen illius loci Baalpharasim.(vulgate) 1Ch 14:11 Und da sie hinaufzogen gen Baal-Perazim, schlug sie David daselbst. Und David sprach: Gott hat meine Feinde durch meine Hand zertrennt, wie sich das Wasser trennt. Daher hießen sie die Stätte Baal-Perazim.(dhs) 1Ch 14:11 So they went up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. Then David said, "God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water." Therefore they called the name of that place Baal Perazim.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 14:12 ============ 1Ch 14:12 They abandoned their gods there; so David gave the order and they were burned with fire.(nasb) 1Ch 14:12 καὶ ἐγκατέλιπον ἐκεῖ τοὺς θεοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ κατακαῦσαι αὐτοὺς ἐν πυρί (lxx) 1Ch 14:12 Dereliqueruntque ibi deos suos, quos David jussit exuri.(vulgate) 1Ch 14:12 Und sie ließen ihre Götter daselbst; da hieß sie David mit Feuer verbrennen.(dhs) 1Ch 14:12 And when they left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 14:13 ============ 1Ch 14:13 The Philistines made yet another raid in the valley.(nasb) 1Ch 14:13 καὶ προσέθεντο ἔτι ἀλλόφυλοι καὶ συνέπεσαν ἔτι ἐν τῇ κοιλάδι τῶν γιγάντων (lxx) 1Ch 14:13 Alia etiam vice Philisthiim irruerunt, et diffusi sunt in valle.(vulgate) 1Ch 14:13 Aber die Philister machten sich wieder heran und ließen sich nieder im Grunde.(dhs) 1Ch 14:13 Then the Philistines once again made a raid on the valley.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 14:14 ============ 1Ch 14:14 David inquired again of God, and God said to him, "You shall not go up after them; circle around behind them and come at them in front of the balsam trees.(nasb) 1Ch 14:14 καὶ ἠρώτησεν Δαυιδ ἔτι ἐν θεῷ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ θεός οὐ πορεύσῃ ὀπίσω αὐτῶν ἀποστρέφου ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν καὶ παρέσῃ αὐτοῖς πλησίον τῶν ἀπίων (lxx) 1Ch 14:14 Consuluitque rursum David Deum, et dixit ei Deus: Non ascendas post eos: recede ab eis, et venies contra illos ex adverso pyrorum.(vulgate) 1Ch 14:14 Und David fragte abermals Gott; und Gott sprach zu ihm: Du sollst nicht hinaufziehen hinter ihnen her, sondern lenke dich von ihnen, daß du an sie kommst gegenüber den Maulbeerbäumen.(dhs) 1Ch 14:14 Therefore David inquired again of God, and God said to him, "You shall not go up after them; circle around them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 14:15 ============ 1Ch 14:15 It shall be when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God will have gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines."(nasb) 1Ch 14:15 καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῷ ἀκοῦσαί σε τὴν φωνὴν τοῦ συσσεισμοῦ τῶν ἄκρων τῶν ἀπίων τότε ἐξελεύσῃ εἰς τὸν πόλεμον ὅτι ἐξῆλθεν ὁ θεὸς ἔμπροσθέν σου τοῦ πατάξαι τὴν παρεμβολὴν τῶν ἀλλοφύλων (lxx) 1Ch 14:15 Cumque audieris sonitum gradientis in cacumine pyrorum, tunc egredieris ad bellum: egressus est enim Deus ante te, ut percutiat castra Philisthiim.(vulgate) 1Ch 14:15 Wenn du dann wirst hören das Rauschen oben auf den Maulbeerbäumen einhergehen, so fahre heraus zum Streit; denn Gott ist da vor dir ausgezogen, zu schlagen der Philister Heer.(dhs) 1Ch 14:15 And it shall be, when you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines."(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 14:16 ============ 1Ch 14:16 David did just as God had commanded him, and they struck down the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even as far as Gezer.(nasb) 1Ch 14:16 καὶ ἐποίησεν καθὼς ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ ὁ θεός καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὴν παρεμβολὴν τῶν ἀλλοφύλων ἀπὸ Γαβαων ἕως Γαζαρα (lxx) 1Ch 14:16 Fecit ergo David sicut præceperat ei Deus, et percussit castra Philisthinorum, de Gabaon usque Gazera.(vulgate) 1Ch 14:16 Und David tat, wie ihm Gott geboten hatte; und sie schlugen das Heer der Philister von Gibeon an bis gen Geser.(dhs) 1Ch 14:16 So David did as God commanded him, and they drove back the army of the Philistines from Gibeon as far as Gezer.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 14:17 ============ 1Ch 14:17 Then the fame of David went out into all the lands; and the Lord brought the fear of him on all the nations.(nasb) 1Ch 14:17 καὶ ἐγένετο ὄνομα Δαυιδ ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ καὶ κύριος ἔδωκεν τὸν φόβον αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη (lxx) 1Ch 14:17 Divulgatumque est nomen David in universis regionibus, et Dominus dedit pavorem ejus super omnes gentes.(vulgate) 1Ch 14:17 Und Davids Namen ging aus in alle Lande, und der HERR ließ seine Furcht über alle Heiden kommen.(dhs) 1Ch 14:17 Then the fame of David went out into all lands, and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations.(nkjv) ======= 1 Chronicles 15:1 ============ top of the page
