Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 11:1 ============ Isa 11:1 Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit.(nasb) Isa 11:1 καὶ ἐξελεύσεται ῥάβδος ἐκ τῆς ῥίζης Ιεσσαι καὶ ἄνθος ἐκ τῆς ῥίζης ἀναβήσεται (lxx) Isa 11:1 [Et egredietur virga de radice Jesse, et flos de radice ejus ascendet.(vulgate) Isa 11:1 Und es wird eine Rute aufgehen von dem Stamm Isa s und eine Zweig aus seiner Wurzel Frucht bringen,(dhs) Isa 11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:2 ============ Isa 11:2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.(nasb) Isa 11:2 καὶ ἀναπαύσεται ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν πνεῦμα τοῦ θεοῦ πνεῦμα σοφίας καὶ συνέσεως πνεῦμα βουλῆς καὶ ἰσχύος πνεῦμα γνώσεως καὶ εὐσεβείας (lxx) Isa 11:2 Et requiescet super eum spiritus Domini: spiritus sapientiæ et intellectus, spiritus consilii et fortitudinis, spiritus scientiæ et pietatis;(vulgate) Isa 11:2 auf welchem wird ruhen der Geist des HERRN, der Geist der Weisheit und des Verstandes, der Geist des Rates und der Stärke, der Geist der Erkenntnis und der Furcht des HERRN.(dhs) Isa 11:2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:3 ============ Isa 11:3 And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;(nasb) Isa 11:3 ἐμπλήσει αὐτὸν πνεῦμα φόβου θεοῦ οὐ κατὰ τὴν δόξαν κρινεῖ οὐδὲ κατὰ τὴν λαλιὰν ἐλέγξει (lxx) Isa 11:3 et replebit eum spiritus timoris Domini. Non secundum visionem oculorum judicabit, neque secundum auditum aurium arguet;(vulgate) Isa 11:3 Und Wohlgeruch wird ihm sein die Furcht des HERRN. Er wird nicht richten, nach dem seine Augen sehen, noch Urteil sprechen, nach dem seine Ohren hören,(dhs) Isa 11:3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:4 ============ Isa 11:4 But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.(nasb) Isa 11:4 ἀλλὰ κρινεῖ ταπεινῷ κρίσιν καὶ ἐλέγξει τοὺς ταπεινοὺς τῆς γῆς καὶ πατάξει γῆν τῷ λόγῳ τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν πνεύματι διὰ χειλέων ἀνελεῖ ἀσεβῆ (lxx) Isa 11:4 sed judicabit in justitia pauperes, et arguet in æquitate pro mansuetis terræ; et percutiet terram virga oris sui, et spiritu labiorum suorum interficiet impium.(vulgate) Isa 11:4 sondern wird mit Gerechtigkeit richten die Armen und rechtes Urteil sprechen den Elenden im Lande und wird mit dem Stabe seines Mundes die Erde schlagen und mit dem Odem seiner Lippen den Gottlosen töten.(dhs) Isa 11:4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:5 ============ Isa 11:5 Also righteousness will be the belt about His loins, And faithfulness the belt about His waist.(nasb) Isa 11:5 καὶ ἔσται δικαιοσύνῃ ἐζωσμένος τὴν ὀσφὺν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀληθείᾳ εἰλημένος τὰς πλευράς (lxx) Isa 11:5 Et erit justitia cingulum lumborum ejus, et fides cinctorium renum ejus.(vulgate) Isa 11:5 Gerechtigkeit wird der Gurt seiner Lenden sein und der Glaube der Gurt seiner Hüften.(dhs) Isa 11:5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:6 ============ Isa 11:6 And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the young goat, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them.(nasb) Isa 11:6 καὶ συμβοσκηθήσεται λύκος μετὰ ἀρνός καὶ πάρδαλις συναναπαύσεται ἐρίφῳ καὶ μοσχάριον καὶ ταῦρος καὶ λέων ἅμα βοσκηθήσονται καὶ παιδίον μικρὸν ἄξει αὐτούς (lxx) Isa 11:6 Habitabit lupus cum agno, et pardus cum hædo accubabit; vitulus, et leo, et ovis, simul morabuntur, et puer parvulus minabit eos.(vulgate) Isa 11:6 Die Wölfe werden bei den Lämmern wohnen und die Parder bei den Böcken liegen. Ein kleiner Knabe wird Kälber und junge Löwen und Mastvieh miteinander treiben.(dhs) Isa 11:6 "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:7 ============ Isa 11:7 Also the cow and the bear will graze, Their young will lie down together, And the lion will eat straw like the ox.(nasb) Isa 11:7 καὶ βοῦς καὶ ἄρκος ἅμα βοσκηθήσονται καὶ ἅμα τὰ παιδία αὐτῶν ἔσονται καὶ λέων καὶ βοῦς ἅμα φάγονται ἄχυρα (lxx) Isa 11:7 Vitulus et ursus pascentur, simul requiescent catuli eorum; et leo quasi bos comedet paleas.(vulgate) Isa 11:7 Kühe und Bären werden auf der Weide gehen, daß ihre Jungen beieinander liegen; und Löwen werden Stroh essen wie die Ochsen.(dhs) Isa 11:7 The cow and the bear shall graze; et in caverna reguli qui ablactatus fuerit manum suam mittet.(vulgate) Isa 11:8 Und ein Säugling wird seine Lust haben am Loch der Otter, und ein Entwöhnter wird seine Hand stecken in die Höhle des Basilisken.(dhs) Isa 11:8 The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:9 ============ Isa 11:9 They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea.(nasb) Isa 11:9 καὶ οὐ μὴ κακοποιήσωσιν οὐδὲ μὴ δύνωνται ἀπολέσαι οὐδένα ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἅγιόν μου ὅτι ἐνεπλήσθη ἡ σύμπασα τοῦ γνῶναι τὸν κύριον ὡς ὕδωρ πολὺ κατακαλύψαι θαλάσσας (lxx) Isa 11:9 Non nocebunt, et non occident in universo monte sancto meo, quia repleta est terra scientia Domini, sicut aquæ maris operientes.]~(vulgate) Isa 11:9 Man wird niemand Schaden tun noch verderben auf meinem ganzen heiligen Berge; denn das Land ist voll Erkenntnis des HERRN, wie Wasser das Meer bedeckt.(dhs) Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:10 ============ Isa 11:10 Then in that day The nations will resort to the root of Jesse, Who will stand as a signal for the peoples; And His resting place will be glorious.(nasb) Isa 11:10 καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἡ ῥίζα τοῦ Ιεσσαι καὶ ὁ ἀνιστάμενος ἄρχειν ἐθνῶν ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ἔθνη ἐλπιοῦσιν καὶ ἔσται ἡ ἀνάπαυσις αὐτοῦ τιμή (lxx) Isa 11:10 [In die illa radix Jesse, qui stat in signum populorum, ipsum gentes deprecabuntur, et erit sepulchrum ejus gloriosum.(vulgate) Isa 11:10 Und es wird geschehen zu der Zeit, daß die Wurzel Isa , die da steht zum Panier den Völkern, nach der werden die Heiden fragen; und seine Ruhe wird Ehre sein.(dhs) Isa 11:10 "And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:11 ============ Isa 11:11 Then it will happen on that day that the Lord Will again recover the second time with His hand The remnant of His people, who will remain, From Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, And from the islands of the sea.(nasb) Isa 11:11 καὶ ἔσται τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ προσθήσει κύριος τοῦ δεῖξαι τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ τοῦ ζηλῶσαι τὸ καταλειφθὲν ὑπόλοιπον τοῦ λαοῦ ὃ ἂν καταλειφθῇ ἀπὸ τῶν Ἀσσυρίων καὶ ἀπὸ Αἰγύπτου καὶ Βαβυλωνίας καὶ Αἰθιοπίας καὶ ἀπὸ Αιλαμιτῶν καὶ ἀπὸ ἡλίου ἀνατολῶν καὶ ἐξ Ἀραβίας (lxx) Isa 11:11 Et erit in die illa: adjiciet Dominus secundo manum suam ad possidendum residuum populi sui, quod relinquetur ab Assyriis, et ab Ægypto, et a Phetros, et ab Æthiopia, et ab Ælam, et a Sennaar, et ab Emath, et ab insulis maris.(vulgate) Isa 11:11 Und der HERR wird zu der Zeit zum andernmal seine Hand ausstrecken, daß er das übrige Volk erwerbe, so übriggeblieben von Assur, Ägypten, Pathros, Mohrenland, Elam, Sinear, Hamath und von den Inseln des Meeres,(dhs) Isa 11:11 It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:12 ============ Isa 11:12 And He will lift up a standard for the nations And assemble the banished ones of Israel, And will gather the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth.(nasb) Isa 11:12 καὶ ἀρεῖ σημεῖον εἰς τὰ ἔθνη καὶ συνάξει τοὺς ἀπολομένους Ισραηλ καὶ τοὺς διεσπαρμένους τοῦ Ιουδα συνάξει ἐκ τῶν τεσσάρων πτερύγων τῆς γῆς (lxx) Isa 11:12 Et levabit signum in nationes, et congregabit profugos Israël, et dispersos Juda colliget a quatuor plagis terræ.(vulgate) Isa 11:12 und wird ein Panier unter die Heiden aufwerfen und zusammenbringen die Verjagten Israels und die Zerstreuten aus Juda zuhauf führen von den vier Enden des Erdreichs;(dhs) Isa 11:12 He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:13 ============ Isa 11:13 Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart, And those who harass Judah will be cut off; Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, And Judah will not harass Ephraim.(nasb) Isa 11:13 καὶ ἀφαιρεθήσεται ὁ ζῆλος Εφραιμ καὶ οἱ ἐχθροὶ Ιουδα ἀπολοῦνται Εφραιμ οὐ ζηλώσει Ιουδαν καὶ Ιουδας οὐ θλίψει Εφραιμ (lxx) Isa 11:13 Et auferetur zelus Ephraim, et hostes Juda peribunt; Ephraim non æmulabitur Judam, et Judas non pugnabit contra Ephraim.(vulgate) Isa 11:13 und der Neid gegen Ephraim wird aufhören, und die Feinde Juda's werden ausgerottet werden, daß Ephraim nicht neide den Juda und Juda nicht sei gegen Ephraim.(dhs) Isa 11:13 Also the envy of Ephraim shall depart, And the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, And Judah shall not harass Ephraim.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:14 ============ Isa 11:14 They will swoop down on the slopes of the Philistines on the west; Together they will plunder the sons of the east; They will possess Edom and Moab, And the sons of Ammon will be subject to them.(nasb) Isa 11:14 καὶ πετασθήσονται ἐν πλοίοις ἀλλοφύλων θάλασσαν ἅμα προνομεύσουσιν καὶ τοὺς ἀφ᾽ ἡλίου ἀνατολῶν καὶ Ιδουμαίαν καὶ ἐπὶ Μωαβ πρῶτον τὰς χεῖρας ἐπιβαλοῦσιν οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ Αμμων πρῶτοι ὑπακούσονται (lxx) Isa 11:14 Et volabunt in humeros Philisthiim per mare, simul prædabuntur filios orientis; Idumæa et Moab præceptum manus eorum, et filii Ammon obedientes erunt.(vulgate) Isa 11:14 Sie werden aber den Philistern auf dem Halse sein gegen Abend und berauben alle die, so gegen Morgen wohnen; Edom und Moab werden ihre Hände gegen sie falten; die Kinder Ammon werden gehorsam sein.(dhs) Isa 11:14 But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west; Together they shall plunder the people of the East; They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab; And the people of Ammon shall obey them.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 11:15 ============ Isa 11:15 And the Lord will utterly destroy The tongue of the Sea of Egypt; And He will wave His hand over the River With His scorching wind; And He will strike it into seven streams And make men walk over dry-shod.(nasb) Isa 11:15 καὶ ἐρημώσει κύριος τὴν θάλασσαν Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐπιβαλεῖ τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν ποταμὸν πνεύματι βιαίῳ καὶ πατάξει ἑπτὰ φάραγγας ὥστε διαπορεύεσθαι αὐτὸν ἐν ὑποδήμασιν (lxx) Isa 11:15 Et desolabit Dominus linguam maris Ægypti, et levabit manum suam super flumen in fortitudine spiritus sui; et percutiet eum in septem rivis, ita ut transeant per eum calceati.(vulgate) Isa 11:15 Und der HERR wird verbannen die Zunge des Meeres in Ägypten und wird seine Hand lassen gehen über den Strom mit einem starken Winde und ihn in sieben Bäche zerschlagen, daß man mit Schuhen dadurchgehen kann.(dhs) Isa 11:15 The Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt;
