Today's Date: ======= Ezekiel 15:1 ============ Eze 15:1 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nasb) Eze 15:1 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (lxx) Eze 15:1 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Eze 15:1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Eze 15:1 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 15:2 ============ Eze 15:2 "Son of man, how is the wood of the vine better than any wood of a branch which is among the trees of the forest?(nasb) Eze 15:2 καὶ σύ υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου τί ἂν γένοιτο τὸ ξύλον τῆς ἀμπέλου ἐκ πάντων τῶν ξύλων τῶν κλημάτων τῶν ὄντων ἐν τοῖς ξύλοις τοῦ δρυμοῦ (lxx) Eze 15:2 [Fili hominis, quid fiet de ligno vitis, ex omnibus lignis nemorum quæ sunt inter ligna silvarum?(vulgate) Eze 15:2 Du Menschenkind, was ist das Holz vom Weinstock vor anderm Holz oder eine Rebe vor anderm Holz im Walde?(dhs) Eze 15:2 "Son of man, how is the wood of the vine better than any other wood, the vine branch which is among the trees of the forest?(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 15:3 ============ Eze 15:3 Can wood be taken from it to make anything, or can men take a peg from it on which to hang any vessel?(nasb) Eze 15:3 εἰ λήμψονται ἐξ αὐτῆς ξύλον τοῦ ποιῆσαι εἰς ἐργασίαν εἰ λήμψονται ἐξ αὐτῆς πάσσαλον τοῦ κρεμάσαι ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν πᾶν σκεῦος (lxx) Eze 15:3 numquid tolletur de ea lignum ut fiat opus, aut fabricabitur de ea paxillus ut dependeat in eo quodcumque vas?(vulgate) Eze 15:3 Nimmt man es auch und macht etwas daraus? Macht man auch nur einen Nagel daraus, daran man etwas hängen kann?(dhs) Eze 15:3 Is wood taken from it to make any object? Or can men make a peg from it to hang any vessel on?(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 15:4 ============ Eze 15:4 If it has been put into the fire for fuel, and the fire has consumed both of its ends and its middle part has been charred, is it then useful for anything?(nasb) Eze 15:4 πάρεξ πυρὶ δέδοται εἰς ἀνάλωσιν τὴν κατ᾽ ἐνιαυτὸν κάθαρσιν ἀπ᾽ αὐτῆς ἀναλίσκει τὸ πῦρ καὶ ἐκλείπει εἰς τέλος μὴ χρήσιμον ἔσται εἰς ἐργασίαν (lxx) Eze 15:4 Ecce igni datum est in escam: utramque partem ejus consumpsit ignis, et medietas ejus redacta est in favillam: numquid utile erit ad opus?(vulgate) Eze 15:4 Siehe, man wirft sie ins Feuer, daß es verzehrt wird, daß das Feuer seine beiden Enden verzehrt und sein Mittles versengt; wozu sollte es nun taugen?(dhs) Eze 15:4 Instead, it is thrown into the fire for fuel; the fire devours both ends of it, and its middle is burned. Is it useful for any work?(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 15:5 ============ Eze 15:5 Behold, while it is intact, it is not made into anything. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it still be made into anything!(nasb) Eze 15:5 οὐδὲ ἔτι αὐτοῦ ὄντος ὁλοκλήρου οὐκ ἔσται εἰς ἐργασίαν μὴ ὅτι ἐὰν καὶ πῦρ αὐτὸ ἀναλώσῃ εἰς τέλος εἰ ἔσται ἔτι εἰς ἐργασίαν (lxx) Eze 15:5 Etiam cum esset integrum, non erat aptum ad opus: quanto magis cum illud ignis devoraverit et combusserit, nihil ex eo fiet operis?(vulgate) Eze 15:5 Siehe, da es noch ganz war, konnte man nichts daraus machen; wie viel weniger kann nun hinfort etwas daraus gemacht werden, so es das Feuer verzehrt und versengt hat!(dhs) Eze 15:5 Indeed, when it was whole, no object could be made from it. How much less will it be useful for any work when the fire has devoured it, and it is burned?(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 15:6 ============ Eze 15:6 Therefore, thus says the Lord God, 'As the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem;(nasb) Eze 15:6 διὰ τοῦτο εἰπόν τάδε λέγει κύριος ὃν τρόπον τὸ ξύλον τῆς ἀμπέλου ἐν τοῖς ξύλοις τοῦ δρυμοῦ ὃ δέδωκα αὐτὸ τῷ πυρὶ εἰς ἀνάλωσιν οὕτως δέδωκα τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Eze 15:6 Propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Quomodo lignum vitis inter ligna silvarum, quod dedi igni ad devorandum, sic tradam habitatores Jerusalem.(vulgate) Eze 15:6 Darum spricht der HERR HERR: Gleichwie ich das Holz vom Weinstock vor anderm Holz im Walde dem Feuer zu verzehren gebe, also will ich mit den Einwohnern zu Jerusalem auch umgehen(dhs) Eze 15:6 "Therefore thus says the Lord God: 'Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give up the inhabitants of Jerusalem;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 15:7 ============ Eze 15:7 and I set My face against them. Though they have come out of the fire, yet the fire will consume them. Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I set My face against them.(nasb) Eze 15:7 καὶ δώσω τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς ἐκ τοῦ πυρὸς ἐξελεύσονται καὶ πῦρ αὐτοὺς καταφάγεται καὶ ἐπιγνώσονται ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ἐν τῷ στηρίσαι με τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς (lxx) Eze 15:7 Et ponam faciem meam in eos: de igne egredientur, et ignis consumet eos: et scietis quia ego Dominus, cum posuero faciem meam in eos,(vulgate) Eze 15:7 und will mein Angesicht wider sie setzen, daß das Feuer sie fressen soll, ob sie schon aus dem Feuer herausgekommen sind. Und ihr sollt's erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin, wenn ich mein Angesicht wider sie setze(dhs) Eze 15:7 and I will set My face against them. They will go out from one fire, but another fire shall devour them. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I set My face against them.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 15:8 ============ Eze 15:8 Thus I will make the land desolate, because they have acted unfaithfully, '" declares the Lord God.(nasb) Eze 15:8 καὶ δώσω τὴν γῆν εἰς ἀφανισμὸν ἀνθ᾽ ὧν παρέπεσον παραπτώματι λέγει κύριος (lxx) Eze 15:8 et dedero terram inviam et desolatam, eo quod prævaricatores extiterint, dicit Dominus Deus.](vulgate) Eze 15:8 und das Land wüst mache, darum daß sie mich verschmähen, spricht der HERR HERR.(dhs) Eze 15:8 Thus I will make the land desolate, because they have persisted in unfaithfulness,' says the Lord God."(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 16:1 ============ top of the page
