He said to Him, "Lord, do You wash my feet?"(nasb) Jn 13:6 ἔρχεται οὗν πρὸς σίμωνα πέτρον. λέγει αὐτῶ, κύριε, σύ μου νίπτεις τοὺς πόδας;(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:6 Venit ergo ad Simonem Petrum. Et dicit ei Petrus: Domine, tu mihi lavas pedes?(vulgate) Jn 13:6 Da kam er zu Simon Petrus; und der sprach zu ihm: HERR, sollst du mir meine Füße waschen?(dhs) Jn 13:6 Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, "Lord, are You washing my feet?"(nkjv) ======= John 13:7 ============ Jn 13:7 Jesus answered and said to him, "What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand hereafter."(nasb) Jn 13:7 ἀπεκρίθη ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῶ, ὃ ἐγὼ ποιῶ σὺ οὐκ οἶδας ἄρτι, γνώσῃ δὲ μετὰ ταῦτα.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:7 Respondit Jesus, et dixit ei: Quod ego facio, tu nescis modo: scies autem postea.(vulgate) Jn 13:7 Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Was ich tue, das weißt du jetzt nicht; du wirst es aber hernach erfahren.(dhs) Jn 13:7 Jesus answered and said to him, "What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this."(nkjv) ======= John 13:8 ============ Jn 13:8 Peter said to Him, "Never shall You wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me."(nasb) Jn 13:8 λέγει αὐτῶ πέτρος, οὐ μὴ νίψῃς μου τοὺς πόδας εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα. ἀπεκρίθη ἰησοῦς αὐτῶ, ἐὰν μὴ νίψω σε, οὐκ ἔχεις μέρος μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:8 Dicit ei Petrus: Non lavabis mihi pedes in æternum. Respondit ei Jesus: Si non lavero te, non habebis partem mecum.(vulgate) Jn 13:8 Da sprach Petrus zu ihm: Nimmermehr sollst du meine Füße waschen! Jesus antwortete ihm: Werde ich dich nicht waschen, so hast du kein Teil mit mir.(dhs) Jn 13:8 Peter said to Him, "You shall never wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me."(nkjv) ======= John 13:9 ============ Jn 13:9 Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head."(nasb) Jn 13:9 λέγει αὐτῶ σίμων πέτρος, κύριε, μὴ τοὺς πόδας μου μόνον ἀλλὰ καὶ τὰς χεῖρας καὶ τὴν κεφαλήν.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:9 Dicit ei Simon Petrus: Domine, non tantum pedes meos, sed et manus, et caput.(vulgate) Jn 13:9 So spricht zu ihm Simon Petrus: HERR, nicht die Füße allein, sondern auch die Hände und das Haupt!(dhs) Jn 13:9 Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!"(nkjv) ======= John 13:10 ============ Jn 13:10 Jesus said to him, "He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you."(nasb) Jn 13:10 λέγει αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς, ὁ λελουμένος οὐκ ἔχει χρείαν εἰ μὴ τοὺς πόδας νίψασθαι, ἀλλ᾽ ἔστιν καθαρὸς ὅλος· καὶ ὑμεῖς καθαροί ἐστε, ἀλλ᾽ οὐχὶ πάντες.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:10 Dicit ei Jesus: Qui lotus est, non indiget nisi ut pedes lavet, sed est mundus totus. Et vos mundi estis, sed non omnes.(vulgate) Jn 13:10 Spricht Jesus zu ihm: Wer gewaschen ist, bedarf nichts denn die Füße waschen, sondern er ist ganz rein. Und ihr seid rein, aber nicht alle.(dhs) Jn 13:10 Jesus said to him, "He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you."(nkjv) ======= John 13:11 ============ Jn 13:11 For He knew the one who was betraying Him; for this reason He said, "Not all of you are clean."(nasb) Jn 13:11 ᾔδει γὰρ τὸν παραδιδόντα αὐτόν· διὰ τοῦτο εἶπεν ὅτι οὐχὶ πάντες καθαροί ἐστε.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:11 Sciebat enim quisnam esset qui traderet eum; propterea dixit: Non estis mundi omnes.(vulgate) Jn 13:11 (Denn er wußte seinen Verräter wohl; darum sprach er: Ihr seid nicht alle rein.)(dhs) Jn 13:11 For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, "You are not all clean."(nkjv) ======= John 13:12 ============ Jn 13:12 So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you?(nasb) Jn 13:12 ὅτε οὗν ἔνιψεν τοὺς πόδας αὐτῶν [καὶ] ἔλαβεν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνέπεσεν πάλιν, εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, γινώσκετε τί πεποίηκα ὑμῖν;(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:12 Postquam ergo lavit pedes eorum, et accepit vestimenta sua, cum recubuisset iterum, dixit eis: Scitis quid fecerim vobis?(vulgate) Jn 13:12 Da er nun ihre Füße gewaschen hatte, nahm er wieder seine Kleider und setzte sich wieder nieder und sprach abermals zu ihnen: Wisset ihr, was ich euch getan habe?(dhs) Jn 13:12 So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you?(nkjv) ======= John 13:13 ============ Jn 13:13 You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am.(nasb) Jn 13:13 ὑμεῖς φωνεῖτέ με ὁ διδάσκαλος καὶ ὁ κύριος, καὶ καλῶς λέγετε, εἰμὶ γάρ.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:13 Vos vocatis me Magister et Domine, et bene dicitis: sum etenim.(vulgate) Jn 13:13 Ihr heißet mich Meister und HERR und saget recht daran, denn ich bin es auch.(dhs) Jn 13:13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.(nkjv) ======= John 13:14 ============ Jn 13:14 If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.(nasb) Jn 13:14 εἰ οὗν ἐγὼ ἔνιψα ὑμῶν τοὺς πόδας ὁ κύριος καὶ ὁ διδάσκαλος, καὶ ὑμεῖς ὀφείλετε ἀλλήλων νίπτειν τοὺς πόδας·(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:14 Si ergo ego lavi pedes vestros, Dominus et Magister, et vos debetis alter alterutrum lavare pedes.(vulgate) Jn 13:14 So nun ich, euer HERR und Meister, euch die Füße gewaschen habe, so sollt ihr auch euch untereinander die Füße waschen.(dhs) Jn 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.(nkjv) ======= John 13:15 ============ Jn 13:15 For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.(nasb) Jn 13:15 ὑπόδειγμα γὰρ ἔδωκα ὑμῖν ἵνα καθὼς ἐγὼ ἐποίησα ὑμῖν καὶ ὑμεῖς ποιῆτε.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:15 Exemplum enim dedi vobis, ut quemadmodum ego feci vobis, ita et vos faciatis.(vulgate) Jn 13:15 Ein Beispiel habe ich euch gegeben, daß ihr tut, wie ich euch getan habe.(dhs) Jn 13:15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.(nkjv) ======= John 13:16 ============ Jn 13:16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.(nasb) Jn 13:16 ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐκ ἔστιν δοῦλος μείζων τοῦ κυρίου αὐτοῦ οὐδὲ ἀπόστολος μείζων τοῦ πέμψαντος αὐτόν.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:16 Amen, amen dico vobis: non est servus major domino suo: neque apostolus major est eo qui misit illum.(vulgate) Jn 13:16 Wahrlich, wahrlich ich sage euch: Der Knecht ist nicht größer denn sein Herr, noch der Apostel größer denn der ihn gesandt hat.(dhs) Jn 13:16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.(nkjv) ======= John 13:17 ============ Jn 13:17 If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.(nasb) Jn 13:17 εἰ ταῦτα οἴδατε, μακάριοί ἐστε ἐὰν ποιῆτε αὐτά.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:17 Si hæc scitis, beati eritis si feceritis ea.(vulgate) Jn 13:17 So ihr solches wisset, selig seid ihr, so ihr's tut.(dhs) Jn 13:17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.(nkjv) ======= John 13:18 ============ Jn 13:18 I do not speak of all of you. I know the ones I have chosen; but it is that the Scripture may be fulfilled, 'He who eats My bread has lifted up his heel against Me.'(nasb) Jn 13:18 οὐ περὶ πάντων ὑμῶν λέγω· ἐγὼ οἶδα τίνας ἐξελεξάμην· ἀλλ᾽ ἵνα ἡ γραφὴ πληρωθῇ, ὁ τρώγων μου τὸν ἄρτον ἐπῆρεν ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τὴν πτέρναν αὐτοῦ.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:18 Non de omnibus vobis dico: ego scio quos elegerim; sed ut adimpleatur Scriptura: Qui manducat mecum panem, levabit contra me calcaneum suum.(vulgate) Jn 13:18 Nicht sage ich von euch allen; ich weiß, welche ich erwählt habe. So when He had dipped the morsel, He took and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.(nasb) Jn 13:26 ἀποκρίνεται [ὁ] ἰησοῦς, ἐκεῖνός ἐστιν ᾧ ἐγὼ βάψω τὸ ψωμίον καὶ δώσω αὐτῶ. βάψας οὗν τὸ ψωμίον [λαμβάνει καὶ] δίδωσιν ἰούδᾳ σίμωνος ἰσκαριώτου.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:26 Respondit Jesus: Ille est cui ego intinctum panem porrexero. Et cum intinxisset panem, dedit Judæ Simonis Iscariotæ.(vulgate) Jn 13:26 Jesus antwortete: Der ist's, dem ich den Bissen eintauche und gebe. Und er tauchte den Bissen ein und gab ihn Judas, Simons Sohn, dem Ischariot.(dhs) Jn 13:26 Jesus answered, "It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it." And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.(nkjv) ======= John 13:27 ============ Jn 13:27 After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly."(nasb) Jn 13:27 καὶ μετὰ τὸ ψωμίον τότε εἰσῆλθεν εἰς ἐκεῖνον ὁ σατανᾶς. λέγει οὗν αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς, ὃ ποιεῖς ποίησον τάχιον.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:27 Et post buccellam, introivit in eum Satanas. Et dixit ei Jesus: Quod facis, fac citius.(vulgate) Jn 13:27 Und nach dem Bissen fuhr der Satan in ihn. Da sprach Jesus zu ihm: Was du tust, das tue bald!(dhs) Jn 13:27 Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you deny Me three times.(nasb) Jn 13:38 ἀποκρίνεται ἰησοῦς, τὴν ψυχήν σου ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ θήσεις; ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι, οὐ μὴ ἀλέκτωρ φωνήσῃ ἕως οὖ ἀρνήσῃ με τρίς.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 13:38 Respondit ei Jesus: Animam tuam pro me pones? amen, amen dico tibi: non cantabit gallus, donec ter me neges.(vulgate) Jn 13:38 Jesus antwortete ihm: Solltest du dein Leben für mich lassen?
