Manifestavit autem sic:(vulgate) Jn 21:1 Darnach offenbarte sich Jesus abermals den Jüngern an den Meer bei Tiberias. They said to him, "We will also come with you." They went out and got into the boat; and that night they caught nothing.(nasb) Jn 21:3 λέγει αὐτοῖς σίμων πέτρος, ὑπάγω ἁλιεύειν. λέγουσιν αὐτῶ, ἐρχόμεθα καὶ ἡμεῖς σὺν σοί. ἐξῆλθον καὶ ἐνέβησαν εἰς τὸ πλοῖον, καὶ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ νυκτὶ ἐπίασαν οὐδέν.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:3 Dicit eis Simon Petrus: Vado piscari. Dicunt ei: Venimus et nos tecum. Et exierunt, et ascenderunt in navim: et illa nocte nihil prendiderunt.(vulgate) Jn 21:3 Spricht Simon Petrus zu ihnen: Ich will hin fischen gehen. They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.(nkjv) ======= John 21:4 ============ Jn 21:4 But when the day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.(nasb) Jn 21:4 πρωΐας δὲ ἤδη γενομένης ἔστη ἰησοῦς εἰς τὸν αἰγιαλόν· οὐ μέντοι ᾔδεισαν οἱ μαθηταὶ ὅτι ἰησοῦς ἐστιν.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:4 Mane autem facto stetit Jesus in littore: non tamen cognoverunt discipuli quia Jesus est.(vulgate) Jn 21:4 Da aber jetzt Morgen war, stand Jesus am Ufer; aber die Jünger wußten nicht, daß es Jesus war.(dhs) Jn 21:4 But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.(nkjv) ======= John 21:5 ============ Jn 21:5 So Jesus said to them, "Children, you do not have any fish, do you?" Responderunt ei: Non.(vulgate) Jn 21:5 Spricht Jesus zu ihnen: Kinder, habt ihr nichts zu essen? Sie antworteten ihm: Nein.(dhs) Jn 21:5 Then Jesus said to them, "Children, have you any food?" They answered Him, "No."(nkjv) ======= John 21:6 ============ Jn 21:6 And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find a catch." So they cast, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish.(nasb) Jn 21:6 ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, βάλετε εἰς τὰ δεξιὰ μέρη τοῦ πλοίου τὸ δίκτυον, καὶ εὑρήσετε. ἔβαλον οὗν, καὶ οὐκέτι αὐτὸ ἑλκύσαι ἴσχυον ἀπὸ τοῦ πλήθους τῶν ἰχθύων.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:6 Dicit eis: Mittite in dexteram navigii rete, et invenietis. Miserunt ergo: et jam non valebant illud trahere præ multitudine piscium.(vulgate) Jn 21:6 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Werfet das Netz zur Rechten des Schiffs, so werdet ihr finden. Da warfen sie, und konnten's nicht mehr ziehen vor der Menge der Fische.(dhs) Jn 21:6 And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.(nkjv) ======= John 21:7 ============ Jn 21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord." So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his outer garment on (for he was stripped for work), and threw himself into the sea.(nasb) Jn 21:7 λέγει οὗν ὁ μαθητὴς ἐκεῖνος ὃν ἠγάπα ὁ ἰησοῦς τῶ πέτρῳ, ὁ κύριός ἐστιν. σίμων οὗν πέτρος, ἀκούσας ὅτι ὁ κύριός ἐστιν, τὸν ἐπενδύτην διεζώσατο, ἦν γὰρ γυμνός, καὶ ἔβαλεν ἑαυτὸν εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν·(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:7 Dixit ergo discipulus ille, quem diligebat Jesus, Petro: Dominus est. Simon Petrus cum audisset quia Dominus est, tunica succinxit se (erat enim nudus) et misit se in mare.(vulgate) Jn 21:7 Da spricht der Jünger, welchen Jesus liebhatte, zu Petrus: Es ist der HERR! Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea.(nkjv) ======= John 21:8 ============ Jn 21:8 But the other disciples came in the little boat, for they were not far from the land, but about one hundred yards away, dragging the net full of fish.(nasb) Jn 21:8 οἱ δὲ ἄλλοι μαθηταὶ τῶ πλοιαρίῳ ἦλθον, οὐ γὰρ ἦσαν μακρὰν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἀλλὰ ὡς ἀπὸ πηχῶν διακοσίων, σύροντες τὸ δίκτυον τῶν ἰχθύων.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:8 Alii autem discipuli navigio venerunt (non enim longe erant a terra, sed quasi cubitis ducentis), trahentes rete piscium.(vulgate) Jn 21:8 Die andern Jünger aber kamen auf dem Schiff (denn sie waren nicht ferne vom Lande, sondern bei zweihundert Ellen) und zogen das Netz mit den Fischen.(dhs) Jn 21:8 But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish.(nkjv) ======= John 21:9 ============ Jn 21:9 So when they got out on the land, they saw a charcoal fire already laid and fish placed on it, and bread.(nasb) Jn 21:9 ὡς οὗν ἀπέβησαν εἰς τὴν γῆν βλέπουσιν ἀνθρακιὰν κειμένην καὶ ὀψάριον ἐπικείμενον καὶ ἄρτον.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:9 Ut ergo descenderunt in terram, viderunt prunas positas, et piscem superpositum, et panem.(vulgate) Jn 21:9 Als sie nun austraten auf das Land, sahen sie Kohlen gelegt und Fische darauf und Brot.(dhs) Jn 21:9 Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread.(nkjv) ======= John 21:10 ============ Jn 21:10 Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have now caught."(nasb) Jn 21:10 λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς, ἐνέγκατε ἀπὸ τῶν ὀψαρίων ὧν ἐπιάσατε νῦν.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:10 Dicit eis Jesus: Afferte de piscibus, quos prendidistis nunc.(vulgate) Jn 21:10 Spricht Jesus zu ihnen: Bringt her von den Fischen, die ihr jetzt gefangen habt!(dhs) Jn 21:10 Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have just caught."(nkjv) ======= John 21:11 ============ Jn 21:11 Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not torn.(nasb) Jn 21:11 ἀνέβη οὗν σίμων πέτρος καὶ εἵλκυσεν τὸ δίκτυον εἰς τὴν γῆν μεστὸν ἰχθύων μεγάλων ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα τριῶν· καὶ τοσούτων ὄντων οὐκ ἐσχίσθη τὸ δίκτυον.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:11 Ascendit Simon Petrus et traxit rete in terram, plenum magnis piscibus centum quinquaginta tribus. None of the disciples ventured to question Him, "Who are You?" knowing that it was the Lord.(nasb) Jn 21:12 λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς, δεῦτε ἀριστήσατε. οὐδεὶς δὲ ἐτόλμα τῶν μαθητῶν ἐξετάσαι αὐτόν, σὺ τίς εἶ; εἰδότες ὅτι ὁ κύριός ἐστιν.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:12 Dicit eis Jesus: Venite, prandete. Et nemo audebat discumbentium interrogare eum: Tu quis es? scientes, quia Dominus est.(vulgate) Jn 21:12 Spricht Jesus zu ihnen: Kommt und haltet das Mahl! Niemand aber unter den Jüngern wagte, ihn zu fragen: Wer bist du? denn sie wußten, daß es der HERR war.(dhs) Jn 21:12 Jesus said to them, "Come and eat breakfast." Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, "Who are You?"--knowing that it was the Lord.(nkjv) ======= John 21:13 ============ Jn 21:13 Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and the fish likewise.(nasb) Jn 21:13 ἔρχεται ἰησοῦς καὶ λαμβάνει τὸν ἄρτον καὶ δίδωσιν αὐτοῖς, καὶ τὸ ὀψάριον ὁμοίως.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:13 Et venit Jesus, et accipit panem, et dat eis, et piscem similiter.(vulgate) Jn 21:13 Da kommt Jesus und nimmt das Brot und gibt es ihnen, desgleichen auch die Fische.(dhs) Jn 21:13 Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish.(nkjv) ======= John 21:14 ============ Jn 21:14 This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead.(nasb) Jn 21:14 τοῦτο ἤδη τρίτον ἐφανερώθη ἰησοῦς τοῖς μαθηταῖς ἐγερθεὶς ἐκ νεκρῶν.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:14 Hoc jam tertio manifestatus est Jesus discipulis suis cum resurrexisset a mortuis.~(vulgate) Jn 21:14 Das ist nun das drittemal, daß Jesus offenbart war seinen Jüngern, nachdem er von den Toten auferstanden war.(dhs) Jn 21:14 This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.(nkjv) ======= John 21:15 ============ Jn 21:15 So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." Dicit ei: Etiam Domine, tu scis quia amo te. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me!"(nasb) Jn 21:19 τοῦτο δὲ εἶπεν σημαίνων ποίῳ θανάτῳ δοξάσει τὸν θεόν. καὶ τοῦτο εἰπὼν λέγει αὐτῶ, ἀκολούθει μοι.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:19 Hoc autem dixit significans qua morte clarificaturus esset Deum. Et cum hoc dixisset, dicit ei: Sequere me.~(vulgate) Jn 21:19 Das sagte er aber, zu deuten, mit welchem Tode er Gott preisen würde. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me."(nkjv) ======= John 21:20 ============ Jn 21:20 Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; the one who also had leaned back on His bosom at the supper and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"(nasb) Jn 21:20 ἐπιστραφεὶς ὁ πέτρος βλέπει τὸν μαθητὴν ὃν ἠγάπα ὁ ἰησοῦς ἀκολουθοῦντα, ὃς καὶ ἀνέπεσεν ἐν τῶ δείπνῳ ἐπὶ τὸ στῆθος αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν, κύριε, τίς ἐστιν ὁ παραδιδούς σε;(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:20 Conversus Petrus vidit illum discipulum, quem diligebat Jesus, sequentem, qui et recubuit in cœna super pectus ejus, et dixit: Domine, quis est qui tradet te?(vulgate) Jn 21:20 Petrus aber wandte sich um und sah den Jünger folgen, welchen Jesus liebhatte, der auch an seiner Brust beim Abendessen gelegen war und gesagt hatte: HERR, wer ist's, der dich verrät?(dhs) Jn 21:20 Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"(nkjv) ======= John 21:21 ============ Jn 21:21 So Peter seeing him said to Jesus, "Lord, and what about this man?"(nasb) Jn 21:21 τοῦτον οὗν ἰδὼν ὁ πέτρος λέγει τῶ ἰησοῦ, κύριε, οὖτος δὲ τί;(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:21 Hunc ergo cum vidisset Petrus, dixit Jesu: Domine, hic autem quid?(vulgate) Jn 21:21 Da Petrus diesen sah, spricht er zu Jesus: HERR, was soll aber dieser?(dhs) Jn 21:21 Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, "But Lord, what about this man?"(nkjv) ======= John 21:22 ============ Jn 21:22 Jesus said to him, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!"(nasb) Jn 21:22 λέγει αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς, ἐὰν αὐτὸν θέλω μένειν ἕως ἔρχομαι, τί πρὸς σέ; σύ μοι ἀκολούθει.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:22 Dicit ei Jesus: Sic eum volo manere donec veniam, quid ad te? tu me sequere.(vulgate) Jn 21:22 Jesus spricht zu ihm: So ich will, daß er bleibe, bis ich komme, was geht es dich an? You follow Me."(nkjv) ======= John 21:23 ============ Jn 21:23 Therefore this saying went out among the brethren that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but only, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?"(nasb) Jn 21:23 ἐξῆλθεν οὗν οὖτος ὁ λόγος εἰς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὅτι ὁ μαθητὴς ἐκεῖνος οὐκ ἀποθνῄσκει. οὐκ εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς ὅτι οὐκ ἀποθνῄσκει, ἀλλ᾽, ἐὰν αὐτὸν θέλω μένειν ἕως ἔρχομαι [, τί πρὸς σέ];(Nestle-Aland) Jn 21:23 Exiit ergo sermo iste inter fratres quia discipulus ille non moritur. Et non dixit ei Jesus: Non moritur, sed: Sic eum volo manere donec veniam, quid ad te?(vulgate) Jn 21:23 Da ging eine Rede aus unter den Brüdern: Dieser Jünger stirbt nicht. Und Jesus sprach nicht zu ihm: "Er stirbt nicht", sondern: "So ich will, daß er bleibe, bis ich komme, was geht es dich an?"(dhs) Jn 21:23 Then this saying went out among the brethren that this disciple would not die.
