Pilate said to them, "Take Him yourselves and crucify Him, for I find no guilt in Him."(nasb) Jn 19:6 ὅτε οὗν εἶδον αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ ὑπηρέται ἐκραύγασαν λέγοντες, σταύρωσον σταύρωσον. λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ πιλᾶτος, λάβετε αὐτὸν ὑμεῖς καὶ σταυρώσατε, ἐγὼ γὰρ οὐχ εὑρίσκω ἐν αὐτῶ αἰτίαν.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 19:6 Cum ergo vidissent eum pontifices et ministri, clamabant, dicentes: Crucifige, crucifige eum. Dicit eis Pilatus: Accipite eum vos, et crucifigite: ego enim non invenio in eo causam.~(vulgate) Jn 19:6 Da ihn die Hohenpriester und die Diener sahen, schrieen sie und sprachen: Kreuzige! Kreuzige! But Jesus gave him no answer.(nasb) Jn 19:9 καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸ πραιτώριον πάλιν καὶ λέγει τῶ ἰησοῦ, πόθεν εἶ σύ; ὁ δὲ ἰησοῦς ἀπόκρισιν οὐκ ἔδωκεν αὐτῶ.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 19:9 Et ingressus est prætorium iterum: et dixit ad Jesum: Unde es tu? Jesus autem responsum non dedit ei.(vulgate) Jn 19:9 und ging wieder hinein in das Richthaus und spricht zu Jesus: Woher bist du? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?"(nasb) Jn 19:10 λέγει οὗν αὐτῶ ὁ πιλᾶτος, ἐμοὶ οὐ λαλεῖς; οὐκ οἶδας ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχω ἀπολῦσαί σε καὶ ἐξουσίαν ἔχω σταυρῶσαί σε;(Nestle-Aland) Jn 19:10 Dicit ergo ei Pilatus: Mihi non loqueris? nescis quia potestatem habeo crucifigere te, et potestatem habeo dimittere te?(vulgate) Jn 19:10 Da sprach Pilatus zu ihm: Redest du nicht mit mir? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?"(nkjv) ======= John 19:11 ============ Jn 19:11 Jesus answered, "You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin."(nasb) Jn 19:11 ἀπεκρίθη [αὐτῶ] ἰησοῦς, οὐκ εἶχες ἐξουσίαν κατ᾽ ἐμοῦ οὐδεμίαν εἰ μὴ ἦν δεδομένον σοι ἄνωθεν· διὰ τοῦτο ὁ παραδούς μέ σοι μείζονα ἁμαρτίαν ἔχει.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 19:11 Respondit Jesus: Non haberes potestatem adversum me ullam, nisi tibi datum esset desuper. Propterea qui me tradidit tibi, majus peccatum habet.(vulgate) Jn 19:11 Jesus antwortete: Du hättest keine Macht über mich, wenn sie dir nicht wäre von obenherab gegeben; darum, der mich dir überantwortet hat, der hat größere Sünde.(dhs) Jn 19:11 Jesus answered, "You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin."(nkjv) ======= John 19:12 ============ Jn 19:12 As a result of this Pilate made efforts to release Him, but the Jews cried out saying, "If you release this Man, you are no friend of Caesar; everyone who makes himself out to be a king opposes Caesar."(nasb) Jn 19:12 ἐκ τούτου ὁ πιλᾶτος ἐζήτει ἀπολῦσαι αὐτόν· οἱ δὲ ἰουδαῖοι ἐκραύγασαν λέγοντες, ἐὰν τοῦτον ἀπολύσῃς, οὐκ εἶ φίλος τοῦ καίσαρος· πᾶς ὁ βασιλέα ἑαυτὸν ποιῶν ἀντιλέγει τῶ καίσαρι.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 19:12 Et exinde quærebat Pilatus dimittere eum. Judæi autem clamabant dicentes: Si hunc dimittis, non es amicus Cæsaris. Omnis enim qui se regem facit, contradicit Cæsari.~(vulgate) Jn 19:12 Von da an trachtete Pilatus, wie er ihn losließe. Die Juden aber schrieen und sprachen: Läßt du diesen los, so bist du des Kaisers Freund nicht; denn wer sich zum König macht, der ist wider den Kaiser.(dhs) Jn 19:12 From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, "If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar's friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar."(nkjv) ======= John 19:13 ============ Jn 19:13 Therefore when Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out, and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.(nasb) Jn 19:13 ὁ οὗν πιλᾶτος ἀκούσας τῶν λόγων τούτων ἤγαγεν ἔξω τὸν ἰησοῦν, καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπὶ βήματος εἰς τόπον λεγόμενον λιθόστρωτον, ἑβραϊστὶ δὲ γαββαθα.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 19:13 Pilatus autem cum audisset hos sermones, adduxit foras Jesum: et sedit pro tribunali, in loco qui dicitur Lithostrotos, hebraice autem Gabbatha.(vulgate) Jn 19:13 Da Pilatus das Wort hörte, führte er Jesum heraus und setzte sich auf den Richtstuhl an der Stätte, die da heißt Hochpflaster, auf hebräisch aber Gabbatha.(dhs) Jn 19:13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus out and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.(nkjv) ======= John 19:14 ============ Jn 19:14 Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. ' "(nkjv) ======= John 19:22 ============ Jn 19:22 Pilate answered, "What I have written I have written."(nasb) Jn 19:22 ἀπεκρίθη ὁ πιλᾶτος, ὃ γέγραφα, γέγραφα.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 19:22 Respondit Pilatus: Quod scripsi, scripsi.(vulgate) Jn 19:22 Pilatus antwortete: Was ich geschrieben habe, das habe ich geschrieben.(dhs) Jn 19:22 Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."(nkjv) ======= John 19:23 ============ Jn 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His outer garments and made four parts, a part to every soldier and also the tunic; now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece.(nasb) Jn 19:23 οἱ οὗν στρατιῶται ὅτε ἐσταύρωσαν τὸν ἰησοῦν ἔλαβον τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐποίησαν τέσσαρα μέρη, ἑκάστῳ στρατιώτῃ μέρος, καὶ τὸν χιτῶνα. ἦν δὲ ὁ χιτὼν ἄραφος, ἐκ τῶν ἄνωθεν ὑφαντὸς δι᾽ ὅλου.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 19:23 Milites ergo cum crucifixissent eum, acceperunt vestimenta ejus (et fecerunt quatuor partes, unicuique militi partem) et tunicam. Erat autem tunica inconsutilis, desuper contexta per totum.(vulgate) Jn 19:23 Die Kriegsknechte aber, da sie Jesus gekreuzigt hatten, nahmen sie seine Kleider und machten vier Teile, einem jeglichen Kriegsknecht ein Teil, dazu auch den Rock. Der Rock aber war ungenäht, von obenan gewirkt durch und durch.(dhs) Jn 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece.(nkjv) ======= John 19:24 ============ Jn 19:24 So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it shall be"; this was to fulfill the Scripture: "THEY DIVIDED MY OUTER GARMENTS AMONG THEM, AND FOR MY CLOTHING THEY CAST LOTS."(nasb) Jn 19:24 εἶπαν οὗν πρὸς ἀλλήλους, μὴ σχίσωμεν αὐτόν, ἀλλὰ λάχωμεν περὶ αὐτοῦ τίνος ἔσται· ἵνα ἡ γραφὴ πληρωθῇ [ἡ λέγουσα], διεμερίσαντο τὰ ἱμάτιά μου ἑαυτοῖς καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν ἱματισμόν μου ἔβαλον κλῆρον. οἱ μὲν οὗν στρατιῶται ταῦτα ἐποίησαν.(Nestle-Aland) Jn 19:24 Dixerunt ergo ad invicem: Non scindamus eam, sed sortiamur de illa cujus sit. Ut Scriptura impleretur, dicens: Partiti sunt vestimenta mea sibi: et in vestem meam miserunt sortem. Et milites quidem hæc fecerunt.~(vulgate) Jn 19:24 Da sprachen sie untereinander: Laßt uns den nicht zerteilen, sondern darum losen, wes er sein soll. (Auf daß erfüllet würde die Schrift, die da sagt: "Sie haben meine Kleider unter sich geteilt und haben über meinen Rock das Los geworfen.") Solches taten die Kriegsknechte.(dhs) Jn 19:24 They said therefore among themselves, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be," that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: "They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots."
