ἐρωτῶμεν δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, ὑπὲρ τῆς παρουσίας τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ καὶ ἡμῶν ἐπισυναγωγῆς ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν,(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:1 Rogamus autem vos, fratres, per adventum Domini nostri Jesu Christi, et nostræ congregationis in ipsum:(vulgate) 2Th 2:1 Aber der Zukunft halben unsers HERRN Jesu Christi und unsrer Versammlung zu ihm bitten wir euch, liebe Brüder,(dhs) 2Th 2:1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,(nkjv) ======= 2 Thessalonians 2:2 ============ 2Th 2:2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.(nasb) 2Th 2:2 εἰς τὸ μὴ ταχέως σαλευθῆναι ὑμᾶς ἀπὸ τοῦ νοὸς μηδὲ θροεῖσθαι μήτε διὰ πνεύματος μήτε διὰ λόγου μήτε δι᾽ ἐπιστολῆς ὡς δι᾽ ἡμῶν, ὡς ὅτι ἐνέστηκεν ἡ ἡμέρα τοῦ κυρίου.(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:2 ut non cito moveamini a vestro sensu, neque terreamini, neque per spiritum, neque per sermonem, neque per epistolam tamquam per nos missam, quasi instet dies Domini.(vulgate) 2Th 2:2 daß ihr euch nicht bald bewegen lasset von eurem Sinn noch erschrecken, weder durch Geist lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,(nasb) 2Th 2:3 μή τις ὑμᾶς ἐξαπατήσῃ κατὰ μηδένα τρόπον· ὅτι ἐὰν μὴ ἔλθῃ ἡ ἀποστασία πρῶτον καὶ ἀποκαλυφθῇ ὁ ἄνθρωπος τῆς ἀνομίας, ὁ υἱὸς τῆς ἀπωλείας,(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:3 Ne quis vos seducat ullo modo: quoniam nisi venerit discessio primum, et revelatus fuerit homo peccati filius perditionis,(vulgate) 2Th 2:3 Lasset euch niemand verführen in keinerlei Weise; denn er kommt nicht, es sei denn, daß zuvor der Abfall komme und offenbart werde der Mensch der Sünde, das Kind des Verderbens,(dhs) 2Th 2:3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,(nkjv) ======= 2 Thessalonians 2:4 ============ 2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.(nasb) 2Th 2:4 ὁ ἀντικείμενος καὶ ὑπεραιρόμενος ἐπὶ πάντα λεγόμενον θεὸν ἢ σέβασμα, ὥστε αὐτὸν εἰς τὸν ναὸν τοῦ θεοῦ καθίσαι, ἀποδεικνύντα ἑαυτὸν ὅτι ἔστιν θεός.(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:4 qui adversatur, et extollitur supra omne, quod dicitur Deus, aut quod colitur, ita ut in templo Dei sedeat ostendens se tamquam sit Deus.(vulgate) 2Th 2:4 der da ist der Widersacher und sich überhebt über alles, was Gott oder Gottesdienst heißt, also daß er sich setzt in den Tempel Gottes als ein Gott und gibt sich aus, er sei Gott.(dhs) 2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.(nkjv) ======= 2 Thessalonians 2:5 ============ 2Th 2:5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?(nasb) 2Th 2:5 οὐ μνημονεύετε ὅτι ἔτι ὢν πρὸς ὑμᾶς ταῦτα ἔλεγον ὑμῖν;(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:5 Non retinetis quod cum adhuc essem apud vos, hæc dicebam vobis?(vulgate) 2Th 2:5 Gedenket ihr nicht daran, daß ich euch solches sagte, da ich noch bei euch war?(dhs) 2Th 2:5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?(nkjv) ======= 2 Thessalonians 2:6 ============ 2Th 2:6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.(nasb) 2Th 2:6 καὶ νῦν τὸ κατέχον οἴδατε, εἰς τὸ ἀποκαλυφθῆναι αὐτὸν ἐν τῶ ἑαυτοῦ καιρῶ.(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:6 et nunc quid detineat scitis, ut reveletur in suo tempore.(vulgate) 2Th 2:6 Und was es noch aufhält, wisset ihr, daß er offenbart werde zu seiner Zeit.(dhs) 2Th 2:6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.(nkjv) ======= 2 Thessalonians 2:7 ============ 2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.(nasb) 2Th 2:7 τὸ γὰρ μυστήριον ἤδη ἐνεργεῖται τῆς ἀνομίας· μόνον ὁ κατέχων ἄρτι ἕως ἐκ μέσου γένηται.(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:7 Nam mysterium jam operatur iniquitatis: tantum ut qui tenet nunc, καταργήσει τῇ ἐπιφανείᾳ τῆς παρουσίας αὐτοῦ,(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:8 Et tunc revelabitur ille iniquus, quem Dominus Jesus interficiet spiritu oris sui, et destruet illustratione adventus sui eum:(vulgate) 2Th 2:8 und alsdann wird der Boshafte offenbart werden, welchen der HERR umbringen wird mit dem Geist seines Mundes und durch die Erscheinung seiner Zukunft ihm ein Ende machen,(dhs) 2Th 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.(nkjv) ======= 2 Thessalonians 2:9 ============ 2Th 2:9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,(nasb) 2Th 2:9 οὖ ἐστιν ἡ παρουσία κατ᾽ ἐνέργειαν τοῦ σατανᾶ ἐν πάσῃ δυνάμει καὶ σημείοις καὶ τέρασιν ψεύδους(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:9 cujus est adventus secundum operationem Satanæ in omni virtute, et signis, et prodigiis mendacibus,(vulgate) 2Th 2:9 ihm, dessen Zukunft geschieht nach der Wirkung des Satans mit allerlei lügenhaftigen Kräften und Zeichen und Wundern(dhs) 2Th 2:9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,(nkjv) ======= 2 Thessalonians 2:10 ============ 2Th 2:10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.(nasb) 2Th 2:10 καὶ ἐν πάσῃ ἀπάτῃ ἀδικίας τοῖς ἀπολλυμένοις, ἀνθ᾽ ὧν τὴν ἀγάπην τῆς ἀληθείας οὐκ ἐδέξαντο εἰς τὸ σωθῆναι αὐτούς.(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:10 et in omni seductione iniquitatis iis qui pereunt: eo quod caritatem veritatis non receperunt ut salvi fierent.(vulgate) 2Th 2:10 und mit allerlei Verführung zur Ungerechtigkeit unter denen, die verloren werden, dafür daß sie die Liebe zur Wahrheit nicht haben angenommen, auf daß sie selig würden.(dhs) 2Th 2:10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might πέμπει αὐτοῖς ὁ θεὸς ἐνέργειαν πλάνης εἰς τὸ πιστεῦσαι αὐτοὺς τῶ ψεύδει,(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:11 Ideo mittet illis Deus operationem erroris ut credant mendacio,(vulgate) 2Th 2:11 Darum wird ihnen Gott kräftige Irrtümer senden, daß sie glauben der Lüge,(dhs) 2Th 2:11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,(nkjv) ======= 2 Thessalonians 2:12 ============ 2Th 2:12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.(nasb) 2Th 2:12 ἵνα κριθῶσιν πάντες οἱ μὴ πιστεύσαντες τῇ ἀληθείᾳ ἀλλὰ εὐδοκήσαντες τῇ ἀδικίᾳ.(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:12 ut judicentur omnes qui non crediderunt veritati, sed consenserunt iniquitati.~(vulgate) 2Th 2:12 auf daß gerichtet werden alle, die der Wahrheit nicht ============ 2Th 2:13 But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.(nasb) 2Th 2:13 ἡμεῖς δὲ ὀφείλομεν εὐχαριστεῖν τῶ θεῶ πάντοτε περὶ ὑμῶν, ἀδελφοὶ ἠγαπημένοι ὑπὸ κυρίου, ὅτι εἵλατο ὑμᾶς ὁ θεὸς ἀπαρχὴν εἰς σωτηρίαν ἐν ἁγιασμῶ πνεύματος καὶ πίστει ἀληθείας,(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:13 Nos autem debemus gratias agere Deo semper pro vobis, fratres dilecti a Deo, quod elegerit vos Deus primitias in salutem in sanctificatione spiritus, et in fide veritatis:(vulgate) 2Th 2:13 Wir aber sollen Gott danken allezeit um euch, von dem HERRN geliebte Brüder, daß euch Gott erwählt hat von Anfang zur Seligkeit, in der Heiligung des Geistes und im Glauben der Wahrheit,(dhs) 2Th 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,(nkjv) ======= 2 Thessalonians 2:14 ============ 2Th 2:14 It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.(nasb) 2Th 2:14 εἰς ὃ [καὶ] ἐκάλεσεν ὑμᾶς διὰ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου ἡμῶν, εἰς περιποίησιν δόξης τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ.(Nestle-Aland) 2Th 2:14 in qua et vocavit vos per Evangelium nostrum in 2Th 2:15 Itaque fratres, state: et tenete traditiones, quas didicistis, sive per sermonem, sive per epistolam nostram.(vulgate) 2Th 2:15 So stehet nun, liebe Brüder, und haltet an den Satzungen, in
