Today's Date: 1Jn 1:1 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life--(nasb) 1Jn 1:1 ὃ ἦν ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς, ὃ ἀκηκόαμεν, ὃ ἑωράκαμεν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς ἡμῶν, ὃ ἐθεασάμεθα καὶ αἱ χεῖρες ἡμῶν ἐψηλάφησαν, περὶ τοῦ λόγου τῆς ζωῆς _(Nestle-Aland) 1Jn 1:1 Quod fuit ab initio, quod audivimus, quod vidimus oculis nostris, quod perspeximus, et manus nostræ contrectaverunt de verbo vitæ:(vulgate) 1Jn 1:1 Das da von Anfang war, das wir gehört haben, das wir gesehen haben mit unsern Augen, das wir beschaut haben und unsre Hände betastet haben, vom Wort des Lebens(dhs) 1Jn 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life--(nkjv) 1Jn 1:2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us--(nasb) 1Jn 1:2 καὶ ἡ ζωὴ ἐφανερώθη, καὶ ἑωράκαμεν καὶ μαρτυροῦμεν καὶ ἀπαγγέλλομεν ὑμῖν τὴν ζωὴν τὴν αἰώνιον ἥτις ἦν πρὸς τὸν πατέρα καὶ ἐφανερώθη ἡμῖν _(Nestle-Aland) 1Jn 1:2 et vita manifestata est, et vidimus, et testamur, et annuntiamus vobis vitam æternam, quæ erat apud Patrem, et apparuit nobis:(vulgate) 1Jn 1:2 und das Leben ist erschienen, und wir haben gesehen und bezeugen und verkündigen euch das Leben, das ewig ist, welches war bei dem Vater und ist uns erschienen:(dhs) 1Jn 1:2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us--(nkjv) 1Jn 1:3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.(nasb) 1Jn 1:3 ὃ ἑωράκαμεν καὶ ἀκηκόαμεν ἀπαγγέλλομεν καὶ ὑμῖν, ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς κοινωνίαν ἔχητε μεθ᾽ ἡμῶν. καὶ ἡ κοινωνία δὲ ἡ ἡμετέρα μετὰ τοῦ πατρὸς καὶ μετὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ.(Nestle-Aland) 1Jn 1:3 quod vidimus et audivimus, annuntiamus vobis, ut et vos societatem habeatis nobiscum, et societas nostra sit cum Patre, et cum Filio ejus Jesu Christo.(vulgate) 1Jn 1:3 was wir gesehen und gehört haben, das verkündigen wir euch, auf daß ihr mit uns Gemeinschaft habt; und unsre Gemeinschaft ist mit dem Vater und mit seinem Sohn Jesus Christus.(dhs) 1Jn 1:3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.(nkjv) 1Jn 1:4 These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.(nasb) 1Jn 1:4 καὶ ταῦτα γράφομεν ἡμεῖς ἵνα ἡ χαρὰ ἡμῶν ᾖ πεπληρωμένη.(Nestle-Aland) 1Jn 1:4 Et hæc scribimus vobis ut gaudeatis, et gaudium vestrum sit plenum.~(vulgate) 1Jn 1:4 Und solches schreiben wir euch, auf daß eure Freude völlig sei.(dhs) 1Jn 1:4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.(nkjv) 1Jn 1:5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.(nasb) 1Jn 1:5 καὶ ἔστιν αὕτη ἡ ἀγγελία ἣν ἀκηκόαμεν ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀναγγέλλομεν ὑμῖν, ὅτι ὁ θεὸς φῶς ἐστιν καὶ σκοτία ἐν αὐτῶ οὐκ ἔστιν οὐδεμία.(Nestle-Aland) 1Jn 1:5 Et hæc est annuntiatio, quam audivimus ab eo, et annuntiamus vobis: quoniam Deus lux est, et tenebræ in eo non sunt ullæ.(vulgate) 1Jn 1:5 Und das ist die Verkündigung, die wir von ihm gehört haben und euch verkündigen, daß Gott Licht ist und in ihm ist keine Finsternis.(dhs) 1Jn 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.(nkjv) 1Jn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;(nasb) 1Jn 1:6 ἐὰν εἴπωμεν ὅτι κοινωνίαν ἔχομεν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν τῶ σκότει περιπατῶμεν, ψευδόμεθα καὶ οὐ ποιοῦμεν τὴν ἀλήθειαν·(Nestle-Aland) 1Jn 1:6 Si dixerimus quoniam societatem habemus cum eo, et in tenebris ambulamus, mentimur, et veritatem non facimus.(vulgate) 1Jn 1:6 So wir sagen, daß wir Gemeinschaft mit ihm haben, und wandeln in der Finsternis, so lügen wir und tun nicht die Wahrheit.(dhs) 1Jn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.(nkjv) 1Jn 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.(nasb) 1Jn 1:7 ἐὰν δὲ ἐν τῶ φωτὶ περιπατῶμεν ὡς αὐτός ἐστιν ἐν τῶ φωτί, κοινωνίαν ἔχομεν μετ᾽ ἀλλήλων καὶ τὸ αἷμα ἰησοῦ τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ καθαρίζει ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ πάσης ἁμαρτίας.(Nestle-Aland) 1Jn 1:7 Si autem in luce ambulamus sicut et ipse est in luce, societatem habemus ad invicem, et sanguis Jesu Christi, Filii ejus, emundat nos ab omni peccato.(vulgate) 1Jn 1:7 So wir aber im Licht wandeln, wie er im Licht ist, so haben wir Gemeinschaft untereinander, und das Blut Jesu Christi, seines Sohnes, macht uns rein von aller Sünde.(dhs) 1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.(nkjv) 1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.(nasb) 1Jn 1:8 ἐὰν εἴπωμεν ὅτι ἁμαρτίαν οὐκ ἔχομεν, ἑαυτοὺς πλανῶμεν καὶ ἡ ἀλήθεια οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν ἡμῖν.(Nestle-Aland) 1Jn 1:8 Si dixerimus quoniam peccatum non habemus, ipsi nos seducimus, et veritas in nobis non est.(vulgate) 1Jn 1:8 So wir sagen, wir haben keine Sünde, so verführen wir uns selbst, und die Wahrheit ist nicht in uns.(dhs) 1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.(nkjv) 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.(nasb) 1Jn 1:9 ἐὰν ὁμολογῶμεν τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶν, πιστός ἐστιν καὶ δίκαιος ἵνα ἀφῇ ἡμῖν τὰς ἁμαρτίας καὶ καθαρίσῃ ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ πάσης ἀδικίας.(Nestle-Aland) 1Jn 1:9 Si confiteamur peccata nostra: fidelis est, et justus, ut remittat nobis peccata nostra, et emundet nos ab omni iniquitate.(vulgate) 1Jn 1:9 So wir aber unsre Sünden bekennen, so ist er treu und gerecht, daß er uns die Sünden vergibt und reinigt uns von aller Untugend.(dhs) 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.(nkjv) 1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.(nasb) 1Jn 1:10 ἐὰν εἴπωμεν ὅτι οὐχ ἡμαρτήκαμεν, ψεύστην ποιοῦμεν αὐτὸν καὶ ὁ λόγος αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν ἡμῖν.(Nestle-Aland) 1Jn 1:10 Si dixerimus quoniam non peccavimus, mendacem facimus eum, et verbum ejus non est in nobis.(vulgate) 1Jn 1:10 So wir sagen, wir haben nicht gesündigt, so machen wir ihn zum Lügner, und sein Wort ist nicht in uns.(dhs) 1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.(nkjv) top of the page
