Today's Date: ======= Genesis 31:1 ============ Gen 31:1 Now Jacob heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, "Jacob has taken away all that was our father's, and from what belonged to our father he has made all this wealth."(nasb) Gen 31:1 Postquam autem audivit verba filiorum Laban dicentium: Tulit Jacob omnia quæ fuerunt patris nostri, et de illius facultate ditatus, factus est inclytus:(vulgate) Génesis 31:1 Y oía él las palabras de los hijos de Labán que decían: Jacob ha tomado todo lo que era de nuestro padre, y de lo que era de nuestro padre ha adquirido toda esta grandeza.(E) Genèse 31:1 Jacob entendit les propos des fils de Laban, qui disaient: Jacob a pris tout ce qui était à notre père, et c'est avec le bien de notre père qu'il s'est acquis toute cette richesse.(F) Gen 31:1 Und es kamen vor ihn die Reden der Kinder Labans, daß sie sprachen: Jakob hat alles Gut unsers Vaters an sich gebracht, und von unsers Vaters Gut hat er solchen Reichtum zuwege gebracht.(D) Gen 31:1 ἤκουσεν δὲ Ιακωβ τὰ ῥήματα τῶν υἱῶν Λαβαν λεγόντων εἴληφεν Ιακωβ πάντα τὰ τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν καὶ ἐκ τῶν τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν πεποίηκεν πᾶσαν τὴν δόξαν ταύτην(lxx) Gen 31:1 Now Jacob heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, "Jacob has taken away all that was our father's, and from what was our father's he has acquired all this wealth."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:2 ============ Gen 31:2 Jacob saw the attitude of Laban, and behold, it was not friendly toward him as formerly.(nasb) Gen 31:2 animadvertit quoque faciem Laban, quod non esset erga se sicut heri et nudiustertius,(vulgate) Génesis 31:2 Miraba también Jacob el semblante de Labán, y veía que no era para con él como había sido antes.(E) Genèse 31:2 Jacob remarqua aussi le visage de Laban; et voici, il n'était plus envers lui comme auparavant.(F) Gen 31:2 Und Jakob sah an das Angesicht Labans; und siehe, es war nicht gegen ihn wie gestern und ehegestern.(D) Gen 31:2 καὶ εἶδεν Ιακωβ τὸ πρόσωπον τοῦ Λαβαν καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἦν πρὸς αὐτὸν ὡς ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτην ἡμέραν(lxx) Gen 31:2 And Jacob saw the countenance of Laban, and indeed it was not favorable toward him as before.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:3 ============ Gen 31:3 Then the Lord said to Jacob, "Return to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you."(nasb) Gen 31:3 maxime dicente sibi Domino: Revertere in terram patrum tuorum, et ad generationem tuam, eroque tecum.(vulgate) Génesis 31:3 También Jehová dijo a Jacob: Vuélvete a la tierra de tus padres, y a tu parentela, y yo estaré contigo.(E) Genèse 31:3 Alors l'Eternel dit à Jacob: Retourne au pays de tes pères et dans ton lieu de naissance, et je serai avec toi.(F) Gen 31:3 Und der HERR sprach zu Jakob: Ziehe wieder in deiner Väter Land und zu deiner Freundschaft; ich will mit dir sein.(D) Gen 31:3 εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Ιακωβ ἀποστρέφου εἰς τὴν γῆν τοῦ πατρός σου καὶ εἰς τὴν γενεάν σου καὶ ἔσομαι μετὰ σοῦ(lxx) Gen 31:3 Then the Lord said to Jacob, "Return to the land of your fathers and to your family, and I will be with you."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:4 ============ Gen 31:4 So Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to his flock in the field,(nasb) Gen 31:4 Misit, et vocavit Rachel et Liam in agrum, ubi pascebat greges,(vulgate) Génesis 31:4 Y envió Jacob, y llamó a Raquel y a Lea al campo, donde estaba su rebaño,(E) Genèse 31:4 Jacob fit appeler Rachel et Léa, qui étaient aux champs vers son troupeau.(F) Gen 31:4 Da sandte Jakob hin und ließ rufen Rahel und Lea aufs Feld zu seiner Herde(D) Gen 31:4 ἀποστείλας δὲ Ιακωβ ἐκάλεσεν Ραχηλ καὶ Λειαν εἰς τὸ πεδίον οὗ τὰ ποίμνια(lxx) Gen 31:4 So Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field, to his flock,(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:5 ============ Gen 31:5 and said to them, "I see your father's attitude, that it is not friendly toward me as formerly, but the God of my father has been with me.(nasb) Gen 31:5 dixitque eis: Video faciem patris vestri quod non sit erga me sicut heri et nudiustertius: Deus autem patris mei fuit mecum.(vulgate) Génesis 31:5 y les dijo: Veo que el semblante de vuestro padre no es para conmigo como antes; pero el Dios de mi padre ha estado conmigo.(E) Genèse 31:5 Il leur dit: Je vois, au visage de votre père, qu'il n'est plus envers moi comme auparavant; mais le Dieu de mon père a été avec moi.(F) Gen 31:5 und sprach zu ihnen: Ich sehe eures Vaters Angesicht, daß es nicht gegen mich ist wie gestern und ehegestern; aber der Gott meines Vaters ist mit mir gewesen.(D) Gen 31:5 καὶ εἶπεν αὐταῖς ὁρῶ ἐγὼ τὸ πρόσωπον τοῦ πατρὸς ὑμῶν ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν πρὸς ἐμοῦ ὡς ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτην ἡμέραν ὁ δὲ θεὸς τοῦ πατρός μου ἦν μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ(lxx) Gen 31:5 and said to them, "I see your father's countenance, that it is not favorable toward me as before; but the God of my father has been with me.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:6 ============ Gen 31:6 You know that I have served your father with all my strength.(nasb) Gen 31:6 Et ipsæ nostis quod totis viribus meis servierim patri vestro.(vulgate) Génesis 31:6 Y vosotras sabéis que con todas mis fuerzas he servido a vuestro padre:(E) Genèse 31:6 Vous savez vous-mêmes que j'ai servi votre père de tout mon pouvoir.(F) Gen 31:6 Und ihr wißt, daß ich aus allen meinen Kräften eurem Vater gedient habe.(D) Gen 31:6 καὶ αὐταὶ δὲ οἴδατε ὅτι ἐν πάσῃ τῇ ἰσχύι μου δεδούλευκα τῷ πατρὶ ὑμῶν(lxx) Gen 31:6 And you know that with all my might I have served your father.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:7 ============ Gen 31:7 Yet your father has cheated me and changed my wages ten times; however, God did not allow him to hurt me.(nasb) Gen 31:7 Sed et pater vester circumvenit me et mutavit mercedem meam decem vicibus: et tamen non dimisit eum Deus ut noceret mihi.(vulgate) Génesis 31:7 Y vuestro padre me ha engañado, y me ha cambiado el salario diez veces; pero Dios no le ha permitido hacerme daño.(E) Genèse 31:7 Et votre père s'est joué de moi, et a changé dix fois mon salaire; mais Dieu ne lui a pas permis de me faire du mal.(F) Gen 31:7 Und er hat mich getäuscht und nun zehnmal meinen Lohn verändert; aber Gott hat ihm nicht gestattet, daß er mir Schaden täte.(D) Gen 31:7 ὁ δὲ πατὴρ ὑμῶν παρεκρούσατό με καὶ ἤλλαξεν τὸν μισθόν μου τῶν δέκα ἀμνῶν καὶ οὐκ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ ὁ θεὸς κακοποιῆσαί με(lxx) Gen 31:7 Yet your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but God did not allow him to hurt me.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:8 ============ Gen 31:8 If he spoke thus, 'The speckled shall be your wages,' then all the flock brought forth speckled; and if he spoke thus, 'The striped shall be your wages,' then all the flock brought forth striped.(nasb) Gen 31:8 Si quando dixit: Variæ erunt mercedes tuæ: pariebant omnes oves varios fœtus; quando vero e contrario, ait: Alba quæque accipies pro mercede: omnes greges alba pepererunt.(vulgate) Génesis 31:8 Si él decía así: Los pintados serán tu salario; entonces todas las ovejas parían pintados: y si decía así: Los listados serán tu salario; entonces todas las ovejas parían listados.(E) Genèse 31:8 Quand il disait: Les tachetées seront ton salaire, toutes les brebis faisaient des petits tachetés. Et quand il disait: Les rayées seront ton salaire, toutes les brebis faisaient des petits rayés.(F) Gen 31:8 Wenn er sprach: Die Bunten sollen dein Lohn sein, so trug die ganze Herde Bunte. Wenn er aber sprach: Die Sprenkligen sollen dein Lohn sein, so trug die ganze Herde Sprenklinge.(D) Gen 31:8 ἐὰν οὕτως εἴπῃ τὰ ποικίλα ἔσται σου μισθός καὶ τέξεται πάντα τὰ πρόβατα ποικίλα ἐὰν δὲ εἴπῃ τὰ λευκὰ ἔσται σου μισθός καὶ τέξεται πάντα τὰ πρόβατα λευκά(lxx) Gen 31:8 If he said thus: 'The speckled shall be your wages,' then all the flocks bore speckled. And if he said thus: 'The streaked shall be your wages,' then all the flocks bore streaked.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:9 ============ Gen 31:9 Thus God has taken away your father's livestock and given them to me.(nasb) Gen 31:9 Tulitque Deus substantiam patris vestri, et dedit mihi.(vulgate) Génesis 31:9 Así quitó Dios el ganado de vuestro padre, y me lo dio a mí.(E) Genèse 31:9 Dieu a pris à votre père son troupeau, et me l'a donné.(F) Gen 31:9 Also hat Gott die Güter eures Vaters ihm entwandt und mir gegeben.(D) Gen 31:9 καὶ ἀφείλατο ὁ θεὸς πάντα τὰ κτήνη τοῦ πατρὸς ὑμῶν καὶ ἔδωκέν μοι αὐτά(lxx) Gen 31:9 So God has taken away the livestock of your father and given them to me.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:10 ============ Gen 31:10 And it came about at the time when the flock were mating that I lifted up my eyes and saw in a dream, and behold, the male goats which were mating were striped, speckled, and mottled.(nasb) Gen 31:10 Postquam enim conceptus ovium tempus advenerat, levavi oculos meos, et vidi in somnis ascendentes mares super feminas, varios et maculosos, et diversorum colorum.(vulgate) Génesis 31:10 Y sucedió que al tiempo que las ovejas se apareaban, alcé yo mis ojos y miré en sueños, y he aquí los machos que cubrían a las hembras eran listados, pintados y abigarrados.(E) Genèse 31:10 Au temps où les brebis entraient en chaleur, je levai les yeux, et je vis en songe que les boucs qui couvraient les brebis étaient rayés, tachetés et marquetés.(F) Gen 31:10 Denn wenn die Zeit des Laufs kam, hob ich meine Augen auf und sah im Traum, und siehe, die Böcke, die auf die Herde sprangen, waren sprenklig, gefleckt und bunt.(D) Gen 31:10 καὶ ἐγένετο ἡνίκα ἐνεκίσσων τὰ πρόβατα καὶ εἶδον τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς αὐτὰ ἐν τῷ ὕπνῳ καὶ ἰδοὺ οἱ τράγοι καὶ οἱ κριοὶ ἀναβαίνοντες ἦσαν ἐπὶ τὰ πρόβατα καὶ τὰς αἶγας διάλευκοι καὶ ποικίλοι καὶ σποδοειδεῖς ῥαντοί(lxx) Gen 31:10 And it happened, at the time when the flocks conceived, that I lifted my eyes and saw in a dream, and behold, the rams which leaped upon the flocks were streaked, speckled, and gray-spotted.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:11 ============ Gen 31:11 Then the angel of God said to me in the dream, 'Jacob,' and I said, 'Here I am.'(nasb) Gen 31:11 Dixitque angelus Dei ad me in somnis: Jacob? And I said, 'Here I am.'(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:12 ============ Gen 31:12 He said, 'Lift up now your eyes and see that all the male goats which are mating are striped, speckled, and mottled; for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.(nasb) Gen 31:12 Qui ait: Leva oculos tuos, et vide universos masculos ascendentes super feminas, varios, maculosos, atque respersos. Vidi enim omnia quæ fecit tibi Laban.(vulgate) Génesis 31:12 Y Él dijo: Alza ahora tus ojos, y mira; todos los machos que cubren a las ovejas son listados, pintados y abigarrados; porque yo he visto todo lo que Labán te ha hecho.(E) Genèse 31:12 Il dit: Lève les yeux, et regarde: tous les boucs qui couvrent les brebis sont rayés, tachetés et marquetés; car j'ai vu tout ce que te fait Laban.(F) Gen 31:12 Er aber sprach: Hebe deine Augen, und siehe, alle Böcke, die auf die Herde springen, sind sprenklig, gefleckt und bunt; denn ich habe alles gesehen, was dir Laban tut.(D) Gen 31:12 καὶ εἶπεν ἀνάβλεψον τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς σου καὶ ἰδὲ τοὺς τράγους καὶ τοὺς κριοὺς ἀναβαίνοντας ἐπὶ τὰ πρόβατα καὶ τὰς αἶγας διαλεύκους καὶ ποικίλους καὶ σποδοειδεῖς ῥαντούς ἑώρακα γὰρ ὅσα σοι Λαβαν ποιεῖ(lxx) Gen 31:12 And He said, 'Lift your eyes now and see, all the rams which leap on the flocks are streaked, speckled, and gray-spotted; for I have seen all that Laban is doing to you.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:13 ============ Gen 31:13 I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar, where you made a vow to Me; now arise, leave this land, and return to the land of your birth.'"(nasb) Gen 31:13 Ego sum Deus Bethel, ubi unxisti lapidem, et votum vovisti mihi. Nunc ergo surge, et egredere de terra hac, revertens in terram nativitatis tuæ.(vulgate) Génesis 31:13 Yo soy el Dios de Betel, donde tú ungiste la columna, y donde me hiciste un voto. Levántate ahora, y sal de esta tierra, y vuélvete a la tierra de tus padres.(E) Genèse 31:13 Je suis le Dieu de Béthel, où tu as oint un monument, où tu m'as fait un voeu. Maintenant, lève-toi, sors de ce pays, et retourne au pays de ta naissance.(F) Gen 31:13 Ich bin der Gott zu Beth-El, da du den Stein gesalbt hast und mir daselbst ein Gelübde getan. Nun mache dich auf und zieh aus diesem Land und zieh wieder in das Land deiner Freundschaft.(D) Gen 31:13 ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ θεὸς ὁ ὀφθείς σοι ἐν τόπῳ θεοῦ οὗ ἤλειψάς μοι ἐκεῖ στήλην καὶ ηὔξω μοι ἐκεῖ εὐχήν νῦν οὖν ἀνάστηθι καὶ ἔξελθε ἐκ τῆς γῆς ταύτης καὶ ἄπελθε εἰς τὴν γῆν τῆς γενέσεώς σου καὶ ἔσομαι μετὰ σοῦ(lxx) Gen 31:13 I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed the pillar and where you made a vow to Me. Now arise, get out of this land, and return to the land of your family.' "(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:14 ============ Gen 31:14 Rachel and Leah said to him, "Do we still have any portion or inheritance in our father's house?(nasb) Gen 31:14 Responderuntque Rachel et Lia: Numquid habemus residui quidquam in facultatibus et hæreditate domus patris nostri?(vulgate) Génesis 31:14 Y respondió Raquel y Lea, y le dijeron: ¿Acaso tenemos todavía parte o heredad en la casa de nuestro padre?(E) Genèse 31:14 Rachel et Léa répondirent, et lui dirent: Avons-nous encore une part et un héritage dans la maison de notre père?(F) Gen 31:14 Da antworteten Rahel und Lea und sprachen zu ihm: Wir haben doch kein Teil noch Erbe mehr in unsers Vaters Hause.(D) Gen 31:14 καὶ ἀποκριθεῖσα Ραχηλ καὶ Λεια εἶπαν αὐτῷ μὴ ἔστιν ἡμῖν ἔτι μερὶς ἢ κληρονομία ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν(lxx) Gen 31:14 Then Rachel and Leah answered and said to him, "Is there still any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house?(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:15 ============ Gen 31:15 Are we not reckoned by him as foreigners? For he has sold us, and has also entirely consumed our purchase price.(nasb) Gen 31:15 nonne quasi alienas reputavit nos, et vendidit, comeditque pretium nostrum?(vulgate) Génesis 31:15 ¿No nos tiene ya como por extrañas, pues que nos vendió, y aun se ha comido del todo nuestro precio?(E) Genèse 31:15 Ne sommes-nous pas regardées par lui comme des étrangères, puisqu'il nous a vendues, et qu'il a mangé notre argent?(F) Gen 31:15 Hat er uns doch gehalten wie die Fremden; denn er hat uns verkauft und unsern Lohn verzehrt;(D) Gen 31:15 οὐχ ὡς αἱ ἀλλότριαι λελογίσμεθα αὐτῷ πέπρακεν γὰρ ἡμᾶς καὶ κατέφαγεν καταβρώσει τὸ ἀργύριον ἡμῶν(lxx) Gen 31:15 Are we not considered strangers by him? For he has sold us, and also completely consumed our money.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:16 ============ Gen 31:16 Surely all the wealth which God has taken away from our father belongs to us and our children; now then, do whatever God has said to you."(nasb) Gen 31:16 Sed Deus tulit opes patris nostri, et eas tradidit nobis, ac filiis nostris: unde omnia quæ præcepit tibi Deus, fac.(vulgate) Génesis 31:16 Porque toda la riqueza que Dios ha quitado a nuestro padre, nuestra es y de nuestros hijos; ahora pues, haz todo lo que Dios te ha dicho.(E) Genèse 31:16 Toute la richesse que Dieu a ôtée à notre père appartient à nous et à nos enfants. Alles nun, was Gott dir gesagt hat, das tue.(D) Gen 31:16 πάντα τὸν πλοῦτον καὶ τὴν δόξαν ἣν ἀφείλατο ὁ θεὸς τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν ἡμῖν ἔσται καὶ τοῖς τέκνοις ἡμῶν νῦν οὖν ὅσα εἴρηκέν σοι ὁ θεός ποίει(lxx) Gen 31:16 For all these riches which God has taken from our father are really ours and our children's; now then, whatever God has said to you, do it."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:17 ============ Gen 31:17 Then Jacob arose and put his children and his wives upon camels;(nasb) Gen 31:17 Surrexit itaque Jacob, et impositis liberis ac conjugibus suis super camelos, abiit.(vulgate) Génesis 31:17 Entonces se levantó Jacob, y subió a sus hijos y a sus esposas sobre los camellos.(E) Genèse 31:17 Jacob se leva, et il fit monter ses enfants et ses femmes sur les chameaux.(F) Gen 31:17 Also machte sich Jakob auf und lud seine Kinder und Weiber auf Kamele(D) Gen 31:17 ἀναστὰς δὲ Ιακωβ ἔλαβεν τὰς γυναῖκας αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ παιδία αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὰς καμήλους(lxx) Gen 31:17 Then Jacob rose and set his sons and his wives on camels.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:18 ============ Gen 31:18 and he drove away all his livestock and all his property which he had gathered, his acquired livestock which he had gathered in Paddan-aram, to go to the land of Canaan to his father Isaac.(nasb) Gen 31:18 Tulitque omnem substantiam suam, et greges, et quidquid in Mesopotamia acquisierat, pergens ad Isaac patrem suum in terram Chanaan.~(vulgate) Génesis 31:18 Y puso en camino todo su ganado, y todos sus bienes que había adquirido, el ganado de su ganancia que había obtenido en Padan-aram, para volverse a Isaac su padre en la tierra de Canaán.(E) Genèse 31:18 Il emmena tout son troupeau et tous les biens qu'il possédait, le troupeau qui lui appartenait, qu'il avait acquis à Paddan-Aram; et il s'en alla vers Isaac, son père, au pays de Canaan.(F) Gen 31:18 und führte weg all sein Vieh und alle seine Habe, die er zu Mesopotamien erworben hatte, daß er käme zu Isaak, seinem Vater, ins Land Kanaan.(D) Gen 31:18 καὶ ἀπήγαγεν πάντα τὰ ὑπάρχοντα αὐτοῦ καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν ἀποσκευὴν αὐτοῦ ἣν περιεποιήσατο ἐν τῇ Μεσοποταμίᾳ καὶ πάντα τὰ αὐτοῦ ἀπελθεῖν πρὸς Ισαακ τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ εἰς γῆν Χανααν(lxx) Gen 31:18 And he carried away all his livestock and all his possessions which he had gained, his acquired livestock which he had gained in Padan Aram, to go to his father Isaac in the land of Canaan.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:19 ============ Gen 31:19 When Laban had gone to shear his flock, then Rachel stole the household idols that were her father's.(nasb) Gen 31:19 Eo tempore ierat Laban ad tondendas oves, et Rachel furata est idola patris sui.(vulgate) Génesis 31:19 Y Labán había ido a trasquilar sus ovejas: y Raquel hurtó los ídolos de su padre.(E) Genèse 31:19 Tandis que Laban était allé tondre ses brebis, Rachel déroba les théraphim de son père;(F) Gen 31:19 (Laban aber war gegangen sein Herde zu scheren.) In the presence of our brethren, identify what I have of yours and take it with you." And he searched but did not find the household idols.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:36 ============ Gen 31:36 Then Jacob became angry and contended with Laban; and Jacob said to Laban, "What is my transgression? What is my sin, that you have so hotly pursued me?(nkjv) ======= Genesis 31:37 ============ Gen 31:37 Though you have felt through all my goods, what have you found of all your household goods?
