C'était un homme puissant et riche, de la famille d'Elimélec, et qui se nommait Boaz.(F) Rut 2:1 Es war auch ein Mann, ein Verwandter des Mannes der Naemi, von dem Geschlecht Elimelechs, mit Namen Boas; der war ein wohlhabender Mann.(D) Rut 2:1 καὶ τῇ Νωεμιν ἀνὴρ γνώριμος τῷ ἀνδρὶ αὐτῆς ὁ δὲ ἀνὴρ δυνατὸς ἰσχύι ἐκ τῆς συγγενείας Αβιμελεχ καὶ ὄνομα αὐτῷ Βοος(lxx) Rut 2:1 There was a relative of Naomi's husband, a man of great wealth, of the family of Elimelech. His name was Boaz.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:2 ============ Rut 2:2 And Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Please let me go to the field and glean among the ears of grain after one in whose sight I may find favor." And she said to her, "Go, my daughter."(nasb) Rut 2:2 Dixitque Ruth Moabitis ad socrum suam: Si jubes, vadam in agrum, et colligam spicas quæ fugerint manus metentium, ubicumque clementis in me patrisfamilias reperero gratiam. Cui illa respondit: Vade, filia mea.(vulgate) Rut 2:2 Y Ruth la moabita dijo a Noemí: Te ruego que me dejes ir al campo, y recogeré espigas en pos de aquel a cuyos ojos hallare gracia. Y ella le respondió: Ve, hija mía.(E) Ruth 2:2 Ruth la Moabite dit à Naomi: Laisse-moi, je te prie, aller glaner des épis dans le champ de celui aux yeux duquel je trouverai grâce. Elle lui répondit: Va, ma fille.(F) Rut 2:2 Und Rut die Moabitin, sprach zu Naemi: Laß mich aufs Feld gehen und Ähren auflesen dem nach, vor dem ich Gnade finde. Sie aber sprach zu ihr: Gehe hin, meine Tochter.(D) Rut 2:2 καὶ εἶπεν Ρουθ ἡ Μωαβῖτις πρὸς Νωεμιν πορευθῶ δὴ εἰς ἀγρὸν καὶ συνάξω ἐν τοῖς στάχυσιν κατόπισθεν οὗ ἐὰν εὕρω χάριν ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς αὐτοῦ εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῇ πορεύου θύγατερ(lxx) Rut 2:2 So Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor." And she said to her, "Go, my daughter."(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:3 ============ Rut 2:3 So she departed and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers; and she happened to come to the portion of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.(nasb) Rut 2:3 Abiit itaque et colligebat spicas post terga metentium. Accidit autem ut ager ille haberet dominum nomine Booz, qui erat de cognatione Elimelech.(vulgate) Rut 2:3 Fue, pues, y llegando, espigó en el campo en pos de los segadores; y aconteció por ventura, que la parte del campo [era] de Boaz, el cual [era] de la parentela de Elimelec.(E) Ruth 2:3 Elle alla glaner dans un champ, derrière les moissonneurs. Et il se trouva par hasard que la pièce de terre appartenait à Boaz, qui était de la famille d'Elimélec.(F) Rut 2:3 Sie ging hin, kam und las auf, den Schnittern nach, auf dem Felde. Und es begab sich eben, daß dasselbe Feld war des Boas, der von dem Geschlecht Elimelechs war.(D) Rut 2:3 καὶ ἐπορεύθη καὶ συνέλεξεν ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ κατόπισθεν τῶν θεριζόντων καὶ περιέπεσεν περιπτώματι τῇ μερίδι τοῦ ἀγροῦ Βοος τοῦ ἐκ συγγενείας Αβιμελεχ(lxx) Rut 2:3 Then she left, and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:4 ============ Rut 2:4 Now behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem and said to the reapers, "May the Lord be with you." And they said to him, "May the Lord bless you."(nasb) Rut 2:4 Et ecce, ipse veniebat de Bethlehem, dixitque messoribus: Dominus vobiscum. Qui responderunt ei: Benedicat tibi Dominus.(vulgate) Rut 2:4 Y he aquí que Boaz vino de Belén, y dijo a los segadores: Jehová [sea] con vosotros. Y ellos respondieron: Jehová te bendiga.(E) Ruth 2:4 Et voici, Boaz vint de Bethléhem, et il dit aux moissonneurs: Que l'Eternel soit avec vous! Sie antworteten: Der HERR segne dich!(D) Rut 2:4 καὶ ἰδοὺ Βοος ἦλθεν ἐκ Βαιθλεεμ καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς θερίζουσιν κύριος μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν καὶ εἶπον αὐτῷ εὐλογήσαι σε κύριος(lxx) Rut 2:4 Now behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, "The Lord be with you!" And they answered him, "The Lord bless you!"(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:5 ============ Rut 2:5 Then Boaz said to his servant who was in charge of the reapers, "Whose young woman is this?"(nasb) Rut 2:5 Dixitque Booz juveni, qui messoribus præerat: Cujus est hæc puella?(vulgate) Rut 2:5 Y Boaz dijo a su siervo el mayordomo de los segadores: ¿De quién [es] esta joven?(E) Ruth 2:5 Et Boaz dit à son serviteur chargé de surveiller les moissonneurs: A qui est cette jeune femme?(F) Rut 2:5 Und Boas sprach zu seinem Knechte, der über die Schnitter gestellt war: Wes ist die Dirne?(D) Rut 2:5 καὶ εἶπεν Βοος τῷ παιδαρίῳ αὐτοῦ τῷ ἐφεστῶτι ἐπὶ τοὺς θερίζοντας τίνος ἡ νεᾶνις αὕτη(lxx) Rut 2:5 Then Boaz said to his servant who was in charge of the reapers, "Whose young woman is this?"(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:6 ============ Rut 2:6 The servant in charge of the reapers replied, "She is the young Moabite woman who returned with Naomi from the land of Moab.(nasb) Rut 2:6 Cui respondit: Hæc est Moabitis, quæ venit cum Noëmi, de regione Moabitide,(vulgate) Rut 2:6 Y el siervo, mayordomo de los segadores, respondió y dijo: Es la joven de Moab, que volvió con Noemí de los campos de Moab;(E) Ruth 2:6 Le serviteur chargé de surveiller les moissonneurs répondit: C'est une jeune femme Moabite, qui est revenue avec Naomi du pays de Moab.(F) Rut 2:6 Der Knecht, der über die Schnitter gestellt war, antwortete und sprach: Es ist die Dirne, die Moabitin, die mit Naemi wiedergekommen ist von der Moabiter Lande.(D) Rut 2:6 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη τὸ παιδάριον τὸ ἐφεστὸς ἐπὶ τοὺς θερίζοντας καὶ εἶπεν ἡ παῖς ἡ Μωαβῖτίς ἐστιν ἡ ἀποστραφεῖσα μετὰ Νωεμιν ἐξ ἀγροῦ Μωαβ(lxx) Rut 2:6 So the servant who was in charge of the reapers answered and said, "It is the young Moabite woman who came back with Naomi from the country of Moab.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:7 ============ Rut 2:7 And she said, 'Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.' Thus she came and has remained from the morning until now; she has been sitting in the house for a little while."(nasb) Rut 2:7 et rogavit ut spicas colligeret remanentes, sequens messorum vestigia: et de mane usque nunc stat in agro, et ne ad momentum quidem domum reversa est.(vulgate) Rut 2:7 y ha dicho: Te ruego que me dejes recoger y juntar tras los segadores entre las gavillas: Entró, pues, y está desde por la mañana hasta ahora, menos un poco que se detuvo en casa.(E) Ruth 2:7 Elle a dit: Permettez-moi de glaner et de ramasser des épis entre les gerbes, derrière les moissonneurs. Et depuis ce matin qu'elle est venue, elle a été debout jusqu'à présent, et ne s'est reposée qu'un moment dans la maison.(F) Rut 2:7 Denn sie sprach: Laßt mich doch auflesen und sammeln unter den Garben, den Schnittern nach; und ist also gekommen und dagestanden vom Morgen an bis her und bleibt wenig daheim.(D) Rut 2:7 καὶ εἶπεν συλλέξω δὴ καὶ συνάξω ἐν τοῖς δράγμασιν ὄπισθεν τῶν θεριζόντων καὶ ἦλθεν καὶ ἔστη ἀπὸ πρωίθεν καὶ ἕως ἑσπέρας οὐ κατέπαυσεν ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ μικρόν(lxx) Rut 2:7 And she said, 'Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.' So she came and has continued from morning until now, though she rested a little in the house."(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:8 ============ Rut 2:8 Then Boaz said to Ruth, "Listen carefully, my daughter. Do not go to glean in another field; furthermore, do not go on from this one, but stay here with my maids.(nasb) Rut 2:8 Et ait Booz ad Ruth: Audi, filia, ne vadas in alterum agrum ad colligendum, nec recedas ab hoc loco: sed jungere puellis meis,(vulgate) Rut 2:8 Entonces Boaz dijo a Ruth: Oye, hija mía, no vayas a espigar a otro campo, ni pases de aquí; y aquí estarás junto a mis criadas.(E) Ruth 2:8 Boaz dit à Ruth: Ecoute, ma fille, ne va pas glaner dans un autre champ; ne t'éloigne pas d'ici, et reste avec mes servantes.(F) Rut 2:8 Da sprach Boas zu Rut Hörst du es, meine Tochter? Du sollst nicht gehen auf einen andern Acker, aufzulesen, und gehe auch nicht von hinnen, sondern halte dich zu meinen Dirnen.(D) Rut 2:8 καὶ εἶπεν Βοος πρὸς Ρουθ οὐκ ἤκουσας θύγατερ μὴ πορευθῇς ἐν ἀγρῷ συλλέξαι ἑτέρῳ καὶ σὺ οὐ πορεύσῃ ἐντεῦθεν ὧδε κολλήθητι μετὰ τῶν κορασίων μου(lxx) Rut 2:8 Then Boaz said to Ruth, "You will listen, my daughter, will you not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close by my young women.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:9 ============ Rut 2:9 Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Indeed, I have commanded the servants not to touch you. When you are thirsty, go to the water jars and drink from what the servants draw."(nasb) Rut 2:9 et ubi messuerint, sequere. Mandavi enim pueris meis, ut nemo molestus sit tibi: sed etiam si sitieris, vade ad sarcinulas, et bibe aquas, de quibus et pueri bibunt.(vulgate) Rut 2:9 Mira bien el campo que ellas siegan, y síguelas; porque yo he mandado a los criados que no te toquen. Y si tuvieres sed, ve a los vasos, y bebe [del agua] que sacan los criados.(E) Ruth 2:9 Regarde où l'on moissonne dans le champ, et va après elles. J'ai défendu à mes serviteurs de te toucher. Et quand tu auras soif, tu iras aux vases, et tu boiras de ce que les serviteurs auront puisé.(F) Rut 2:9 Und siehe, wo sie schneiden im Felde, da gehe ihnen nach. Ich habe meinen Knechten geboten, daß dich niemand antaste. Und so dich dürstet, so gehe hin zu dem Gefäß und trinke von dem, was meine Knechte schöpfen.(D) Rut 2:9 οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου εἰς τὸν ἀγρόν οὗ ἐὰν θερίζωσιν καὶ πορεύσῃ κατόπισθεν αὐτῶν ἰδοὺ ἐνετειλάμην τοῖς παιδαρίοις τοῦ μὴ ἅψασθαί σου καὶ ὅ τι διψήσεις καὶ πορευθήσῃ εἰς τὰ σκεύη καὶ πίεσαι ὅθεν ἂν ὑδρεύωνται τὰ παιδάρια(lxx) Rut 2:9 Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn."(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:10 ============ Rut 2:10 Then she fell on her face, bowing to the ground and said to him, "Why have I found favor in your sight that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?"(nasb) Rut 2:10 Quæ cadens in faciem suam et adorans super terram, dixit ad eum: Unde mihi hoc, ut invenirem gratiam ante oculos tuos, et nosse me dignareris peregrinam mulierem?(vulgate) Rut 2:10 Ella entonces bajando su rostro se inclinó a tierra, y le dijo: ¿Por qué he hallado gracia en tus ojos para que tú me reconozcas, siendo yo extranjera?(E) Ruth 2:10 Alors elle tomba sur sa face et se prosterna contre terre, et elle lui dit: Comment ai-je trouvé grâce à tes yeux, pour que tu t'intéresses à moi, à moi qui suis une étrangère?(F) Rut 2:10 Da fiel sie auf ihr Angesicht und beugte sich nieder zur Erde und sprach zu ihm: Womit habe ich die Gnade gefunden vor deinen Augen, daß du mich ansiehst, die ich doch fremd bin?(D) Rut 2:10 καὶ ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτῆς καὶ προσεκύνησεν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτόν τί ὅτι εὗρον χάριν ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς σου τοῦ ἐπιγνῶναί με καὶ ἐγώ εἰμι ξένη(lxx) Rut 2:10 So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, "Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?"(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:11 ============ Rut 2:11 Boaz replied to her, "All that you have done for your mother-in-law after the death of your husband has been fully reported to me, and how you left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and came to a people that you did not previously know.(nasb) Rut 2:11 Cui ille respondit: Nuntiata sunt mihi omnia quæ feceris socrui tuæ post mortem viri tui: et quod reliqueris parentes tuos, et terram in qua nata es, et veneris ad populum, quem antea nesciebas.(vulgate) Rut 2:11 Y respondiendo Boaz, le dijo: Por cierto se me ha contado todo lo que has hecho con tu suegra después de la muerte de tu marido, y que dejando a tu padre y a tu madre y la tierra donde naciste, has venido a un pueblo que no conociste antes.(E) Ruth 2:11 Boaz lui répondit: On m'a rapporté tout ce que tu as fait pour ta belle-mère depuis la mort de ton mari, et comment tu as quitté ton père et ta mère et le pays de ta naissance, pour aller vers un peuple que tu ne connaissais point auparavant.(F) Rut 2:11 Boas antwortete und sprach zu ihr: Es ist mir angesagt alles, was du hast getan an deiner Schwiegermutter nach deines Mannes Tod: daß du verlassen hast deinen Vater und deine Mutter und dein Vaterland und bist zu meinem Volk gezogen, das du zuvor nicht kanntest.(D) Rut 2:11 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Βοος καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ ἀπαγγελίᾳ ἀπηγγέλη μοι ὅσα πεποίηκας μετὰ τῆς πενθερᾶς σου μετὰ τὸ ἀποθανεῖν τὸν ἄνδρα σου καὶ πῶς κατέλιπες τὸν πατέρα σου καὶ τὴν μητέρα σου καὶ τὴν γῆν γενέσεώς σου καὶ ἐπορεύθης πρὸς λαὸν ὃν οὐκ ᾔδεις ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτης(lxx) Rut 2:11 And Boaz answered and said to her, "It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:12 ============ Rut 2:12 May the Lord reward your work, and your wages be full from the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge."(nasb) Rut 2:12 Reddat tibi Dominus pro opere tuo, et plenam mercedem recipias a Domino Deo Israël, ad quem venisti, et sub cujus confugisti alas.(vulgate) Rut 2:12 Jehová recompense tu obra, y tu remuneración sea completa por Jehová Dios de Israel, que has venido a refugiarte bajo sus alas.(E) Ruth 2:12 Que l'Eternel te rende ce que tu as fait, et que ta récompense soit entière de la part de l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël, sous les ailes duquel tu es venue te réfugier!(F) Rut 2:12 Der HERR vergelte dir deine Tat, und dein Lohn müsse vollkommen sein bei dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, zu welchem du gekommen bist, daß du unter seinen Flügeln Zuversicht hättest.(D) Rut 2:12 ἀποτείσαι κύριος τὴν ἐργασίαν σου καὶ γένοιτο ὁ μισθός σου πλήρης παρὰ κυρίου θεοῦ Ισραηλ πρὸς ὃν ἦλθες πεποιθέναι ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας αὐτοῦ(lxx) Rut 2:12 The Lord repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge."(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:13 ============ Rut 2:13 Then she said, "I have found favor in your sight, my lord, for you have comforted me and indeed have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants."(nasb) Rut 2:13 Quæ ait: Inveni gratiam apud oculos tuos, domine mi, qui consolatus es me, et locutus es ad cor ancillæ tuæ, quæ non sum similis unius puellarum tuarum.(vulgate) Rut 2:13 Y ella dijo: Señor mío, halle yo gracia delante de tus ojos; porque me has consolado, y porque has hablado al corazón de tu sierva, no siendo yo como una de tus criadas.(E) Ruth 2:13 Et elle dit: Oh! que je trouve grâce à tes yeux, mon seigneur! Car tu m'as consolée, et tu as parlé au coeur de ta servante. Et pourtant je ne suis pas, moi, comme l'une de tes servantes.(F) Rut 2:13 Sie sprach: Laß mich Gnade vor deinen Augen finden, mein Herr; denn du hast mich getröstet und deine Magd freundlich angesprochen, so ich doch nicht bin wie deiner Mägde eine.(D) Rut 2:13 ἡ δὲ εἶπεν εὕροιμι χάριν ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς σου κύριε ὅτι παρεκάλεσάς με καὶ ὅτι ἐλάλησας ἐπὶ καρδίαν τῆς δούλης σου καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι ὡς μία τῶν παιδισκῶν σου(lxx) Rut 2:13 Then she said, "Let me find favor in your sight, my lord; for you have comforted me, and have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants."(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:14 ============ Rut 2:14 At mealtime Boaz said to her, "Come here, that you may eat of the bread and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar." So she sat beside the reapers; and he served her roasted grain, and she ate and was satisfied and had some left.(nasb) Rut 2:14 Dixitque ad eam Booz: Quando hora vescendi fuerit, veni huc, et comede panem, et intinge buccellam tuam in aceto. Sedit itaque ad messorum latus, et congessit polentam sibi, comeditque et saturata est, et tulit reliquias.(vulgate) Rut 2:14 Y Boaz le dijo a la hora de comer: Acércate aquí, y come del pan, y moja tu bocado en el vinagre. Y ella se sentó junto a los segadores, y él le dio del potaje, y comió hasta que se sació y le sobró.(E) Ruth 2:14 Au moment du repas, Boaz dit à Ruth: Approche, mange du pain, et trempe ton morceau dans le vinaigre. Elle s'assit à côté des moissonneurs. On lui donna du grain rôti; elle mangea et se rassasia, et elle garda le reste.(F) Rut 2:14 Boas sprach zu ihr, da Essenszeit war: Mache dich hier herzu und iß vom Brot und tauche deinen Bissen in den Essig. Und sie setzte sich zur Seite der Schnitter. Er aber legte ihr geröstete Körner vor, und sie aß und ward satt und ließ übrig.(D) Rut 2:14 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ Βοος ἤδη ὥρᾳ τοῦ φαγεῖν πρόσελθε ὧδε καὶ φάγεσαι τῶν ἄρτων καὶ βάψεις τὸν ψωμόν σου ἐν τῷ ὄξει καὶ ἐκάθισεν Ρουθ ἐκ πλαγίων τῶν θεριζόντων καὶ ἐβούνισεν αὐτῇ Βοος ἄλφιτον καὶ ἔφαγεν καὶ ἐνεπλήσθη καὶ κατέλιπεν(lxx) Rut 2:14 Now Boaz said to her at mealtime, "Come here, and eat of the bread, and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar." So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed parched grain to her; and she ate and was satisfied, and kept some back.(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:15 ============ Rut 2:15 When she rose to glean, Boaz commanded his servants, saying, "Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not insult her.(nasb) Rut 2:15 Atque inde surrexit, ut spicas ex more colligeret. Præcepit autem Booz pueris suis, dicens: Etiamsi vobiscum metere voluerit, ne prohibeatis eam:(vulgate) Rut 2:15 Luego se levantó para espigar. Y Boaz mandó a sus criados, diciendo: Que recoja también espigas entre las gavillas, y no la avergoncéis;(E) Ruth 2:15 Puis elle se leva pour glaner. "(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:22 ============ Rut 2:22 Naomi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, "It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his maids, so that others do not fall upon you in another field."(nasb) Rut 2:22 Cui dixit socrus: Melius est, filia mea, ut cum puellis ejus exeas ad metendum, ne in alieno agro quispiam resistat tibi.(vulgate) Rut 2:22 Y Noemí respondió a Ruth su nuera: Mejor [es], hija mía, que salgas con sus criadas, y no que te encuentren en otro campo.(E) Ruth 2:22 Et Naomi dit à Ruth, sa belle-fille: Il est bon, ma fille, que tu sortes avec ses servantes, et qu'on ne te rencontre pas dans un autre champ.(F) Rut 2:22 Naemi sprach zu Rut ihrer Schwiegertochter: Es ist gut, meine Tochter, daß du mit seinen Dirnen ausgehst, auf daß nicht jemand dir dreinrede auf einem andern Acker.(D) Rut 2:22 καὶ εἶπεν Νωεμιν πρὸς Ρουθ τὴν νύμφην αὐτῆς ἀγαθόν θύγατερ ὅτι ἐπορεύθης μετὰ τῶν κορασίων αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἀπαντήσονταί σοι ἐν ἀγρῷ ἑτέρῳ(lxx) Rut 2:22 And Naomi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, "It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his young women, and that people do not meet you in any other field."(nkjv) ======= Ruth 2:23 ============ Rut 2:23 So she stayed close by the maids of Boaz in order to glean until the end of the barley harvest and the wheat harvest. And she lived with her mother-in-law.(nasb) Rut 2:23 Juncta est itaque puellis Booz: et tamdiu cum eis messuit, donec hordea et triticum in horreis conderentur.(vulgate) Rut 2:23 Estuvo, pues, junto con las criadas de Boaz espigando, hasta que la siega de las cebadas y la de los trigos fue acabada; y habitó con su suegra.(E) Ruth 2:23 Elle resta donc avec les servantes de Boaz, pour glaner, jusqu'à la fin de la moisson des orges et de la moisson du froment.
