And Achish said to the commanders of the Philistines, "Is this not David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or rather these years, and I have found no fault in him from the day he deserted to me to this day?"(nasb) 1Sa 29:3 Dixeruntque principes Philisthiim ad Achis: Quid sibi volunt Hebræi isti? Et ait Achis ad principes Philisthiim: Num ignoratis David, qui fuit servus Saul regis Israël, et est apud me multis diebus, vel annis, et non inveni in eo quidquam ex die qua transfugit ad me usque ad diem hanc?(vulgate) 1 Samuel 29:3 Y dijeron los príncipes de los filisteos: ¿Qué [hacen aquí] estos hebreos? And Achish said to the princes of the Philistines, "Is this not David, the servant of Saul king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or these years? And to this day I have found no fault in him since he defected to me."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 29:4 ============ 1Sa 29:4 But the commanders of the Philistines were angry with him, and the commanders of the Philistines said to him, "Make the man go back, that he may return to his place where you have assigned him, and do not let him go down to battle with us, or in the battle he may become an adversary to us. For with what could this man make himself acceptable to his lord? Would it not be with the heads of these men?(nasb) 1Sa 29:4 Irati sunt autem adversus eum principes Philisthiim, et dixerunt ei: Revertatur vir iste, et sedeat in loco suo in quo constituisti eum, et non descendat nobiscum in prælium, ne fiat nobis adversarius, cum præliari cœperimus: quomodo enim aliter poterit placare dominum suum, nisi in capitibus nostris?(vulgate) 1 Samuel 29:4 Entonces los príncipes de los filisteos se enojaron contra él, y le dijeron: Envía a este hombre, que se vuelva al lugar que le señalaste, y no venga con nosotros a la batalla, no sea que en la batalla se nos vuelva enemigo; porque ¿con qué cosa volvería mejor a la gracia de su señor que con las cabezas de estos hombres?(E) 1 Samuel 29:4 Mais les princes des Philistins s'irritèrent contre Akisch, et lui dirent: Renvoie cet homme, et qu'il retourne dans le lieu où tu l'as établi; qu'il ne descende pas avec nous sur le champ de bataille, afin qu'il ne soit pas pour nous un ennemi pendant le combat. Et comment cet homme rentrerait-il en grâce auprès de son maître, si ce n'est au moyen des têtes de nos gens?(F) 1Sa 29:4 Aber die Fürsten der Philister wurden zornig auf ihn und sprachen zu ihm: Laß den Mann umkehren und an seinem Ort bleiben, dahin du ihn bestellt hast, daß er nicht mit uns hinabziehe zum Streit und unser Widersacher werde im Streit. Denn woran könnte er seinem Herrn größeren Gefallen tun als an den Köpfen dieser Männer?(D) 1Sa 29:4 καὶ ἐλυπήθησαν ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ οἱ στρατηγοὶ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ ἀπόστρεψον τὸν ἄνδρα εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτοῦ οὗ κατέστησας αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ καὶ μὴ ἐρχέσθω μεθ᾽ ἡμῶν εἰς τὸν πόλεμον καὶ μὴ γινέσθω ἐπίβουλος τῆς παρεμβολῆς καὶ ἐν τίνι διαλλαγήσεται οὗτος τῷ κυρίῳ αὐτοῦ οὐχὶ ἐν ταῖς κεφαλαῖς τῶν ἀνδρῶν ἐκείνων(lxx) 1Sa 29:4 But the princes of the Philistines were angry with him; so the princes of the Philistines said to him, "Make this fellow return, that he may go back to the place which you have appointed for him, and do not let him go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he become our adversary. For with what could he reconcile himself to his master, if not with the heads of these men?(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 29:5 ============ 1Sa 29:5 Is this not David, of whom they sing in the dances, saying, 'Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands'?"(nasb) 1Sa 29:5 Nonne iste est David, cui cantabant in choris, dicentes: [Percussit Saul in millibus suis, et David in decem millibus suis?](vulgate) 1 Samuel 29:5 ¿No [es] éste David de quien cantaban con danzas, diciendo: Saúl mató a sus miles, y David a sus diez miles?(E) 1 Samuel 29:5 N'est-ce pas ce David pour qui l'on chantait en dansant: Saül a frappé ses mille, Et David ses dix mille?(F) 1Sa 29:5 Ist er nicht David, von dem sie sangen im Reigen: Saul hat tausend geschlagen, David aber zehntausend?(D) 1Sa 29:5 οὐχ οὗτος Δαυιδ ᾧ ἐξῆρχον ἐν χοροῖς λέγοντες ἐπάταξεν Σαουλ ἐν χιλιάσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ Δαυιδ ἐν μυριάσιν αὐτοῦ(lxx) 1Sa 29:5 Is this not David, of whom they sang to one another in dances, saying: 'Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands'?"(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 29:6 ============ 1Sa 29:6 Then Achish called David and said to him, "As the Lord lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the army are pleasing in my sight; for I have not found evil in you from the day of your coming to me to this day. Nevertheless, you are not pleasing in the sight of the lords.(nasb) 1Sa 29:6 Vocavit ergo Achis David, et ait ei: Vivit Dominus, quia rectus es tu, et bonus in conspectu meo: et exitus tuus, et introitus tuus mecum est in castris: et non inveni in te quidquam mali ex die qua venisti ad me usque in diem hanc: sed satrapis non places.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 29:6 Y Aquís llamó a David, y le dijo: Vive Jehová, que tú has sido recto, y que me ha parecido bien tu salida y entrada en el campamento conmigo, y que ninguna cosa mala he hallado en ti desde el día que viniste a mí hasta hoy; pero en los ojos de los príncipes no agradas.(E) 1 Samuel 29:6 Akisch appela David, et lui dit: L'Eternel est vivant! tu es un homme droit, et j'aime à te voir aller et venir avec moi dans le camp, car je n'ai rien trouvé de mauvais en toi depuis ton arrivée auprès de moi jusqu'à ce jour; mais tu ne plais pas aux princes.(F) 1Sa 29:6 Da rief Achis David und sprach zu ihm: So wahr der HERR lebt, ich halte dich für redlich, und dein Ausgang und Eingang mit mir im Heer gefällt mir wohl, und habe nichts Arges an dir gespürt, seit der Zeit, daß du zu mir gekommen bist; aber du gefällst den Fürsten nicht.(D) 1Sa 29:6 καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Αγχους τὸν Δαυιδ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ζῇ κύριος ὅτι εὐθὴς σὺ καὶ ἀγαθὸς ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς μου καὶ ἡ ἔξοδός σου καὶ ἡ εἴσοδός σου μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ καὶ ὅτι οὐχ εὕρηκα κατὰ σοῦ κακίαν ἀφ᾽ ἧς ἡμέρας ἥκεις πρός με ἕως τῆς σήμερον ἡμέρας καὶ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς τῶν σατραπῶν οὐκ ἀγαθὸς σύ(lxx) 1Sa 29:6 Then Achish called David and said to him, "Surely, as the Lord lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the army is good in my sight. For to this day I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming to me. Nevertheless the lords do not favor you.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 29:7 ============ 1Sa 29:7 Now therefore return and go in peace, that you may not displease the lords of the Philistines."(nasb) 1Sa 29:7 Revertere ergo, et vade in pace, et non offendas oculos satraparum Philisthiim.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 29:7 Vuélvete, pues, y vete en paz; y no hagas lo malo en los ojos de los príncipes de los filisteos.(E) 1 Samuel 29:7 Retourne donc et va-t'en en paix, pour ne rien faire de désagréable aux yeux des princes des Philistins.(F) 1Sa 29:7 So kehre nun um und gehe hin mit Frieden, auf daß du nicht übel tust vor den Augen der Fürsten der Philister.(D) 1Sa 29:7 καὶ νῦν ἀνάστρεφε καὶ πορεύου εἰς εἰρήνην καὶ οὐ μὴ ποιήσεις κακίαν ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς τῶν σατραπῶν τῶν ἀλλοφύλων(lxx) 1Sa 29:7 Therefore return now, and go in peace, that you may not displease the lords of the Philistines."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 29:8 ============ 1Sa 29:8 David said to Achish, "But what have I done? And what have you found in your servant from the day when I came before you to this day, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?"(nasb) 1Sa 29:8 Dixitque David ad Achis: Quid enim feci, et quid invenisti in me servo tuo, a die qua fui in conspectu tuo usque in diem hanc, ut non veniam et pugnem contra inimicos domini mei regis?(vulgate) 1 Samuel 29:8 Y David respondió a Aquís: ¿Qué he hecho? ¿Qué has hallado en tu siervo desde el día que estoy contigo hasta hoy, para que yo no vaya y pelee contra los enemigos de mi señor el rey?(E) 1 Samuel 29:8 David dit à Akisch: Mais qu'ai-je fait, et qu'as-tu trouvé en ton serviteur depuis que je suis auprès de toi jusqu'à ce jour, pour que je n'aille pas combattre les ennemis de mon seigneur le roi?(F) 1Sa 29:8 David aber sprach zu Achis: Was habe ich getan, und was hast du gespürt an deinem Knecht seit der Zeit, daß ich vor dir gewesen bin, bis her, daß ich nicht sollte kommen und streiten wider die Feinde meines Herrn, des Königs?(D) 1Sa 29:8 καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Αγχους τί πεποίηκά σοι καὶ τί εὗρες ἐν τῷ δούλῳ σου ἀφ᾽ ἧς ἡμέρας ἤμην ἐνώπιόν σου καὶ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης ὅτι οὐ μὴ ἔλθω πολεμῆσαι τοὺς ἐχθροὺς τοῦ κυρίου μου τοῦ βασιλέως(lxx) 1Sa 29:8 So David said to Achish, "But what have I done? And to this day what have you found in your servant as long as I have been with you, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?"(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 29:9 ============ 1Sa 29:9 But Achish replied to David, "I know that you are pleasing in my sight, like an angel of God; nevertheless the commanders of the Philistines have said, 'He must not go up with us to the battle.'(nasb) 1Sa 29:9 Respondens autem Achis, locutus est ad David: Scio quia bonus es tu in oculis meis, sicut angelus Dei: sed principes Philisthinorum dixerunt: Non ascendet nobiscum in prælium.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 29:9 Y Aquís respondió a David, y dijo: Yo sé que tú [eres] bueno ante mis ojos, como un ángel de Dios; mas los príncipes de los filisteos han dicho: No venga con nosotros a la batalla.(E) 1 Samuel 29:9 Akisch répondit à David: Je le sais, car tu es agréable à mes yeux comme un ange de Dieu; mais les princes des Philistins disent: Il ne montera point avec nous pour combattre.(F) 1Sa 29:9 Achis antwortete und sprach zu David: Ich weiß es wohl; denn du gefällst meinen Augen wie ein Engel Gottes. Aber der Philister Fürsten haben gesagt: Laß ihn nicht mit uns hinauf in den Streit ziehen.(D) 1Sa 29:9 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Αγχους πρὸς Δαυιδ οἶδα ὅτι ἀγαθὸς σὺ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς μου ἀλλ᾽ οἱ σατράπαι τῶν ἀλλοφύλων λέγουσιν οὐχ ἥξει μεθ᾽ ἡμῶν εἰς πόλεμον(lxx) 1Sa 29:9 Then Achish answered and said to David, "I know that you are as good in my sight as an angel of God; nevertheless the princes of the Philistines have said, 'He shall not go up with us to the battle.'(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 29:10 ============ 1Sa 29:10 Now then arise early in the morning with the servants of your lord who have come with you, and as soon as you have arisen early in the morning and have light, depart."(nasb) 1Sa 29:10 Igitur consurge mane tu, et servi domini tui qui venerunt tecum: et cum de nocte surrexeritis, et cœperit dilucescere, pergite.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 29:10 Levántate, pues, muy de mañana, tú y los siervos de tu señor que han venido contigo; y temprano en la mañana, cuando os levantéis, al amanecer, partid.(E) 1 Samuel 29:10 Ainsi lève-toi de bon matin, toi et les serviteurs de ton maître qui sont venus avec toi; levez-vous de bon matin, et partez dès que vous verrez la lumière.(F) 1Sa 29:10 So mache dich nun morgen früh auf und die Knechte deines Herrn, die mit dir gekommen sind; und wenn ihr euch morgen früh aufgemacht habt, da es licht ist, so gehet hin.(D) 1Sa 29:10 καὶ νῦν ὄρθρισον τὸ πρωί σὺ καὶ οἱ παῖδες τοῦ κυρίου σου οἱ ἥκοντες μετὰ σοῦ καὶ πορεύεσθε εἰς τὸν τόπον οὗ κατέστησα ὑμᾶς ἐκεῖ καὶ λόγον λοιμὸν μὴ θῇς ἐν καρδίᾳ σου ὅτι ἀγαθὸς σὺ ἐνώπιόν μου καὶ ὀρθρίσατε ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ καὶ φωτισάτω ὑμῖν καὶ πορεύθητε(lxx) 1Sa 29:10 Now therefore, rise early in the morning with your master's servants who have come with you. And as soon as you are up early in the morning and have light, depart."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 29:11 ============ 1Sa 29:11 So David arose early, he and his men, to depart in the morning to return to the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.(nasb) 1Sa 29:11 Surrexit itaque de nocte David, ipse et viri ejus, ut proficiscerentur mane, et reverterentur ad terram Philisthiim: Philisthiim autem ascenderunt in Jezrahel.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 29:11 Y David se levantó muy de mañana, él y los suyos, para irse y regresar a la tierra de los filisteos; y los filisteos subieron a Jezreel.(E) 1 Samuel 29:11 David et ses gens se levèrent de bonne heure, pour partir dès le matin, et retourner dans le pays des Philistins.
