And it came about while he was shearing his sheep in Carmel(nasb) 1Sa 25:2 Erat autem vir quispiam in solitudine Maon, et possessio ejus in Carmelo, et homo ille magnus nimis: erantque ei oves tria millia, et mille capræ: et accidit ut tonderetur grex ejus in Carmelo.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 25:2 Y [había] un hombre en Maón que [tenía] su hacienda en el Carmelo, el cual [era] muy rico, y tenía tres mil ovejas y mil cabras. Et nomen uxoris ejus Abigail: eratque mulier illa prudentissima, et speciosa: porro vir ejus durus, et pessimus, et malitiosus: erat autem de genere Caleb.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 25:3 El nombre de aquel varón [era] Nabal, y el nombre de su esposa, Abigail. And she was a woman of good understanding and beautiful appearance; but the man was harsh and evil in his doings. Your shepherds were with us, and we did not hurt them, nor was there anything missing from them all the while they were in Carmel.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 25:8 ============ 1Sa 25:8 Ask your young men and they will tell you. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes, for we have come on a festive day. Please give whatever you find at hand to your servants and to your son David.'"(nasb) 1Sa 25:8 Interroga pueros tuos, et indicabunt tibi. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes, for we come on a feast day. Please give whatever comes to your hand to your servants and to your son David.' "(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 25:9 ============ 1Sa 25:9 When David's young men came, they spoke to Nabal according to all these words in David's name; then they waited.(nasb) 1Sa 25:9 Cumque venissent pueri David, locuti sunt ad Nabal omnia verba hæc ex nomine David: et siluerunt.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 25:9 Y cuando llegaron los jóvenes de David, dijeron a Nabal todas estas palabras en nombre de David, y callaron.(E) 1 Samuel 25:9 Lorsque les gens de David furent arrivés, ils répétèrent à Nabal toutes ces paroles, au nom de David. And who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants today who are each breaking away from his master.(nasb) 1Sa 25:10 Respondens autem Nabal pueris David, ait: Quis est David? et quis est filius Isai? hodie increverunt servi qui fugiunt dominos suos.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 25:10 Y Nabal respondió a los jóvenes de David, y dijo: ¿Quién [es] David? ¿Y quién [es] el hijo de Isaí? So each man girded on his sword. And David also girded on his sword, and about four hundred men went up behind David while two hundred stayed with the baggage.(nasb) 1Sa 25:13 Tunc ait David pueris suis: Accingatur unusquisque gladio suo. Et accincti sunt singuli gladiis suis, accinctusque est et David ense suo: et secuti sunt David quasi quadringenti viri: porro ducenti remanserunt ad sarcinas.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 25:13 Entonces David dijo a sus hombres: Cíñase cada uno su espada. Y se ciñó cada uno su espada: también David ciñó su espada; y subieron tras David como cuatrocientos hombres, y dejaron doscientos con el bagaje.(E) 1 Samuel 25:13 Alors David dit à ses gens: Que chacun de vous ceigne son épée! Et ils ceignirent chacun leur épée. David aussi ceignit son épée, et environ quatre cents hommes montèrent à sa suite. So every man girded on his sword, and David also girded on his sword.
