What shall I give you?"(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 3:6 ============ 1Ki 3:6 Then Solomon said, "You have shown great lovingkindness to Your servant David my father, according as he walked before You in truth and righteousness and uprightness of heart toward You; and You have reserved for him this great lovingkindness, that You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.(nasb) 1Ki 3:6 Et ait Salomon: Tu fecisti cum servo tuo David patre meo misericordiam magnam, sicut ambulavit in conspectu tuo in veritate et justitia, et recto corde tecum: custodisti ei misericordiam tuam grandem, et dedisti ei filium sedentem super thronum ejus, sicut est hodie.(vulgate) 1 Reyes 3:6 Y Salomón dijo: Tú hiciste gran misericordia a tu siervo David mi padre, según que él anduvo delante de ti en verdad, en justicia, y con rectitud de corazón para contigo; y tú le has conservado esta tu grande misericordia, que le diste hijo que se sentase en su trono, como [sucede] en este día.(E) 1 Rois 3:6 Salomon répondit: Tu as traité avec une grande bienveillance ton serviteur David, mon père, parce qu'il marchait en ta présence dans la fidélité, dans la justice, et dans la droiture de coeur envers toi; tu lui as conservé cette grande bienveillance, et tu lui as donné un fils qui est assis sur son trône, comme on le voit aujourd'hui.(F) 1Ki 3:6 Salomo sprach: Du hast an meinem Vater David, deinem Knecht, große Barmherzigkeit getan, wie er denn vor dir gewandelt ist in Wahrheit und Gerechtigkeit und mit richtigem Herzen vor dir, und hast ihm diese große Barmherzigkeit gehalten und ihm einen Sohn gegeben, der auf seinem Stuhl säße, wie es denn jetzt geht.(D) 1Ki 3:6 καὶ εἶπεν Σαλωμων σὺ ἐποίησας μετὰ τοῦ δούλου σου Δαυιδ τοῦ πατρός μου ἔλεος μέγα καθὼς διῆλθεν ἐνώπιόν σου ἐν ἀληθείᾳ καὶ ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ καὶ ἐν εὐθύτητι καρδίας μετὰ σοῦ καὶ ἐφύλαξας αὐτῷ τὸ ἔλεος τὸ μέγα τοῦτο δοῦναι τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου αὐτοῦ ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη(lxx) 1Ki 3:6 And Solomon said: "You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 3:7 ============ 1Ki 3:7 Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king in place of my father David, yet I am but a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.(nasb) 1Ki 3:7 Et nunc Domine Deus, tu regnare fecisti servum tuum pro David patre meo: ego autem sum puer parvulus, et ignorans egressum et introitum meum.(vulgate) 1 Reyes 3:7 Ahora pues, Jehová Dios mío, tú has puesto a mí tu siervo por rey en lugar de David mi padre; y yo [no soy sino] un joven, y no sé [cómo] entrar ni salir.(E) 1 Rois 3:7 Maintenant, Eternel mon Dieu, tu as fait régner ton serviteur à la place de David, mon père; et moi je ne suis qu'un jeune homme, je n'ai point d'expérience.(F) 1Ki 3:7 Nun, HERR, mein Gott, du hast deinen Knecht zum König gemacht an meines Vaters David Statt. So bin ich ein junger Knabe, weiß weder meinen Ausgang noch Eingang.(D) 1Ki 3:7 καὶ νῦν κύριε ὁ θεός μου σὺ ἔδωκας τὸν δοῦλόν σου ἀντὶ Δαυιδ τοῦ πατρός μου καὶ ἐγώ εἰμι παιδάριον μικρὸν καὶ οὐκ οἶδα τὴν ἔξοδόν μου καὶ τὴν εἴσοδόν μου(lxx) 1Ki 3:7 Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 3:8 ============ 1Ki 3:8 Your servant is in the midst of Your people which You have chosen, a great people who are too many to be numbered or counted.(nasb) 1Ki 3:8 Et servus tuus in medio est populi quem elegisti, populi infiniti, qui numerari et supputari non potest præ multitudine.(vulgate) 1 Reyes 3:8 Y tu siervo [está] en medio de tu pueblo al cual tú escogiste; un pueblo grande, que no se puede contar ni numerar por [su] multitud.(E) 1 Rois 3:8 Ton serviteur est au milieu du peuple que tu as choisi, peuple immense, qui ne peut être ni compté ni nombré, à cause de sa multitude.(F) 1Ki 3:8 Und dein Knecht ist unter dem Volk, das du erwählt hast, einem Volke, so groß das es niemand zählen noch beschreiben kann vor der Menge.(D) 1Ki 3:8 ὁ δὲ δοῦλός σου ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ λαοῦ σου ὃν ἐξελέξω λαὸν πολύν ὃς οὐκ ἀριθμηθήσεται(lxx) 1Ki 3:8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 3:9 ============ 1Ki 3:9 So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?"(nasb) 1Ki 3:9 Dabis ergo servo tuo cor docile, ut populum tuum judicare possit, et discernere inter bonum et malum. Quis enim poterit judicare populum istum, populum tuum hunc multum?~(vulgate) 1 Reyes 3:9 Da, pues, a tu siervo corazón entendido para juzgar a tu pueblo, para discernir entre lo bueno y lo malo; porque ¿quién podrá gobernar este tu pueblo tan grande?(E) 1 Rois 3:9 Accorde donc à ton serviteur un coeur intelligent pour juger ton peuple, pour discerner le bien du mal! Car qui pourrait juger ton peuple, ce peuple si nombreux?(F) 1Ki 3:9 So wollest du deinem Knecht geben ein gehorsames Herz, daß er dein Volk richten möge und verstehen, was gut und böse ist. Denn wer vermag dies dein mächtiges Volk zu richten?(D) 1Ki 3:9 καὶ δώσεις τῷ δούλῳ σου καρδίαν ἀκούειν καὶ διακρίνειν τὸν λαόν σου ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ τοῦ συνίειν ἀνὰ μέσον ἀγαθοῦ καὶ κακοῦ ὅτι τίς δυνήσεται κρίνειν τὸν λαόν σου τὸν βαρὺν τοῦτον(lxx) 1Ki 3:9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?"(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 3:10 ============ 1Ki 3:10 It was pleasing in the sight of the Lord that Solomon had asked this thing.(nasb) 1Ki 3:10 Placuit ergo sermo coram Domino, quod Salomon postulasset hujuscemodi rem.(vulgate) 1 Reyes 3:10 Y agradó delante del Señor que Salomón pidiese esto.(E) 1 Rois 3:10 Cette demande de Salomon plut au Seigneur.(F) 1Ki 3:10 Das gefiel dem HERRN wohl, daß Salomo um ein solches bat.(D) 1Ki 3:10 καὶ ἤρεσεν ἐνώπιον κυρίου ὅτι ᾐτήσατο Σαλωμων τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο(lxx) 1Ki 3:10 The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 3:11 ============ 1Ki 3:11 God said to him, "Because you have asked this thing and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice,(nasb) 1Ki 3:11 Et dixit Dominus Salomoni: Quia postulasti verbum hoc, et non petisti tibi dies multos, nec divitias, aut animas inimicorum tuorum, sed postulasti tibi sapientiam ad discernendum judicium:(vulgate) 1 Reyes 3:11 Y le dijo Dios: Porque has pedido esto, y no pediste para ti larga vida, ni pediste para ti riquezas, ni pediste la vida de tus enemigos, sino que pediste para ti inteligencia para oír juicio;(E) 1 Rois 3:11 Et Dieu lui dit: Puisque c'est là ce que tu demandes, puisque tu ne demandes pour toi ni une longue vie, ni les richesses, ni la mort de tes ennemis, et que tu demandes de l'intelligence pour exercer la justice,(F) 1Ki 3:11 Und Gott sprach zu ihm: Weil du solches bittest und bittest nicht um langes Leben noch um Reichtum noch um deiner Feinde Seele, sondern um Verstand, Gericht zu hören,(D) 1Ki 3:11 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς αὐτόν ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ᾐτήσω παρ᾽ ἐμοῦ τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο καὶ οὐκ ᾐτήσω σαυτῷ ἡμέρας πολλὰς καὶ οὐκ ᾐτήσω πλοῦτον οὐδὲ ᾐτήσω ψυχὰς ἐχθρῶν σου ἀλλ᾽ ᾐτήσω σαυτῷ σύνεσιν τοῦ εἰσακούειν κρίμα(lxx) 1Ki 3:11 Then God said to him: "Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice,(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 3:12 ============ 1Ki 3:12 behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you.(nasb) 1Ki 3:12 ecce feci tibi secundum sermones tuos, et dedi tibi cor sapiens et intelligens, in tantum ut nullus ante te similis tui fuerit, nec post te surrecturus sit.(vulgate) 1 Reyes 3:12 he aquí he hecho conforme a tus palabras; he aquí que te he dado corazón sabio y entendido, tanto que no haya habido antes de ti otro como tú, ni después de ti se levantará otro como tú.(E) 1 Rois 3:12 voici, j'agirai selon ta parole. Je te donnerai un coeur sage et intelligent, de telle sorte qu'il n'y aura eu personne avant toi et qu'on ne verra jamais personne de semblable à toi.(F) 1Ki 3:12 siehe, so habe ich getan nach deinen Worten. Siehe, ich habe dir ein weises und verständiges Herz gegeben, daß deinesgleichen vor dir nicht gewesen ist und nach dir nicht aufkommen wird.(D) 1Ki 3:12 ἰδοὺ πεποίηκα κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμά σου ἰδοὺ δέδωκά σοι καρδίαν φρονίμην καὶ σοφήν ὡς σὺ οὐ γέγονεν ἔμπροσθέν σου καὶ μετὰ σὲ οὐκ ἀναστήσεται ὅμοιός σοι(lxx) 1Ki 3:12 behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 3:13 ============ 1Ki 3:13 I have also given you what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there will not be any among the kings like you all your days.(nasb) 1Ki 3:13 Sed et hæc quæ non postulasti, dedi tibi: divitias scilicet, et gloriam, ut nemo fuerit similis tui in regibus cunctis retro diebus.(vulgate) 1 Reyes 3:13 Y aun también te he dado las cosas que no pediste, riquezas y gloria, de tal manera que entre los reyes ninguno haya como tú en todos tus días.(E) 1 Rois 3:13 Je te donnerai, en outre, ce que tu n'as pas demandé, des richesses et de la gloire, de telle sorte qu'il n'y aura pendant toute ta vie aucun roi qui soit ton pareil.(F) 1Ki 3:13 Dazu, was du nicht gebeten hast, habe ich dir auch gegeben, sowohl Reichtum als Ehre, daß deinesgleichen keiner unter den Königen ist zu deinen Zeiten.(D) 1Ki 3:13 καὶ ἃ οὐκ ᾐτήσω δέδωκά σοι καὶ πλοῦτον καὶ δόξαν ὡς οὐ γέγονεν ἀνὴρ ὅμοιός σοι ἐν βασιλεῦσιν(lxx) 1Ki 3:13 And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 3:14 ============ 1Ki 3:14 If you walk in My ways, keeping My statutes and commandments, as your father David walked, then I will prolong your days."(nasb) 1Ki 3:14 Si autem ambulaveris in viis meis, et custodieris præcepta mea et mandata mea, sicut ambulavit pater tuus, longos faciam dies tuos.(vulgate) 1 Reyes 3:14 Y si anduvieres en mis caminos, guardando mis estatutos y mis mandamientos, como anduvo David tu padre, yo alargaré tus días.(E) 1 Rois 3:14 Et si tu marches dans mes voies, en observant mes lois et mes commandements, comme l'a fait David, ton père, je prolongerai tes jours.(F) 1Ki 3:14 Und so du wirst in meinen Wegen wandeln, daß du hältst meine Sitten und Gebote, wie dein Vater David gewandelt hat, so will ich dir geben ein langes Leben.(D) 1Ki 3:14 καὶ ἐὰν πορευθῇς ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ μου φυλάσσειν τὰς ἐντολάς μου καὶ τὰ προστάγματά μου ὡς ἐπορεύθη Δαυιδ ὁ πατήρ σου καὶ πληθυνῶ τὰς ἡμέρας σου(lxx) 1Ki 3:14 So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days."(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 3:15 ============ 1Ki 3:15 Then Solomon awoke, and behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and made peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.(nasb) 1Ki 3:15 Igitur evigilavit Salomon, et intellexit quod esset somnium: cumque venisset Jerusalem, stetit coram arca fœderis Domini, et obtulit holocausta, et fecit victimas pacificas, et grande convivium universis famulis suis.~(vulgate) 1 Reyes 3:15 Y cuando Salomón despertó, vio que era sueño. Y vino a Jerusalén, y se presentó delante del arca del pacto de Jehová, y sacrificó holocaustos, e hizo ofrendas de paz; hizo también banquete a todos sus siervos.(E) 1 Rois 3:15 Salomon s'éveilla. Et voilà le songe. Salomon revint à Jérusalem, et se présenta devant l'arche de l'alliance de l'Eternel. Il offrit des holocaustes et des sacrifices d'actions de grâces, et il fit un festin à tous ses serviteurs.(F) 1Ki 3:15 Und da Salomo erwachte, siehe, da war es ein Traum. Und er kam gen Jerusalem und trat vor die Lade des Bundes des HERRN und opferte Brandopfer und Dankopfer und machte ein großes Mahl allen seinen Knechten.(D) 1Ki 3:15 καὶ ἐξυπνίσθη Σαλωμων καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐνύπνιον καὶ ἀνέστη καὶ παραγίνεται εἰς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἔστη κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τοῦ κατὰ πρόσωπον κιβωτοῦ διαθήκης κυρίου ἐν Σιων καὶ ἀνήγαγεν ὁλοκαυτώσεις καὶ ἐποίησεν εἰρηνικὰς καὶ ἐποίησεν πότον μέγαν ἑαυτῷ καὶ πᾶσιν τοῖς παισὶν αὐτοῦ(lxx) 1Ki 3:15 Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream.
