But Elisha said, "As the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." Elisée répondit: L'Eternel est vivant et ton âme est vivante! je ne te quitterai point. Elisa aber sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt und deine Seele, ich verlasse dich nicht. But Elisha said, "As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!" And Elisha said, "Please, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me."(nasb) 2Ki 2:9 Cumque transissent, Elias dixit ad Eliseum: Postula quod vis ut faciam tibi, antequam tollar a te. Dixitque Eliseus: Obsecro ut fiat in me duplex spiritus tuus.(vulgate) 2 Reyes 2:9 Y sucedió que cuando habían pasado, Elías dijo a Eliseo: Pide lo que quieres que haga por ti, antes que sea quitado de tu lado. What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?" Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so."(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 2:11 ============ 2Ki 2:11 As they were going along and talking, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire which separated the two of them. And he saw Elijah no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.(nasb) 2Ki 2:12 Eliseus autem videbat, et clamabat: Pater mi, pater mi, currus Israël, et auriga ejus. Et non vidit eum amplius: apprehenditque vestimenta sua, et scidit illa in duas partes.(vulgate) 2 Reyes 2:12 Y viéndolo Eliseo, clamaba: ¡Padre mío, padre mío, carro de Israel y su gente de a caballo! So he saw him no more.
