Et le royaume fut en repos devant lui.(F) 2Ch 14:5 Und er tat weg aus allen Städten Juda's die Höhen und die Sonnensäulen; denn das Königreich war still vor ihm.(D) 2Ch 14:5 καὶ ἀπέστησεν ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν πόλεων Ιουδα τὰ θυσιαστήρια καὶ τὰ εἴδωλα καὶ εἰρήνευσεν(lxx) 2Ch 14:5 He also removed the high places and the incense altars from all the cities of Judah, and the kingdom was quiet under him.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 14:6 ============ 2Ch 14:6 He built fortified cities in Judah, since the land was undisturbed, and there was no one at war with him during those years, because the Lord had given him rest.(nasb) 2Ch 14:6 Ædificavit quoque urbes munitas in Juda, quia quietus erat, et nulla temporibus ejus bella surrexerant, pacem Domino largiente.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 14:6 Y edificó ciudades fortificadas en Judá, por cuanto había paz en la tierra, y no había guerra contra él en aquellos años; porque Jehová le había dado reposo.(E) 2 Chroniques 14:6 Il bâtit des villes fortes en Juda; car le pays fut tranquille et il n'y eut pas de guerre contre lui pendant ces années-là, parce que l'Eternel lui donna du repos.(F) 2Ch 14:6 Und er baute feste Städte in Juda, weil das Land still und kein Streit wider ihn war in denselben Jahren; denn der HERR gab ihm Ruhe.(D) 2Ch 14:6 πόλεις τειχήρεις ἐν γῇ Ιουδα ὅτι εἰρήνευσεν ἡ γῆ καὶ οὐκ ἦν αὐτῷ πόλεμος ἐν τοῖς ἔτεσιν τούτοις ὅτι κατέπαυσεν αὐτῷ κύριος(lxx) 2Ch 14:6 And he built fortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest; he had no war in those years, because the Lord had given him rest.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 14:7 ============ 2Ch 14:7 For he said to Judah, "Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side." So they built and prospered.(nasb) 2Ch 14:7 Dixit autem Judæ: Ædificemus civitates istas, et vallemus muris, et roboremus turribus, et portis, et seris, donec a bellis quieta sunt omnia, eo quod quæsierimus Dominum Deum patrum nostrorum, et dederit nobis pacem per gyrum. Ædificaverunt igitur, et nullum in exstruendo impedimentum fuit.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 14:7 Dijo por tanto a Judá: Edifiquemos estas ciudades, y cerquémoslas de muros con torres, puertas y barras, ya que la tierra [es] nuestra; porque hemos buscado a Jehová nuestro Dios; le hemos buscado, y Él nos ha dado reposo de todas partes. Edificaron, pues, y fueron prosperados.(E) 2 Chroniques 14:7 Il dit à Juda: Bâtissons ces villes, et entourons-les de murs, de tours, de portes et de barres; le pays est encore devant nous, car nous avons recherché l'Eternel, notre Dieu, nous l'avons recherché, et il nous a donné du repos de tous côtés. Ils bâtirent donc, et réussirent.(F) 2Ch 14:7 Und er sprach zu Juda: Laßt uns diese Städte bauen und Mauern darumher führen und Türme, Türen und Riegel, weil das Land noch offen vor uns ist; denn wir haben den HERRN, unsern Gott, gesucht, und er hat uns Ruhe gegeben umher. Also bauten sie, und es ging glücklich vonstatten.(D) 2Ch 14:7 καὶ εἶπεν τῷ Ιουδα οἰκοδομήσωμεν τὰς πόλεις ταύτας καὶ ποιήσωμεν τείχη καὶ πύργους καὶ πύλας καὶ μοχλοὺς ἐν ᾧ τῆς γῆς κυριεύσομεν ὅτι καθὼς ἐξεζητήσαμεν κύριον θεὸν ἡμῶν ἐξεζήτησεν ἡμᾶς καὶ κατέπαυσεν ἡμᾶς κυκλόθεν καὶ εὐόδωσεν ἡμῖν(lxx) 2Ch 14:7 Therefore he said to Judah, "Let us build these cities and make walls around them, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us, because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side." O Lord, You are our God; let not man prevail against You."(nasb) 2Ch 14:11 et invocavit Dominum Deum, et ait: Domine, non est apud te ulla distantia, utrum in paucis auxilieris, an in pluribus. Adjuva nos, Domine Deus noster: in te enim, et in tuo nomine habentes fiduciam, venimus contra hanc multitudinem. Domine, Deus noster tu es: non prævaleat contra te homo.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 14:11 Y clamó Asa a Jehová su Dios, y dijo: Jehová, no [es] gran cosa para ti ayudar al poderoso así como al que no tiene fuerza. Ayúdanos, oh Jehová Dios nuestro, porque en ti nos apoyamos y en tu nombre venimos contra este ejército. Oh Jehová, tú [eres] nuestro Dios; no prevalezca contra ti el hombre.(E) 2 Chroniques 14:11 Asa invoqua l'Eternel, son Dieu, et dit: Eternel, toi seul peux venir en aide au faible comme au fort: viens à notre aide, Eternel, notre Dieu! car c'est sur toi que nous nous appuyons, et nous sommes venus en ton nom contre cette multitude. Eternel, tu es notre Dieu: que ce ne soit pas l'homme qui l'emporte sur toi!(F) 2Ch 14:11 Und Asa rief an den HERRN, seinen Gott, und sprach: HERR, es ist bei dir kein Unterschied, zu helfen unter vielen oder da keine Kraft ist. Hilf uns, HERR, unser Gott; denn wir verlassen uns auf dich, und in deinem Namen sind wir gekommen wider diese Menge. HERR, unser Gott, wider dich vermag kein Mensch etwas.(D) 2Ch 14:11 καὶ ἐβόησεν Ασα πρὸς κύριον θεὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν κύριε οὐκ ἀδυνατεῖ παρὰ σοὶ σῴζειν ἐν πολλοῖς καὶ ἐν ὀλίγοις κατίσχυσον ἡμᾶς κύριε ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ὅτι ἐπὶ σοὶ πεποίθαμεν καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί σου ἤλθαμεν ἐπὶ τὸ πλῆθος τὸ πολὺ τοῦτο κύριε ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν μὴ κατισχυσάτω πρὸς σὲ ἄνθρωπος(lxx) 2Ch 14:11 And Asa cried out to the Lord his God, and said, "Lord, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. And they carried away very much plunder.(nasb) 2Ch 14:13 Et persecutus est eos Asa, et populus qui cum eo erat, usque Gerara: et ruerunt Æthiopes usque ad internecionem, quia Domino cædente contriti sunt, et exercitu illius præliante. Tulerunt ergo spolia multa,(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 14:13 Y Asa, y el pueblo que [estaba] con él, los persiguieron hasta Gerar; y cayeron los etíopes hasta no quedar en ellos aliento; porque fueron deshechos delante de Jehová y de su ejército. Y les tomaron muy grande botín.(E) 2 Chroniques 14:13 Asa et le peuple qui était avec lui les poursuivirent jusqu'à Guérar, et les Ethiopiens tombèrent sans pouvoir sauver leur vie, car ils furent détruits par l'Eternel et par son armée. Asa et son peuple firent un très grand butin;(F) 2Ch 14:13 Und Asa samt dem Volk, das bei ihm war, jagte ihnen nach bis gen Gerar. Und die Mohren fielen, daß ihrer keiner lebendig blieb; sondern sie wurden geschlagen vor dem HERRN und vor seinem Heerlager. Und sie trugen sehr viel Raub davon.(D) 2Ch 14:13 καὶ κατεδίωξεν Ασα καὶ ὁ λαὸς αὐτοῦ ἕως Γεδωρ καὶ ἔπεσον Αἰθίοπες ὥστε μὴ εἶναι ἐν αὐτοῖς περιποίησιν ὅτι συνετρίβησαν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἐναντίον τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐσκύλευσαν σκῦλα πολλά(lxx) 2Ch 14:13 And Asa and the people who were with him pursued them to Gerar. So the Ethiopians were overthrown, and they could not recover, for they were broken before the Lord and His army. And they carried away very much spoil.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 14:14 ============ 2Ch 14:14 They destroyed all the cities around Gerar, for the dread of the Lord had fallen on them; and they despoiled all the cities, for there was much plunder in them.(nasb) 2Ch 14:14 et percusserunt civitates omnes per circuitum Geraræ: grandis quippe cunctos terror invaserat: et diripuerunt urbes, et multam prædam asportaverunt.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 14:14 Y derrotaron también a todas las ciudades de alrededor de Gerar, porque el terror de Jehová vino sobre ellos; y saquearon todas las ciudades, porque había en ellas gran botín.(E) 2 Chroniques 14:14 ils frappèrent toutes les villes des environs de Guérar, car la terreur de l'Eternel s'était emparée d'elles, et ils pillèrent toutes les villes, dont les dépouilles furent considérables.(F) 2Ch 14:14 Und er schlug alle Städte um Gerar her; denn die Furcht des HERRN kam über sie. Und sie beraubten alle Städte; denn es war viel Raub darin.(D) 2Ch 14:14 καὶ ἐξέκοψαν τὰς κώμας αὐτῶν κύκλῳ Γεδωρ ὅτι ἐγενήθη ἔκστασις κυρίου ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς καὶ ἐσκύλευσαν πάσας τὰς πόλεις αὐτῶν ὅτι πολλὰ σκῦλα ἐγενήθη αὐτοῖς(lxx) 2Ch 14:14 Then they defeated all the cities around Gerar, for the fear of the Lord came upon them; and they plundered all the cities, for there was exceedingly much spoil in them.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 14:15 ============ 2Ch 14:15 They also struck down those who owned livestock, and they carried away large numbers of sheep and camels.
