And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.(nasb) 2Ch 15:2 egressus est in occursum Asa, et dixit ei: Audite me, Asa, et omnis Juda et Benjamin: Dominus vobiscum, quia fuistis cum eo. Der HERR ist mit euch, weil ihr mit ihm seid; und wenn ihr ihn sucht, wird er sich von euch finden lassen. Werdet ihr aber ihn verlassen, so wird er euch auch verlassen.(D) 2Ch 15:2 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν εἰς ἀπάντησιν Ασα καὶ παντὶ Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν καὶ εἶπεν ἀκούσατέ μου Ασα καὶ πᾶς Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν κύριος μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν ἐν τῷ εἶναι ὑμᾶς μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐὰν ἐκζητήσητε αὐτόν εὑρεθήσεται ὑμῖν καὶ ἐὰν ἐγκαταλίπητε αὐτόν ἐγκαταλείψει ὑμᾶς(lxx) 2Ch 15:2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: "Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:3 ============ 2Ch 15:3 For many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law.(nasb) 2Ch 15:3 Transibant autem multi dies in Israël absque Deo vero, et absque sacerdote doctore, et absque lege.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 15:3 Muchos días [ha estado] Israel sin verdadero Dios y sin sacerdote que enseñe, y sin ley:(E) 2 Chroniques 15:3 Pendant longtemps il n'y a eu pour Israël ni vrai Dieu, ni sacrificateur qui enseignât, ni loi.(F) 2Ch 15:3 Es werden aber viel Tage sein in Israel, daß kein rechter Gott, kein Priester, der da lehrt, und kein Gesetz sein wird.(D) 2Ch 15:3 καὶ ἡμέραι πολλαὶ τῷ Ισραηλ ἐν οὐ θεῷ ἀληθινῷ καὶ οὐχ ἱερέως ὑποδεικνύοντος καὶ ἐν οὐ νόμῳ(lxx) 2Ch 15:3 For a long time Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law;(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:4 ============ 2Ch 15:4 But in their distress they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and they sought Him, and He let them find Him.(nasb) 2Ch 15:4 Cumque reversi fuerint in angustia sua ad Dominum Deum Israël, et quæsierint eum, reperient eum.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 15:4 Mas cuando en su tribulación se convirtieron a Jehová Dios de Israel, y le buscaron, Él fue hallado de ellos.(E) 2 Chroniques 15:4 Mais au sein de leur détresse ils sont retournés à l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël, ils l'ont cherché, et ils l'ont trouvé.(F) 2Ch 15:4 Und wenn sie sich bekehren in ihrer Not zum Herrn, dem Gott Israels, und werden ihn suchen, so wird er sich finden lassen.(D) 2Ch 15:4 καὶ ἐπιστρέψει ἐπὶ κύριον θεὸν Ισραηλ καὶ εὑρεθήσεται αὐτοῖς(lxx) 2Ch 15:4 but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:5 ============ 2Ch 15:5 In those times there was no peace to him who went out or to him who came in, for many disturbances afflicted all the inhabitants of the lands.(nasb) 2Ch 15:5 In tempore illo, non erit pax egredienti et ingredienti, sed terrores undique in cunctis habitatoribus terrarum:(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 15:5 En aquellos tiempos no [había] paz, ni para el que entraba ni para el que salía, sino muchas aflicciones sobre todos los habitantes de las tierras.(E) 2 Chroniques 15:5 Dans ces temps-là, point de sécurité pour ceux qui allaient et venaient, car il y avait de grands troubles parmi tous les habitants du pays;(F) 2Ch 15:5 Zu der Zeit wird's nicht wohl gehen dem, der aus und ein geht; denn es werden große Getümmel sein über alle, die auf Erden wohnen.(D) 2Ch 15:5 καὶ ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ οὐκ ἔστιν εἰρήνη τῷ ἐκπορευομένῳ καὶ τῷ εἰσπορευομένῳ ὅτι ἔκστασις κυρίου ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὰς χώρας(lxx) 2Ch 15:5 And in those times there was no peace to the one who went out, nor to the one who came in, but great turmoil was on all the inhabitants of the lands.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:6 ============ 2Ch 15:6 Nation was crushed by nation, and city by city, for God troubled them with every kind of distress.(nasb) 2Ch 15:6 pugnavit enim gens contra gentem, et civitas contra civitatem, quia Dominus conturbabit eos in omni angustia.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 15:6 Y una nación destruía a otra nación, y una ciudad a otra ciudad; porque Dios los turbó con toda clase de calamidades.(E) 2 Chroniques 15:6 on se heurtait peuple contre peuple, ville contre ville, parce que Dieu les agitait par toutes sortes d'angoisses.(F) 2Ch 15:6 Denn ein Volk wird das andere zerschlagen und eine Stadt die andere; denn Gott wird sie erschrecken mit allerlei Angst.(D) 2Ch 15:6 καὶ πολεμήσει ἔθνος πρὸς ἔθνος καὶ πόλις πρὸς πόλιν ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ἐξέστησεν αὐτοὺς ἐν πάσῃ θλίψει(lxx) 2Ch 15:6 So nation was destroyed by nation, and city by city, for God troubled them with every adversity.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:7 ============ 2Ch 15:7 But you, be strong and do not lose courage, for there is reward for your work."(nasb) 2Ch 15:7 Vos ergo confortamini, et non dissolvantur manus vestræ: erit enim merces operi vestro.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 15:7 Pero esforzaos vosotros, y no desfallezcan vuestras manos; que recompensa hay para vuestra obra.(E) 2 Chroniques 15:7 Vous donc, fortifiez-vous, et ne laissez pas vos mains s'affaiblir, car il y aura un salaire pour vos oeuvres.(F) 2Ch 15:7 Ihr aber seid getrost und tut eure Hände nicht ab; denn euer Werk hat seinen Lohn.(D) 2Ch 15:7 καὶ ὑμεῖς ἰσχύσατε καὶ μὴ ἐκλυέσθωσαν αἱ χεῖρες ὑμῶν ὅτι ἔστιν μισθὸς τῇ ἐργασίᾳ ὑμῶν(lxx) 2Ch 15:7 But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!"(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:8 ============ 2Ch 15:8 Now when Asa heard these words and the prophecy which Azariah the son of Oded the prophet spoke, he took courage and removed the abominable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. He then restored the altar of the Lord which was in front of the porch of the Lord.(nasb) 2Ch 15:8 Quod cum audisset Asa, verba scilicet, et prophetiam Azariæ filii Oded prophetæ, confortatus est, et abstulit idola de omni terra Juda et de Benjamin, et ex urbibus quas ceperat, montis Ephraim: et dedicavit altare Domini quod erat ante porticum Domini.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 15:8 Y cuando Asa oyó estas palabras y la profecía del profeta Oded, cobró ánimo, y quitó los ídolos abominables de toda la tierra de Judá y de Benjamín, y de las ciudades que él había tomado en el monte de Efraín; y reparó el altar de Jehová que [estaba] delante del pórtico de Jehová.(E) 2 Chroniques 15:8 Après avoir entendu ces paroles et la prophétie d'Obed le prophète, Asa se fortifia et fit disparaître les abominations de tout le pays de Juda et de Benjamin et des villes qu'il avait prises dans la montagne d'Ephraïm, et il restaura l'autel de l'Eternel qui était devant le portique de l'Eternel.(F) 2Ch 15:8 Da aber Asa hörte diese Worte und die Weissagung Odeds, des Propheten, ward er getrost und tat weg die Greuel aus dem ganzen Lande Juda und Benjamin uns aus den Städten, die er gewonnen hatte auf dem Gebirge Ephraim, und erneuerte den Altar des HERRN, der vor der Halle des HERRN stand,(D) 2Ch 15:8 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἀκοῦσαι τοὺς λόγους τούτους καὶ τὴν προφητείαν Αδαδ τοῦ προφήτου καὶ κατίσχυσεν καὶ ἐξέβαλεν τὰ βδελύγματα ἀπὸ πάσης τῆς γῆς Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πόλεων ὧν κατέσχεν ἐν ὄρει Εφραιμ καὶ ἐνεκαίνισεν τὸ θυσιαστήριον κυρίου ὃ ἦν ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ ναοῦ κυρίου(lxx) 2Ch 15:8 And when Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and removed the abominable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had taken in the mountains of Ephraim; and he restored the altar of the Lord that was before the vestibule of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:9 ============ 2Ch 15:9 He gathered all Judah and Benjamin and those from Ephraim, Manasseh and Simeon who resided with them, for many defected to him from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.(nasb) 2Ch 15:9 Congregavitque universum Judam et Benjamin, et advenas cum eis de Ephraim, et de Manasse, et de Simeon: plures enim ad eum confugerant ex Israël, videntes quod Dominus Deus illius esset cum eo.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 15:9 Y reunió a todo Judá y Benjamín, y con ellos a los extranjeros de Efraín, de Manasés y de Simeón; porque muchos de Israel se habían pasado a él, viendo que Jehová su Dios [era] con él.(E) 2 Chroniques 15:9 Il rassembla tout Juda et Benjamin, et ceux d'Ephraïm, de Manassé et de Siméon qui habitaient parmi eux, car un grand nombre de gens d'Israël se joignirent à lui lorsqu'ils virent que l'Eternel, son Dieu, était avec lui.(F) 2Ch 15:9 und versammelte das ganze Juda und Benjamin und die Fremdlinge bei ihnen aus Ephraim, Manasse und Simeon. Denn es fielen zu ihm aus Israel die Menge, als sie sahen, daß der HERR, sein Gott, mit ihm war.(D) 2Ch 15:9 καὶ ἐξεκκλησίασεν τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ Βενιαμιν καὶ τοὺς προσηλύτους τοὺς παροικοῦντας μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ Εφραιμ καὶ ἀπὸ Μανασση καὶ ἀπὸ Συμεων ὅτι προσετέθησαν πρὸς αὐτὸν πολλοὶ τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐν τῷ ἰδεῖν αὐτοὺς ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτοῦ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ(lxx) 2Ch 15:9 Then he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those who dwelt with them from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon, for they came over to him in great numbers from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:10 ============ 2Ch 15:10 So they assembled at Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa's reign.(nasb) 2Ch 15:10 Cumque venissent in Jerusalem mense tertio, anno decimoquinto regni 15:11 ============ 2Ch 15:11 They sacrificed to the Lord that day 700 oxen and 7,000 sheep from the spoil they had brought.(nasb) 2Ch 15:11 immolaverunt Domino in die illa de manubiis et præda quam covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:13 ============ 2Ch 15:13 and whoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.(nasb) 2Ch 15:13 Si quis autem, inquit, non quæsierit Dominum Deum Israël, moriatur, a minimo usque ad maximum, a viro usque ad was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:14 ============ 2Ch 15:14 Moreover, they made an oath to the Lord with a loud voice, with shouting, took an oath before the Lord with a loud voice, with shouting and trumpets and rams' horns.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:15 ============ 2Ch 15:15 All Judah rejoiced concerning the oath, for they had sworn with their whole heart and had sought Him earnestly, and He let them find Him. Und er ließ sich finden, und der HERR gab ihnen Ruhe umher.(D) 2Ch 15:15 καὶ ηὐφράνθησαν πᾶς Ιουδα περὶ τοῦ ὅρκου ὅτι ἐξ ὅλης τῆς ψυχῆς ὤμοσαν καὶ ἐν πάσῃ θελήσει ἐζήτησαν αὐτόν καὶ εὑρέθη αὐτοῖς καὶ κατέπαυσεν αὐτοῖς κύριος κυκλόθεν(lxx) 2Ch 15:15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and sought Him with all their soul; and He was found by them, and the Lord gave them rest all around.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:16 ============ 2Ch 15:16 He also removed Maacah, the mother of King Asa, from the position of queen mother, because she had made a horrid image as an Asherah, and Asa cut down her horrid image, crushed it and burned it at the brook Kidron.(nasb) 2Ch 15:16 Sed et Maacham matrem Asa regis ex augusto deposuit imperio, eo quod fecisset in luco simulacrum Priapi: quod omne contrivit, et in frustra comminuens combussit in torrente Cedron.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 15:16 Y aun a Maaca, madre del rey Asa, él mismo la quitó de [ser] reina, porque había hecho una imagen de Asera; y Asa deshizo la imagen y [la] desmenuzó y [la] quemó junto al torrente de Cedrón.(E) 2 Chroniques 15:16 Le roi Asa enleva même à Maaca, sa mère, la dignité de reine, parce qu'elle avait fait une idole pour Astarté. Und Asa rottete ihr Greuelbild aus und zerstieß es und verbrannte es am Bach Kidron.(D) 2Ch 15:16 καὶ τὴν Μααχα τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ μετέστησεν τοῦ μὴ εἶναι τῇ Ἀστάρτῃ λειτουργοῦσαν καὶ κατέκοψεν τὸ εἴδωλον καὶ κατέκαυσεν ἐν χειμάρρῳ Κεδρων(lxx) 2Ch 15:16 Also he removed Maachah, the mother of Asa the king, from being queen mother, because she had made an obscene image of Asherah; and Asa cut down her obscene image, then crushed and burned it by the Brook Kidron.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 15:17 ============ 2Ch 15:17 But the high places were not removed from Israel; nevertheless Asa's heart was blameless all his days.(nasb) 2Ch 15:17 Excelsa autem derelicta sunt in Israël: attamen cor Asa erat perfectum cunctis diebus ejus,(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 15:17 Mas con todo eso los lugares altos no fueron quitados de Israel, aunque el corazón de Asa fue perfecto en todos sus días.(E) 2 Chroniques 15:17 Mais les hauts lieux ne disparurent point d'Israël, quoique le coeur d'Asa fût en entier à l'Eternel pendant toute sa vie.(F) 2Ch 15:17 Aber die Höhen in Israel wurden nicht abgetan; doch war das Herz Asas rechtschaffen sein Leben lang.(D) 2Ch 15:17 πλὴν τὰ ὑψηλὰ οὐκ ἀπέστησαν ἔτι ὑπῆρχεν ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ ἀλλ᾽ ἢ καρδία Ασα ἐγένετο πλήρης πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας αὐτοῦ(lxx) 2Ch 15:17 But the high places were not removed from Israel.
