Today's Date: ======= 2 Chronicles 22:1 ============ 2Ch 22:1 Then the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah, his youngest son, king in his place, for the band of men who came with the Arabs to the camp had slain all the older sons. But the Arameans wounded Joram.(nasb) 2Ch 22:5 ambulavitque in consiliis eorum. And Ahaziah, the son of Jehoram king of Judah, went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.(nasb) 2Ch 22:6 Qui reversus est ut curaretur in Jezrahel: multas enim plagas acceperat in supradicto certamine. Azaria, fils de Joram, roi de Juda, descendit pour voir Joram, fils d'Achab, à Jizreel, parce qu'il était malade.(F) 2Ch 22:6 daß er umkehrte, sich heilen zu lassen zu Jesreel; denn er hatte Wunden, die ihm geschlagen waren zu Rama, da er stritt mit Hasael, dem König von Syrien. Und Ahasja, der Sohn Jorams, der König Juda's, zog hinab, zu besuchen Joram, den Sohn Ahabs, zu Jesreel, der krank lag.(D) 2Ch 22:6 καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν Ιωραμ τοῦ ἰατρευθῆναι εἰς Ιεζραελ ἀπὸ τῶν πληγῶν ὧν ἐπάταξαν αὐτὸν οἱ Σύροι ἐν Ραμα ἐν τῷ πολεμεῖν αὐτὸν πρὸς Αζαηλ βασιλέα Συρίας καὶ Οχοζιας υἱὸς Ιωραμ βασιλεὺς Ιουδα κατέβη θεάσασθαι τὸν Ιωραμ υἱὸν Αχααβ εἰς Ιεζραελ ὅτι ἠρρώστει(lxx) 2Ch 22:6 Then he returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds which he had received at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Azariah the son of Jehoram, king of Judah, went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 22:7 ============ 2Ch 22:7 Now the destruction of Ahaziah was from God, in that he went to Joram. For when he came, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.(nasb) 2Ch 22:7 Voluntatis quippe fuit Dei adversus Ochoziam, ut veniret ad Joram: et cum venisset, et egrederetur cum eo adversum Jehu filium Namsi, quem unxit Dominus ut deleret domum Achab.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 22:7 Pero esto venía de Dios, para que Ocozías fuese hollado viniendo a Joram; porque cuando vino, salió con Joram contra Jehú, hijo de Nimsi, al cual Jehová había ungido para que cortase la casa de Acab.(E) 2 Chroniques 22:7 Par la volonté de Dieu, ce fut pour sa ruine qu'Achazia se rendit auprès de Joram. Lorsqu'il fut arrivé, il sortit avec Joram pour aller au-devant de Jéhu, fils de Nimschi, que l'Eternel avait oint pour exterminer la maison d'Achab.(F) 2Ch 22:7 Denn es war von Gott Ahasja der Unfall zugefügt, daß er zu Joram käme und also mit Joram auszöge wider Jehu, den Sohn Nimsis, welchen der HERR gesalbt hatte, auszurotten das Haus Ahab.(D) 2Ch 22:7 καὶ παρὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἐγένετο καταστροφὴ Οχοζια ἐλθεῖν πρὸς Ιωραμ καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐλθεῖν αὐτὸν ἐξῆλθεν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ Ιωραμ πρὸς Ιου υἱὸν Ναμεσσι χριστὸν κυρίου τὸν οἶκον Αχααβ(lxx) 2Ch 22:7 His going to Joram was God's occasion for Ahaziah's downfall; for when he arrived, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 22:8 ============ 2Ch 22:8 It came about when Jehu was executing judgment on the house of Ahab, he found the princes of Judah and the sons of Ahaziah's brothers ministering to Ahaziah, and slew them.(nasb) 2Ch 22:8 Cum ergo everteret Jehu domum Achab, invenit principes Juda, et filios fratrum Ochoziæ, qui ministrabant ei, et interfecit illos.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 22:8 Y aconteció que cuando Jehú ejecutaba juicio contra la casa de Acab, halló a los príncipes de Judá, y a los hijos de los hermanos de Ocozías, que servían a Ocozías, y los mató.(E) 2 Chroniques 22:8 Et comme Jéhu faisait justice de la maison d'Achab, il trouva les chefs de Juda et les fils des frères d'Achazia, qui étaient au service d'Achazia, et il les tua.(F) 2Ch 22:8 Da nun Jehu Strafe übte am Hause Ahab, fand er etliche Oberste aus Juda und die Kinder der Brüder Ahasjas, die Ahasja dienten, und erwürgte sie.(D) 2Ch 22:8 καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐξεδίκησεν Ιου τὸν οἶκον Αχααβ καὶ εὗρεν τοὺς ἄρχοντας Ιουδα καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς Οχοζια λειτουργοῦντας τῷ Οχοζια καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτούς(lxx) 2Ch 22:8 And it happened, when Jehu was executing judgment on the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah and the sons of Ahaziah's brothers who served Ahaziah, that he killed them.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 22:9 ============ 2Ch 22:9 He also sought Ahaziah, and they caught him while he was hiding in Samaria; they brought him to Jehu, put him to death and buried him. For they said, "He is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the Lord with all his heart." So there was no one of the house of Ahaziah to retain the power of the kingdom.(nasb) 2Ch 22:9 Ipsum quoque perquirens Ochoziam, comprehendit latitantem in Samaria: adductumque ad se, occidit: et sepelierunt eum, eo quod esset filius Josaphat, qui quæsierat Dominum in toto corde suo.~ Nec erat ultra spes aliqua ut de stirpe quis regnaret Ochoziæ:(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 22:9 Y buscando a Ocozías, el cual se había escondido en Samaria, lo tomaron, y lo trajeron a Jehú, y lo mataron; y le dieron sepultura, porque dijeron: [Es] hijo de Josafat, el cual buscó a Jehová de todo su corazón. Y la casa de Ocozías no tenía fuerzas para poder retener el reino.(E) 2 Chroniques 22:9 Il chercha Achazia, et on le saisit dans Samarie, où il s'était caché. Und er ward zu Jehu gebracht; der tötete ihn, und man begrub ihn. Denn sie sprachen: Er ist Josaphats Sohn, der nach dem HERRN trachtete von ganzem Herzen. Und es niemand mehr aus dem Hause Ahasja, der tüchtig war zum Königreich.(D) 2Ch 22:9 καὶ εἶπεν τοῦ ζητῆσαι τὸν Οχοζιαν καὶ κατέλαβον αὐτὸν ἰατρευόμενον ἐν Σαμαρείᾳ καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν πρὸς Ιου καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτόν καὶ ἔθαψαν αὐτόν ὅτι εἶπαν υἱὸς Ιωσαφατ ἐστίν ὃς ἐζήτησεν τὸν κύριον ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἐν οἴκῳ Οχοζια κατισχῦσαι δύναμιν περὶ τῆς βασιλείας(lxx) 2Ch 22:9 Then he searched for Ahaziah; and they caught him (he was hiding in Samaria), and brought him to Jehu. When they had killed him, they buried him, "because," they said, "he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the Lord with all his heart." So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah so that she would not put him to death.(nasb) 2Ch 22:11 Porro Josabeth filia regis tulit Joas filium Ochoziæ, et furata est eum de medio filiorum regis, cum interficerentur: absconditque eum cum nutrice sua in cubiculo lectulorum: Josabeth autem, quæ absconderat eum, erat filia regis Joram, uxor Jojadæ pontificis, soror Ochoziæ: et idcirco Athalia non interfecit eum.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 22:11 Pero Josabet, hija del rey, tomó a Joás, hijo de Ocozías, y lo arrebató de entre los hijos del rey, a los cuales mataban y le guardó a él y a su nodriza en una recámara. Also verbarg ihn Josabeath, die Tochter des Königs Joram, des Priesters Jojada Weib (denn sie war Ahasjas Schwester), vor Athalja, daß er nicht getötet ward.(D) 2Ch 22:11 καὶ ἔλαβεν Ιωσαβεθ ἡ θυγάτηρ τοῦ βασιλέως τὸν Ιωας υἱὸν Οχοζια καὶ ἔκλεψεν αὐτὸν ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν τοῦ βασιλέως τῶν θανατουμένων καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὸν καὶ τὴν τροφὸν αὐτοῦ εἰς ταμίειον τῶν κλινῶν καὶ ἔκρυψεν αὐτὸν Ιωσαβεθ θυγάτηρ τοῦ βασιλέως Ιωραμ ἀδελφὴ Οχοζιου γυνὴ Ιωδαε τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔκρυψεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ προσώπου Γοθολιας καὶ οὐκ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτόν(lxx) 2Ch 22:11 But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king's sons who were being murdered, and put him and his nurse in a bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah so that she did not kill him.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 22:12 ============ 2Ch 22:12 He was hidden with them in the house of God six years while Athaliah reigned over the land.(nasb) 2Ch 22:12 Fuit ergo cum eis in domo Dei absconditus sex annis, quibus regnavit Athalia super terram.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 22:12 Y estuvo con ellos escondido en la casa de Dios seis años.
