Today's Date: ======= Ezekiel 18:1 ============ Eze 18:1 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nasb) Eze 18:1 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:1 Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Ézéchiel 18:1 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(F) Eze 18:1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(D) Eze 18:1 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων(lxx) Eze 18:1 The word of the Lord came to me again, saying,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:2 ============ Eze 18:2 "What do you mean by using this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, 'The fathers eat the sour grapes, But the children's teeth are set on edge'?(nasb) Eze 18:2 Quid est quod inter vos parabolam vertitis in proverbium istud in terra Israël, dicentes: Patres comederunt uvam acerbam, et dentes filiorum obstupescunt?(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:2 ¿Qué pensáis vosotros, vosotros que usáis este refrán sobre la tierra de Israel, diciendo: Los padres comieron las uvas agrias, y los dientes de los hijos tienen la dentera?(E) Ézéchiel 18:2 Pourquoi dites-vous ce proverbe dans le pays d'Israël: Les pères ont mangé des raisins verts, et les dents des enfants en ont été agacées?(F) Eze 18:2 Was treibt ihr unter euch im Lande Israel dies Sprichwort und sprecht: "Die Väter haben Herlinge gegessen, aber den Kindern sind die Zähne davon stumpf geworden"?(D) Eze 18:2 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου τί ὑμῖν ἡ παραβολὴ αὕτη ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λέγοντες οἱ πατέρες ἔφαγον ὄμφακα καὶ οἱ ὀδόντες τῶν τέκνων ἐγομφίασαν(lxx) Eze 18:2 "What do you mean when you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying: 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children's teeth are set on edge'?(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:3 ============ Eze 18:3 As I live," declares the Lord God, "you are surely not going to use this proverb in Israel anymore.(nasb) Eze 18:3 Vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus, si erit ultra vobis parabola hæc in proverbium in Israël.(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:3 Vivo yo, dice Jehová el Señor, que nunca más tendréis [por qué usar] este refrán en Israel.(E) Ézéchiel 18:3 Je suis vivant! dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel, vous n'aurez plus lieu de dire ce proverbe en Israël.(F) Eze 18:3 So wahr als ich lebe, spricht der HERR HERR, solches Sprichwort soll nicht mehr unter euch gehen in Israel.(D) Eze 18:3 ζῶ ἐγώ λέγει κύριος ἐὰν γένηται ἔτι λεγομένη ἡ παραβολὴ αὕτη ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ(lxx) Eze 18:3 "As I live," says the Lord God, "you shall no longer use this proverb in Israel.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:4 ============ Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins will die.(nasb) Eze 18:4 Ecce omnes animæ meæ sunt: ut anima patris, ita et anima filii mea est: anima quæ peccaverit, ipsa morietur.(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:4 He aquí que todas las almas son mías; como el alma del padre, así el alma del hijo es mía; el alma que pecare, esa morirá.(E) Ézéchiel 18:4 Voici, toutes les âmes sont à moi; l'âme du fils comme l'âme du père, l'une et l'autre sont à moi; l'âme qui pèche, c'est celle qui mourra.(F) Eze 18:4 Denn siehe, alle Seelen sind mein; des Vaters Seele ist sowohl mein als des Sohnes Seele. Welche Seele sündigt, die soll sterben.(D) Eze 18:4 ὅτι πᾶσαι αἱ ψυχαὶ ἐμαί εἰσιν ὃν τρόπον ἡ ψυχὴ τοῦ πατρός οὕτως καὶ ἡ ψυχὴ τοῦ υἱοῦ ἐμαί εἰσιν ἡ ψυχὴ ἡ ἁμαρτάνουσα αὕτη ἀποθανεῖται(lxx) Eze 18:4 "Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:5 ============ Eze 18:5 "But if a man is righteous and practices justice and righteousness,(nasb) Eze 18:5 Et vir si fuerit justus, et fecerit judicium et justitiam,(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:5 Y el hombre que fuere justo, e hiciere juicio y justicia;(E) Ézéchiel 18:5 L'homme qui est juste, qui pratique la droiture et la justice,(F) Eze 18:5 Wenn nun einer fromm ist, der recht und wohl tut,(D) Eze 18:5 ὁ δὲ ἄνθρωπος ὃς ἔσται δίκαιος ὁ ποιῶν κρίμα καὶ δικαιοσύνην(lxx) Eze 18:5 But if a man is just And does what is lawful and right;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:6 ============ Eze 18:6 and does not eat at the mountain shrines or lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, or defile his neighbor's wife or approach a woman during her menstrual period--(nasb) Eze 18:6 in montibus non comederit, et oculos suos non levaverit ad idola domus Israël: et uxorem proximi sui non violaverit, et ad mulierem menstruatam non accesserit:(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:6 que no comiere sobre los montes, ni alzare sus ojos a los ídolos de la casa de Israel, ni deshonrare a la esposa de su prójimo, ni se llegare a la mujer menstruosa,(E) Ézéchiel 18:6 qui ne mange pas sur les montagnes et ne lève pas les yeux vers les idoles de la maison d'Israël, qui ne déshonore pas la femme de son prochain et ne s'approche pas d'une femme pendant son impureté,(F) Eze 18:6 der auf den Bergen nicht isset, der seine Augen nicht aufhebt zu den Götzen des Hauses Israel und seines Nächsten Weib nicht befleckt und liegt nicht bei der Frau in ihrer Krankheit,(D) Eze 18:6 ἐπὶ τῶν ὀρέων οὐ φάγεται καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ ἐπάρῃ πρὸς τὰ ἐνθυμήματα οἴκου Ισραηλ καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ μιάνῃ καὶ πρὸς γυναῖκα ἐν ἀφέδρῳ οὖσαν οὐ προσεγγιεῖ(lxx) Eze 18:6 If he has not eaten on the mountains, Nor lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, Nor defiled his neighbor's wife, Nor approached a woman during her impurity;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:7 ============ Eze 18:7 if a man does not oppress anyone, but restores to the debtor his pledge, does not commit robbery, but gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with clothing,(nasb) Eze 18:7 et hominem non contristaverit, pignus debitori reddiderit, per vim nihil rapuerit: panem suum esurienti dederit, et nudum operuerit vestimento:(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:7 ni oprimiere a ninguno; al deudor devolviere su prenda, no cometiere robo, diere de su pan al hambriento, y cubriere con ropa al desnudo,(E) Ézéchiel 18:7 qui n'opprime personne, qui rend au débiteur son gage, qui ne commet point de rapines, qui donne son pain à celui qui a faim et couvre d'un vêtement celui qui est nu,(F) Eze 18:7 der niemand beschädigt, der dem Schuldner sein Pfand wiedergibt, der niemand etwas mit Gewalt nimmt, der dem Hungrigen sein Brot mitteilt und den Nackten kleidet,(D) Eze 18:7 καὶ ἄνθρωπον οὐ μὴ καταδυναστεύσῃ ἐνεχυρασμὸν ὀφείλοντος ἀποδώσει καὶ ἅρπαγμα οὐχ ἁρπᾶται τὸν ἄρτον αὐτοῦ τῷ πεινῶντι δώσει καὶ γυμνὸν περιβαλεῖ(lxx) Eze 18:7 If he has not oppressed anyone, But has restored to the debtor his pledge; Has robbed no one by violence, But has given his bread to the hungry And covered the naked with clothing;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:8 ============ Eze 18:8 if he does not lend money on interest or take increase, if he keeps his hand from iniquity and executes true justice between man and man,(nasb) Eze 18:8 ad usuram non commodaverit, et amplius non acceperit: ab iniquitate averterit manum suam, et judicium verum fecerit inter virum et virum:(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:8 el [que] no diere a usura, ni prestare a interés; de la maldad retrajere su mano, e hiciere juicio de verdad entre hombre y hombre,(E) Ézéchiel 18:8 qui ne prête pas à intérêt et ne tire point d'usure, qui détourne sa main de l'iniquité et juge selon la vérité entre un homme et un autre,(F) Eze 18:8 der nicht wuchert, der nicht Zins nimmt, der seine Hand vom Unrechten kehrt, der zwischen den Leuten recht urteilt,(D) Eze 18:8 καὶ τὸ ἀργύριον αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τόκῳ οὐ δώσει καὶ πλεονασμὸν οὐ λήμψεται καὶ ἐξ ἀδικίας ἀποστρέψει τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ κρίμα δίκαιον ποιήσει ἀνὰ μέσον ἀνδρὸς καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ(lxx) Eze 18:8 If he has not exacted usury Nor taken any increase, But has withdrawn his hand from iniquity And executed true judgment between man and man;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:9 ============ Eze 18:9 if he walks in My statutes and My ordinances so as to deal faithfully--he is righteous and will surely live," declares the Lord God.(nasb) Eze 18:9 in præceptis meis ambulaverit, et judicia mea custodierit, ut faciat veritatem: hic justus est; vita vivet, ait Dominus Deus.(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:9 en mis estatutos caminare, y guardare mis ordenanzas para hacer rectamente, éste [es] justo; éste vivirá, dice Jehová el Señor.(E) Ézéchiel 18:9 qui suit mes lois et observe mes ordonnances en agissant avec fidélité, celui-là est juste, il vivra, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(F) Eze 18:9 der nach meinen Rechten wandelt und meine Gebote hält, daß er ernstlich darnach tue: das ist ein frommer Mann, der soll das leben haben, spricht der HERR HERR.(D) Eze 18:9 καὶ τοῖς προστάγμασίν μου πεπόρευται καὶ τὰ δικαιώματά μου πεφύλακται τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτά δίκαιος οὗτός ἐστιν ζωῇ ζήσεται λέγει κύριος(lxx) Eze 18:9 If he has walked in My statutes And kept My judgments faithfully-- He is just; He shall surely live!" Says the Lord God.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:10 ============ Eze 18:10 "Then he may have a violent son who sheds blood and who does any of these things to a brother(nasb) Eze 18:10 Quod si genuerit filium latronem, effundentem sanguinem, et fecerit unum de istis:(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:10 Mas si engendrare hijo ladrón, derramador de sangre, o [que] haga alguna cosa de éstas,(E) Ézéchiel 18:10 S'il a un fils qui soit violent, qui répande le sang, ou qui commette quelque chose de semblable;(F) Eze 18:10 Wenn er aber einen Sohn zeugt, und derselbe wird ein Mörder, der Blut vergießt oder dieser Stücke eins tut,(D) Eze 18:10 καὶ ἐὰν γεννήσῃ υἱὸν λοιμὸν ἐκχέοντα αἷμα καὶ ποιοῦντα ἁμαρτήματα(lxx) Eze 18:10 "If he begets a son who is a robber Or a shedder of blood, Who does any of these things(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:11 ============ Eze 18:11 (though he himself did not do any of these things), that is, he even eats at the mountain shrines, and defiles his neighbor's wife,(nasb) Eze 18:11 et hæc quidem omnia non facientem, sed in montibus comedentem, et uxorem proximi sui polluentem:(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:11 y que no haga las otras; antes comiere sobre los montes, o deshonrare a la esposa de su prójimo,(E) Ézéchiel 18:11 si ce fils n'imite en rien la conduite de son père, s'il mange sur les montagnes, s'il déshonore la femme de son prochain,(F) Eze 18:11 und der andern Stücke keins tut, sondern auf den Bergen isset und seines Nächsten Weib befleckt,(D) Eze 18:11 ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ τοῦ δικαίου οὐκ ἐπορεύθη ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν ὀρέων ἔφαγεν καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ ἐμίανεν(lxx) Eze 18:11 And does none of those duties, But has eaten on the mountains Or defiled his neighbor's wife;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:12 ============ Eze 18:12 oppresses the poor and needy, commits robbery, does not restore a pledge, but lifts up his eyes to the idols and commits abomination,(nasb) Eze 18:12 egenum et pauperem contristantem, rapientem rapinas, pignus non reddentem, et ad idola levantem oculos suos, abominationem facientem:(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:12 al pobre y menesteroso oprimiere, cometiere robos, no devolviere la prenda, o alzare sus ojos a los ídolos, e hiciere abominación,(E) Ézéchiel 18:12 s'il opprime le malheureux et l'indigent, s'il commet des rapines, s'il ne rend pas le gage, s'il lève les yeux vers les idoles et fait des abominations,(F) Eze 18:12 die Armen und Elenden beschädigt, mit Gewalt etwas nimmt, das Pfand nicht wiedergibt, seine Augen zu den Götzen aufhebt und einen Greuel begeht,(D) Eze 18:12 καὶ πτωχὸν καὶ πένητα κατεδυνάστευσεν καὶ ἅρπαγμα ἥρπασεν καὶ ἐνεχυρασμὸν οὐκ ἀπέδωκεν καὶ εἰς τὰ εἴδωλα ἔθετο τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ ἀνομίαν πεποίηκεν(lxx) Eze 18:12 If he has oppressed the poor and needy, Robbed by violence, Not restored the pledge, Lifted his eyes to the idols, Or committed abomination;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:13 ============ Eze 18:13 he lends money on interest and takes increase; will he live? He will not live! He has committed all these abominations, he will surely be put to death; his blood will be on his own head.(nasb) Eze 18:13 ad usuram dantem, et amplius accipientem: numquid vivet? Non vivet: cum universa hæc detestanda fecerit, morte morietur; sanguis ejus in ipso erit.(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:13 diere a usura y prestare a interés; ¿vivirá éste? No vivirá. Todas estas abominaciones hizo, de cierto morirá; su sangre será sobre él.(E) Ézéchiel 18:13 S'il prête à intérêt et tire une usure, ce fils-là vivrait! Il ne vivra pas; il a commis toutes ces abominations; qu'il meure! que son sang retombe sur lui!(F) Eze 18:13 auf Wucher gibt, Zins nimmt: sollte der Leben? Er soll nicht leben, sondern weil er solche Greuel alle getan hat, soll er des Todes sterben; sein Blut soll auf ihm sein.(D) Eze 18:13 μετὰ τόκου ἔδωκε καὶ πλεονασμὸν ἔλαβεν οὗτος ζωῇ οὐ ζήσεται πάσας τὰς ἀνομίας ταύτας ἐποίησεν θανάτῳ θανατωθήσεται τὸ αἷμα αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἔσται(lxx) Eze 18:13 If he has exacted usury Or taken increase-- Shall he then live? If he has done any of these abominations, He shall surely die; His blood shall be upon him.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:14 ============ Eze 18:14 "Now behold, he has a son who has observed all his father's sins which he committed, and observing does not do likewise.(nasb) Eze 18:14 Quod si genuerit filium, qui videns omnia peccata patris sui quæ fecit, timuerit, et non fecerit simile eis:(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:14 Pero [si] éste engendrare hijo, el cual viere todos los pecados que su padre hizo, y viéndolos no hiciere según ellos;(E) Ézéchiel 18:14 Mais si un homme a un fils qui voie tous les péchés que commet son père, qui les voie et n'agisse pas de la même manière;(F) Eze 18:14 Wo er aber einen Sohn zeugt, der solche Sünden sieht, so sein Vater tut, und sich fürchtet und nicht also tut,(D) Eze 18:14 ἐὰν δὲ γεννήσῃ υἱόν καὶ ἴδῃ πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ἃς ἐποίησεν καὶ φοβηθῇ καὶ μὴ ποιήσῃ κατὰ ταύτας(lxx) Eze 18:14 "If, however, he begets a son Who sees all the sins which his father has done, And considers but does not do likewise;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:15 ============ Eze 18:15 He does not eat at the mountain shrines or lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, or defile his neighbor's wife,(nasb) Eze 18:15 super montes non comederit, et oculos suos non levaverit ad idola domus Israël, et uxorem proximi sui non violaverit:(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:15 no comiere sobre los montes, ni alzare sus ojos a los ídolos de la casa de Israel; a la esposa de su prójimo no deshonrare,(E) Ézéchiel 18:15 si ce fils ne mange pas sur les montagnes et ne lève pas les yeux vers les idoles de la maison d'Israël, s'il ne déshonore pas la femme de son prochain,(F) Eze 18:15 ißt nicht auf den Bergen, hebt seine Augen nicht auf zu den Götzen des Hauses Israel, befleckt nicht seines Nächsten Weib,(D) Eze 18:15 ἐπὶ τῶν ὀρέων οὐ βέβρωκεν καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔθετο εἰς τὰ ἐνθυμήματα οἴκου Ισραηλ καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐμίανεν(lxx) Eze 18:15 Who has not eaten on the mountains, Nor lifted his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, Nor defiled his neighbor's wife;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:16 ============ Eze 18:16 or oppress anyone, or retain a pledge, or commit robbery, but he gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with clothing,(nasb) Eze 18:16 et virum non contristaverit, pignus non retinuerit, et rapinam non rapuerit: panem suum esurienti dederit, et nudum operuerit vestimento:(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:16 ni oprimiere a nadie; la prenda no retuviere, ni cometiere robos; al hambriento diere de su pan, y cubriere de ropa al desnudo;(E) Ézéchiel 18:16 s'il n'opprime personne, s'il ne prend point de gage, s'il ne commet point de rapines, s'il donne son pain à celui qui a faim et couvre d'un vêtement celui qui est nu,(F) Eze 18:16 beschädigt niemand, behält das Pfand nicht, nimmt nicht mit Gewalt etwas, teilt sein Brot mit dem Hungrigen und kleidet den Nackten,(D) Eze 18:16 καὶ ἄνθρωπον οὐ κατεδυνάστευσεν καὶ ἐνεχυρασμὸν οὐκ ἐνεχύρασεν καὶ ἅρπαγμα οὐχ ἥρπασεν τὸν ἄρτον αὐτοῦ τῷ πεινῶντι ἔδωκεν καὶ γυμνὸν περιέβαλεν(lxx) Eze 18:16 Has not oppressed anyone, Nor withheld a pledge, Nor robbed by violence, But has given his bread to the hungry And covered the naked with clothing;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:17 ============ Eze 18:17 he keeps his hand from the poor, does not take interest or increase, but executes My ordinances, and walks in My statutes; he will not die for his father's iniquity, he will surely live.(nasb) Eze 18:17 a pauperis injuria averterit manum suam, usuram et superabundantiam non acceperit, judicia mea fecerit, in præceptis meis ambulaverit: hic non morietur in iniquitate patris sui, sed vita vivet.(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:17 apartare su mano del pobre, usura e interés no recibiere; hiciere mis derechos y anduviere en mis estatutos, éste no morirá por la maldad de su padre; de cierto vivirá.(E) Ézéchiel 18:17 s'il détourne sa main de l'iniquité, s'il n'exige ni intérêt ni usure, s'il observe mes ordonnances et suit mes lois, celui-là ne mourra pas pour l'iniquité de son père; il vivra.(F) Eze 18:17 der seine Hand vom Unrechten kehrt, keinen Wucher noch Zins nimmt, sondern meine Gebote hält und nach meinen Rechten lebt: der soll nicht sterben um seines Vaters Missetat willen, sondern leben.(D) Eze 18:17 καὶ ἀπ᾽ ἀδικίας ἀπέστρεψε τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ τόκον οὐδὲ πλεονασμὸν οὐκ ἔλαβεν δικαιοσύνην ἐποίησεν καὶ ἐν τοῖς προστάγμασίν μου ἐπορεύθη οὐ τελευτήσει ἐν ἀδικίαις πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ζωῇ ζήσεται(lxx) Eze 18:17 Who has withdrawn his hand from the poor And not received usury or increase, But has executed My judgments And walked in My statutes-- He shall not die for the iniquity of his father; He shall surely live!(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:18 ============ Eze 18:18 As for his father, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother and did what was not good among his people, behold, he will die for his iniquity.(nasb) Eze 18:18 Pater ejus, quia calumniatus est, et vim fecit fratri, et malum operatus est in medio populi sui, ecce mortuus est in iniquitate sua.(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:18 Su padre, por cuanto hizo agravio, despojó violentamente al hermano, e hizo en medio de su pueblo lo [que] no [es] bueno, he aquí que él morirá por su maldad.(E) Ézéchiel 18:18 C'est son père, qui a été un oppresseur, qui a commis des rapines envers les autres, qui a fait au milieu de son peuple ce qui n'est pas bien, c'est lui qui mourra pour son iniquité.(F) Eze 18:18 Aber sein Vater, der Gewalt und Unrecht geübt hat und unter seinem Volk getan hat, was nicht taugt, siehe, der soll sterben um seiner Missetat willen.(D) Eze 18:18 ὁ δὲ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ ἐὰν θλίψει θλίψῃ καὶ ἁρπάσῃ ἅρπαγμα ἐναντία ἐποίησεν ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ λαοῦ μου καὶ ἀποθανεῖται ἐν τῇ ἀδικίᾳ αὐτοῦ(lxx) Eze 18:18 "As for his father, Because he cruelly oppressed, Robbed his brother by violence, And did what is not good among his people, Behold, he shall die for his iniquity.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 18:19 ============ Eze 18:19 "Yet you say, 'Why should the son not bear the punishment for the father's iniquity? 'When the son has practiced justice and righteousness and has observed all My statutes and done them, he shall surely live.(nasb) Eze 18:19 Et dicitis: Quare non portavit filius iniquitatem patris? Videlicet quia filius judicium et justitiam operatus est, omnia præcepta mea custodivit, et fecit illa, vivet vita.(vulgate) Ezequiel 18:19 Y si dijereis: ¿Por qué el hijo no llevará el pecado de su padre? Porque el hijo hizo juicio y justicia, guardó todos mis estatutos, y los hizo, de cierto vivirá.(E) Ézéchiel 18:19 Vous dites: Pourquoi le fils ne porte-t-il pas l'iniquité de son père?
