Today's Date: ======= Ezekiel 21:1 ============ Eze 21:1 And the word of the Lord came to me saying,(nasb) Eze 21:1 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:1 Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Ézéchiel 21:1 Et la parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(F) Eze 21:1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(D) Eze 21:1 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων(lxx) Eze 21:1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:2 ============ Eze 21:2 "Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and speak against the sanctuaries and prophesy against the land of Israel;(nasb) Eze 21:2 [Fili hominis, pone faciem tuam ad Jerusalem, et stilla ad sanctuaria, et propheta contra humum Israël.(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:2 Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra Jerusalén, y derrama [palabra] sobre los santuarios, y profetiza contra la tierra de Israel.(E) Ézéchiel 21:2 Fils de l'homme, tourne ta face vers Jérusalem, Et parle contre les lieux saints! Prophétise contre le pays d'Israël!(F) Eze 21:2 Du Menschenkind, richte dein Angesicht wider Jerusalem und predige wider die Heiligtümer und weissage wider das Land Israel(D) Eze 21:2 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου στήρισον τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἐπὶ Θαιμαν καὶ ἐπίβλεψον ἐπὶ Δαρωμ καὶ προφήτευσον ἐπὶ δρυμὸν ἡγούμενον Ναγεβ(lxx) Eze 21:2 "Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, preach against the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel;(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:3 ============ Eze 21:3 and say to the land of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord, "Behold, I am against you; and I will draw My sword out of its sheath and cut off from you the righteous and the wicked.(nasb) Eze 21:3 Et dices terræ Israël: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Ecce ego ad te, et ejiciam gladium meum de vagina sua, et occidam in te justum et impium.(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:3 Y dirás a la tierra de Israel: Así dice Jehová: He aquí, que yo contra ti, y sacaré mi espada de su vaina, y cortaré de ti al justo y al impío.(E) Ézéchiel 21:3 Tu diras au pays d'Israël: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Voici, j'en veux à toi, Je tirerai mon épée de son fourreau, Et j'exterminerai du milieu de toi le juste et le méchant.(F) Eze 21:3 und sprich zum Lande Israel: So spricht der HERR HERR: Siehe, ich will an dich; ich will mein Schwert aus der Scheide ziehen und will in dir ausrotten beide, Gerechte und Ungerechte.(D) Eze 21:3 καὶ ἐρεῖς τῷ δρυμῷ Ναγεβ ἄκουε λόγον κυρίου τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀνάπτω ἐν σοὶ πῦρ καὶ καταφάγεται ἐν σοὶ πᾶν ξύλον χλωρὸν καὶ πᾶν ξύλον ξηρόν οὐ σβεσθήσεται ἡ φλὸξ ἡ ἐξαφθεῖσα καὶ κατακαυθήσεται ἐν αὐτῇ πᾶν πρόσωπον ἀπὸ ἀπηλιώτου ἕως βορρᾶ(lxx) Eze 21:3 and say to the land of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord: "Behold, I am against you, and I will draw My sword out of its sheath and cut off both righteous and wicked from you.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:4 ============ Eze 21:4 Because I will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked, therefore My sword will go forth from its sheath against all flesh from south to north.(nasb) Eze 21:4 Pro eo autem quod occidi in te justum et impium, idcirco egredietur gladius meus de vagina sua ad omnem carnem, ab austro usque ad aquilonem:(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:4 Y por cuanto he de cortar de ti al justo y al impío, por tanto, mi espada saldrá de su vaina contra toda carne, desde el sur hasta el norte.(E) Ézéchiel 21:4 Parce que je veux exterminer du milieu de toi le juste et le méchant, Mon épée sortira de son fourreau, Pour frapper toute chair, Du midi au septentrion.(F) Eze 21:4 Weil ich denn in dir Gerechte und Ungerechte ausrotte, so wird mein Schwert aus der Scheide fahren über alles Fleisch, von Mittag her bis gen Mitternacht.(D) Eze 21:4 καὶ ἐπιγνώσονται πᾶσα σὰρξ ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ἐξέκαυσα αὐτό καὶ οὐ σβεσθήσεται(lxx) Eze 21:4 Because I will cut off both righteous and wicked from you, therefore My sword shall go out of its sheath against all flesh from south to north,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:5 ============ Eze 21:5 Thus all flesh will know that I, the Lord, have drawn My sword out of its sheath. It will not return to its sheath again."'(nasb) Eze 21:5 ut sciat omnis caro quia ego Dominus, eduxi gladium meum de vagina sua irrevocabilem.(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:5 Y sabrá toda carne que yo Jehová saqué mi espada de su vaina; no volverá más [a su vaina].(E) Ézéchiel 21:5 Et toute chair saura Que moi, l'Eternel, j'ai tiré mon épée de son fourreau. Elle n'y rentrera plus.(F) Eze 21:5 Und soll alles Fleisch erfahren, daß ich, der HERR, mein Schwert habe aus der Scheide gezogen; und es soll nicht wieder eingesteckt werden.(D) Eze 21:5 καὶ εἶπα μηδαμῶς κύριε κύριε αὐτοὶ λέγουσιν πρός με οὐχὶ παραβολή ἐστιν λεγομένη αὕτη(lxx) Eze 21:5 that all flesh may know that I, the Lord, have drawn My sword out of its sheath; it shall not return anymore." '(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:6 ============ Eze 21:6 As for you, son of man, groan with breaking heart and bitter grief, groan in their sight.(nasb) Eze 21:6 Et tu, fili hominis, ingemisce in contritione lumborum, et in amaritudinibus ingemisce coram eis.(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:6 Y tú, hijo de hombre, gime con quebrantamiento de [tus] lomos, y con amargura; gime delante de los ojos de ellos.(E) Ézéchiel 21:6 Et toi, fils de l'homme, gémis! Les reins brisés et l'amertume dans l'âme, Gémis sous leurs regards!(F) Eze 21:6 Und du, Menschenkind, sollst seufzen, bis dir die Lenden weh tun, ja, bitterlich sollst du seufzen, daß sie es sehen.(D) Eze 21:6 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων(lxx) Eze 21:6 Sigh therefore, son of man, with a breaking heart, and sigh with bitterness before their eyes.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:7 ============ Eze 21:7 And when they say to you, 'Why do you groan?'you shall say, 'Because of the news that is coming; and every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it comes and it will happen, 'declares the Lord God."(nasb) Eze 21:7 Cumque dixerint ad te: Quare tu gemis? dices: Pro auditu: quia venit, et tabescet omne cor, et dissolventur universæ manus, et infirmabitur omnis spiritus, et per cuncta genua fluent aquæ: ecce venit, et fiet, ait Dominus Deus.](vulgate) Ezequiel 21:7 Y será, que cuando te dijeren: ¿Por qué gimes tú? dirás: Por la noticia que viene; y todo corazón desfallecerá, y toda mano se debilitará, y se angustiará todo espíritu, y toda rodilla será débil [como] el agua; he aquí que viene, y se hará, dice Jehová el Señor.(E) Ézéchiel 21:7 Et s'ils te disent: Pourquoi gémis-tu? Tu répondras: Parce qu'il arrive une nouvelle... Tous les coeurs s'alarmeront, Toutes les mains deviendront faibles, Tous les esprits seront abattus, Tous les genoux se fondront en eau... Voici, elle arrive, elle est là! Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(F) Eze 21:7 Und wenn sie zu dir sagen werden: Warum seufzest du? sollst du sagen: Um des Geschreis willen, das da kommt, vor welchem alle Herzen verzagen, und alle Hände sinken, aller Mut fallen und alle Kniee so ungewiß stehen werden wie Wasser. Siehe, es kommt und wird geschehen, spricht der HERR HERR.(D) Eze 21:7 διὰ τοῦτο προφήτευσον υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου καὶ στήρισον τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐπίβλεψον ἐπὶ τὰ ἅγια αὐτῶν καὶ προφητεύσεις ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τοῦ Ισραηλ(lxx) Eze 21:7 And it shall be when they say to you, 'Why are you sighing?' that you shall answer, 'Because of the news; when it comes, every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it is coming and shall be brought to pass,' says the Lord God."(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:8 ============ Eze 21:8 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nasb) Eze 21:8 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:8 Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Ézéchiel 21:8 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(F) Eze 21:8 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(D) Eze 21:8 καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς τὴν γῆν τοῦ Ισραηλ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ πρὸς σὲ καὶ ἐκσπάσω τὸ ἐγχειρίδιόν μου ἐκ τοῦ κολεοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξολεθρεύσω ἐκ σοῦ ἄδικον καὶ ἄνομον(lxx) Eze 21:8 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:9 ============ Eze 21:9 "Son of man, prophesy and say, 'Thus says the Lord.' Say, 'A sword, a sword sharpened And also polished!(nasb) Eze 21:9 Fili hominis, propheta, et dices: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: loquere: [Gladius, gladius exacutus est, et limatus:(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:9 Hijo de hombre, profetiza, y di: Así dice el Señor: Di: La espada, la espada está afilada, y también pulida.(E) Ézéchiel 21:9 Fils de l'homme, prophétise, et dis: Ainsi parle l'Eternel. Dis: L'épée! l'épée! Elle est aiguisée, elle est polie.(F) Eze 21:9 Du Menschenkind, weissage und sprich: So spricht der HERR: Sprich: Das Schwert, ja, das Schwert ist geschärft und gefegt.(D) Eze 21:9 ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ἐξολεθρεύσω ἐκ σοῦ ἄδικον καὶ ἄνομον οὕτως ἐξελεύσεται τὸ ἐγχειρίδιόν μου ἐκ τοῦ κολεοῦ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ πᾶσαν σάρκα ἀπὸ ἀπηλιώτου ἕως βορρᾶ(lxx) Eze 21:9 "Son of man, prophesy and say, 'Thus says the Lord!' Say: 'A sword, a sword is sharpened And also polished!(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:10 ============ Eze 21:10 'Sharpened to make a slaughter, Polished to flash like lightning!' Or shall we rejoice, the rod of My son despising every tree?(nasb) Eze 21:10 ut cædat victimas, exacutus est: ut splendeat, limatus est: qui moves sceptrum filii mei, succidisti omne lignum.(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:10 Para degollar víctimas está afilada, pulida está para que relumbre. ¿Hemos de alegrarnos? Al cetro de mi hijo ha menospreciado [como] a una vara cualquiera.(E) Ézéchiel 21:10 C'est pour massacrer qu'elle est aiguisée, C'est pour étinceler qu'elle est polie... Nous réjouirons-nous? Le sceptre de mon fils méprise tout bois...(F) Eze 21:10 Es ist geschärft, daß es schlachten soll; es ist gefegt, daß es blinken soll. O wie froh wollten wir sein, wenn er gleich alle Bäume zu Ruten machte über die bösen Kinder!(D) Eze 21:10 καὶ ἐπιγνώσεται πᾶσα σὰρξ διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ἐξέσπασα τὸ ἐγχειρίδιόν μου ἐκ τοῦ κολεοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἀποστρέψει οὐκέτι(lxx) Eze 21:10 Sharpened to make a dreadful slaughter, Polished to flash like lightning! Should we then make mirth? It despises the scepter of My Son, As it does all wood.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:11 ============ Eze 21:11 It is given to be polished, that it may be handled; the sword is sharpened and polished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.(nasb) Eze 21:11 Et dedi eum ad levigandum, ut teneatur manu: iste exacutus est gladius, et iste limatus est, ut sit in manu interficientis.(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:11 Y la dio a pulir para tenerla a mano: la espada está afilada, y pulida está ella, para entregarla en mano del matador.(E) Ézéchiel 21:11 On l'a donnée à polir, Pour que la main la saisisse; Elle est aiguisée, l'épée, elle est polie, Pour armer la main de celui qui massacre.(F) Eze 21:11 Aber er hat ein Schwert zu fegen gegeben, daß man es fassen soll; es ist geschärft und gefegt, daß man's dem Totschläger in die Hand gebe.(D) Eze 21:11 καὶ σύ υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου καταστέναξον ἐν συντριβῇ ὀσφύος σου καὶ ἐν ὀδύναις στενάξεις κατ᾽ ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν(lxx) Eze 21:11 And He has given it to be polished, That it may be handled; This sword is sharpened, and it is polished To be given into the hand of the slayer.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:12 ============ Eze 21:12 Cry out and wail, son of man; for it is against My people, it is against all the officials of Israel. They are delivered over to the sword with My people, therefore strike your thigh.(nasb) Eze 21:12 Clama et ulula, fili hominis, quia hic factus est in populo meo, hic in cunctis ducibus Israël qui fugerant: gladio traditi sunt cum populo meo: idcirco plaude super femur,(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:12 Clama y gime, oh hijo de hombre; porque ésta será sobre mi pueblo, [será] ella sobre todos los príncipes de Israel. Temores de espada serán a mi pueblo: por tanto, hiere el muslo;(E) Ézéchiel 21:12 Crie et gémis, fils de l'homme! Car elle est tirée contre mon peuple, Contre tous les princes d'Israël; Ils sont livrés à l'épée avec mon peuple. Frappe donc sur ta cuisse!(F) Eze 21:12 Schreie und heule, du Menschenkind; denn es geht über mein Volk und über alle Regenten in Israel, die dem Schwert samt meinem Volk verfallen sind. Darum schlage auf deine Lenden.(D) Eze 21:12 καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν εἴπωσιν πρὸς σέ ἕνεκα τίνος σὺ στενάζεις καὶ ἐρεῖς ἐπὶ τῇ ἀγγελίᾳ διότι ἔρχεται καὶ θραυσθήσεται πᾶσα καρδία καὶ πᾶσαι χεῖρες παραλυθήσονται καὶ ἐκψύξει πᾶσα σὰρξ καὶ πᾶν πνεῦμα καὶ πάντες μηροὶ μολυνθήσονται ὑγρασίᾳ ἰδοὺ ἔρχεται καὶ ἔσται λέγει κύριος κύριος(lxx) Eze 21:12 "Cry and wail, son of man; For it will be against My people, Against all the princes of Israel. Terrors including the sword will be against My people; Therefore strike your thigh.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:13 ============ Eze 21:13 For there is a testing; and what if even the rod which despises will be no more?" declares the Lord God.(nasb) Eze 21:13 quia probatus est: et hoc, cum sceptrum subverterit, et non erit, dicit Dominus Deus.(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:13 porque [está] probado. ¿Y qué, si [la espada] desprecia aun el cetro? Él no será [más], dice Jehová el Señor.(E) Ézéchiel 21:13 Oui, l'épreuve sera faite; Et que sera-ce, si ce sceptre qui méprise tout est anéanti? Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(F) Eze 21:13 Denn er hat sie oft gezüchtigt; was hat's geholfen? Es will der bösen Kinder Rute nicht helfen, spricht der HERR HERR.(D) Eze 21:13 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων(lxx) Eze 21:13 "Because it is a testing, And what if the sword despises even the scepter? The scepter shall be no more," says the Lord God.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:14 ============ Eze 21:14 "You therefore, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands together; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword for the slain. It is the sword for the great one slain, which surrounds them,(nasb) Eze 21:14 Tu ergo, fili hominis, propheta, et percute manu ad manum: et duplicetur gladius, ac triplicetur gladius interfectorum: hic est gladius occisionis magnæ, qui obstupescere eos facit(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:14 Tú, pues, hijo de hombre, profetiza y bate una mano con otra; que sea duplicada la espada la tercera vez, la espada para los muertos; la espada de los grandes [hombres que han sido] muertos, que entra a sus cámaras.(E) Ézéchiel 21:14 Et toi, fils de l'homme, prophétise, Et frappe des mains! Et que les coups de l'épée soient doublés, soient triplés! C'est l'épée du carnage, l'épée du grand carnage, L'épée qui doit les poursuivre.(F) Eze 21:14 Und du, Menschenkind, weissage und schlage deine Hände zusammen. Denn das Schwert wird zweifach, ja dreifach kommen, ein Würgeschwert, ein Schwert großer Schlacht, das sie auch treffen wird in den Kammern, dahin sie fliehen.(D) Eze 21:14 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου προφήτευσον καὶ ἐρεῖς τάδε λέγει κύριος εἰπόν ῥομφαία ῥομφαία ὀξύνου καὶ θυμώθητι(lxx) Eze 21:14 "You therefore, son of man, prophesy, And strike your hands together. The third time let the sword do double damage. It is the sword that slays, The sword that slays the great men, That enters their private chambers.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:15 ============ Eze 21:15 that their hearts may melt, and many fall at all their gates. I have given the glittering sword. Ah! It is made for striking like lightning, it is wrapped up in readiness for slaughter.(nasb) Eze 21:15 et corde tabescere, et multiplicat ruinas. In omnibus portis eorum dedi conturbationem gladii acuti, et limati ad fulgendum, amicti ad cædem.(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:15 para que el corazón desmaye, y los estragos se multipliquen; en todas las puertas de ellos he puesto espanto de espada. ¡Ah! dispuesta está para que relumbre, y preparada para degollar.(E) Ézéchiel 21:15 Pour jeter l'effroi dans les coeurs, Pour multiplier les victimes, A toutes leurs portes je les menacerai de l'épée. Ah! elle est faite pour étinceler, Elle est aiguisée pour massacrer.(F) Eze 21:15 Ich will das Schwert lassen klingen, daß die Herzen verzagen und viele fallen sollen an allen ihren Toren. Ach, wie glänzt es und haut daher zur Schlacht!(D) Eze 21:15 ὅπως σφάξῃς σφάγια ὀξύνου ὅπως γένῃ εἰς στίλβωσιν ἑτοίμη εἰς παράλυσιν σφάζε ἐξουδένει ἀπωθοῦ πᾶν ξύλον(lxx) Eze 21:15 I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, That the heart may melt and many may stumble. Ah! It is made bright; It is grasped for slaughter:(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:16 ============ Eze 21:16 Show yourself sharp, go to the right; set yourself; go to the left, wherever your edge is appointed.(nasb) Eze 21:16 Exacuere, vade ad dexteram sive ad sinistram, quocumque faciei tuæ est appetitus.(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:16 Ponte a una parte, ya sea a la derecha, [o] a la izquierda, hacia donde tu rostro se determine.(E) Ézéchiel 21:16 Rassemble tes forces, tourne-toi à droite! Place-toi, tourne-toi à gauche! Dirige de tous côtés ton tranchant!(F) Eze 21:16 Haue drein, zur Rechten und Linken, was vor dir ist!(D) Eze 21:16 καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὴν ἑτοίμην τοῦ κρατεῖν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐξηκονήθη ῥομφαία ἔστιν ἑτοίμη τοῦ δοῦναι αὐτὴν εἰς χεῖρα ἀποκεντοῦντος(lxx) Eze 21:16 "Swords at the ready! Thrust right! Set your blade! Thrust left-- Wherever your edge is ordered!(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:17 ============ Eze 21:17 I will also clap My hands together, and I will appease My wrath; I, the Lord, have spoken."(nasb) Eze 21:17 Quin et ego plaudam manu ad manum, et implebo indignationem meam: ego Dominus locutus sum.](vulgate) Ezequiel 21:17 Y yo también batiré mi mano con mi mano, y haré reposar mi ira. C'est moi, l'Eternel, qui parle.(F) Eze 21:17 Da will ich dann mit meinen Händen darob frohlocken und meinen Zorn gehen lassen. Ich, der HERR, habe es gesagt.(D) Eze 21:17 ἀνάκραγε καὶ ὀλόλυξον υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ὅτι αὐτὴ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ λαῷ μου αὐτὴ ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἀφηγουμένοις τοῦ Ισραηλ παροικήσουσιν ἐπὶ ῥομφαίᾳ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ λαῷ μου διὰ τοῦτο κρότησον ἐπὶ τὴν χεῖρά σου(lxx) Eze 21:17 "I also will beat My fists together, And I will cause My fury to rest; I, the Lord, have spoken."(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:18 ============ Eze 21:18 The word of the Lord came to me saying,(nasb) Eze 21:18 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Ezequiel 21:18 Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Ézéchiel 21:18 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(F) Eze 21:18 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(D) Eze 21:18 ὅτι δεδικαίωται καὶ τί εἰ καὶ φυλὴ ἀπώσθη οὐκ ἔσται λέγει κύριος κύριος(lxx) Eze 21:18 The word of the Lord came to me again, saying:(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 21:19 ============ Eze 21:19 "As for you, son of man, make two ways for the sword of the king of Babylon to come; both of them will go out of one land.
