Today's Date: ======= Ezekiel 20:1 ============ Eze 20:1 Now in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth of the month, certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the Lord, and sat before me.(nasb) Eze 20:1 Et factum est in anno septimo, in quinto, in decima mensis, venerunt viri de senioribus Israël ut interrogarent Dominum, et sederunt coram me.(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:1 Y aconteció en el año séptimo, en [el mes] quinto, a los diez del mes, [que] vinieron algunos de los ancianos de Israel a consultar a Jehová, y se sentaron delante de mí.(E) Ézéchiel 20:1 La septième année, le dixième jour du cinquième mois, quelques-uns des anciens d'Israël vinrent pour consulter l'Eternel, et s'assirent devant moi.(F) Eze 20:1 Und es begab sich im siebenten Jahr, am zehnten Tage des fünften Monats, kamen etliche aus den Ältesten Israels, den HERRN zu fragen, und setzten sich vor mir nieder.(D) Eze 20:1 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ ἑβδόμῳ ἐν τῷ πέμπτῳ μηνὶ δεκάτῃ τοῦ μηνὸς ἦλθον ἄνδρες ἐκ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων οἴκου Ισραηλ ἐπερωτῆσαι τὸν κύριον καὶ ἐκάθισαν πρὸ προσώπου μου(lxx) Eze 20:1 It came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the Lord, and sat before me.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:2 ============ Eze 20:2 And the word of the Lord came to me saying,(nasb) Eze 20:2 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:2 Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Ézéchiel 20:2 Et la parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(F) Eze 20:2 Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach:(D) Eze 20:2 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων(lxx) Eze 20:2 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:3 ============ Eze 20:3 "Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Do you come to inquire of Me? As I live," declares the Lord God, "I will not be inquired of by you."'(nasb) Eze 20:3 Fili hominis, loquere senioribus Israël, et dices ad eos: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Numquid ad interrogandum me vos venistis? vivo ego quia non respondebo vobis, ait Dominus Deus.(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:3 Hijo de hombre, habla a los ancianos de Israel, y diles: Así dice Jehová el Señor: ¿A consultarme venís vosotros? Vivo yo, que yo no os responderé, dice Jehová el Señor.(E) Ézéchiel 20:3 Fils de l'homme, parle aux anciens d'Israël, et dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Est-ce pour me consulter que vous êtes venus? Je suis vivant! je ne me laisserai pas consulter par vous, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(F) Eze 20:3 Du Menschenkind, sage den Ältesten Israels und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR HERR: Seid ihr gekommen, mich zu fragen? So wahr ich lebe, ich will von euch ungefragt sein, spricht der HERR HERR.(D) Eze 20:3 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου λάλησον πρὸς τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος εἰ ἐπερωτῆσαί με ὑμεῖς ἔρχεσθε ζῶ ἐγὼ εἰ ἀποκριθήσομαι ὑμῖν λέγει κύριος(lxx) Eze 20:3 "Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Have you come to inquire of Me? As I live," says the Lord God, "I will not be inquired of by you." '(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:4 ============ Eze 20:4 Will you judge them, will you judge them, son of man? Make them know the abominations of their fathers;(nasb) Eze 20:4 Si judicas eos, si judicas, fili hominis, abominationes patrum eorum ostende eis.(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:4 ¿Quieres tú juzgarlos? ¿Los quieres juzgar tú, hijo de hombre? Hazles saber las abominaciones de sus padres;(E) Ézéchiel 20:4 Veux-tu les juger, veux-tu les juger, fils de l'homme? Fais-leur connaître les abominations de leurs pères!(F) Eze 20:4 Aber willst du sie strafen, du Menschenkind, so magst du sie also strafen: zeige ihnen an die Greuel ihrer Väter(D) Eze 20:4 εἰ ἐκδικήσω αὐτοὺς ἐκδικήσει υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου τὰς ἀνομίας τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν διαμάρτυραι αὐτοῖς(lxx) Eze 20:4 Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? Then make known to them the abominations of their fathers.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:5 ============ Eze 20:5 and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "On the day when I chose Israel and swore to the descendants of the house of Jacob and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am the Lord your God,(nasb) Eze 20:5 Et dices ad eos: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: In die qua elegi Israël, et levavi manum meam pro stirpe domus Jacob, et apparui eis in terra Ægypti, et levavi manum meam pro eis, dicens: Ego Dominus Deus vester:(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:5 y diles: Así dice Jehová el Señor: El día que escogí a Israel, e hice juramento a la simiente de la casa de Jacob, y que fui conocido de ellos en la tierra de Egipto, cuando alcé mi mano a ellos [y les juré], diciendo: Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios;(E) Ézéchiel 20:5 Tu leur diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Le jour où j'ai choisi Israël, j'ai levé ma main vers la postérité de la maison de Jacob, et je me suis fait connaître à eux dans le pays d'Egypte; j'ai levé ma main vers eux, en disant: Je suis l'Eternel, votre Dieu.(F) Eze 20:5 und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR HERR: Zu der Zeit, da ich Israel erwählte, erhob ich meine Hand zu dem Samen des Hauses Jakob und gab mich ihnen zu erkennen in Ägyptenland. Ja, ich erhob meine Hand zu ihnen und sprach: Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.(D) Eze 20:5 καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀφ᾽ ἧς ἡμέρας ᾑρέτισα τὸν οἶκον Ισραηλ καὶ ἐγνωρίσθην τῷ σπέρματι οἴκου Ιακωβ καὶ ἐγνώσθην αὐτοῖς ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἀντελαβόμην τῇ χειρί μου αὐτῶν λέγων ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν(lxx) Eze 20:5 "Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God: "On the day when I chose Israel and raised My hand in an oath to the descendants of the house of Jacob, and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, I raised My hand in an oath to them, saying, 'I am the Lord your God.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:6 ============ Eze 20:6 on that day I swore to them, to bring them out from the land of Egypt into a land that I had selected for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.(nasb) Eze 20:6 in die illa levavi manum meam pro eis ut educerem eos de terra Ægypti, in terram quam provideram eis, fluentem lacte et melle, quæ est egregia inter omnes terras.(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:6 Aquel día [que] les alcé mi mano, [jurando así] que los sacaría de la tierra de Egipto a la tierra que les había provisto, que fluye leche y miel, la cual [es] la más hermosa de todas las tierras;(E) Ézéchiel 20:6 En ce jour-là, j'ai levé ma main vers eux, pour les faire passer du pays d'Egypte dans un pays que j'avais cherché pour eux, pays où coulent le lait et le miel, le plus beau de tous les pays.(F) Eze 20:6 Ich erhob aber zur selben Zeit meine Hand, daß ich sie führte aus Ägyptenland in ein Land, das ich ihnen ersehen hatte, das mit Milch und Honig fließt, ein edles Land vor allen Ländern,(D) Eze 20:6 ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἀντελαβόμην τῇ χειρί μου αὐτῶν τοῦ ἐξαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν ἡτοίμασα αὐτοῖς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι κηρίον ἐστὶν παρὰ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν(lxx) Eze 20:6 On that day I raised My hand in an oath to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, 'flowing with milk and honey,' the glory of all lands.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:7 ============ Eze 20:7 I said to them, 'Cast away, each of you, the detestable things of his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.'(nasb) Eze 20:7 Et dixi ad eos: Unusquisque offensiones oculorum suorum abjiciat, et in idolis Ægypti nolite pollui: ego Dominus Deus vester.(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:7 entonces les dije: Cada uno eche de sí las abominaciones de sus ojos, y no os contaminéis con los ídolos de Egipto. Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.(E) Ézéchiel 20:7 Je leur dis: Rejetez chacun les abominations qui attirent vos regards, et ne vous souillez pas par les idoles de l'Egypte! Je suis l'Eternel, votre Dieu.(F) Eze 20:7 und sprach zu ihnen: Ein jeglicher werfe weg die Greuel vor seinen Augen, und verunreinigt euch nicht an den Götzen Ägyptens! denn ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.(D) Eze 20:7 καὶ εἶπα πρὸς αὐτούς ἕκαστος τὰ βδελύγματα τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτοῦ ἀπορριψάτω καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἐπιτηδεύμασιν Αἰγύπτου μὴ μιαίνεσθε ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν(lxx) Eze 20:7 Then I said to them, 'Each of you, throw away the abominations which are before his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:8 ============ Eze 20:8 But they rebelled against Me and were not willing to listen to Me; they did not cast away the detestable things of their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.(nasb) Eze 20:8 Et irritaverunt me, nolueruntque me audire: unusquisque abominationes oculorum suorum non projecit, nec idola Ægypti reliquerunt. Et dixi ut effunderem indignationem meam super eos, et implerem iram meam in eis, in medio terræ Ægypti.(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:8 Mas ellos se rebelaron contra mí, y no quisieron obedecerme; no echó de sí cada uno las abominaciones de sus ojos, ni dejaron los ídolos de Egipto; y dije que derramaría mi ira sobre ellos, para cumplir mi enojo en ellos en medio de la tierra de Egipto.(E) Ézéchiel 20:8 Et ils se révoltèrent contre moi, et ils ne voulurent pas m'écouter. Aucun ne rejeta les abominations qui attiraient ses regards, et ils n'abandonnèrent point les idoles de l'Egypte. J'eus la pensée de répandre ma fureur sur eux, d'épuiser contre eux ma colère, au milieu du pays d'Egypte.(F) Eze 20:8 Sie aber waren mir ungehorsam und wollten nicht gehorchen und warf ihrer keiner weg die Greuel vor seinen Augen und verließen die Götzen Ägyptens nicht. Da dachte ich meinem Grimm über sie auszuschütten und all mein Zorn über sie gehen zu lassen noch in Ägyptenland.(D) Eze 20:8 καὶ ἀπέστησαν ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησαν εἰσακοῦσαί μου τὰ βδελύγματα τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν οὐκ ἀπέρριψαν καὶ τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα Αἰγύπτου οὐκ ἐγκατέλιπον καὶ εἶπα τοῦ ἐκχέαι τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς τοῦ συντελέσαι τὴν ὀργήν μου ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐν μέσῳ γῆς Αἰγύπτου(lxx) Eze 20:8 But they rebelled against Me and would not obey Me. They did not all cast away the abominations which were before their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said, 'I will pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:9 ============ Eze 20:9 But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they lived, in whose sight I made Myself known to them by bringing them out of the land of Egypt.(nasb) Eze 20:9 Et feci propter nomen meum, ut non violaretur coram gentibus in quarum medio erant, et inter quas apparui eis ut educerem eos de terra Ægypti.(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:9 Pero actué por causa de mi nombre, para que no se infamase ante los ojos de las naciones en medio de las cuales [estaban], en cuyos ojos me di a conocer sacándolos de la tierra de Egipto.(E) Ézéchiel 20:9 Néanmoins j'ai agi par égard pour mon nom, afin qu'il ne soit pas profané aux yeux des nations parmi lesquelles ils se trouvaient, et aux yeux desquelles je m'étais fait connaître à eux, pour les faire sortir du pays d'Egypte.(F) Eze 20:9 Aber ich ließ es um meines Namens willen, daß er nicht entheiligt würde vor den Heiden, unter denen sie waren und vor denen ich mich ihnen hatte zu erkennen gegeben, daß ich sie aus Ägyptenland führen wollte.(D) Eze 20:9 καὶ ἐποίησα ὅπως τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ παράπαν μὴ βεβηλωθῇ ἐνώπιον τῶν ἐθνῶν ὧν αὐτοί εἰσιν ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν ἐν οἷς ἐγνώσθην πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν τοῦ ἐξαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου(lxx) Eze 20:9 But I acted for My name's sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles among whom they were, in whose sight I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:10 ============ Eze 20:10 So I took them out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness.(nasb) Eze 20:10 Ejeci ergo eos de terra Ægypti, et eduxi eos in desertum.(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:10 Los saqué, pues, de la tierra de Egipto, y los traje al desierto;(E) Ézéchiel 20:10 Et je les fis sortir du pays d'Egypte, et je les conduisis dans le désert.(F) Eze 20:10 Und da ich sie aus Ägyptenland geführt hatte und in die Wüste gebracht,(D) Eze 20:10 καὶ ἐξήγαγον αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν ἔρημον(lxx) Eze 20:10 "Therefore I made them go out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:11 ============ Eze 20:11 I gave them My statutes and informed them of My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live.(nasb) Eze 20:11 Et dedi eis præcepta mea, et judicia mea ostendi eis, quæ faciens homo vivet in eis.(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:11 y les di mis ordenanzas, y les declaré mis decretos, los cuales el hombre que los hiciere, vivirá por ellos.(E) Ézéchiel 20:11 Je leur donnai mes lois et leur fis connaître mes ordonnances, que l'homme doit mettre en pratique, afin de vivre par elles.(F) Eze 20:11 gab ich ihnen meine Gebote und lehrte sie meine Rechte, durch welche lebt der Mensch, der sie hält.(D) Eze 20:11 καὶ ἔδωκα αὐτοῖς τὰ προστάγματά μου καὶ τὰ δικαιώματά μου ἐγνώρισα αὐτοῖς ὅσα ποιήσει αὐτὰ ἄνθρωπος καὶ ζήσεται ἐν αὐτοῖς(lxx) Eze 20:11 And I gave them My statutes and showed them My judgments, 'which, if a man does, he shall live by them.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:12 ============ Eze 20:12 Also I gave them My sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.(nasb) Eze 20:12 Insuper et sabbata mea dedi eis, ut essent signum inter me et eos, et scirent quia ego Dominus sanctificans eos.(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:12 Y les di también mis sábados que fuesen por señal entre mí y ellos, para que supiesen que yo soy Jehová que los santifico.(E) Ézéchiel 20:12 Je leur donnai aussi mes sabbats comme un signe entre moi et eux, pour qu'ils connussent que je suis l'Eternel qui les sanctifie.(F) Eze 20:12 Ich gab ihnen auch meine Sabbate zum Zeichen zwischen mir und ihnen, damit sie lernten, daß ich der HERR sei, der sie heiligt.(D) Eze 20:12 καὶ τὰ σάββατά μου ἔδωκα αὐτοῖς τοῦ εἶναι εἰς σημεῖον ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτῶν τοῦ γνῶναι αὐτοὺς διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ ἁγιάζων αὐτούς(lxx) Eze 20:12 Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:13 ============ Eze 20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live; and My sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them.(nasb) Eze 20:13 Et irritaverunt me domus Israël in deserto: in præceptis meis non ambulaverunt, et judicia mea projecerunt, quæ faciens homo vivet in eis, et sabbata mea violaverunt vehementer. Dixi ergo ut effunderem furorem meum super eos in deserto, et consumerem eos:(vulgate) Ezequiel 20:13 Mas se rebeló contra mí la casa de Israel en el desierto; no anduvieron en mis ordenanzas, y desecharon mis decretos, los cuales el hombre que los hiciere, vivirá por ellos; y mis sábados profanaron en gran manera; dije, por tanto, que había de derramar sobre ellos mi ira en el desierto para consumirlos.(E) Ézéchiel 20:13 Et la maison d'Israël se révolta contre moi dans le désert. Ils ne suivirent point mes lois, et ils rejetèrent mes ordonnances, que l'homme doit mettre en pratique, afin de vivre par elles, et ils profanèrent à l'excès mes sabbats. J'eus la pensée de répandre sur eux ma fureur dans le désert, pour les anéantir.(F) Eze 20:13 Aber das Haus Israel war mir ungehorsam auch in der Wüste und lebten nicht nach meinen Geboten und verachteten meine Rechte, durch welche der Mensch lebt, der sie hält, und entheiligten meine Sabbate sehr. Da gedachte ich meinem Grimm über sie auszuschütten in der Wüste und sie ganz umzubringen.(D) Eze 20:13 καὶ εἶπα πρὸς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἐν τοῖς προστάγμασίν μου πορεύεσθε καὶ οὐκ ἐπορεύθησαν καὶ τὰ δικαιώματά μου ἀπώσαντο ἃ ποιήσει αὐτὰ ἄνθρωπος καὶ ζήσεται ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ τὰ σάββατά μου ἐβεβήλωσαν σφόδρα καὶ εἶπα τοῦ ἐκχέαι τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τοῦ ἐξαναλῶσαι αὐτούς(lxx) Eze 20:13 Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, 'which, if a man does, he shall live by them'; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths. So I resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the wilderness.(nasb) Eze 20:21 Et exacerbaverunt me filii: in præceptis meis non ambulaverunt, et judicia mea non custodierunt ut facerent ea, quæ cum fecerit homo, vivet in eis, et sabbata mea violaverunt. J'eus la pensée de répandre sur eux ma fureur, d'épuiser contre eux ma colère dans le désert.(F) Eze 20:21 Aber die Kinder waren mir auch ungehorsam, lebten nach meinen Geboten nicht, hielten auch meine Rechte nicht, daß sie darnach täten, durch welche der Mensch lebt, der sie hält, und entheiligten meine Sabbate. Da gedachte ich, meinen Grimm über sie auszuschütten und allen meinen Zorn über sie gehen lassen in der Wüste.(D) Eze 20:21 καὶ παρεπίκρανάν με καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν ἐν τοῖς προστάγμασίν μου οὐκ ἐπορεύθησαν καὶ τὰ δικαιώματά μου οὐκ ἐφυλάξαντο τοῦ ποιεῖν αὐτά ἃ ποιήσει ἄνθρωπος καὶ ζήσεται ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ τὰ σάββατά μου ἐβεβήλουν καὶ εἶπα τοῦ ἐκχέαι τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τοῦ συντελέσαι τὴν ὀργήν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς(lxx) Eze 20:21 Notwithstanding, the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, and were not careful to observe My judgments, 'which, if a man does, he shall live by them'; but they profaned My Sabbaths. those in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the Gentiles and disperse them throughout the countries,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:24 ============ Eze 20:24 because they had not observed My ordinances, but had rejected My statutes and had profaned My sabbaths, and their eyes were on the idols of their fathers.(nasb) Eze 20:24 eo quod judicia mea non fecissent, et præcepta mea pass through the fire, that I might make them desolate and that they might know that I am the Lord."
