He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:2 ============ Dan 3:2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent word to assemble the satraps, the prefects and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates and all the rulers of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.(nasb) Dan 3:2 Itaque Nabuchodonosor rex misit ad congregandos satrapas, magistratus, et judices, duces, et tyrannos, et praefectos, omnesque principes regionum, ut convenirent ad dedicationem statuae quam erexerat Nabuchodonosor rex.(vulgate) Daniel 3:2 Y envió el rey Nabucodonosor a juntar los grandes, los asistentes y capitanes, oidores, receptores, los del consejo, presidentes, y a todos los gobernadores de las provincias, para que viniesen a la dedicación de la estatua que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado.(E) Daniel 3:2 Le roi Nebucadnetsar fit convoquer les satrapes, les intendants et les gouverneurs, les grands juges, les trésoriers, les jurisconsultes, les juges, et tous les magistrats des provinces, pour qu'ils se rendissent à la dédicace de la statue qu'avait élevée le roi Nebucadnetsar.(F) Dan 3:2 Und der König Nebukadnezar sandte nach den Fürsten, Herren, Landpflegern, Richtern, Vögten, Räten, Amtleuten und allen Gewaltigen im Lande, daß sie zusammenkommen sollten, das Bild zu weihen, daß der König Nebukadnezar hatte setzen lassen.(D) Dan 3:2 καὶ Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεὺς βασιλέων καὶ κυριεύων τῆς οἰκουμένης ὅλης ἀπέστειλεν ἐπισυναγαγεῖν πάντα τὰ ἔθνη καὶ φυλὰς καὶ γλώσσας σατράπας στρατηγούς τοπάρχας καὶ ὑπάτους διοικητὰς καὶ τοὺς ἐπ᾽ ἐξουσιῶν κατὰ χώραν καὶ πάντας τοὺς κατὰ τὴν οἰκουμένην ἐλθεῖν εἰς τὸν ἐγκαινισμὸν τῆς εἰκόνος τῆς χρυσῆς ἣν ἔστησε Ναβουχοδονοσορ ὁ βασιλεύς(lxx) Dan 3:2 And King Nebuchadnezzar sent word to gather together the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:3 ============ Dan 3:3 Then the satraps, the prefects and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates and all the rulers of the provinces were assembled for the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.(nasb) Dan 3:3 Tunc congregati sunt satrapae, magistratus, et judices, duces, et tyranni, et optimates, qui erant in potestatibus constituti, et universi principes regionum, ut convenirent ad dedicationem statuae, quam erexerat Nabuchodonosor rex. Stabant autem in conspectu statuae, quam posuerat Nabuchodonosor rex:(vulgate) Daniel 3:3 Fueron, pues, reunidos los príncipes, los asistentes y capitanes, los jueces, los tesoreros, los consejeros, los presidentes, y todos los gobernadores de las provincias, a la dedicación de la estatua que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado; y estaban en pie delante de la estatua que había levantado el rey Nabucodonosor.(E) Daniel 3:3 Alors les satrapes, les intendants et les gouverneurs, les grands juges, les trésoriers, les jurisconsultes, les juges, et tous les magistrats des provinces, s'assemblèrent pour la dédicace de la statue qu'avait élevée le roi Nebucadnetsar. Ils se placèrent devant la statue qu'avait élevée Nebucadnetsar.(F) Dan 3:3 Da kamen zusammen die Fürsten, Herren, Landpfleger, Richter, Vögte, Räte, Amtleute und alle Gewaltigen im lande, das Bild zu weihen, das der König Nebukadnezar hatte setzen lassen. Und sie mußten dem Bilde gegenübertreten, das Nebukadnezar hatte setzen lassen.(D) Dan 3:3 καὶ ἔστησαν οἱ προγεγραμμένοι κατέναντι τῆς εἰκόνος(lxx) Dan 3:3 So the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered together for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:4 ============ Dan 3:4 Then the herald loudly proclaimed. "To you the command is given, O peoples, nations and men of every language,(nasb) Dan 3:4 et praeco clamabat valenter: Vobis dicitur populis, tribubus, et linguis:(vulgate) Daniel 3:4 Y el pregonero Then a herald cried aloud: "To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages,(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:5 ============ Dan 3:5 that at the moment you hear the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery, bagpipe and all kinds of music, you are to fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up.(nasb) Dan 3:5 in hora qua audieritis sonitum tubae, et fistulae, et citharae, sambucae, et psalterii, et symphoniae, et universi generis musicorum, cadentes adorate statuam auream, quam constituit Nabuchodonosor rex.(vulgate) Daniel 3:5 que al oír el son de la bocina, de la flauta, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento de música, os postréis y adoréis la estatua de oro que el rey Nabucodonosor ha levantado;(E) Daniel 3:5 Au moment où vous entendrez le son de la trompette, du chalumeau, de la guitare, de la sambuque, du psaltérion, de la cornemuse, et de toutes sortes d'instruments de musique, vous vous prosternerez et vous adorerez la statue d'or qu'a élevée le roi Nebucadnetsar.(F) Dan 3:5 Wenn ihr hören werdet den Schall der Posaunen, Drommeten, Harfen, Geigen, Psalter, Lauten und allerlei Saitenspiel, so sollt ihr niederfallen und das goldene Bild anbeten, das der König Nebukadnezar hat setzen lassen.(D) Dan 3:5 ὅταν ἀκούσητε τῆς φωνῆς τῆς σάλπιγγος σύριγγος καὶ κιθάρας σαμβύκης καὶ ψαλτηρίου συμφωνίας καὶ παντὸς γένους μουσικῶν πεσόντες προσκυνήσατε τῇ εἰκόνι τῇ χρυσῇ ἣν ἔστησε Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεύς(lxx) Dan 3:5 that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up;(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:6 ============ Dan 3:6 But whoever does not fall down and worship shall immediately be cast into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire."(nasb) Dan 3:6 Si quis autem non prostratus adoraverit, eadem hora mittetur in fornacem ignis ardentis.(vulgate) Daniel 3:6 y cualquiera que no se postre y adore, en la misma hora será echado dentro de un horno de fuego ardiendo.(E) Daniel 3:6 Quiconque ne se prosternera pas et n'adorera pas sera jeté à l'instant même au milieu d'une fournaise ardente.(F) Dan 3:6 Wer aber alsdann nicht niederfällt und anbetet, der soll von Stund an in den glühenden Ofen geworfen werden.(D) Dan 3:6 καὶ πᾶς ὃς ἂν μὴ πεσὼν προσκυνήσῃ ἐμβαλοῦσιν αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν κάμινον τοῦ πυρὸς τὴν καιομένην(lxx) Dan 3:6 and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:7 ============ Dan 3:7 Therefore at that time, when all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery, bagpipe and all kinds of music, all the peoples, nations and men of every language fell down and worshiped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.(nasb) Dan 3:7 Post haec igitur, statim ut audierunt omnes populi sonitum tubae, fistulae, et citharae, sambucae, et psalterii, et symphoniae, et omnis generis musicorum, cadentes omnes populi, tribus, et linguae adoraverunt statuam auream, quam constituerat Nabuchodonosor rex.(vulgate) Daniel 3:7 Por lo cual, al oír todos los pueblos el son de la bocina, de la flauta, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento de música, todos los pueblos, naciones, y lenguas, se postraron, [y] adoraron la estatua de oro que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado.(E) Daniel 3:7 C'est pourquoi, au moment où tous les peuples entendirent le son de la trompette, du chalumeau, de la guitare, de la sambuque, du psaltérion, et de toutes sortes d'instruments de musique, tous les peuples, les nations, les hommes de toutes langues se prosternèrent et adorèrent la statue d'or qu'avait élevée le roi Nebucadnetsar.(F) Dan 3:7 Da sie nun hörten den Schall der Posaunen, Drommeten, Harfen, Geigen, Psalter und allerlei Saitenspiel, fielen nieder alle Völker, Leute und Zungen und beteten an das goldene Bild, das der König Nebukadnezar hatte setzen lassen.(D) Dan 3:7 καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ὅτε ἤκουσαν πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τῆς φωνῆς τῆς σάλπιγγος καὶ παντὸς ἤχου μουσικῶν πίπτοντα πάντα τὰ ἔθνη φυλαὶ καὶ γλῶσσαι προσεκύνησαν τῇ εἰκόνι τῇ χρυσῇ ἣν ἔστησε Ναβουχοδονοσορ κατέναντι τούτου(lxx) Dan 3:7 So at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the horn, flute, harp, and lyre, in symphony with all kinds of music, all the people, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the gold image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:8 ============ Dan 3:8 For this reason at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and brought charges against the Jews.(nasb) Dan 3:8 Statimque in ipso tempore accedentes viri Chaldaei accusaverunt Judaeos:(vulgate) Daniel 3:8 Por esto en aquel tiempo algunos varones caldeos vinieron, y denunciaron a los judíos.(E) Daniel 3:8 A cette occasion, et dans le même temps, quelques διέβαλον τοὺς Ιουδαίους(lxx) Dan 3:8 Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and accused the Jews.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:9 ============ Dan 3:9 They responded and said to Nebuchadnezzar the king. "O king, live forever!(nasb) Dan 3:9 dixeruntque Nabuchodonosor regi: Rex, in aeternum vive!(vulgate) Daniel 3:9 Hablando y diciendo al rey Nabucodonosor: Rey, para siempre vive.(E) Daniel 3:9 Ils prirent la parole et dirent au roi Nebucadnetsar: O roi, vis éternellement!(F) Dan 3:9 fingen an und sprachen zum König Nebukadnezar: Der König lebe ewiglich!(D) Dan 3:9 καὶ ὑπολαβόντες εἶπον κύριε βασιλεῦ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ζῆθι(lxx) Dan 3:9 They spoke and said to King Nebuchadnezzar, "O king, live forever!(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:10 ============ Dan 3:10 You, O king, have made a decree that every man who hears the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery, and bagpipe and all kinds of music, is to fall down and worship the golden image.(nasb) Dan 3:10 tu, rex, posuisti decretum, ut omnis homo, qui audierit sonitum tubae, fistulae, et citharae, sambucae, et psalterii, et symphoniae, et universi generis musicorum, prosternat se, et adoret statuam auream:(vulgate) Daniel 3:10 Tú, oh rey, diste una ley que todo hombre al oír el son de la bocina, de la flauta, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento de música, se postrase y adorase la estatua de oro;(E) Daniel 3:10 Tu as donné un ordre d'après lequel tous ceux qui entendraient le son de la trompette, du chalumeau, de la guitare, de la sambuque, du psaltérion, de la cornemuse, et de toutes sortes d'instruments, devraient se prosterner et adorer la statue d'or,(F) Dan 3:10 Du hast ein Gebot lassen ausgehen, daß alle Menschen, wenn sie hören würden den Schall der Posaunen, Drommeten, Harfen, Geigen, Psalter, Lauten und allerlei Saitenspiel, sollten sie niederfallen und das goldene Bild anbeten;(D) Dan 3:10 σύ βασιλεῦ προσέταξας καὶ ἔκρινας ἵνα πᾶς ἄνθρωπος ὃς ἂν ἀκούσῃ τῆς φωνῆς τῆς σάλπιγγος καὶ παντὸς ἤχου μουσικῶν πεσὼν προσκυνήσῃ τῇ εἰκόνι τῇ χρυσῇ(lxx) Dan 3:10 You, O king, have made a decree that everyone who hears the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the gold image;(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:11 ============ Dan 3:11 But whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire.(nasb) Dan 3:11 si quis autem non procidens adoraverit, mittatur in fornacem ignis ardentis.(vulgate) Daniel 3:11 y el que no se postrase y adorase, fuese echado dentro de un horno de fuego ardiendo.(E) Daniel 3:11 et d'après lequel quiconque ne se prosternerait pas et n'adorerait pas serait jeté au milieu d'une fournaise ardente.(F) Dan 3:11 wer aber nicht niederfiele und anbetete, sollte in den glühenden Ofen geworfen werden.(D) Dan 3:11 καὶ ὃς ἂν μὴ πεσὼν προσκυνήσῃ ἐμβληθήσεται εἰς τὴν κάμινον τοῦ πυρὸς τὴν καιομένην(lxx) Dan 3:11 and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:12 ============ Dan 3:12 There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the administration of the province of Babylon, namely Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. These men, O king, have disregarded you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up."(nasb) Dan 3:12 Sunt ergo viri Judaei, quos constituisti super opera regionis Babylonis, Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago: viri isti contempserunt, rex, decretum tuum: deos tuos non colunt, et statuam auream, quam erexisti, non adorant.(vulgate) Daniel 3:12 Hay unos varones judíos, los cuales pusiste tú sobre los negocios de la provincia de Babilonia; Sadrac, Mesac y Abed-nego; estos varones, oh rey, no han hecho cuenta de ti; no adoran a tus dioses, ni adoran la estatua de oro que tú levantaste.(E) Daniel 3:12 Or, il y a des Juifs à qui tu as remis l'intendance de la province de Babylone, Schadrac, Méschac et Abed-Nego, hommes qui ne tiennent aucun compte de toi, ô roi; ils ne servent pas tes dieux, et ils n'adorent point la statue d'or que tu as élevée.(F) Dan 3:12 Nun sind da jüdische Männer, welche du über die Ämter der Landschaft Babel gesetzt hast: Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego; die verachten dein Gebot und ehren deine Götter nicht und beten nicht an das goldene Bild, das du hast setzen lassen.(D) Dan 3:12 εἰσὶ δέ τινες ἄνδρες Ιουδαῖοι οὓς κατέστησας ἐπὶ τῆς χώρας τῆς Βαβυλωνίας Σεδραχ Μισαχ Αβδεναγω οἱ ἄνθρωποι ἐκεῖνοι οὐκ ἐφοβήθησάν σου τὴν ἐντολὴν καὶ τῷ εἰδώλῳ σου οὐκ ἐλάτρευσαν καὶ τῇ εἰκόνι σου τῇ χρυσῇ ᾗ ἔστησας οὐ προσεκύνησαν(lxx) Dan 3:12 There are certain Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego; these men, O king, have not paid due regard to you. They do not serve your gods or worship the gold image which you have set up."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:13 ============ Dan 3:13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in rage and anger gave orders to bring Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego; then these men were brought before the king.(nasb) Dan 3:13 Tunc Nabuchodonosor, in furore et in ira, praecepit ut adducerentur Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago: qui confestim adducti sunt in conspectu regis.(vulgate) Daniel 3:13 Entonces Nabucodonosor con ira y con enojo mandó que trajesen a Sadrac, Mesac y Abed-nego. Y al punto fueron traídos estos varones delante del rey.(E) Daniel 3:13 Alors Nebucadnetsar, irrité et furieux, donna l'ordre qu'on amenât Schadrac, Méschac et Abed-Nego. Et ces hommes furent amenés devant le roi.(F) Dan 3:13 Da befahl Nebukadnezar mit Grimm und Zorn, daß man vor ihn stellte Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego. Und die Männer wurden vor den König gestellt.(D) Dan 3:13 τότε Ναβουχοδονοσορ θυμωθεὶς ὀργῇ προσέταξεν ἀγαγεῖν τὸν Σεδραχ Μισαχ Αβδεναγω τότε οἱ ἄνθρωποι ἤχθησαν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα(lxx) Dan 3:13 Then Nebuchadnezzar, in rage and fury, gave the command to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. So they brought these men before the king.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:14 ============ Dan 3:14 Nebuchadnezzar responded and said to them, "Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up?(nasb) Dan 3:14 Pronuntiansque Nabuchodonosor rex, ait eis: Verene Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago, deos meos non colitis, et statuam auream, quam constitui, non adoratis?(vulgate) Daniel 3:14 Habló Nabucodonosor, y les dijo: ¿[Es] verdad Sadrac, Mesac y Abed-nego, que vosotros no honráis a mis dioses, ni adoráis la estatua de oro que he levantado?(E) Daniel 3:14 Nebucadnetsar prit la parole et leur dit: Est-ce de propos délibéré, Schadrac, Méschac et Abed-Nego, que vous ne servez pas mes dieux, et que vous n'adorez pas la statue d'or que j'ai élevée?(F) Dan 3:14 Da fing Nebukadnezar an und sprach zu ihnen: Wie? wollt ihr Sadrach, Mesach, Abed-Nego, meinen Gott nicht ehren und das goldenen Bild nicht anbeten, das ich habe setzen lassen?(D) Dan 3:14 οὓς καὶ συνιδὼν Ναβουχοδονοσορ ὁ βασιλεὺς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς διὰ τί Σεδραχ Μισαχ Αβδεναγω τοῖς θεοῖς μου οὐ λατρεύετε καὶ τῇ εἰκόνι τῇ χρυσῇ ἣν ἔστησα οὐ προσκυνεῖτε(lxx) Dan 3:14 Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying to them, "Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold image which I have set up?(nkjv) ======= Daniel 3:15 ============ Dan 3:15 Now if you are ready, at the moment you hear the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery and bagpipe and all kinds of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, very well. But if you do not worship, you will immediately be cast into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire; and what god is there who can deliver you out of my hands?"(nasb) Dan 3:15 nunc ergo si estis parati, quacumque hora audieritis sonitum tubae, fistulae, citharae, sambucae, et psalterii, et symphoniae, omnisque generis musicorum, prosternite vos, et adorate statuam, quam feci: quod si non adoraveritis, eadem hora mittemini in fornacem ignis ardentis: et quis est Deus, qui eripiet vos de manu mea?(vulgate) Daniel 3:15 Ahora, pues, ¿estáis dispuestos para que al oír el son de la bocina, de la flauta, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento de música, os postréis, y adoréis la estatua que he hecho? Porque si no la adorareis, en la misma hora seréis echados en medio de un horno de fuego ardiendo; ¿y quién será el Dios que os pueda librar de mis manos?(E) Daniel 3:15 Maintenant tenez-vous prêts, et au moment où vous entendrez le son de la trompette, du chalumeau, de la guitare, de la sambuque, du psaltérion, de la cornemuse, et de toutes sortes d'instruments, vous vous prosternerez et vous adorerez la statue que j'ai faite; si vous ne l'adorez pas, vous serez jetés à l'instant même au milieu d'une fournaise ardente. Et quel est le dieu qui vous délivrera de ma main?(F) Dan 3:15 Wohlan schickt euch! Sobald ihr hören werdet den Schall der Posaunen, Drommeten, Harfen, Geigen, Psalter, Lauten und allerlei Saitenspiel, so fallt nieder und betet das Bild an, das ich habe machen lassen! ja man konnte keinen Brand an ihnen riechen.(D) Dan 3:27 ὅτι δίκαιος εἶ ἐπὶ πᾶσιν οἷς ἐποίησας ἡμῖν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου ἀληθινά καὶ αἱ ὁδοί σου εὐθεῖαι καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ κρίσεις σου ἀληθιναί(lxx) Dan 3:27 And the satraps, administrators, governors, and the king's counselors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power;
