In his shade I took great delight and sat down, And his fruit was sweet to my taste.(nas) Sos 2:3 ὡς μῆλον ἐν τοῖς ξύλοις τοῦ δρυμοῦ οὕτως ἀδελφιδός μου ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν υἱῶν ἐν τῇ σκιᾷ αὐτοῦ ἐπεθύμησα καὶ ἐκάθισα καὶ καρπὸς αὐτοῦ γλυκὺς ἐν λάρυγγί μου (lxx) Sos 2:3 3 ׃2 כְּתַפּ֙וּחַ֙ בַּעֲצֵ֣י הַיַּ֔עַר כֵּ֥ן דּוֹדִ֖י בֵּ֣ין הַבָּנִ֑ים בְּצִלּוֹ֙ חִמַּ֣דְתִּי וְיָשַׁ֔בְתִּי וּפִרְי֖וֹ מָת֥וֹק לְחִכִּֽי׃ Sos Sos 2:3 Wie ein Apfelbaum unter den wilden Bäumen, so ist mein Freund unter den Söhnen. Ich sitze unter dem Schatten, des ich begehre, und seine Frucht ist meiner Kehle süß.(dhs) Sos 2:3 The Shulamite Like an apple tree among the trees of the woods, So is my beloved among the sons. I sat down in his shade with great delight, And his fruit was sweet to my taste.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:4 ============ Sos 2:4 "He has brought me to his banquet hall, And his banner over me is love.(nas) Sos 2:4 εἰσαγάγετέ με εἰς οἶκον τοῦ οἴνου τάξατε ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἀγάπην (lxx) Sos 2:4 Introduxit me in cellam vinariam; ordinavit in me caritatem.(vulgate) 4 ׃2 הֱבִיאַ֙נִי֙ אֶל־בֵּ֣ית הַיָּ֔יִן וְדִגְל֥וֹ עָלַ֖י אַהֲבָֽה׃ Sos Sos 2:4 Er führt mich in den Weinkeller, und die Liebe ist sein Panier über mir.(dhs) Sos 2:4 The Shulamite to the Daughters of Jerusalem He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me was love.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:5 ============ Sos 2:5 "Sustain me with raisin cakes, Refresh me with apples, Because I am lovesick.(nas) Sos 2:5 στηρίσατέ με ἐν ἀμόραις στοιβάσατέ με ἐν μήλοις ὅτι τετρωμένη ἀγάπης ἐγώ (lxx) Sos 2:5 Fulcite me floribus, stipate me malis, quia amore langueo.(vulgate) 5 ׃2 סַמְּכ֙וּנִי֙ בָּֽאֲשִׁישׁ֔וֹת רַפְּד֖וּנִי בַּתַּפּוּחִ֑ים כִּי־חוֹלַ֥ת אַהֲבָ֖ה אָֽנִי׃ Sos Sos 2:5 Er erquickt mich mit Blumen und labt mich mit Äpfeln; denn ich bin krank vor Liebe.(dhs) Sos 2:5 Sustain me with cakes of raisins, Refresh me with apples, For I am lovesick.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:6 ============ Sos 2:6 "Let his left hand be under my head And his right hand embrace me."(nas) Sos 2:6 εὐώνυμος αὐτοῦ ὑπὸ τὴν κεφαλήν μου καὶ ἡ δεξιὰ αὐτοῦ περιλήμψεταί με (lxx) Sos 2:6 Læva ejus sub capite meo, et dextera illius amplexabitur me.(vulgate) 6 ׃2 שְׂמֹאלוֹ֙ תַּ֣חַת לְרֹאשִׁ֔י וִימִינ֖וֹ תְּחַבְּקֵֽנִי׃ Sos Sos 2:6 Seine Linke liegt unter meinem Haupte, und seine Rechte herzt mich.(dhs) Sos 2:6 His left hand is under my head, And his right hand embraces me.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:7 ============ Sos 2:7 "I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, By the gazelles or by the hinds of the field, That you do not arouse or awaken my love Until she pleases."(nas) Sos 2:7 ὥρκισα ὑμᾶς θυγατέρες Ιερουσαλημ ἐν ταῖς δυνάμεσιν καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἰσχύσεσιν τοῦ ἀγροῦ ἐὰν ἐγείρητε καὶ ἐξεγείρητε τὴν ἀγάπην ἕως οὗ θελήσῃ (lxx) Sos 2:7 7 ׃2 הִשְׁבַּ֨עְתִּי אֶתְכֶ֜ם בְּנ֤וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ בִּצְבָא֔וֹת א֖וֹ בְּאַיְל֣וֹת הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה אִם־תָּעִ֧ירוּ ׀ וְֽאִם־תְּעֽוֹרְר֛וּ אֶת־הָאַהֲבָ֖ה עַ֥ד שֶׁתֶּחְפָּֽץ׃ ס Sos Sos 2:7 Ich beschwöre euch, ihr Töchter Jerusalems, bei den Rehen oder bei den Hinden auf dem Felde, daß ihr meine Freundin nicht aufweckt noch regt, bis es ihr selbst gefällt.(dhs) Sos 2:7 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, By the gazelles or by the does of the field, Do not stir up nor awaken love Until it pleases.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:8 ============ Sos 2:8 "Listen! My beloved! Behold, he is coming, Climbing on the mountains, Leaping on the hills!(nas) Sos 2:8 φωνὴ ἀδελφιδοῦ μου ἰδοὺ οὗτος ἥκει πηδῶν ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη διαλλόμενος ἐπὶ τοὺς βουνούς (lxx) Sos 2:8 8 ׃2 ק֣וֹל דּוֹדִ֔י הִנֵּה־זֶ֖ה בָּ֑א מְדַלֵּג֙ עַל־הֶ֣הָרִ֔ים מְקַפֵּ֖ץ עַל־הַגְּבָעֽוֹת׃ Sos Sos 2:8 Da ist die Stimme meines Freundes! Siehe, er kommt und hüpft auf den Bergen und springt auf den Hügeln.(dhs) Sos 2:8 The Shulamite The voice of my beloved! Behold, he comes Leaping upon the mountains, Skipping upon the hills.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:9 ============ Sos 2:9 "My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, he is standing behind our wall, He is looking through the windows, He is peering through the lattice.(nas) Sos 2:9 ὅμοιός ἐστιν ἀδελφιδός μου τῇ δορκάδι ἢ νεβρῷ ἐλάφων ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη Βαιθηλ ἰδοὺ οὗτος ἕστηκεν ὀπίσω τοῦ τοίχου ἡμῶν παρακύπτων διὰ τῶν θυρίδων ἐκκύπτων διὰ τῶν δικτύων (lxx) Sos 2:9 Similis est dilectus meus capreæ, hinnuloque cervorum. En ipse stat post parietem nostrum, respiciens per fenestras, prospiciens per cancellos.(vulgate) 9 ׃2 דּוֹמֶ֤ה דוֹדִי֙ לִצְבִ֔י א֖וֹ לְעֹ֣פֶר הָֽאַיָּלִ֑ים הִנֵּה־זֶ֤ה עוֹמֵד֙ אַחַ֣ר כָּתְלֵ֔נוּ מַשְׁגִּ֙יחַ֙ מִן־הַֽחֲלֹּנ֔וֹת מֵצִ֖יץ מִן־הֽ͏ַחֲרַכִּֽים׃ Sos Sos 2:9 Mein Freund ist gleich einem Reh oder jungen Hirsch. Siehe, er steht hinter unsrer Wand, sieht durchs Fenster und schaut durchs Gitter.(dhs) Sos 2:9 My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, he stands behind our wall; He is looking through the windows, Gazing through the lattice.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:10 ============ Sos 2:10 "My beloved responded and said to me, 'Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, And come along.(nas) Sos 2:10 ἀποκρίνεται ἀδελφιδός μου καὶ λέγει μοι ἀνάστα ἐλθέ ἡ πλησίον μου καλή μου περιστερά μου (lxx) Sos 2:10 En dilectus meus loquitur mihi. 10 ׃2 עָנָ֥ה דוֹדִ֖י וְאָ֣מַר לִ֑י ק֥וּמִי לָ֛ךְ רַעְיָתִ֥י יָפָתִ֖י וּלְכִי־לָֽךְ׃ Sos Sos 2:10 Mein Freund antwortet und spricht zu mir: Stehe auf, meine Freundin, meine Schöne, und komm her!(dhs) Sos 2:10 My beloved spoke, and said to me: "Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:11 ============ Sos 2:11 'For behold, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone.(nas) Sos 2:11 ὅτι ἰδοὺ ὁ χειμὼν παρῆλθεν ὁ ὑετὸς ἀπῆλθεν ἐπορεύθη ἑαυτῷ (lxx) Sos 2:11 jam enim hiems transiit; imber abiit, et recessit.(vulgate) 11 ׃2 כִּֽי־הִנֵּ֥ה *הסתו **הַסְּתָ֖יו עָבָ֑ר הַגֶּ֕שֶׁם חָלַ֖ף הָלַ֥ךְ לֽוֹ׃ Sos Sos 2:11 Denn siehe, der Winter ist vergangen, der Regen ist weg und dahin;(dhs) Sos 2:11 For lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:12 ============ Sos 2:12 'The flowers have already appeared in the land; The time has arrived for pruning the vines, And the voice of the turtledove has been heard in our land.(nas) Sos 2:12 τὰ ἄνθη ὤφθη ἐν τῇ γῇ καιρὸς τῆς τομῆς ἔφθακεν φωνὴ τοῦ τρυγόνος ἠκούσθη ἐν τῇ γῇ ἡμῶν (lxx) Sos 2:12 Flores apparuerunt in terra nostra; tempus putationis advenit: vox turturis audita est in terra nostra;(vulgate) 12 ׃2 הַנִּצָּנִים֙ נִרְא֣וּ בָאָ֔רֶץ עֵ֥ת הַזָּמִ֖יר הִגִּ֑יעַ וְק֥וֹל הַתּ֖וֹר נִשְׁמַ֥ע בְּאַרְצֵֽנוּ׃ Sos Sos 2:12 die Blumen sind hervorgekommen im Lande, der Lenz ist herbeigekommen, und die Turteltaube läßt sich hören in unserm Lande;(dhs) Sos 2:12 The flowers appear on the earth; The time of singing has come, And the voice of the turtledove Is heard in our land.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:13 ============ Sos 2:13 'The fig tree has ripened its figs, And the vines in blossom have given forth their fragrance. Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, And come along!'"(nas) Sos 2:13 ἡ συκῆ ἐξήνεγκεν ὀλύνθους αὐτῆς αἱ ἄμπελοι κυπρίζουσιν ἔδωκαν ὀσμήν ἀνάστα ἐλθέ ἡ πλησίον μου καλή μου περιστερά μου (lxx) Sos 2:13 ficus protulit grossos suos; vineæ florentes dederunt odorem suum. Surge, amica mea, speciosa mea, et veni:(vulgate) 13 ׃2 הַתְּאֵנָה֙ חָֽנְטָ֣ה פַגֶּ֔יהָ וְהַגְּפָנִ֥ים ׀ סְמָדַ֖ר נָ֣תְנוּ רֵ֑יחַ ק֥וּמִי *לכי **לָ֛ךְ רַעְיָתִ֥י יָפָתִ֖י וּלְכִי־לָֽךְ׃ ס Sos Sos 2:13 der Feigenbaum hat Knoten gewonnen, die Weinstöcke haben Blüten gewonnen und geben ihren Geruch. Stehe auf, meine Freundin, und komm, meine Schöne, komm her!(dhs) Sos 2:13 The fig tree puts forth her green figs, And the vines with the tender grapes Give a good smell. Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away!(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:14 ============ Sos 2:14 "O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret place of the steep pathway, Let me see your form, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your form is lovely."(nas) Sos 2:14 καὶ ἐλθὲ σύ περιστερά μου ἐν σκέπῃ τῆς πέτρας ἐχόμενα τοῦ προτειχίσματος δεῖξόν μοι τὴν ὄψιν σου καὶ ἀκούτισόν με τὴν φωνήν σου ὅτι ἡ φωνή σου ἡδεῖα καὶ ἡ ὄψις σου ὡραία (lxx) Sos 2:14 columba mea, in foraminibus petræ, in caverna maceriæ, ostende mihi faciem tuam, sonet vox tua in auribus meis: vox enim tua dulcis, et facies tua decora.(vulgate) 14 ׃2 יוֹנָתִ֞י בְּחַגְוֵ֣י הַסֶּ֗לַע בְּסֵ֙תֶר֙ הַמַּדְרֵגָ֔ה הַרְאִ֙ינִי֙ אֶת־מַרְאַ֔יִךְ הַשְׁמִיעִ֖ינִי אֶת־קוֹלֵ֑ךְ כִּי־קוֹלֵ֥ךְ עָרֵ֖ב וּמַרְאֵ֥יךְ נָאוֶֽה׃ ס Sos Sos 2:14 Meine Taube in den Felsklüften, in den Steinritzen, zeige mir deine Gestalt, laß mich hören deine Stimme; denn die Stimme ist süß, und deine Gestalt ist lieblich.(dhs) Sos 2:14 "O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliff, Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely."(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:15 ============ Sos 2:15 "Catch the foxes for us, The little foxes that are ruining the vineyards, While our vineyards are in blossom."(nas) Sos 2:15 πιάσατε ἡμῖν ἀλώπεκας μικροὺς ἀφανίζοντας ἀμπελῶνας καὶ αἱ ἄμπελοι ἡμῶν κυπρίζουσιν (lxx) Sos 2:15 15 ׃2 אֶֽחֱזוּ־לָ֙נוּ֙ שֽׁוּעָלִ֔ים שֽׁוּעָלִ֥ים קְטַנִּ֖ים מְחַבְּלִ֣ים כְּרָמִ֑ים וּכְרָמֵ֖ינוּ סְמָדַֽר׃ Sos Sos 2:15 Fanget uns die Füchse, die kleinen Füchse, die die Weinberge verderben; denn unsere Weinberge haben Blüten gewonnen.(dhs) Sos 2:15 Her Brothers Catch us the foxes, The little foxes that spoil the vines, For our vines have tender grapes.(nkjv) ======= Song of Solomon 2:16 ============ Sos 2:16 "My beloved is mine, and I am his; He pastures his flock among the lilies.(nas) Sos 2:16 ἀδελφιδός μου ἐμοί κἀγὼ αὐτῷ ὁ ποιμαίνων ἐν τοῖς κρίνοις (lxx) Sos 2:16 Dilectus meus mihi, et ego illi, qui pascitur inter lilia,(vulgate) 16 ׃2 דּוֹדִ֥י לִי֙ וַאֲנִ֣י ל֔וֹ הָרֹעֶ֖ה בַּשּׁוֹשַׁנִּֽים׃ Sos Sos 2:16 Mein Freund ist mein, und ich bin sein, der unter Rosen weidet.(dhs) Sos 2:16 The Shulamite My beloved is mine, and I am his.
