Today's Date: 4/13/2025 ======= Lamentations 3:1 ============ Lam 3:1 I am the man who has seen affliction Because of the rod of His wrath.(nas) Lam 3:1 ἐγὼ ἀνὴρ ὁ βλέπων πτωχείαν ἐν ῥάβδῳ θυμοῦ αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ (lxx) Lam 3:1 [ 1 ׃3 אֲנִ֤י הַגֶּ֙בֶר֙ רָאָ֣ה עֳנִ֔י בְּשֵׁ֖בֶט עֶבְרָתֽוֹ׃ Lamentations Lam 3:1 Ich bin ein elender Mann, der die Rute seines Grimmes sehen muß.(dhs) Lam 3:1 I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of His wrath.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:2 ============ Lam 3:2 He has driven me and made me walk In darkness and not in light.(nas) Lam 3:2 παρέλαβέν με καὶ ἀπήγαγεν εἰς σκότος καὶ οὐ φῶς (lxx) Lam 3:2 2 ׃3 אוֹתִ֥י נָהַ֛ג וַיֹּלַ֖ךְ חֹ֥שֶׁךְ וְלֹא־אֽוֹר׃ Lamentations Lam 3:2 Er hat mich geführt und lassen gehen in die Finsternis und nicht in Licht.(dhs) Lam 3:2 He has led me and made me walk In darkness and not in light.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:3 ============ Lam 3:3 Surely against me He has turned His hand Repeatedly all the day.(nas) Lam 3:3 πλὴν ἐν ἐμοὶ ἐπέστρεψεν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν (lxx) Lam 3:3 3 ׃3 אַ֣ךְ בִּ֥י יָשֻׁ֛ב יַהֲפֹ֥ךְ יָד֖וֹ כָּל־הַיּֽוֹם׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:3 Er hat seine Hand gewendet wider mich und handelt gar anders mit mir für und für.(dhs) Lam 3:3 Surely He has turned His hand against me Time and time again throughout the day.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:4 ============ Lam 3:4 He has caused my flesh and my skin to waste away, He has broken my bones.(nas) Lam 3:4 ἐπαλαίωσεν σάρκας μου καὶ δέρμα μου ὀστέα μου συνέτριψεν (lxx) Lam 3:4 4 ׃3 בִּלָּ֤ה בְשָׂרִי֙ וְעוֹרִ֔י שִׁבַּ֖ר עַצְמוֹתָֽי׃ Lamentations Lam 3:4 Er hat mir Fleisch und Haut alt gemacht und mein Gebein zerschlagen.(dhs) Lam 3:4 He has aged my flesh and my skin, And broken my bones.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:5 ============ Lam 3:5 He has besieged and encompassed me with bitterness and hardship.(nas) Lam 3:5 ἀνῳκοδόμησεν κατ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐκύκλωσεν κεφαλήν μου καὶ ἐμόχθησεν (lxx) Lam 3:5 5 ׃3 בָּנָ֥ה עָלַ֛י וַיַּקַּ֖ף רֹ֥אשׁ וּתְלָאָֽה׃ Lamentations Lam 3:5 Er hat mich verbaut und mich mit Galle und Mühe umgeben.(dhs) Lam 3:5 He has besieged me And surrounded me with bitterness and woe.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:6 ============ Lam 3:6 In dark places He has made me dwell, Like those who have long been dead.(nas) Lam 3:6 ἐν σκοτεινοῖς ἐκάθισέν με ὡς νεκροὺς αἰῶνος (lxx) Lam 3:6 6 ׃3 בְּמַחֲשַׁכִּ֥ים הוֹשִׁיבַ֖נִי כְּמֵתֵ֥י עוֹלָֽם׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:6 Er hat mich in Finsternis gelegt wie die, so längst tot sind.(dhs) Lam 3:6 He has set me in dark places Like the dead of long ago.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:7 ============ Lam 3:7 He has walled me in so that I cannot go out; He has made my chain heavy.(nas) Lam 3:7 ἀνῳκοδόμησεν κατ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἐξελεύσομαι ἐβάρυνεν χαλκόν μου (lxx) Lam 3:7 7 ׃3 גָּדַ֧ר בַּעֲדִ֛י וְלֹ֥א אֵצֵ֖א הִכְבִּ֥יד נְחָשְׁתִּֽי׃ Lamentations Lam 3:7 Er hat mich vermauert, daß ich nicht heraus kann, und mich in harte Fesseln gelegt.(dhs) Lam 3:7 He has hedged me in so that I cannot get out; He has made my chain heavy.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:8 ============ Lam 3:8 Even when I cry out and call for help, He shuts out my prayer.(nas) Lam 3:8 καί γε κεκράξομαι καὶ βοήσω ἀπέφραξεν προσευχήν μου (lxx) Lam 3:8 8 ׃3 גַּ֣ם כִּ֤י אֶזְעַק֙ וַאֲשַׁוֵּ֔עַ שָׂתַ֖ם תְּפִלָּתִֽי׃ Lamentations Lam 3:8 Und wenn ich gleich schreie und rufe, so stopft er die Ohren zu vor meinem Gebet.(dhs) Lam 3:8 Even when I cry and shout, He shuts out my prayer.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:9 ============ Lam 3:9 He has blocked my ways with hewn stone; He has made my paths crooked.(nas) Lam 3:9 ἀνῳκοδόμησεν ὁδούς μου ἐνέφραξεν τρίβους μου ἐτάραξεν (lxx) Lam 3:9 9 ׃3 גָּדַ֤ר דְּרָכַי֙ בְּגָזִ֔ית נְתִיבֹתַ֖י עִוָּֽה׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:9 Er hat meinen Weg vermauert mit Werkstücken und meinen Steig umgekehrt.(dhs) Lam 3:9 He has blocked my ways with hewn stone; He has made my paths crooked.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:10 ============ Lam 3:10 He is to me like a bear lying in wait, Like a lion in secret places.(nas) Lam 3:10 ἄρκος ἐνεδρεύουσα αὐτός μοι λέων ἐν κρυφαίοις (lxx) Lam 3:10 10 ׃3 דֹּ֣ב אֹרֵ֥ב הוּא֙ לִ֔י *אריה **אֲרִ֖י בְּמִסְתָּרִֽים׃ Lamentations Lam 3:10 Er hat auf mich gelauert wie ein Bär, wie ein Löwe im Verborgenen.(dhs) Lam 3:10 He has been to me a bear lying in wait, Like a lion in ambush.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:11 ============ Lam 3:11 He has turned aside my ways and torn me to pieces; He has made me desolate.(nas) Lam 3:11 κατεδίωξεν ἀφεστηκότα καὶ κατέπαυσέν με ἔθετό με ἠφανισμένην (lxx) Lam 3:11 11 ׃3 דְּרָכַ֥י סוֹרֵ֛ר וַֽיְפַשְּׁחֵ֖נִי שָׂמַ֥נִי שֹׁמֵֽם׃ Lamentations Lam 3:11 Er läßt mich des Weges fehlen. Er hat mich zerstückt und zunichte gemacht.(dhs) Lam 3:11 He has turned aside my ways and torn me in pieces; He has made me desolate.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:12 ============ Lam 3:12 He bent His bow And set me as a target for the arrow.(nas) Lam 3:12 ἐνέτεινεν τόξον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐστήλωσέν με ὡς σκοπὸν εἰς βέλος (lxx) Lam 3:12 12 ׃3 דָּרַ֤ךְ קַשְׁתוֹ֙ וַיַּצִּיבֵ֔נִי כַּמַּטָּרָ֖א לַחֵֽץ׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:12 Er hat seinen Bogen gespannt und mich dem Pfeil zum Ziel gesteckt.(dhs) Lam 3:12 He has bent His bow And set me up as a target for the arrow.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:13 ============ Lam 3:13 He made the arrows of His quiver To enter into my inward parts.(nas) Lam 3:13 εἰσήγαγεν τοῖς νεφροῖς μου ἰοὺς φαρέτρας αὐτοῦ (lxx) Lam 3:13 13 ׃3 הֵבִיא֙ בְּכִלְיוֹתָ֔י בְּנֵ֖י אַשְׁפָּתֽוֹ׃ Lamentations Lam 3:13 Er hat aus dem Köcher in meine Nieren schießen lassen.(dhs) Lam 3:13 He has caused the arrows of His quiver To pierce my loins.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:14 ============ Lam 3:14 I have become a laughingstock to all my people, Their mocking song all the day.(nas) Lam 3:14 ἐγενήθην γέλως παντὶ λαῷ μου ψαλμὸς αὐτῶν ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν (lxx) Lam 3:14 14 ׃3 הָיִ֤יתִי שְּׂחֹק֙ לְכָל־עַמִּ֔י נְגִינָתָ֖ם כָּל־הַיּֽוֹם׃ Lamentations Lam 3:14 Ich bin ein Spott allem meinem Volk und täglich ihr Liedlein.(dhs) Lam 3:14 I have become the ridicule of all my people-- Their taunting song all the day.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:15 ============ Lam 3:15 He has filled me with bitterness, He has made me drunk with wormwood.(nas) Lam 3:15 ἐχόρτασέν με πικρίας ἐμέθυσέν με χολῆς (lxx) Lam 3:15 15 ׃3 הִשְׂבִּיעַ֥נִי בַמְּרוֹרִ֖ים הִרְוַ֥נִי לַעֲנָֽה׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:15 Er hat mich mit Bitterkeit gesättigt und mit Wermut getränkt.(dhs) Lam 3:15 He has filled me with bitterness, He has made me drink wormwood.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:16 ============ Lam 3:16 He has broken my teeth with gravel; He has made me cower in the dust.(nas) Lam 3:16 καὶ ἐξέβαλεν ψήφῳ ὀδόντας μου ἐψώμισέν με σποδόν (lxx) Lam 3:16 16 ׃3 וַיַּגְרֵ֤ס בֶּֽחָצָץ֙ שִׁנָּ֔י הִכְפִּישַׁ֖נִי בָּאֵֽפֶר׃ Lamentations Lam 3:16 Er hat meine Zähne zu kleinen Stücken zerschlagen. Er wälzt mich in der Asche.(dhs) Lam 3:16 He has also broken my teeth with gravel, And covered me with ashes.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:17 ============ Lam 3:17 My soul has been rejected from peace; I have forgotten happiness.(nas) Lam 3:17 καὶ ἀπώσατο ἐξ εἰρήνης ψυχήν μου ἐπελαθόμην ἀγαθὰ (lxx) Lam 3:17 17 ׃3 וַתִּזְנַ֧ח מִשָּׁל֛וֹם נַפְשִׁ֖י נָשִׁ֥יתִי טוֹבָֽה׃ Lamentations Lam 3:17 Meine Seele ist aus dem Frieden vertrieben; ich muß des Guten vergessen.(dhs) Lam 3:17 You have moved my soul far from peace; I have forgotten prosperity.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:18 ============ Lam 3:18 So I say, "My strength has perished, And so has my hope from the Lord."(nas) Lam 3:18 καὶ εἶπα ἀπώλετο νεῖκός μου καὶ ἡ ἐλπίς μου ἀπὸ κυρίου (lxx) Lam 3:18 18 ׃3 וָאֹמַר֙ אָבַ֣ד נִצְחִ֔י וְתוֹחַלְתִּ֖י מֵיְהוָֽה׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:18 Ich sprach: Mein Vermögen ist dahin und meine Hoffnung auf den HERRN.(dhs) Lam 3:18 And I said, "My strength and my hope Have perished from the Lord."(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:19 ============ Lam 3:19 Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and bitterness.(nas) Lam 3:19 ἐμνήσθην ἀπὸ πτωχείας μου καὶ ἐκ διωγμοῦ μου πικρίας καὶ χολῆς μου (lxx) Lam 3:19 19 ׃3 זְכָר־עָנְיִ֥י וּמְרוּדִ֖י לַעֲנָ֥ה וָרֹֽאשׁ׃ Lamentations Lam 3:19 Gedenke doch, wie ich so elend und verlassen, mit Wermut und Galle getränkt bin!(dhs) Lam 3:19 Remember my affliction and roaming, The wormwood and the gall.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:20 ============ Lam 3:20 Surely my soul remembers And is bowed down within me.(nas) Lam 3:20 μνησθήσεται καὶ καταδολεσχήσει ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἡ ψυχή μου (lxx) Lam 3:20 20 ׃3 זָכ֣וֹר תִּזְכּ֔וֹר *ותשיח **וְתָשׁ֥וֹחַ עָלַ֖י נַפְשִֽׁי׃ Lamentations Lam 3:20 Du wirst ja daran gedenken; denn meine Seele sagt mir es.(dhs) Lam 3:20 My soul still remembers And sinks within me.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:21 ============ Lam 3:21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope.(nas) Lam 3:21 ταύτην τάξω εἰς τὴν καρδίαν μου διὰ τοῦτο ὑπομενῶ (lxx) Lam 3:21 21 ׃3 זֹ֛את אָשִׁ֥יב אֶל־לִבִּ֖י עַל־כֵּ֥ן אוֹחִֽיל׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:21 Das nehme ich zu Herzen, darum hoffe ich noch.(dhs) Lam 3:21 This I recall to my mind, 3:22 Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:23 ============ Lam 3:23 They are new every morning; Great is Your Him.(nas) Lam 3:25 ἀγαθὸς κύριος τοῖς ὑπομένουσιν αὐτόν ψυχῇ ἣ ζητήσει αὐτὸν ἀγαθὸν (lxx) Lam 3:25 25 ׃3 ט֤וֹב יְהוָה֙ לְקֹוָ֔ו לְנֶ֖פֶשׁ תִּדְרְשֶֽׁנּוּ׃ Lamentations Lam 3:25 Denn der HERR ist freundlich dem, der auf ihn harrt, und der Seele, die nach ihm fragt.(dhs) Lam 3:25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:26 ============ Lam 3:26 It is good that he waits silently For the salvation of the Lord.(nas) Lam 3:26 καὶ ὑπομενεῖ καὶ ἡσυχάσει εἰς τὸ σωτήριον κυρίου (lxx) Lam 3:26 26 ׃3 ט֤וֹב וְיָחִיל֙ וְדוּמָ֔ם לִתְשׁוּעַ֖ת יְהוָֽה׃ Lamentations Lam 3:26 Es ist ein köstlich Ding, geduldig sein und auf die Hilfe des HERRN hoffen.(dhs) Lam 3:26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:27 ============ Lam 3:27 It is good for a man that he should bear The yoke in his youth.(nas) Lam 3:27 ἀγαθὸν ἀνδρὶ ὅταν ἄρῃ ζυγὸν ἐν νεότητι αὐτοῦ (lxx) Lam 3:27 27 ׃3 ט֣וֹב לַגֶּ֔בֶר כִּֽי־יִשָּׂ֥א עֹ֖ל בִּנְעוּרָֽיו׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:27 Es ist ein köstlich Ding einem Mann, daß er das Joch in seiner Jugend trage;(dhs) Lam 3:27 It is good for a man to bear The yoke in his youth.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:28 ============ Lam 3:28 Let him sit alone and be silent Since He has laid it on him.(nas) Lam 3:28 καθήσεται κατὰ μόνας καὶ σιωπήσεται ὅτι ἦρεν ἐφ᾽ ἑαυτῷ (lxx) Lam 3:28 28 ׃3 יֵשֵׁ֤ב בָּדָד֙ וְיִדֹּ֔ם כִּ֥י נָטַ֖ל עָלָֽיו׃ Lamentations Lam 3:28 daß ein Verlassener geduldig sei, wenn ihn etwas überfällt,(dhs) Lam 3:28 Let him sit alone and keep silent, Because God has laid it on him;(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:29 ============ Lam 3:29 Let him put his mouth in the dust, Perhaps there is hope.(nas) Lam 3:29 vs not in LXX (lxx) Lam 3:29 29 ׃3 יִתֵּ֤ן בֶּֽעָפָר֙ פִּ֔יהוּ אוּלַ֖י יֵ֥שׁ תִּקְוָֽה׃ Lamentations Lam 3:29 und seinen Mund in den Staub stecke und der Hoffnung warte(dhs) Lam 3:29 Let him put his mouth in the dust-- There may yet be hope.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:30 ============ Lam 3:30 Let him give his cheek to the smiter, Let him be filled with reproach.(nas) Lam 3:30 δώσει τῷ παίοντι αὐτὸν σιαγόνα χορτασθήσεται ὀνειδισμῶν (lxx) Lam 3:30 30 ׃3 יִתֵּ֧ן לְמַכֵּ֛הוּ לֶ֖חִי יִשְׂבַּ֥ע בְּחֶרְפָּֽה׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:30 und lasse sich auf die Backen schlagen und viel Schmach anlegen.(dhs) Lam 3:30 Let him give his cheek to the one who strikes him, And be full of reproach.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:31 ============ Lam 3:31 For the Lord will not reject forever,(nas) Lam 3:31 ὅτι οὐκ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἀπώσεται κύριος (lxx) Lam 3:31 31 ׃3 כִּ֣י לֹ֥א יִזְנַ֛ח לְעוֹלָ֖ם אֲדֹנָֽי׃ Lamentations Lam 3:31 Denn der HERR verstößt nicht ewiglich;(dhs) Lam 3:31 For the Lord will not cast off forever.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:32 ============ Lam 3:32 For if He causes grief, Then He will have compassion According to His abundant lovingkindness.(nas) Lam 3:32 ὅτι ὁ ταπεινώσας οἰκτιρήσει κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τοῦ ἐλέους αὐτοῦ (lxx) Lam 3:32 32 ׃3 כִּ֣י אִם־הוֹגָ֔ה וְרִחַ֖ם כְּרֹ֥ב *חסדו **חֲסָדָֽיו׃ Lamentations Lam 3:32 sondern er betrübt wohl, und erbarmt sich wieder nach seiner Güte.(dhs) Lam 3:32 Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion According to the multitude of His mercies.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:33 ============ Lam 3:33 For He does not afflict willingly Or grieve the sons of men.(nas) Lam 3:33 ὅτι οὐκ ἀπεκρίθη ἀπὸ καρδίας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐταπείνωσεν υἱοὺς ἀνδρός (lxx) Lam 3:33 33 ׃3 כִּ֣י לֹ֤א עִנָּה֙ מִלִבּ֔וֹ וַיַּגֶּ֖ה בְ[t]נֵי־אִֽישׁ׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:33 Denn er nicht von Herzen die Menschen plagt und betrübt,(dhs) Lam 3:33 For He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:34 ============ Lam 3:34 To crush under His feet All the prisoners of the land,(nas) Lam 3:34 τοῦ ταπεινῶσαι ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ πάντας δεσμίους γῆς (lxx) Lam 3:34 34 ׃3 לְדַכֵּא֙ תַּ֣חַת רַגְלָ֔יו כֹּ֖ל אֲסִ֥ירֵי אָֽרֶץ׃ Lamentations Lam 3:34 als wollte er die Gefangenen auf Erden gar unter seine Füße zertreten(dhs) Lam 3:34 To crush under one's feet All the prisoners of the earth,(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:35 ============ Lam 3:35 To deprive a man of justice In the presence of the Most High,(nas) Lam 3:35 τοῦ ἐκκλῖναι κρίσιν ἀνδρὸς κατέναντι προσώπου ὑψίστου (lxx) Lam 3:35 35 ׃3 לְהַטּוֹת֙ מִשְׁפַּט־גָּ֔בֶר נֶ֖גֶד פְּנֵ֥י עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ Lamentations Lam 3:35 und eines Mannes Recht vor dem Allerhöchsten beugen lassen(dhs) Lam 3:35 To turn aside the justice due a man Before the face of the Most High,(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:36 ============ Lam 3:36 To defraud a man in his lawsuit-- Of these things the Lord does not approve.(nas) Lam 3:36 καταδικάσαι ἄνθρωπον ἐν τῷ κρίνεσθαι αὐτὸν κύριος οὐκ εἶπεν (lxx) Lam 3:36 36 ׃3 לְעַוֵּ֤ת אָדָם֙ בְּרִיב֔וֹ אֲדֹנָ֖י לֹ֥א רָאָֽה׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:36 und eines Menschen Sache verkehren lassen, gleich als sähe es der HERR nicht.(dhs) Lam 3:36 Or subvert a man in his cause-- The Lord does not approve.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:37 ============ Lam 3:37 Who is there who speaks and it comes to pass, Unless the Lord has commanded it?(nas) Lam 3:37 τίς οὕτως εἶπεν should any living mortal, or any man, Offer complaint in view of his sins?(nas) Lam 3:39 τί γογγύσει ἄνθρωπος ζῶν ἀνὴρ περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας αὐτοῦ (lxx) Lam 3:39 39 ׃3 מַה־יִּתְאוֹנֵן֙ אָדָ֣ם חָ֔י גֶּ֖בֶר עַל־*חטאו **חֲטָאָֽיו׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:39 Wie murren denn die Leute im Leben also? Ein jeglicher murre wider seine Sünde!(dhs) Lam 3:39 Why should a living man complain, A man for the punishment of his sins?(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:40 ============ Lam 3:40 Let us examine and probe our ways, And let us return to the Lord.(nas) Lam 3:40 ἐξηρευνήθη ἡ ὁδὸς ἡμῶν καὶ ἠτάσθη καὶ ἐπιστρέψωμεν ἕως κυρίου (lxx) Lam 3:40 40 ׃3 נַחְפְּשָׂ֤ה דְרָכֵ֙ינוּ֙ וְֽנַחְקֹ֔רָה וְנָשׁ֖וּבָה עַד־יְהוָֽה׃ Lamentations Lam 3:40 Und laßt uns erforschen und prüfen unser Wesen und uns zum HERRN bekehren!(dhs) Lam 3:40 Let us search out and examine our ways, And turn back to the Lord;(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:41 ============ Lam 3:41 We lift up our heart and hands Toward God in heaven;(nas) Lam 3:41 ἀναλάβωμεν καρδίας ἡμῶν ἐπὶ χειρῶν πρὸς ὑψηλὸν ἐν οὐρανῷ (lxx) Lam 3:41 41 ׃3 נִשָּׂ֤א לְבָבֵ֙נוּ֙ אֶל־כַּפָּ֔יִם אֶל־אֵ֖ל בַּשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ Lamentations Lam 3:41 Laßt uns unser Herz samt den Händen aufheben zu Gott im Himmel!(dhs) Lam 3:41 Let us lift our hearts and hands To God in heaven.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:42 ============ Lam 3:42 We have transgressed and rebelled, You have not pardoned.(nas) Lam 3:42 ἡμαρτήσαμεν ἠσεβήσαμεν καὶ οὐχ ἱλάσθης (lxx) Lam 3:42 42 ׃3 נַ֤חְנוּ פָשַׁ֙עְנוּ֙ וּמָרִ֔ינוּ אַתָּ֖ה לֹ֥א סָלָֽחְתָּ׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:42 Wir, wir haben gesündigt und sind ungehorsam gewesen; darum hast du billig nicht verschont;(dhs) Lam 3:42 We have transgressed and rebelled; You have not pardoned.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:43 ============ Lam 3:43 You have covered Yourself with anger And pursued us; You have slain and have not spared.(nas) Lam 3:43 ἐπεσκέπασας ἐν θυμῷ καὶ ἀπεδίωξας ἡμᾶς ἀπέκτεινας οὐκ ἐφείσω (lxx) Lam 3:43 43 ׃3 סַכֹּ֤תָה בָאַף֙ וַֽתִּרְדְּפֵ֔נוּ הָרַ֖גְתָּ לֹ֥א חָמָֽלְתָּ׃ Lamentations Lam 3:43 sondern du hast uns mit Zorn überschüttet und verfolgt und ohne Barmherzigkeit erwürgt.(dhs) Lam 3:43 You have covered Yourself with anger And pursued us; You have slain and not pitied.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:44 ============ Lam 3:44 You have covered Yourself with a cloud So that no prayer can pass through.(nas) Lam 3:44 ἐπεσκέπασας νεφέλην σεαυτῷ εἵνεκεν προσευχῆς (lxx) Lam 3:44 44 ׃3 סַכּ֤וֹתָה בֶֽעָנָן֙ לָ֔ךְ מֵעֲב֖וֹר תְּפִלָּֽה׃ Lamentations Lam 3:44 Du hast dich mit einer Wolke verdeckt, daß kein Gebet hindurch konnte.(dhs) Lam 3:44 You have covered Yourself with a cloud, That prayer should not pass through.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:45 ============ Lam 3:45 You have made us mere offscouring and refuse In the midst of the peoples.(nas) Lam 3:45 καμμύσαι με καὶ ἀπωσθῆναι ἔθηκας ἡμᾶς ἐν μέσῳ τῶν λαῶν (lxx) Lam 3:45 45 ׃3 סְחִ֧י וּמָא֛וֹס תְּשִׂימֵ֖נוּ בְּקֶ֥רֶב הָעַמִּֽים׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:45 Du hast uns zu Kot und Unflat gemacht unter den Völkern.(dhs) Lam 3:45 You have made us an offscouring and refuse In the midst of the peoples.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:46 ============ Lam 3:46 All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.(nas) Lam 3:46 διήνοιξαν ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς τὸ στόμα αὐτῶν πάντες οἱ ἐχθροὶ ἡμῶν (lxx) Lam 3:46 46 ׃3 פָּצ֥וּ עָלֵ֛ינוּ פִּיהֶ֖ם כָּל־אֹיְבֵֽינוּ׃ Lamentations Lam 3:46 Alle unsre Feinde sperren ihr Maul auf wider uns.(dhs) Lam 3:46 All our enemies Have opened their mouths against us.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:47 ============ Lam 3:47 Panic and pitfall have befallen us, Devastation and destruction;(nas) Lam 3:47 φόβος καὶ θυμὸς ἐγενήθη ἡμῖν ἔπαρσις καὶ συντριβή (lxx) Lam 3:47 47 ׃3 פַּ֧חַד וָפַ֛חַת הָ֥יָה לָ֖נוּ הַשֵּׁ֥את וְהַשָּֽׁבֶר׃ Lamentations Lam 3:47 Wir werden gedrückt und geplagt mit Schrecken und Angst.(dhs) Lam 3:47 Fear and a snare have come upon us, Desolation and destruction.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:48 ============ Lam 3:48 My eyes run down with streams of water Because of the destruction of the daughter of my people.(nas) Lam 3:48 ἀφέσεις ὑδάτων κατάξει ὁ ὀφθαλμός μου ἐπὶ τὸ σύντριμμα τῆς θυγατρὸς τοῦ λαοῦ μου (lxx) Lam 3:48 48 ׃3 פַּלְגֵי־מַ֙יִם֙ תֵּרַ֣ד עֵינִ֔י עַל־שֶׁ֖בֶר בַּת־עַמִּֽי׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:48 Meine Augen rinnen mit Wasserbächen über den Jammer der Tochter meines Volks.(dhs) Lam 3:48 My eyes overflow with rivers of water For the destruction of the daughter of my people.(nkjv) ======= Lamentations 3:49 ============ Lam 3:49 My eyes pour down unceasingly, Without stopping,(nas) Lam 3:49 ὁ ὀφθαλμός μου κατεπόθη καὶ οὐ σιγήσομαι τοῦ μὴ εἶναι ἔκνηψιν (lxx) Lam 3:49 49 ׃3 עֵינִ֧י נִגְּרָ֛ה וְלֹ֥א תִדְמֶ֖ה מֵאֵ֥ין הֲפֻגֽוֹת׃ Lamentations Lam 3:49 Meine Augen fließen und können nicht ablassen; I said, "I am cut off!"(nas) Lam 3:54 ὑπερεχύθη ὕδωρ ἐπὶ κεφαλήν μου εἶπα ἀπῶσμαι (lxx) Lam 3:54 54 ׃3 צָֽפוּ־מַ֥יִם עַל־רֹאשִׁ֖י אָמַ֥רְתִּי נִגְזָֽרְתִּי׃ ס Lamentations Lam 3:54 sie haben mein Haupt mit Wasser überschüttet;
