Today's Date: ======= Micah 2:1 ============ Mic 2:1 Woe to those who scheme iniquity, Who work out evil on their beds! When morning comes, they do it, For it is in the power of their hands.(nas) Mic 2:1 ἐγένοντο λογιζόμενοι κόπους καὶ ἐργαζόμενοι κακὰ ἐν ταῖς κοίταις αὐτῶν καὶ ἅμα τῇ ἡμέρᾳ συνετέλουν αὐτά διότι οὐκ ἦραν πρὸς τὸν θεὸν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν (lxx) Mic 2:1 [Væ qui cogitatis inutile, et operamini malum in cubilibus vestris! In luce matutina faciunt illud, quoniam contra Deum est manus eorum.(vulgate) 1 ׃2 ה֧וֹי חֹֽשְׁבֵי־אָ֛וֶן וּפֹ֥עֲלֵי רָ֖ע עַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָ֑ם בְּא֤וֹר הַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ יַעֲשׂ֔וּהָ כִּ֥י יֶשׁ־לְאֵ֖ל יָדָֽם׃ Micah Mic 2:1 Weh denen, die Schaden zu tun trachten und gehen mit bösen Tücken um auf ihrem Lager, daß sie es früh, wenn's licht wird, vollbringen, weil sie die Macht haben.(dhs) Mic 2:1 Woe to those who devise iniquity, And work out evil on their beds! At morning light they practice it, Because it is in the power of their hand.(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:2 ============ Mic 2:2 They covet fields and then seize them, And houses, and take them away. They rob a man and his house, A man and his inheritance.(nas) Mic 2:2 καὶ ἐπεθύμουν ἀγροὺς καὶ διήρπαζον ὀρφανοὺς καὶ οἴκους κατεδυνάστευον καὶ διήρπαζον ἄνδρα καὶ τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ ἄνδρα καὶ τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Mic 2:2 Et concupierunt agros, et violenter tulerunt: et rapuerunt domos, et calumniabantur virum, et domum ejus: virum, et hæreditatem ejus.(vulgate) 2 ׃2 וְחָמְד֤וּ שָׂדוֹת֙ וְגָזָ֔לוּ וּבָתִּ֖ים וְנָשָׂ֑אוּ וְעָֽשְׁקוּ֙ גֶּ֣בֶר וּבֵית֔וֹ וְאִ֖ישׁ וְנַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃ פ Micah Mic 2:2 Sie reißen Äcker an sich und nehmen Häuser, welche sie gelüstet; also treiben sie Gewalt mit eines jeden Hause und mit eines jeden Erbe.(dhs) Mic 2:2 They covet fields and take them by violence, Also houses, and seize them. So they oppress a man and his house, A man and his inheritance.(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:3 ============ Mic 2:3 Therefore thus says the Lord, "Behold, I am planning against this family a calamity From which you cannot remove your necks; And you will not walk haughtily, For it will be an evil time.(nas) Mic 2:3 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ λογίζομαι ἐπὶ τὴν φυλὴν ταύτην κακά ἐξ ὧν οὐ μὴ ἄρητε τοὺς τραχήλους ὑμῶν καὶ οὐ μὴ πορευθῆτε ὀρθοὶ ἐξαίφνης ὅτι καιρὸς πονηρός ἐστιν (lxx) Mic 2:3 Idcirco hæc dicit Dominus: Ecce ego cogito super familiam istam malum, unde non auferetis colla vestra, et non ambulabitis superbi: quoniam tempus pessimum est.(vulgate) 3 ׃2 לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֥י חֹשֵׁ֛ב עַל־הַמִּשְׁפָּחָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את רָעָ֑ה אֲ֠שֶׁר לֹֽא־תָמִ֨ישׁוּ מִשָּׁ֜ם צַוְּארֹֽתֵיכֶ֗ם וְלֹ֤א תֵֽלְכוּ֙ רוֹמָ֔ה כִּ֛י עֵ֥ת רָעָ֖ה הִֽיא׃ Micah Mic 2:3 Darum spricht der HERR also: Siehe, ich gedenke über dies Geschlecht Böses, daß ihr euren Hals nicht daraus ziehen und daß ihr nicht so stolz dahergehen sollt; denn es soll eine böse Zeit sein.(dhs) Mic 2:3 Therefore thus says the Lord: "Behold, against this family I am devising disaster, From which you cannot remove your necks; Nor shall you walk haughtily, For this is an evil time.(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:4 ============ Mic 2:4 "On that day they will take up against you a taunt And utter a bitter lamentation and say, 'We are completely destroyed! He exchanges the portion of my people; How He removes it from me! To the apostate He apportions our fields.'(nas) Mic 2:4 ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ λημφθήσεται ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς παραβολή καὶ θρηνηθήσεται θρῆνος ἐν μέλει λέγων ταλαιπωρίᾳ ἐταλαιπωρήσαμεν μερὶς λαοῦ μου κατεμετρήθη ἐν σχοινίῳ καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ κωλύσων αὐτὸν τοῦ ἀποστρέψαι οἱ ἀγροὶ ἡμῶν διεμερίσθησαν (lxx) Mic 2:4 In die illa sumetur super vos parabola, et cantabitur canticum cum suavitate, dicentium: Depopulatione vastati sumus; pars populi mei commutata est: quomodo recedet a me, cum revertatur, qui regiones nostras dividat?(vulgate) 4 ׃2 בַּיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא יִשָּׂ֧א עֲלֵיכֶ֣ם מָשָׁ֗ל וְנָהָ֨ה נְהִ֤י נִֽהְיָה֙ אָמַר֙ שָׁד֣וֹד נְשַׁדֻּ֔נוּ חֵ֥לֶק עַמִּ֖י יָמִ֑יר אֵ֚יךְ יָמִ֣ישׁ לִ֔י לְשׁוֹבֵ֥ב שָׂדֵ֖ינוּ יְחַלֵּֽק׃ Micah Mic 2:4 Zur selben Zeit wird man einen Spruch von euch machen und klagen: Es ist aus (wird man sagen), wir sind verstört. Meines Volkes Land wird eines fremden Herrn. Wann wird er uns die Äcker wieder zuteilen, die er uns genommen hat?(dhs) Mic 2:4 In that day one shall take up a proverb against you, And lament with a bitter lamentation, saying: 'We are utterly destroyed! He has changed the heritage of my people; How He has removed it from me! To a turncoat He has divided our fields.' "(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:5 ============ Mic 2:5 "Therefore you will have no one stretching a measuring line For you by lot in the assembly of the Lord.(nas) Mic 2:5 διὰ τοῦτο οὐκ ἔσται σοι βάλλων σχοινίον ἐν κλήρῳ ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ κυρίου (lxx) Mic 2:5 Propter hoc non erit tibi mittens funiculum sortis in cœtu Domini.(vulgate) 5 ׃2 לָכֵן֙ לֹֽא־יִֽהְיֶ֣ה לְךָ֔ מַשְׁלִ֥יךְ חֶ֖בֶל בְּגוֹרָ֑ל בִּקְהַ֖ל יְהוָֽה׃ Micah Mic 2:5 Jawohl, ihr werdet keinen Teil behalten in der Gemeinde des HERRN.(dhs) Mic 2:5 Therefore you will have no one to determine boundaries by lot In the assembly of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:6 ============ Mic 2:6 'Do not speak out, 'so they speak out. But if they do not speak out concerning these things, Reproaches will not be turned back.(nas) Mic 2:6 μὴ κλαίετε δάκρυσιν μηδὲ δακρυέτωσαν ἐπὶ τούτοις οὐ γὰρ ἀπώσεται ὀνείδη (lxx) Mic 2:6 Ne loquamini loquentes; non stillabit super istos, non comprehendet confusio.(vulgate) 6 ׃2 אַל־תַּטִּ֖פוּ יַטִּיפ֑וּן לֹֽא־יַטִּ֣פוּ לָאֵ֔לֶּה לֹ֥א יִסַּ֖ג כְּלִמּֽוֹת׃ Micah Mic 2:6 Predigt nicht! predigen sie, denn solche Predigt trifft uns nicht; wir werden nicht so zu Schanden werden.(dhs) Mic 2:6 "Do not prattle," you say to those who prophesy. So they shall not prophesy to you; They shall not return insult for insult.(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:7 ============ Mic 2:7 "Is it being said, O house of Jacob: 'Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these His doings?' Do not My words do good To the one walking uprightly?(nas) Mic 2:7 ὁ λέγων οἶκος Ιακωβ παρώργισεν πνεῦμα κυρίου εἰ ταῦτα τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτοῦ ἐστιν οὐχ οἱ λόγοι αὐτοῦ εἰσιν καλοὶ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ὀρθοὶ πεπόρευνται (lxx) Mic 2:7 Dicit domus Jacob: Numquid abbreviatus est spiritus Domini, aut tales sunt cogitationes ejus? nonne verba mea bona sunt cum eo qui recte graditur?(vulgate) 7 ׃2 הֶאָמ֣וּר בֵּֽית־יַעֲקֹ֗ב הֲקָצַר֙ ר֣וּחַ יְהוָ֔ה אִם־אֵ֖לֶּה מַעֲלָלָ֑יו הֲל֤וֹא דְבָרַי֙ יֵיטִ֔יבוּ עִ֖ם הַיָּשָׁ֥ר הוֹלֵֽךְ׃ Micah Mic 2:7 Das Haus Jakob tröstet sich also: Meinst du, der HERR sei schnell zum Zorn? Sollte er solches tun wollen? Es ist wahr, meine Reden sind freundlich den Frommen.(dhs) Mic 2:7 You who are named the house of Jacob: "Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good To him who walks uprightly?(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:8 ============ Mic 2:8 "Recently My people have arisen as an enemy" You strip the robe off the garment From unsuspecting passers-by, From those returned from war.(nas) Mic 2:8 καὶ ἔμπροσθεν ὁ λαός μου εἰς ἔχθραν ἀντέστη κατέναντι τῆς εἰρήνης αὐτοῦ τὴν δορὰν αὐτοῦ ἐξέδειραν τοῦ ἀφελέσθαι ἐλπίδα συντριμμὸν πολέμου (lxx) Mic 2:8 et e contrario populus meus in adversarium consurrexit. Desuper tunica pallium sustulistis: et eos qui transibant simpliciter convertistis in bellum.(vulgate) 8 ׃2 וְאֶתְמ֗וּל עַמִּי֙ לְאוֹיֵ֣ב יְקוֹמֵ֔ם מִמּ֣וּל שַׂלְמָ֔ה אֶ֖דֶר תַּפְשִׁט֑וּן מֵעֹבְרִ֣ים בֶּ֔טַח שׁוּבֵ֖י מִלְחָמָֽה׃ Micah Mic 2:8 Aber mein Volk hat sich aufgemacht wie ein Feind, denn sie rauben beides, Rock und Mantel, denen, so sicher dahergehen, gleich wie die, so aus dem Kriege kommen.(dhs) Mic 2:8 "Lately My people have risen up as an enemy-- You pull off the robe with the garment From those who trust you, as they pass by, Like men returned from war.(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:9 ============ Mic 2:9 "The women of My people you evict, Each one from her pleasant house. From her children you take My splendor forever.(nas) Mic 2:9 διὰ τοῦτο ἡγούμενοι λαοῦ μου ἀπορριφήσονται ἐκ τῶν οἰκιῶν τρυφῆς αὐτῶν διὰ τὰ πονηρὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτῶν ἐξώσθησαν ἐγγίσατε ὄρεσιν αἰωνίοις (lxx) Mic 2:9 Mulieres populi mei ejecistis de domo deliciarum suarum; a parvulis earum tulistis laudem meam in perpetuum.(vulgate) 9 ׃2 נְשֵׁ֤י עַמִּי֙ תְּגָ֣רְשׁ֔וּן מִבֵּ֖ית תַּֽעֲנֻגֶ֑יהָ מֵעַל֙ עֹֽלָלֶ֔יהָ תִּקְח֥וּ הֲדָרִ֖י לְעוֹלָֽם׃ Micah Mic 2:9 Ihr treibt die Weiber meines Volkes aus ihren lieben Häusern und nehmt von ihren jungen Kindern meinen Schmuck auf immer.(dhs) Mic 2:9 The women of My people you cast out From their pleasant houses; From their children You have taken away My glory forever.(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:10 ============ Mic 2:10 "Arise and go, For this is no place of rest Because of the uncleanness that brings on destruction, A painful destruction.(nas) Mic 2:10 ἀνάστηθι καὶ πορεύου ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν σοι αὕτη ἡ ἀνάπαυσις ἕνεκεν ἀκαθαρσίας διεφθάρητε φθορᾷ (lxx) Mic 2:10 Surgite, et ite, quia non habetis hic requiem: propter immunditiam ejus corrumpetur putredine pessima.(vulgate) 10 ׃2 ק֣וּמוּ וּלְכ֔וּ כִּ֥י לֹא־זֹ֖את הַמְּנוּחָ֑ה בַּעֲב֥וּר טָמְאָ֛ה תְּחַבֵּ֖ל וְחֶ֥בֶל נִמְרָֽץ׃ Micah Mic 2:10 Darum macht euch auf! Ihr müßt davon, ihr sollt hier nicht bleiben; um ihrer Unreinigkeit willen müssen sie unsanft zerstört werden.(dhs) Mic 2:10 "Arise and depart, For this is not your rest; Because it is defiled, it shall destroy, Yes, with utter destruction.(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:11 ============ Mic 2:11 "If a man walking after wind and falsehood Had told lies and said, 'I will speak out to you concerning wine and liquor, 'He would be spokesman to this people.(nas) Mic 2:11 κατεδιώχθητε οὐδενὸς διώκοντος πνεῦμα ἔστησεν ψεῦδος ἐστάλαξέν σοι εἰς οἶνον καὶ μέθυσμα καὶ ἔσται ἐκ τῆς σταγόνος τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου (lxx) Mic 2:11 Utinam non essem vir habens spiritum, et mendacium potius loquerer! Stillabo tibi in vinum et in ebrietatem; et erit super quem stillatur populus iste.(vulgate) 11 ׃2 לוּ־אִ֞ישׁ הֹלֵ֥ךְ ר֙וּחַ֙ וָשֶׁ֣קֶר כִּזֵּ֔ב אַטִּ֣ף לְךָ֔ לַיַּ֖יִן וְלַשֵּׁכָ֑ר וְהָיָ֥ה מַטִּ֖יף הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּֽה׃ Micah Mic 2:11 Wenn ich ein Irrgeist wäre und ein Lügenprediger und predigte, wie sie saufen und schwelgen sollten, das wäre eine Predigt für dies Volk.(dhs) Mic 2:11 If a man should walk in a false spirit And speak a lie, saying, 'I will prophesy to you of wine and drink,' Even he would be the prattler of this people.(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:12 ============ Mic 2:12 "I will surely assemble all of you, Jacob, I will surely gather the remnant of Israel. I will put them together like sheep in the fold; Like a flock in the midst of its pasture They will be noisy with men.(nas) Mic 2:12 συναγόμενος συναχθήσεται Ιακωβ σὺν πᾶσιν ἐκδεχόμενος ἐκδέξομαι τοὺς καταλοίπους τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ θήσομαι τὴν ἀποστροφὴν αὐτῶν ὡς πρόβατα ἐν θλίψει ὡς ποίμνιον ἐν μέσῳ κοίτης αὐτῶν ἐξαλοῦνται ἐξ ἀνθρώπων (lxx) Mic 2:12 Congregatione congregabo, Jacob, totum te; in unum conducam reliquias Israël: pariter ponam illum quasi gregem in ovili, quasi pecus in medio caularum: tumultuabuntur a multitudine hominum.(vulgate) 12 ׃2 אָסֹ֨ף אֶאֱסֹ֜ף יַעֲקֹ֣ב כֻּלָּ֗ךְ קַבֵּ֤ץ אֲקַבֵּץ֙ שְׁאֵרִ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל יַ֥חַד אֲשִׂימֶ֖נּוּ כְּצֹ֣אן בָּצְרָ֑ה כְּעֵ֙דֶר֙ בְּת֣וֹךְ הַדָּֽבְר֔וֹ תְּהִימֶ֖נָה מֵאָדָֽם׃ Micah Mic 2:12 Ich will aber dich, Jakob, versammeln ganz und die übrigen in Israel zuhauf bringen; ich will sie wie Schafe miteinander in einen festen Stall tun und wie eine Herde in ihre Hürden, daß es von Menschen tönen soll.(dhs) Mic 2:12 "I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob, I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together like sheep of the fold, Like a flock in the midst of their pasture; They shall make a loud noise because of so many people.(nkjv) ======= Micah 2:13 ============ Mic 2:13 "The breaker goes up before them; They break out, pass through the gate and go out by it. So their king goes on before them, And the Lord at their head."(nas) Mic 2:13 διὰ τῆς διακοπῆς πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν διέκοψαν καὶ διῆλθον πύλην καὶ ἐξῆλθον δι᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ βασιλεὺς αὐτῶν πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν ὁ δὲ κύριος ἡγήσεται αὐτῶν (lxx) Mic 2:13 Ascendet enim pandens iter ante eos: divident, et transibunt portam, et ingredientur per eam: et transibit rex eorum coram eis, et Dominus in capite eorum.](vulgate) 13 ׃2 עָלָ֤ה הַפֹּרֵץ֙ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם פָּֽרְצוּ֙ וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֔רוּ שַׁ֖עַר וַיֵּ֣צְאוּ ב֑וֹ וַיַּעֲבֹ֤ר מַלְכָּם֙ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם וַיהוָ֖ה בְּרֹאשָֽׁם׃ פ Micah Mic 2:13 Es wird ein Durchbrecher vor ihnen herauffahren; sie werden durchbrechen und zum Tor ausziehen; und ihr König wird vor ihnen her gehen und der HERR vornean.(dhs) Mic 2:13 The one who breaks open will come up before them; They will break out, Pass through the gate, And go out by it; Their king will pass before them, With the Lord at their head."(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:1 ============ top of the page
