Today's Date: ======= Micah 3:1 ============ Mic 3:1 And I said, "Hear now, heads of Jacob And rulers of the house of Israel. Is it not for you to know justice?(nas) Mic 3:1 καὶ ἐρεῖ ἀκούσατε δὴ ταῦτα αἱ ἀρχαὶ οἴκου Ιακωβ καὶ οἱ κατάλοιποι οἴκου Ισραηλ οὐχ ὑμῖν ἐστιν τοῦ γνῶναι τὸ κρίμα (lxx) Mic 3:1 [Et dixi: Audite, princeps Jacob, et duces domus Israël: numquid non vestrum est scire judicium,(vulgate) 1 ׃3 וָאֹמַ֗ר שִׁמְעוּ־נָא֙ רָאשֵׁ֣י יַעֲקֹ֔ב וּקְצִינֵ֖י בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הֲל֣וֹא לָכֶ֔ם לָדַ֖עַת אֶת־הַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ Micah Mic 3:1 Und ich sprach: Höret doch, ihr Häupter im Hause Jakob und ihr Fürsten im Hause Israel! Ihr solltet's billig sein, die das Recht wüßten.(dhs) Mic 3:1 And I said: "Hear now, O heads of Jacob, And you rulers of the house of Israel: Is it not for you to know justice?(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:2 ============ Mic 3:2 "You who hate good and love evil, Who tear off their skin from them And their flesh from their bones,(nas) Mic 3:2 οἱ μισοῦντες τὰ καλὰ καὶ ζητοῦντες τὰ πονηρά ἁρπάζοντες τὰ δέρματα αὐτῶν ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς σάρκας αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῶν ὀστέων αὐτῶν (lxx) Mic 3:2 qui odio habetis bonum, et diligitis malum; qui violenter tollitis pelles eorum desuper eis, et carnem eorum desuper ossibus eorum;(vulgate) 2 ׃3 שֹׂ֥נְאֵי ט֖וֹב וְאֹ֣הֲבֵי *רעה **רָ֑ע גֹּזְלֵ֤י עוֹרָם֙ מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶ֔ם וּשְׁאֵרָ֖ם מֵעַ֥ל עַצְמוֹתָֽם׃ Micah Mic 3:2 Aber ihr hasset das Gute und liebet das Arge; ihr schindet ihnen die Haut ab und das Fleisch von ihren Gebeinen(dhs) Mic 3:2 You who hate good and love evil; Who strip the skin from My people, And the flesh from their bones;(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:3 ============ Mic 3:3 Who eat the flesh of my people, Strip off their skin from them, Break their bones And chop them up as for the pot And as meat in a kettle."(nas) Mic 3:3 ὃν τρόπον κατέφαγον τὰς σάρκας τοῦ λαοῦ μου καὶ τὰ δέρματα αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῶν ὀστέων αὐτῶν ἐξέδειραν καὶ τὰ ὀστέα αὐτῶν συνέθλασαν καὶ ἐμέλισαν ὡς σάρκας εἰς λέβητα καὶ ὡς κρέα εἰς χύτραν (lxx) Mic 3:3 qui comederunt carnem populi mei, et pellem eorum desuper excoriaverunt, et ossa eorum confregerunt, et conciderunt sicut in lebete, et quasi carnem in medio ollæ?(vulgate) 3 ׃3 וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר אָכְלוּ֮ שְׁאֵ֣ר עַמִּי֒ וְעוֹרָם֙ מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֣ם הִפְשִׁ֔יטוּ וְאֶת־עַצְמֹֽתֵיהֶ֖ם פִּצֵּ֑חוּ וּפָרְשׂוּ֙ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּסִּ֔יר וּכְבָשָׂ֖ר בְּת֥וֹךְ קַלָּֽחַת׃ Micah Mic 3:3 und fresset das Fleisch meines Volkes; und wenn ihr ihnen die Haut abgezogen habt, zerbrecht ihr ihnen auch die Gebeine und zerlegt's wie in einen Topf und wie Fleisch in einen Kessel.(dhs) Mic 3:3 Who also eat the flesh of My people, Flay their skin from them, Break their bones, And chop them in pieces Like meat for the pot, Like flesh in the caldron."(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:4 ============ Mic 3:4 Then they will cry out to the Lord, But He will not answer them. Instead, He will hide His face from them at that time Because they have practiced evil deeds.(nas) Mic 3:4 οὕτως κεκράξονται πρὸς κύριον καὶ οὐκ εἰσακούσεται αὐτῶν καὶ ἀποστρέψει τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ἐπονηρεύσαντο ἐν τοῖς ἐπιτηδεύμασιν αὐτῶν ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς (lxx) Mic 3:4 Tunc clamabunt ad Dominum, et non exaudiet eos, et abscondet faciem suam ab eis in tempore illo, sicut nequiter egerunt in adinventionibus suis.(vulgate) 4 ׃3 אָ֚ז יִזְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְהוָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א יַעֲנֶ֖ה אוֹתָ֑ם וְיַסְתֵּ֨ר פָּנָ֤יו מֵהֶם֙ בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔יא כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הֵרֵ֖עוּ מַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ פ Micah Mic 3:4 Darum, wenn ihr nun zum HERRN schreien werdet, wird er euch nicht erhören, sondern wird sein Angesicht vor euch verbergen zur selben Zeit, wie ihr mit euren bösen Wesen verdient habt.(dhs) Mic 3:4 Then they will cry to the Lord, But He will not hear them; He will even hide His face from them at that time, Because they have been evil in their deeds.(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:5 ============ Mic 3:5 Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who lead my people astray; When they have something to bite with their teeth, They cry," Peace," But against him who puts nothing in their mouths They declare holy war.(nas) Mic 3:5 τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ τοὺς προφήτας τοὺς πλανῶντας τὸν λαόν μου τοὺς δάκνοντας ἐν τοῖς ὀδοῦσιν αὐτῶν καὶ κηρύσσοντας ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν εἰρήνην καὶ οὐκ ἐδόθη εἰς τὸ στόμα αὐτῶν ἤγειραν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν πόλεμον (lxx) Mic 3:5 Hæc dicit Dominus super prophetas, qui seducunt populum meum: qui mordent dentibus suis, et prædicant pacem; et si quis non dederit in ore eorum quippiam, sanctificant super eum prælium.(vulgate) 5 ׃3 כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה עַל־הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים הַמַּתְעִ֣ים אֶת־עַמִּ֑י הַנֹּשְׁכִ֤ים בְּשִׁנֵּיהֶם֙ וְקָרְא֣וּ שָׁל֔וֹם וַאֲשֶׁר֙ לֹא־יִתֵּ֣ן עַל־פִּיהֶ֔ם וְקִדְּשׁ֥וּ עָלָ֖יו מִלְחָמָֽה׃ Micah Mic 3:5 So spricht der HERR wider die Propheten, so mein Volk verführen: Sie predigen es solle wohl gehen, wo man ihnen zu fressen gibt; wo man aber ihnen nichts ins Maul gibt, da predigen sie, es müsse Krieg kommen.(dhs) Mic 3:5 Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets Who make my people stray; Who chant "Peace" While they chew with their teeth, But who prepare war against him Who puts nothing into their mouths:(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:6 ============ Mic 3:6 Therefore it will be night for you--without vision, And darkness for you--without divination. The sun will go down on the prophets, And the day will become dark over them.(nas) Mic 3:6 διὰ τοῦτο νὺξ ὑμῖν ἔσται ἐξ ὁράσεως καὶ σκοτία ὑμῖν ἔσται ἐκ μαντείας καὶ δύσεται ὁ ἥλιος ἐπὶ τοὺς προφήτας καὶ συσκοτάσει ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἡ ἡμέρα (lxx) Mic 3:6 Propterea nox vobis pro visione erit, et tenebræ vobis pro divinatione; et occumbet sol super prophetas, et obtenebrabitur super eos dies.(vulgate) 6 ׃3 לָכֵ֞ן לַ֤יְלָה לָכֶם֙ מֵֽחָז֔וֹן וְחָשְׁכָ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם מִקְּסֹ֑ם וּבָ֤אָה הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ עַל־הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים וְקָדַ֥ר עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם הַיּֽוֹם׃ Micah Mic 3:6 Darum soll euer Gesicht zur Nacht und euer Wahrsagen zur Finsternis werden. Die Sonne soll über den Propheten untergehen und der Tag über ihnen finster werden.(dhs) Mic 3:6 "Therefore you shall have night without vision, And you shall have darkness without divination; The sun shall go down on the prophets, And the day shall be dark for them.(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:7 ============ Mic 3:7 The seers will be ashamed And the diviners will be embarrassed. Indeed, they will all cover their mouths Because there is no answer from God.(nas) Mic 3:7 καὶ καταισχυνθήσονται οἱ ὁρῶντες τὰ ἐνύπνια καὶ καταγελασθήσονται οἱ μάντεις καὶ καταλαλήσουσιν κατ᾽ αὐτῶν πάντες αὐτοί διότι οὐκ ἔσται ὁ εἰσακούων αὐτῶν (lxx) Mic 3:7 Et confundentur qui vident visiones, et confundentur divini; et operient omnes vultos suos, quia non est responsum Dei.(vulgate) 7 ׃3 וּבֹ֣שׁוּ הַחֹזִ֗ים וְחָֽפְרוּ֙ הַקֹּ֣סְמִ֔ים וְעָט֥וּ עַל־שָׂפָ֖ם כֻּלָּ֑ם כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין מַעֲנֵ֖ה אֱלֹהִֽים׃ Micah Mic 3:7 Und die Seher sollen zu Schanden und die Wahrsager zu Spott werden und müssen alle ihren Mund verhüllen, weil da kein Gotteswort sein wird.(dhs) Mic 3:7 So the seers shall be ashamed, And the diviners abashed; Indeed they shall all cover their lips; For there is no answer from God."(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:8 ============ Mic 3:8 On the other hand I am filled with power" With the Spirit of the Lord" And with justice and courage To make known to Jacob his rebellious act, Even to Israel his sin.(nas) Mic 3:8 ἐὰν μὴ ἐγὼ ἐμπλήσω ἰσχὺν ἐν πνεύματι κυρίου καὶ κρίματος καὶ δυναστείας τοῦ ἀπαγγεῖλαι τῷ Ιακωβ ἀσεβείας αὐτοῦ καὶ τῷ Ισραηλ ἁμαρτίας αὐτοῦ (lxx) Mic 3:8 Verumtamen ego repletus sum fortitudine spiritus Domini, judicio, et virtute, ut annuntiem Jacob scelus suum, et Israël peccatum suum.(vulgate) 8 ׃3 וְאוּלָ֗ם אָנֹכִ֞י מָלֵ֤אתִי כֹ֙חַ֙ אֶת־ר֣וּחַ יְהוָ֔ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּגְבוּרָ֑ה לְהַגִּ֤יד לְיַֽעֲקֹב֙ פִּשְׁע֔וֹ וּלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל חַטָּאתֽוֹ׃ ס Micah Mic 3:8 Ich aber bin voll Kraft und Geistes des HERRN, voll Rechts und Stärke, daß ich Jakob sein Übertreten und Israel seine Sünden anzeigen darf.(dhs) Mic 3:8 But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord, And of justice and might, To declare to Jacob his transgression And to Israel his sin.(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:9 ============ Mic 3:9 Now hear this, heads of the house of Jacob And rulers of the house of Israel, Who abhor justice And twist everything that is straight,(nas) Mic 3:9 ἀκούσατε δὴ ταῦτα οἱ ἡγούμενοι οἴκου Ιακωβ καὶ οἱ κατάλοιποι οἴκου Ισραηλ οἱ βδελυσσόμενοι κρίμα καὶ πάντα τὰ ὀρθὰ διαστρέφοντες (lxx) Mic 3:9 Audite hoc, principes domus Jacob, et judices domus Israël, qui abominamini judicium, et omnia recta pervertitis:(vulgate) 9 ׃3 שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֣א זֹ֗את רָאשֵׁי֙ בֵּ֣ית יַעֲקֹ֔ב וּקְצִינֵ֖י בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הַֽמֲתַעֲבִ֣ים מִשְׁפָּ֔ט וְאֵ֥ת כָּל־הַיְשָׁרָ֖ה יְעַקֵּֽשׁוּ׃ Micah Mic 3:9 So hört doch dies, ihr Häupter im Hause Jakob und ihr Fürsten im Hause Israel, die ihr das Recht verschmäht und alles, was aufrichtig ist, verkehrt;(dhs) Mic 3:9 Now hear this, You heads of the house of Jacob And rulers of the house of Israel, Who abhor justice And pervert all equity,(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:10 ============ Mic 3:10 Who build Zion with bloodshed And Jerusalem with violent injustice.(nas) Mic 3:10 οἱ οἰκοδομοῦντες Σιων ἐν αἵμασιν καὶ Ιερουσαλημ ἐν ἀδικίαις (lxx) Mic 3:10 qui ædificatis Sion in sanguinibus, et Jerusalem in iniquitate.(vulgate) 10 ׃3 בֹּנֶ֥ה צִיּ֖וֹן בְּדָמִ֑ים וִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם בְּעַוְלָֽה׃ Micah Mic 3:10 die ihr Zion mit Blut baut und Jerusalem mit Unrecht:(dhs) Mic 3:10 Who build up Zion with bloodshed And Jerusalem with iniquity:(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:11 ============ Mic 3:11 Her leaders pronounce judgment for a bribe, Her priests instruct for a price And her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord saying, "Is not the Lord in our midst? Calamity will not come upon us."(nas) Mic 3:11 οἱ ἡγούμενοι αὐτῆς μετὰ δώρων ἔκρινον καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς αὐτῆς μετὰ μισθοῦ ἀπεκρίνοντο καὶ οἱ προφῆται αὐτῆς μετὰ ἀργυρίου ἐμαντεύοντο καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον ἐπανεπαύοντο λέγοντες οὐχὶ κύριος ἐν ἡμῖν ἐστιν οὐ μὴ ἐπέλθῃ ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς κακά (lxx) Mic 3:11 Principes ejus in muneribus judicabant, et sacerdotes ejus in mercede docebant, et prophetæ ejus in pecunia divinabant: et super Dominum requiescebant, dicentes: Numquid non Dominus in medio nostrum? non venient super nos mala.(vulgate) 11 ׃3 רָאשֶׁ֣יהָ ׀ בְּשֹׁ֣חַד יִשְׁפֹּ֗טוּ וְכֹהֲנֶ֙יהָ֙ בִּמְחִ֣יר יוֹר֔וּ וּנְבִיאֶ֖יהָ בְּכֶ֣סֶף יִקְסֹ֑מוּ וְעַל־יְהוָה֙ יִשָּׁעֵ֣נוּ לֵאמֹ֔ר הֲל֤וֹא יְהוָה֙ בְּקִרְבֵּ֔נוּ לֹֽא־תָב֥וֹא עָלֵ֖ינוּ רָעָֽה׃ Micah Mic 3:11 Ihre Häupter richten um Geschenke, ihre Priester lehren um Lohn, und ihre Propheten wahrsagen um Geld, verlassen sich auf den HERRN und sprechen: Ist nicht der HERR unter uns? Es kann kein Unglück über uns kommen.(dhs) Mic 3:11 Her heads judge for a bribe, Her priests teach for pay, And her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord, and say, "Is not the Lord among us? No harm can come upon us."(nkjv) ======= Micah 3:12 ============ Mic 3:12 Therefore, on account of you Zion will be plowed as a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins, And the mountain of the temple will become high places of a forest.(nas) Mic 3:12 διὰ τοῦτο δι᾽ ὑμᾶς Σιων ὡς ἀγρὸς ἀροτριαθήσεται καὶ Ιερουσαλημ ὡς ὀπωροφυλάκιον ἔσται καὶ τὸ ὄρος τοῦ οἴκου ὡς ἄλσος δρυμοῦ (lxx) Mic 3:12 Propter hoc, causa vestri, Sion quasi ager arabitur, et Jerusalem quasi acervus lapidum erit, et mons templi in excelsa silvarum.](vulgate) 12 ׃3 לָכֵן֙ בִּגְלַלְכֶ֔ם צִיּ֖וֹן שָׂדֶ֣ה תֵֽחָרֵ֑שׁ וִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עִיִּ֣ין תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה וְהַ֥ר הַבַּ֖יִת לְבָמ֥וֹת יָֽעַר׃ פ Micah Mic 3:12 Darum wird Zion um euretwillen wie ein Acker gepflügt werden, und Jerusalem wird zum Steinhaufen werden und der Berg des Tempels zu einer wilden Höhe.(dhs) Mic 3:12 Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed like a field, Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, And the mountain of the temple Like the bare hills of the forest.(nkjv) ======= Micah 4:1 ============ top of the page
