Today's Date: ======= Micah 5:1 ============ Mic 5:1 "Now muster yourselves in troops, daughter of troops; They have laid siege against us; With a rod they will smite the judge of Israel on the cheek.(nas) Mic 5:1 νῦν ἐμφραχθήσεται θυγάτηρ Εφραιμ ἐν φραγμῷ συνοχὴν ἔταξεν ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς ἐν ῥάβδῳ πατάξουσιν ἐπὶ σιαγόνα τὰς φυλὰς τοῦ Ισραηλ (lxx) Mic 5:1 [Nunc vastaberis, filia latronis. Obsidionem posuerunt super nos: in virga percutient maxillam judicis Israël.]~(vulgate) 14 ׃4 עַתָּה֙ תִּתְגֹּדְדִ֣י בַת־גְּד֔וּד מָצ֖וֹר שָׂ֣ם עָלֵ֑ינוּ בַּשֵּׁ֙בֶט֙ יַכּ֣וּ עַֽל־הַלְּחִ֔י אֵ֖ת שֹׁפֵ֥ט יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס Micah Mic 5:1 Aber nun, du Kriegerin, rüste dich! denn man wird uns belagern und den Richter Israels mit der Rute auf den Backen schlagen.(dhs) Mic 5:1 Now gather yourself in troops, O daughter of troops; He has laid siege against us; They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:2 ============ Mic 5:2 "But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity."(nas) Mic 5:2 καὶ σύ Βηθλεεμ οἶκος τοῦ Εφραθα ὀλιγοστὸς εἶ τοῦ εἶναι ἐν χιλιάσιν Ιουδα ἐκ σοῦ μοι ἐξελεύσεται τοῦ εἶναι εἰς ἄρχοντα ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ καὶ αἱ ἔξοδοι αὐτοῦ ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς ἐξ ἡμερῶν αἰῶνος (lxx) Mic 5:2 [Et tu, Bethlehem Ephrata, parvulus es in millibus Juda; ex te mihi egredietur qui sit dominator in Israël, et egressus ejus ab initio, a diebus æternitatis.(vulgate) 1 ׃5 וְאַתָּ֞ה בֵּֽית־לֶ֣חֶם אֶפְרָ֗תָה צָעִיר֙ לִֽהְיוֹת֙ בְּאַלְפֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה מִמְּךָ֙ לִ֣י יֵצֵ֔א לִֽהְי֥וֹת מוֹשֵׁ֖ל בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּמוֹצָאֹתָ֥יו מִקֶּ֖דֶם מִימֵ֥י עוֹלָֽם׃ Micah Mic 5:2 Und du Bethlehem Ephrata, die du klein bist unter den Städten in Juda, aus dir soll mir kommen, der in Israel HERR sei, welches Ausgang von Anfang und von Ewigkeit her gewesen ist.(dhs) Mic 5:2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting."(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:3 ============ Mic 5:3 Therefore He will give them up until the time When she who is in labor has borne a child. Then the remainder of His brethren Will return to the sons of Israel.(nas) Mic 5:3 διὰ τοῦτο δώσει αὐτοὺς ἕως καιροῦ τικτούσης τέξεται καὶ οἱ ἐπίλοιποι τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν ἐπιστρέψουσιν ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ (lxx) Mic 5:3 Propter hoc dabit eos usque ad tempus in quo parturiens pariet, et reliquiæ fratrum ejus convertentur ad filios Israël.(vulgate) 2 ׃5 לָכֵ֣ן יִתְּנֵ֔ם עַד־עֵ֥ת יוֹלֵדָ֖ה יָלָ֑דָה וְיֶ֣תֶר אֶחָ֔יו יְשׁוּב֖וּן עַל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Micah Mic 5:3 Indes läßt er sie plagen bis auf die Zeit, daß die, so gebären soll, geboren habe; da werden dann die übrigen seiner Brüder wiederkommen zu den Kindern Israel.(dhs) Mic 5:3 Therefore He shall give them up, Until the time that she who is in labor has given birth; Then the remnant of His brethren Shall return to the children of Israel.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:4 ============ Mic 5:4 And He will arise and shepherd His flock In the strength of the Lord, In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God. And they will remain, Because at that time He will be great To the ends of the earth.(nas) Mic 5:4 καὶ στήσεται καὶ ὄψεται καὶ ποιμανεῖ τὸ ποίμνιον αὐτοῦ ἐν ἰσχύι κυρίου καὶ ἐν τῇ δόξῃ τοῦ ὀνόματος κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ αὐτῶν ὑπάρξουσιν διότι νῦν μεγαλυνθήσεται ἕως ἄκρων τῆς γῆς (lxx) Mic 5:4 Et stabit, et pascet in fortitudine Domini, in sublimitate nominis Domini Dei sui: et convertentur, quia nunc magnificabitur usque ad terminos terræ.(vulgate) 3 ׃5 וְעָמַ֗ד וְרָעָה֙ בְּעֹ֣ז יְהוָ֔ה בִּגְא֕וֹן שֵׁ֖ם יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑יו וְיָשָׁ֕בוּ כִּֽי־עַתָּ֥ה יִגְדַּ֖ל עַד־אַפְסֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ Micah Mic 5:4 Er wird aber auftreten und weiden in der Kraft des HERRN und im Sieg des Namens des HERRN, seines Gottes. Und sie werden wohnen; denn er wird zur selben Zeit herrlich werden, soweit die Welt ist.(dhs) Mic 5:4 And He shall stand and feed His flock In the strength of the Lord, In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God; And they shall abide, For now He shall be great To the ends of the earth;(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:5 ============ Mic 5:5 This One will be our peace. When the Assyrian invades our land, When he tramples on our citadels, Then we will raise against him Seven shepherds and eight leaders of men.(nas) Mic 5:5 καὶ ἔσται αὕτη εἰρήνη ὅταν Ἀσσύριος ἐπέλθῃ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ὑμῶν καὶ ὅταν ἐπιβῇ ἐπὶ τὴν χώραν ὑμῶν καὶ ἐπεγερθήσονται ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἑπτὰ ποιμένες καὶ ὀκτὼ δήγματα ἀνθρώπων (lxx) Mic 5:5 Et erit iste pax: cum venerit Assyrius in terram nostram, et quando calcaverit domibus nostris, et suscitabimus super eum septem pastores et octo primates homines;(vulgate) 4 ׃5 וְהָיָ֥ה זֶ֖ה שָׁל֑וֹם אַשּׁ֣וּר ׀ כִּֽי־יָב֣וֹא בְאַרְצֵ֗נוּ וְכִ֤י יִדְרֹךְ֙ בְּאַרְמְנֹתֵ֔ינוּ וַהֲקֵמֹ֤נוּ עָלָיו֙ שִׁבְעָ֣ה רֹעִ֔ים וּשְׁמֹנָ֖ה נְסִיכֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ Micah Mic 5:5 Und er wird unser Friede sein. Wenn Assur in unser Land fällt und in unsre Häuser bricht, so werden wir sieben Hirten und acht Fürsten wider ihn bestellen,(dhs) Mic 5:5 And this One shall be peace. When the Assyrian comes into our land, And when he treads in our palaces, Then we will raise against him Seven shepherds and eight princely men.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:6 ============ Mic 5:6 They will shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword, The land of Nimrod at its entrances; And He will deliver us from the Assyrian When he attacks our land And when he tramples our territory.(nas) Mic 5:6 καὶ ποιμανοῦσιν τὸν Ασσουρ ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ καὶ τὴν γῆν τοῦ Νεβρωδ ἐν τῇ τάφρῳ αὐτῆς καὶ ῥύσεται ἐκ τοῦ Ασσουρ ὅταν ἐπέλθῃ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ὑμῶν καὶ ὅταν ἐπιβῇ ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια ὑμῶν (lxx) Mic 5:6 et pascent terram Assur in gladio, et terram Nemrod in lanceis ejus, et liberabit ab Assur cum venerit in terram nostram, et cum calcaverit in finibus nostris.(vulgate) 5 ׃5 וְרָע֞וּ אֶת־אֶ֤רֶץ אַשּׁוּר֙ בַּחֶ֔רֶב וְאֶת־אֶ֥רֶץ נִמְרֹ֖ד בִּפְתָחֶ֑יהָ וְהִצִּיל֙ מֵֽאַשּׁ֔וּר כִּֽי־יָב֣וֹא בְאַרְצֵ֔נוּ וְכִ֥י יִדְרֹ֖ךְ בִּגְבוּלֵֽנוּ׃ ס Micah Mic 5:6 die das Land Assur verderben mit dem Schwert und das Land Nimrods mit ihren bloßen Waffen. Also wird er uns von Assur erretten, wenn er in unser Land fallen und in unsre Grenzen brechen wird.(dhs) Mic 5:6 They shall waste with the sword the land of Assyria, And the land of Nimrod at its entrances; Thus He shall deliver us from the Assyrian, When he comes into our land And when he treads within our borders.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:7 ============ Mic 5:7 Then the remnant of Jacob Will be among many peoples Like dew from the Lord, Like showers on vegetation Which do not wait for man Or delay for the sons of men.(nas) Mic 5:7 καὶ ἔσται τὸ ὑπόλειμμα τοῦ Ιακωβ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἐν μέσῳ λαῶν πολλῶν ὡς δρόσος παρὰ κυρίου πίπτουσα καὶ ὡς ἄρνες ἐπὶ ἄγρωστιν ὅπως μὴ συναχθῇ μηδεὶς μηδὲ ὑποστῇ ἐν υἱοῖς ἀνθρώπων (lxx) Mic 5:7 Et erunt reliquiæ Jacob in medio populorum multorum quasi ros a Domino, et quasi stillæ super herbam, quæ non exspectat virum, et non præstolatur filios hominum.(vulgate) 6 ׃5 וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ שְׁאֵרִ֣ית יַעֲקֹ֗ב בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים כְּטַל֙ מֵאֵ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה כִּרְבִיבִ֖ים עֲלֵי־עֵ֑שֶׂב אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־יְקַוֶּה֙ לְאִ֔ישׁ וְלֹ֥א יְיַחֵ֖ל לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ Micah Mic 5:7 Und es werden die übrigen aus Jakob unter vielen Völkern sein, wie ein Tau vom HERRN und wie die Tröpflein aufs Gras, das auf niemand harrt noch auf Menschen wartet.(dhs) Mic 5:7 Then the remnant of Jacob Shall be in the midst of many peoples, Like dew from the Lord, Like showers on the grass, That tarry for no man Nor wait for the sons of men.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:8 ============ Mic 5:8 The remnant of Jacob Will be among the nations, Among many peoples Like a lion among the beasts of the forest, Like a young lion among flocks of sheep, Which, if he passes through, Tramples down and tears, And there is none to rescue.(nas) Mic 5:8 καὶ ἔσται τὸ ὑπόλειμμα τοῦ Ιακωβ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἐν μέσῳ λαῶν πολλῶν ὡς λέων ἐν κτήνεσιν ἐν τῷ δρυμῷ καὶ ὡς σκύμνος ἐν ποιμνίοις προβάτων ὃν τρόπον ὅταν διέλθῃ καὶ διαστείλας ἁρπάσῃ καὶ μὴ ᾖ ὁ ἐξαιρούμενος (lxx) Mic 5:8 Et erunt reliquiæ Jacob in gentibus, in medio populorum multorum, quasi leo in jumentis silvarum, et quasi catulus leonis in gregibus pecorum, qui cum transierit, et conculcaverit, et ceperit, non est qui eruat.(vulgate) 7 ׃5 וְהָיָה֩ שְׁאֵרִ֨ית יַעֲקֹ֜ב בַּגּוֹיִ֗ם בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים כְּאַרְיֵה֙ בְּבַהֲמ֣וֹת יַ֔עַר כִּכְפִ֖יר בְּעֶדְרֵי[c] צֹ֑אן אֲשֶׁ֧ר אִם[c] עָבַ֛ר וְרָמַ֥ס וְטָרַ֖ף וְאֵ֥ין מַצִּֽיל׃ Micah Mic 5:8 Ja, die übrigen aus Jakob werden unter den Heiden bei vielen Völkern sein wie ein Löwe unter den Tieren im Walde, wie ein junger Löwe unter einer Herde Schafe, welchem niemand wehren kann, wenn er dadurch geht, zertritt und zerreißt.(dhs) Mic 5:8 And the remnant of Jacob Shall be among the Gentiles, In the midst of many peoples, Like a lion among the beasts of the forest, Like a young lion among flocks of sheep, Who, if he passes through, Both treads down and tears in pieces, And none can deliver.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:9 ============ Mic 5:9 Your hand will be lifted up against your adversaries, And all your enemies will be cut off.(nas) Mic 5:9 ὑψωθήσεται ἡ χείρ σου ἐπὶ τοὺς θλίβοντάς σε καὶ πάντες οἱ ἐχθροί σου ἐξολεθρευθήσονται (lxx) Mic 5:9 Exaltabitur manus tua super hostes tuos, et omnes inimici tui interibunt.(vulgate) 8 ׃5 תָּרֹ֥ם יָדְךָ֖ עַל־צָרֶ֑יךָ וְכָל־אֹיְבֶ֖יךָ יִכָּרֵֽתוּ׃ פ Micah Mic 5:9 Denn deine Hand wird siegen wider alle deine Widersacher, daß alle deine Feinde müssen ausgerottet werden.(dhs) Mic 5:9 Your hand shall be lifted against your adversaries, And all your enemies shall be cut off.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:10 ============ Mic 5:10 "It will be in that day," declares the Lord, "That I will cut off your horses from among you And destroy your chariots.(nas) Mic 5:10 καὶ ἔσται ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ λέγει κύριος ἐξολεθρεύσω τοὺς ἵππους σου ἐκ μέσου σου καὶ ἀπολῶ τὰ ἅρματά σου (lxx) Mic 5:10 Et erit in die illa, dicit Dominus: auferam equos tuos de medio tui, et disperdam quadrigas tuas.(vulgate) 9 ׃5 וְהָיָ֤ה בַיּוֹם־הַהוּא֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י סוּסֶ֖יךָ מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֖י מַרְכְּבֹתֶֽיךָ׃ Micah Mic 5:10 Zur selben Zeit, spricht der HERR, will ich deine Rosse von dir tun und deine Wagen zunichte machen;(dhs) Mic 5:10 "And it shall be in that day," says the Lord, "That I will cut off your horses from your midst And destroy your chariots.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:11 ============ Mic 5:11 "I will also cut off the cities of your land And tear down all your fortifications.(nas) Mic 5:11 καὶ ἐξολεθρεύσω τὰς πόλεις τῆς γῆς σου καὶ ἐξαρῶ πάντα τὰ ὀχυρώματά σου (lxx) Mic 5:11 Et perdam civitates terræ tuæ, et destruam omnes munitiones tuas:(vulgate) 10 ׃5 וְהִכְרַתִּ֖י עָרֵ֣י אַרְצֶ֑ךָ וְהָרַסְתִּ֖י כָּל־מִבְצָרֶֽיךָ׃ Micah Mic 5:11 und will die Städte deines Landes ausrotten und alle deine Festen zerbrechen.(dhs) Mic 5:11 I will cut off the cities of your land And throw down all your strongholds.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:12 ============ Mic 5:12 "I will cut off sorceries from your hand, And you will have fortune-tellers no more.(nas) Mic 5:12 καὶ ἐξαρῶ τὰ φάρμακά σου ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν σου καὶ ἀποφθεγγόμενοι οὐκ ἔσονται ἐν σοί (lxx) Mic 5:12 et auferam maleficia de manu tua, et divinationes non erunt in te:(vulgate) 11 ׃5 וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י כְשָׁפִ֖ים מִיָּדֶ֑ךָ וּֽמְעוֹנְנִ֖ים לֹ֥א יִֽהְיוּ־לָֽךְ׃ Micah Mic 5:12 Und will die Zauberer bei dir ausrotten, daß keine Zeichendeuter bei dir bleiben sollen.(dhs) Mic 5:12 I will cut off sorceries from your hand, And you shall have no soothsayers.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:13 ============ Mic 5:13 "I will cut off your carved images And your sacred pillars from among you, So that you will no longer bow down To the work of your hands.(nas) Mic 5:13 καὶ ἐξολεθρεύσω τὰ γλυπτά σου καὶ τὰς στήλας σου ἐκ μέσου σου καὶ οὐκέτι μὴ προσκυνήσῃς τοῖς ἔργοις τῶν χειρῶν σου (lxx) Mic 5:13 et perire faciam sculptilia tua et statuas tuas de medio tui, et non adorabis ultra opera manuum tuarum:(vulgate) 12 ׃5 וְהִכְרַתִּ֧י פְסִילֶ֛יךָ וּמַצֵּבוֹתֶ֖יךָ מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ וְלֹֽא־תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֥ה ע֖וֹד לְמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָדֶֽיךָ׃ Micah Mic 5:13 Ich will deine Bilder und Götzen von dir ausrotten, daß du nicht mehr sollst anbeten deiner Hände Werk.(dhs) Mic 5:13 Your carved images I will also cut off, And your sacred pillars from your midst; You shall no more worship the work of your hands;(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:14 ============ Mic 5:14 "I will root out your Asherim from among you And destroy your cities.(nas) Mic 5:14 καὶ ἐκκόψω τὰ ἄλση σου ἐκ μέσου σου καὶ ἀφανιῶ τὰς πόλεις σου (lxx) Mic 5:14 et evellam lucos tuos de medio tui, et conteram civitates tuas.(vulgate) 13 ׃5 וְנָתַשְׁתִּ֥י אֲשֵׁירֶ֖יךָ מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ וְהִשְׁמַדְתִּ֖י עָרֶֽיךָ׃ Micah Mic 5:14 Und will deine Ascherabilder zerbrechen und deine Städte vertilgen.(dhs) Mic 5:14 I will pluck your wooden images from your midst; Thus I will destroy your cities.(nkjv) ======= Micah 5:15 ============ Mic 5:15 "And I will execute vengeance in anger and wrath On the nations which have not obeyed."(nas) Mic 5:15 καὶ ποιήσω ἐν ὀργῇ καὶ ἐν θυμῷ ἐκδίκησιν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἀνθ᾽ ὧν οὐκ εἰσήκουσαν (lxx) Mic 5:15 Et faciam, in furore et in indignatione, ultionem in omnibus gentibus quæ non audierunt.](vulgate) 14 ׃5 וְעָשִׂ֜יתִי בְּאַ֧ף וּבְחֵמָ֛ה נָקָ֖ם אֶת־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א שָׁמֵֽעוּ׃ ס Micah Mic 5:15 Und will Rache üben mit Grimm und Zorn an allen Heiden, so nicht gehorchen wollen.(dhs) Mic 5:15
