(Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:1 Cum autem descendisset de monte, secutæ sunt eum turbæ multæ:(vulgate) וַיֵּרֶד מִן־הָהָר וַהֲמוֹן עַם רָב הֹלְכִים אַחֲרָיו׃ א Matthew Mat 8:1 Da er aber vom Berg herabging, folgte ihm viel Volks nach.(dhs) Mat 8:1 When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:2 ============ Mat 8:2 And a leper came to Him and bowed down before Him, and said, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean."(nas) Mat 8:2 καὶ ἰδοὺ λεπρὸς προσελθὼν προσεκύνει αὐτῶ λέγων, κύριε, ἐὰν θέλῃς δύνασαί με καθαρίσαι. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:2 et ecce leprosus veniens, adorabat eum, dicens: Domine, si vis, potes me mundare.(vulgate) וְהִנֵּה אִישׁ מְצֹרָע בָּא וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ־לוֹ לֵאמֹר אֲדֹנִי אִם־חָפֵץ אַתָּה הֲלֹא תוּכַל לְטַהֲרֵנִי׃ ב Matthew Mat 8:2 Und siehe, ein Aussätziger kam und betete ihn an und sprach: HERR, so du willst, kannst du mich wohl reinigen.(dhs) Mat 8:2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean."(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:3 ============ Mat 8:3 Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.(nas) Mat 8:3 καὶ ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα ἥψατο αὐτοῦ λέγων, θέλω, καθαρίσθητι· καὶ εὐθέως ἐκαθαρίσθη αὐτοῦ ἡ λέπρα. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:3 Et extendens Jesus manum, tetigit eum, dicens: Volo: mundare. Et confestim mundata est lepra ejus.(vulgate) וַיּוֹשֶׁט אֶת־יָדוֹ וַיִּגַּע־בּוֹ יֵשׁוּעַ וַיֹּאמַר חָפֵץ אֲנִי וּטְהָר וַיִּטְהַר מִצָּרַעְתּוֹ כְּרָגַע׃ ג Matthew Mat 8:3 Und Jesus streckte seine Hand aus, rührte ihn an und sprach: Ich will's tun; sei gereinigt! Und alsbald ward er vom Aussatz rein.(dhs) Mat 8:3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:4 ============ Mat 8:4 And Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."(nas) Mat 8:4 καὶ λέγει αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς, ὅρα μηδενὶ εἴπῃς, ἀλλὰ ὕπαγε σεαυτὸν δεῖξον τῶ ἱερεῖ, καὶ προσένεγκον τὸ δῶρον ὃ προσέταξεν μωϊσῆς, εἰς μαρτύριον αὐτοῖς. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:4 Et ait illi Jesus: Vide, nemini dixeris: sed vade, ostende te sacerdoti, et offer munus, quod præcepit Moyses, in testimonium illis.~(vulgate) וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו יֵשׁוּעַ רְאֵה אַל־תַּגֵּד לְאִישׁ רַק לֵךְ וְהֵרָאֵה לְעֵינֵי הַכֹּהֵן וְהַקְרֵב אֶת־הַקָּרְבָּן אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה מֹשֶׁה לְעֵדוּת לָהֶם׃ ד Matthew Mat 8:4 Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Siehe zu, sage es niemand; sondern gehe hin und zeige dich dem Priester und opfere die Gabe, die Mose befohlen hat, zu einem Zeugnis über sie.(dhs) Mat 8:4 And Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:5 ============ Mat 8:5 And when Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, imploring Him,(nas) Mat 8:5 εἰσελθόντος δὲ αὐτοῦ εἰς καφαρναοὺμ προσῆλθεν αὐτῶ ἑκατόνταρχος παρακαλῶν αὐτὸν (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:5 Cum autem introisset Capharnaum, accessit ad eum centurio, rogans eum,(vulgate) וְכַאֲשֶׁר בָּא יֵשׁוּעַ אֶל־כְּפַר־נַחוּם וַיִּגַּשׁ אֵלָיו שַׂר־מֵאָה אֶחָד וַיִּתְחַנֶּן־לוֹ לֵאמֹר׃ ה Matthew Mat 8:5 Da aber Jesus einging zu Kapernaum, trat ein Hauptmann zu ihm, der bat ihn(dhs) Mat 8:5 Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:6 ============ Mat 8:6 and saying, "Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, fearfully tormented."(nas) Mat 8:6 καὶ λέγων, κύριε, ὁ παῖς μου βέβληται ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ παραλυτικός, δεινῶς βασανιζόμενος. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:6 et dicens: Domine, puer meus jacet in domo paralyticus, et male torquetur.(vulgate) אֲדֹנִי הִנֵּה נַעֲרִי נָפַל לְמִשְׁכָּב בְּבֵיתִי נְכֵה־עֲצָמוֹת וּמְעֻנֶּה מְאֹד׃ ו Matthew Mat 8:6 und sprach: HERR, mein Knecht liegt zu Hause und ist gichtbrüchig und hat große Qual.(dhs) Mat 8:6 saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented."(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:7 ============ Mat 8:7 Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."(nas) Mat 8:7 καὶ λέγει αὐτῶ, ἐγὼ ἐλθὼν θεραπεύσω αὐτόν. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:7 Et ait illi Jesus: Ego veniam, et curabo eum.(vulgate) וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו יֵשׁוּעַ הִנְנִי בָא וּרְפָאתִיו׃ ז Matthew Mat 8:7 Jesus sprach zu ihm: Ich will kommen und ihn gesund machen.(dhs) Mat 8:7 And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:8 ============ Mat 8:8 But the centurion said, "Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed.(nas) Mat 8:8 καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ ἑκατόνταρχος ἔφη, κύριε, οὐκ εἰμὶ ἱκανὸς ἵνα μου ὑπὸ τὴν στέγην εἰσέλθῃς· ἀλλὰ μόνον εἰπὲ λόγῳ, καὶ ἰαθήσεται ὁ παῖς μου. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:8 Et respondens centurio, ait: Domine, non sum dignus ut intres sub tectum meum: sed tantum dic verbo, et sanabitur puer meus.(vulgate) וַיַּעַן שַׂר־הַמֵּאָה וַיֹּאמַר אֲדֹנִי נְקַלֹּתִי מִזֹּאת כִּי אַתָּה תָבֹא בְצֵל קֹרָתִי אַךְ רַק דַּבְּרָה דָּבָר וְהַנַּעַר יֶחִי׃ ח Matthew Mat 8:8 Der Hauptmann antwortete und sprach: HERR, ich bin nicht wert, daß du unter mein Dach gehest; sondern sprich nur ein Wort, so wird mein Knecht gesund.(dhs) Mat 8:8 The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:9 ============ Mat 8:9 For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it."(nas) Mat 8:9 καὶ γὰρ ἐγὼ ἄνθρωπός εἰμι ὑπὸ ἐξουσίαν, ἔχων ὑπ᾽ ἐμαυτὸν στρατιώτας, καὶ λέγω τούτῳ, πορεύθητι, καὶ πορεύεται, καὶ ἄλλῳ, ἔρχου, καὶ ἔρχεται, καὶ τῶ δούλῳ μου, ποίησον τοῦτο, καὶ ποιεῖ. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:9 Nam et ego homo sum sub potestate constitutus, habens sub me milites, et dico huic: Vade, et vadit: et alii: Veni, et venit: et servo meo: Fac hoc, et facit.(vulgate) כִּי גַם־אֲנִי סָר לְמִשְׁמַעַת מֶמְשָׁלָה וַאֲנָשַׁי סָרִים לְמִשְׁמַעְתִּי וְכִי אֹמַר לְאֶחָד מֵהֶם לֵךְ וְיֵלֵךְ וּלְאַחֵר בֹּא וְיָבֹא וּלְעַבְדִּי עֲשֵׂה־זֹאת וְיַעֲשֶׂה׃ ט Matthew Mat 8:9 Denn ich bin ein Mensch, der Obrigkeit untertan, und habe unter mir Kriegsknechte; und wenn ich sage zu einem: Gehe hin! so geht er; und zum andern: Komm her! so kommt er; und zu meinem Knecht: Tu das! so tut er's.(dhs) Mat 8:9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:10 Audiens autem Jesus miratus est, et sequentibus se dixit: Amen dico vobis, non inveni tantam fidem in Israël.(vulgate) וַיִּשְׁמַע יֵשׁוּעַ וַיִּשְׁתָּאֶה וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל־הַהֹלְכִים אַחֲרָיו אָמֵן אֲנִי מַגִּיד לָכֶם אֱמוּנָה גְּדוֹלָה כָמוֹהָ גַּם־בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא מָצָאתִי׃ י Matthew Mat 8:10 Da das Jesus hörte, verwunderte er sich und sprach zu denen, die ihm nachfolgten: Wahrlich ich sage euch: Solchen Glauben habe ich in Israel nicht gefunden!(dhs) Mat 8:10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:11 ============ Mat 8:11 I say to you that many will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven;(nas) Mat 8:11 λέγω δὲ ὑμῖν ὅτι πολλοὶ ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν καὶ δυσμῶν ἥξουσιν καὶ ἀνακλιθήσονται μετὰ ἀβραὰμ καὶ ἰσαὰκ καὶ ἰακὼβ ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τῶν οὐρανῶν· (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:11 Dico autem vobis, quod multi ab oriente et occidente venient, et recumbent cum Abraham, et Isaac, et Jacob in regno cælorum:(vulgate) וְהִנְנִי אֹמֵר לָכֶם כִּי רַבִּים יָבֹאוּ מִמִּזְרָח וּמִמַּעֲרָב וְיֵשְׁבוּ בִּמְסִבָּה עִם־אַבְרָהָם יִצְחָק וְיַעֲקֹב בְּמַלְכוּת הַשָּׁמָיִם׃ יא Matthew Mat 8:11 Aber ich sage euch viele werden kommen vom Morgen und vom Abend und mit Abraham und Isaak und Jakob im Himmelreich sitzen;(dhs) Mat 8:11 And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:12 ============ Mat 8:12 but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."(nas) Mat 8:12 οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ τῆς βασιλείας ἐκβληθήσονται εἰς τὸ σκότος τὸ ἐξώτερον· ἐκεῖ ἔσται ὁ κλαυθμὸς καὶ ὁ βρυγμὸς τῶν ὀδόντων. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:12 filii autem regni ejicientur in tenebras exteriores: ibi erit fletus et stridor dentium.(vulgate) וּבְנֵי הַמַּלְכוּת יִדַּחוּ אֶל־הַחֹשֶׁךְ הַחוּצָה שָׁם יִהְיֶה בְכִי וַחֲרֹק שִׁנָּיִם׃ יב Matthew Mat 8:12 aber die Kinder des Reiches werden ausgestoßen in die Finsternis hinaus; da wird sein Heulen und Zähneklappen.(dhs) Mat 8:12 But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:13 ============ Mat 8:13 And Jesus said to the centurion," Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed." And the servant was healed that very moment.(nas) Mat 8:13 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ ἰησοῦς τῶ ἑκατοντάρχῃ, ὕπαγε, ὡς ἐπίστευσας γενηθήτω σοι. καὶ ἰάθη ὁ παῖς [αὐτοῦ] ἐν τῇ ὥρᾳ ἐκείνῃ. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:13 Et dixit Jesus centurioni: Vade, et sicut credidisti, fiat tibi. Et sanatus est puer in illa hora.~(vulgate) וְאֶל־שַׂר־הַמֵּאָה אָמַר יֵשׁוּעַ לֵךְ כַּאֲשֶׁר הֶאֱמַנְתָּ כֵּן יָקוּם לָךְ וַיְחִי הַנַּעַר מֵחָלְיוֹ בַּשָּׁעָה הַהִיא׃ יג Matthew Mat 8:13 Und Jesus sprach zu dem Hauptmann: Gehe hin; dir geschehe, wie du geglaubt hast. Und sein Knecht ward gesund zu derselben Stunde.(dhs) Mat 8:13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same hour.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:14 ============ Mat 8:14 When Jesus came into Peter's home, He saw his mother-in-law lying sick in bed with a fever.(nas) Mat 8:14 καὶ ἐλθὼν ὁ ἰησοῦς εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν πέτρου εἶδεν τὴν πενθερὰν αὐτοῦ βεβλημένην καὶ πυρέσσουσαν· (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:14 Et cum venisset Jesus in domum Petri, vidit socrum ejus jacentem, et febricitantem:(vulgate) וַיָּבֹא יֵשׁוּעַ בֵּית־פֶּטְרוֹס וַיַּרְא אֶת־חֹתַנְתּוֹ שֹׁכֶבֶת חוֹלַת קַדָּחַת׃ יד Matthew Mat 8:14 Und Jesus kam in des Petrus Haus und sah, daß seine Schwiegermutter lag und hatte das Fieber.(dhs) Mat 8:14 Now when Jesus had come into Peter's house, He saw his wife's mother lying sick with a fever.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:15 ============ Mat 8:15 He touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she got up and waited on Him.(nas) Mat 8:15 καὶ ἥψατο τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῆς, καὶ ἀφῆκεν αὐτὴν ὁ πυρετός· καὶ ἠγέρθη καὶ διηκόνει αὐτῶ. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:15 et tetigit manum ejus, et dimisit eam febris, et surrexit, et ministrabat eis.~(vulgate) וַיִּגַּע בְּיָדָהּ וַתִּרֶף הַקַּדַּחַת מִמֶּנָּה וַתָּקָם וַתְּשָׁרֵת לִפְנֵיהֶם׃ טו Matthew Mat 8:15 Da griff er ihre Hand an, und das Fieber verließ sie. Und sie stand auf und diente ihnen.(dhs) Mat 8:15 So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:16 ============ Mat 8:16 When evening came, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill.(nas) Mat 8:16 ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης προσήνεγκαν αὐτῶ δαιμονιζομένους πολλούς· καὶ ἐξέβαλεν τὰ πνεύματα λόγῳ, καὶ πάντας τοὺς κακῶς ἔχοντας ἐθεράπευσεν· (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:16 Vespere autem facto, obtulerunt ei multos dæmonia habentes: et ejiciebat spiritus verbo, et omnes male habentes curavit:(vulgate) וַיְהִי בָּעֶרֶב וַיָּבִיאוּ אֵלָיו רַבִּים אֲשֶׁר דָּבְקוּ בָּם רוּחוֹת רָעוֹת וַיְגָרֶשׁ אֶת־הָרוּחוֹת בִּדְבַר־פִּיו וְאֵת כָּל־הַחוֹלִים הֶחֱיָה מֵחָלְיָם׃ טז Matthew Mat 8:16 Am Abend aber brachten sie viele Besessene zu ihm; und er trieb die Geister aus mit Worten und machte allerlei Kranke gesund,(dhs) Mat 8:16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. "He Himself took our infirmities and carried away our diseases."(nas) Mat 8:17 ὅπως πληρωθῇ τὸ ῥηθὲν διὰ ἠσαΐου τοῦ προφήτου λέγοντος, αὐτὸς τὰς ἀσθενείας ἡμῶν ἔλαβεν καὶ τὰς νόσους ἐβάστασεν. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:17 ut adimpleretur quod dictum est per Isaiam prophetam, dicentem: [Ipse infirmitates nostras accepit: et ægrotationes nostras portavit.](vulgate) לְמַלֹּאת אֵת אֲשֶׁר נֶאֱמַר בְּיַד־יְשַׁעְיָהוּ הַנָּבִיא לֵאמֹר חֳלָיֵנוּ הוּא נָשָׂא וּמַכְאֹבֵינוּ סְבָלָם׃ יז Matthew Mat 8:17 auf das erfüllt würde, was gesagt ist durch den Propheten Jesaja, der da spricht: "Er hat unsere Schwachheiten auf sich genommen, und unsere Seuchen hat er getragen."(dhs) Mat 8:17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses."(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:18 ============ Mat 8:18 Now when Jesus saw a crowd around Him, He gave orders to depart to the other side of the sea.(nas) Mat 8:18 ἰδὼν δὲ ὁ ἰησοῦς ὄχλον περὶ αὐτὸν ἐκέλευσεν ἀπελθεῖν εἰς τὸ πέραν. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:18 Videns autem Jesus turbas multas circum se, jussit ire trans fretum.~(vulgate) וַיְהִי כִּרְאוֹת יֵשׁוּעַ הֲמוֹן עַם רָב סָבִיב־לוֹ וַיְצַו לַעֲבֹר מִשָּׁם אֶל־עֵבֶר הַיָּם׃ יח Matthew Mat 8:18 Und da Jesus viel Volks um sich sah, hieß er hinüber jenseit des Meeres fahren.(dhs) Mat 8:18 And when Jesus saw great multitudes about Him, He gave a command to depart to the other side.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:19 ============ Mat 8:19 Then a scribe came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go."(nas) Mat 8:19 καὶ προσελθὼν εἷς γραμματεὺς εἶπεν αὐτῶ, διδάσκαλε, ἀκολουθήσω σοι ὅπου ἐὰν ἀπέρχῃ. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:19 Et accedens unus scriba, ait illi: Magister, sequar te, quocumque ieris.(vulgate) וַיִּגַּשׁ אֵלָיו אַחַד הַסּוֹפְרִים וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ רַבִּי אֵלֵךְ אַחֲרֶיךָ אֶל־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר תֵּלֵךְ׃ יט Matthew Mat 8:19 Und es trat zu ihm ein Schriftgelehrter, der sprach zu ihm: Meister, ich will dir folgen, wo du hin gehst.(dhs) Mat 8:19 Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go."(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:20 ============ Mat 8:20 Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."(nas) Mat 8:20 καὶ λέγει αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς, αἱ ἀλώπεκες φωλεοὺς ἔχουσιν καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατασκηνώσεις, ὁ δὲ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου οὐκ ἔχει ποῦ τὴν κεφαλὴν κλίνῃ. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:20 Et dicit ei Jesus: Vulpes foveas habent, et volucres cæli nidos; Filius autem hominis non habet ubi caput reclinet.(vulgate) וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו יֵשׁוּעַ הַשּׁוּעָלִים חוֹרִים לָהֶם וְצִפּוֹר הַשָּׁמַיִם קֵן לָהּ וּבֶן־הָאָדָם אֵין לוֹ מָקוֹם לְהָנִיחַ אֶת־רֹאשׁוֹ׃ כ Matthew Mat 8:20 Jesus sagt zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Gruben, und die Vögel unter dem Himmel haben Nester; aber des Menschen Sohn hat nicht, da er sein Haupt hin lege.(dhs) Mat 8:20 And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:21 ============ Mat 8:21 Another of the disciples said to Him, "Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father."(nas) Mat 8:21 ἕτερος δὲ τῶν μαθητῶν [αὐτοῦ] εἶπεν αὐτῶ, κύριε, ἐπίτρεψόν μοι πρῶτον ἀπελθεῖν καὶ θάψαι τὸν πατέρα μου. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:24 et ecce motus magnus factus est in mari, ita ut navicula operiretur fluctibus: ipse vero dormiebat.(vulgate) וְהִנֵּה סַעַר גָּדוֹל נֵעוֹר בַּיָּם עַד־כַּסּוֹת הַגַּלִּים אֶת־הָאֳנִיָּה וְהוּא נִרְדָּם׃ כד Matthew Mat 8:24 Und siehe, da erhob sich ein großes Ungestüm im Meer, also daß auch das Schifflein mit Wellen bedeckt ward; und er schlief.(dhs) Mat 8:24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:25 Et accesserunt ad eum discipuli ejus, et suscitaverunt eum, dicentes: Domine, salva nos: perimus.(vulgate) וַיִּגְּשׁוּ אֵלָיו וַיְעִירֻהוּ וַיִּקְרָאוּ הוֹשִׁיעָה אֲדֹנֵינוּ כִּי אָבָדְנוּ׃ כה Matthew Mat 8:25 Und die Jünger traten zu ihm und weckten ihn auf und sprachen: HERR, hilf uns, wir verderben!(dhs) Mat 8:25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:26 ============ Mat 8:26 He said to them, "Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm.(nas) Mat 8:26 καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, τί δειλοί ἐστε, ὀλιγόπιστοι; τότε ἐγερθεὶς ἐπετίμησεν τοῖς ἀνέμοις καὶ τῇ θαλάσσῃ, καὶ ἐγένετο γαλήνη μεγάλη. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:26 Et dicit eis Jesus: Quid timidi estis, modicæ fidei? Tunc surgens imperavit ventis, et mari, et facta est tranquillitas magna.(vulgate) וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵיהֶם לָמָּה אַתֶּם חֲרֵדִים קְטַנֵּי אֱמֻנָה וַיָּקָם וַיִּגְעַר בָּרוּחוֹת וּבַיָּם וַתְּהִי דְּמָמָה גְדוֹלָה׃ כו Matthew Mat 8:26 Da sagte er zu ihnen: Ihr Kleingläubigen, warum seid ihr so furchtsam? Und stand auf und bedrohte den Wind und das Meer; da ward es ganz stille.(dhs) Mat 8:26 But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:27 ============ Mat 8:27 The men were amazed, and said, "What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"(nas) Mat 8:27 οἱ δὲ ἄνθρωποι ἐθαύμασαν λέγοντες, ποταπός ἐστιν οὖτος ὅτι καὶ οἱ ἄνεμοι καὶ ἡ θάλασσα αὐτῶ ὑπακούουσιν; (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:27 Porro homines mirati sunt, dicentes: Qualis est hic, quia venti et mare obediunt ei?~(vulgate) וַיִּתְמְהוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים לֵאמֹר מִי הוּא זֶה אֲשֶׁר גַּם־הָרוּחוֹת וְהַיָּם מַקְשִׁיבִים לְקֹלוֹ׃ כז Matthew Mat 8:27 Die Menschen aber verwunderten sich und sprachen: Was ist das für ein Mann, daß ihm Wind und Meer gehorsam ist?(dhs) Mat 8:27 So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:28 ============ Mat 8:28 When He came to the other side into the country of the Gadarenes, two men who were demon-possessed met Him as they were coming out of the tombs. They were so extremely violent that no one could pass by that way.(nas) Mat 8:28 καὶ ἐλθόντος αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ πέραν εἰς τὴν χώραν τῶν γαδαρηνῶν ὑπήντησαν αὐτῶ δύο δαιμονιζόμενοι ἐκ τῶν μνημείων ἐξερχόμενοι, χαλεποὶ λίαν, ὥστε μὴ ἰσχύειν τινὰ παρελθεῖν διὰ τῆς ὁδοῦ ἐκείνης. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:28 Et cum venisset trans fretum in regionem Gerasenorum, occurrerunt ei duo habentes dæmonia, de monumentis exeuntes, sævi nimis, ita ut nemo posset transire per viam illam.(vulgate) וַיְהִי כְּבֹאוֹ אֶל־עֵבֶר הַיָּם אֶל־אֶרֶץ הַגַּדְרִיִּם וַיִּפְגְּשֻׁהוּ שְׁנֵי אֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר דָּבְקוּ בָּם רוּחוֹת רָעוֹת יֹצְאִים מִבָּתֵּי הַקְּבָרוֹת וּפְנֵיהֶם זֹעֲפִים עַד־מְאֹד עַד־אֲשֶׁר לֹא יָכֹל אִישׁ לַעֲבֹר בַּדֶּרֶךְ הַהוּא מִפָּחַד׃ כח Matthew Mat 8:28 Und er kam jenseit des Meeres in die Gegend der Gergesener. Da liefen ihm entgegen zwei Besessene, die kamen aus den Totengräbern und waren sehr grimmig, also daß niemand diese Straße wandeln konnte.(dhs) Mat 8:28 When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:29 ============ Mat 8:29 And they cried out, saying, "What business do we have with each other, Son of God? Venisti huc ante tempus torquere nos?(vulgate) וְהִנֵּה הֵם צֹעֲקִים לֵאמֹר מַה־לָּנוּ וָלָךְ יֵשׁוּעַ בֶּן־הָאֱלֹהִים הַאִם בָּאתָ לְעַנּוֹתֵנוּ טֶרֶם בָּאָה הָעֵת׃ כט Matthew Mat 8:29 Und siehe, sie schrieen und sprachen: Ach Jesu, du Sohn Gottes, was haben wir mit dir zu tun? Bist du hergekommen, uns zu quälen, ehe denn es Zeit ist?(dhs) Mat 8:29 And suddenly they cried out, saying, "What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?"(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:30 ============ Mat 8:30 Now there was a herd of many swine feeding at a distance from them.(nas) Mat 8:30 ἦν δὲ μακρὰν ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν ἀγέλη χοίρων πολλῶν βοσκομένη. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:30 Erat autem non longe ab illis grex multorum porcorum pascens.(vulgate) וְעֵדֶר חֲזִירִים רַבִּים הָיָה רֹעֶה שָׁם מֵרָחוֹק לָהֶם׃ ל Matthew Mat 8:30 Es war aber ferne von ihnen ein große Herde Säue auf der Weide.(dhs) Mat 8:30 Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many swine feeding.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:31 ============ Mat 8:31 The demons began to entreat Him, saying, "If You are going to cast us out, send us into the herd of swine."(nas) Mat 8:31 οἱ δὲ δαίμονες παρεκάλουν αὐτὸν λέγοντες, εἰ ἐκβάλλεις ἡμᾶς, ἀπόστειλον ἡμᾶς εἰς τὴν ἀγέλην τῶν χοίρων. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:31 Dæmones autem rogabant eum, dicentes: Si ejicis nos hinc, mitte nos in gregem porcorum.(vulgate) וַיִּתְחַנְּנוּ־לוֹ הָרוּחוֹת לֵאמֹר אִם לְגָרְשֵׁנוּ אַתָּה אֹמֵר תִּנָּה־לָנוּ לָבוֹא בְּעֵדֶר הַחֲזִירִים׃ לא Matthew Mat 8:31 Da baten ihn die Teufel und sprachen: Willst du uns austreiben, so erlaube uns, in die Herde Säue zu fahren.(dhs) Mat 8:31 So the demons begged Him, saying, "If You cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine."(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:32 ============ Mat 8:32 And He said to them, "Go!" And they came out and went into the swine, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and perished in the waters.(nas) Mat 8:32 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, ὑπάγετε. οἱ δὲ ἐξελθόντες ἀπῆλθον εἰς τοὺς χοίρους· καὶ ἰδοὺ ὥρμησεν πᾶσα ἡ ἀγέλη κατὰ τοῦ κρημνοῦ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, καὶ ἀπέθανον ἐν τοῖς ὕδασιν. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:32 Et ait illis: Ite. At illi exeuntes abierunt in porcos, et ecce impetu abiit totus grex per præceps in mare: et mortui sunt in aquis.(vulgate) וַיֹּאמֶר לָהֶם לְכוּ וַיֵּצְאוּ וַיָּבֹאוּ בְּעֵדֶר הַחֲזִירִים וְהִנֵּה כָּל־הָעֵדֶר שָׁטְפוּ בַמּוֹרָד אֶל־תּוֹךְ הַיָּם וַיֹּאבְדוּ בַּמָּיִם׃ לב Matthew Mat 8:32 Und er sprach: Fahret hin! Da fuhren sie aus und in die Herde Säue. Und siehe, die ganze Herde Säue stürzte sich von dem Abhang ins Meer und ersoffen im Wasser.(dhs) Mat 8:32 And He said to them, "Go." So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:33 ============ Mat 8:33 The herdsmen ran away, and went to the city and reported everything, including what had happened to the demoniacs.(nas) Mat 8:33 οἱ δὲ βόσκοντες ἔφυγον, καὶ ἀπελθόντες εἰς τὴν πόλιν ἀπήγγειλαν πάντα καὶ τὰ τῶν δαιμονιζομένων. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:33 Pastores autem fugerunt: et venientes in civitatem, nuntiaverunt omnia, et de eis qui dæmonia habuerant.(vulgate) וְהָרֹעִים נָסוּ וַיָּבֹאוּ הָעִירָה וַיַּגִּידוּ אֶת־כָּל אֲשֶׁר נִהְיָתָה וְאֵת אֲשֶׁר קָרָה לַאֲשֶׁר דָּבְקוּ בָּם הָרוּחוֹת הָרָעוֹת׃ לג Matthew Mat 8:33 Und die Hirten flohen und gingen hin in die Stadt und sagten das alles und wie es mit den Besessenen ergangen war.(dhs) Mat 8:33 Then those who kept them fled; and they went away into the city and told everything, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men.(nkjv) ======= Matthew 8:34 ============ Mat 8:34 And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus; and when they saw Him, they implored Him to leave their region.(nas) Mat 8:34 καὶ ἰδοὺ πᾶσα ἡ πόλις ἐξῆλθεν εἰς ὑπάντησιν τῶ ἰησοῦ, καὶ ἰδόντες αὐτὸν παρεκάλεσαν ὅπως μεταβῇ ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων αὐτῶν. (Nestle-Aland) Mat 8:34 Et ecce tota civitas exiit obviam Jesu: et viso eo, rogabant ut transiret a finibus eorum.(vulgate) וְהִנֵּה כָּל־הָעִיר יָצְאָה לִקְרַאת יֵשׁוּעַ וַיִּרְאֻהוּ וַיִּפְצְרוּ־בוֹ לַעֲבֹר מִגְּבוּלָם׃ לד Matthew Mat 8:34 Und siehe, da ging die ganze Stadt heraus Jesu entgegen. Und da sie ihn sahen, baten sie ihn, daß er aus ihrer Gegend weichen wollte.(dhs) Mat 8:34 And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus.
