Today's Date: ======= Revelation 2:1 ============ Rev 2:1 "To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this:(nas) Rev 2:1 τῶ ἀγγέλῳ τῆς ἐν ἐφέσῳ ἐκκλησίας γράψον· τάδε λέγει ὁ κρατῶν τοὺς ἑπτὰ ἀστέρας ἐν τῇ δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦ, ὁ περιπατῶν ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἑπτὰ λυχνιῶν τῶν χρυσῶν· (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:1 Angelo Ephesi ecclesiæ scribe: Hæc dicit, qui tenet septem stellas in dextera sua, qui ambulat in medio septem candelabrorum aureorum:(vulgate) אֶל־מַלְאַךְ הַקָּהָל בְּאֶפְסוֹס כְּתֹב כֹּה אָמַר הָאֹחֵז שִׁבְעָה כוֹכָבִים בִּימִינוֹ הַמִּתְהַלֵּךְ בְּתוֹךְ שֶׁבַע מְנֹרוֹת זָהָב׃ א Revelation Rev 2:1 Dem Engel der Gemeinde zu Ephesus schreibe: Das sagt, der da hält die sieben Sterne in seiner Rechten, der da wandelt mitten unter den sieben goldenen Leuchtern:(dhs) Rev 2:1 "To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,'These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:2 ============ Rev 2:2 'I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false;(nas) Rev 2:2 οἶδα τὰ ἔργα σου καὶ τὸν κόπον καὶ τὴν ὑπομονήν σου, καὶ ὅτι οὐ δύνῃ βαστάσαι κακούς, καὶ ἐπείρασας τοὺς λέγοντας ἑαυτοὺς ἀποστόλους καὶ οὐκ εἰσίν, καὶ εὖρες αὐτοὺς ψευδεῖς· (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:2 Scio opera tua, et laborem, et patientiam tuam, et quia non potes sustinere malos: et tentasti eos, qui se dicunt apostolos esse, et non sunt: et invenisti eos mendaces:(vulgate) יָדַעְתִּי אֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָ אֶת־עֲמָלְךָ וְאֶת־עֹצֶר רוּחֶךָ וְכִי לֹא־תוּכַל שְׂאֵת אַנְשֵׁי־אָוֶן וַתִּבְחַן אֶת־הָאֹמְרִים כִּי שְׁלִיחִים הֵם וְאֵינָם כֵּן כִּי־מָצָאתָ אֹתָם כֹּזְבִים׃ ב Revelation Rev 2:2 Ich weiß deine Werke und deine Arbeit und deine Geduld und daß du die Bösen nicht tragen kannst; und hast versucht die, so da sagen, sie seien Apostel, und sind's nicht, und hast sie als Lügner erfunden;(dhs) Rev 2:2 I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:3 ============ Rev 2:3 and you have perseverance and have endured for My name's sake, and have not grown weary.(nas) Rev 2:3 καὶ ὑπομονὴν ἔχεις, καὶ ἐβάστασας διὰ τὸ ὄνομά μου, καὶ οὐ κεκοπίακες. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:3 et patientiam habes, et sustinuisti propter nomen meum, et non defecisti.(vulgate) וְאַתָּה בְּעֹצֶר רוּחֲךָ סָבַלְתָּ הַרְבֵּה לְמַעַן שְׁמִי וְלֹא עָיְפָה נַפְשְׁךָ׃ ג Revelation Rev 2:3 und verträgst und hast Geduld, und um meines Namens willen arbeitest du und bist nicht müde geworden.(dhs) Rev 2:3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name's sake and have not become weary.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:4 ============ Rev 2:4 But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.(nas) Rev 2:4 ἀλλὰ ἔχω κατὰ σοῦ ὅτι τὴν ἀγάπην σου τὴν πρώτην ἀφῆκες. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:4 Sed habeo adversum te, quod caritatem tuam primam reliquisti.(vulgate) אֶפֶס דָּבָר לִי אֵלֶיךָ כִּי־אֶת־אַהֲבָתְךָ הָרִאשֹׁנָה עָזָבְתָּ׃ ד Revelation Rev 2:4 Aber ich habe wider dich, daß du die erste Liebe verlässest.(dhs) Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:5 ============ Rev 2:5 Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place--unless you repent.(nas) Rev 2:5 μνημόνευε οὗν πόθεν πέπτωκας, καὶ μετανόησον καὶ τὰ πρῶτα ἔργα ποίησον· εἰ δὲ μή, ἔρχομαί σοι καὶ κινήσω τὴν λυχνίαν σου ἐκ τοῦ τόπου αὐτῆς, ἐὰν μὴ μετανοήσῃς. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:5 Memor esto itaque unde excideris: et age pœnitentiam, et prima opera fac: sin autem, venio tibi, et movebo candelabrum tuum de loco suo, nisi pœnitentiam egeris.(vulgate) זְכָר־נָא אֵפוֹא מֵאַיִן נָפַלְתָּ שׁוּבָה אֵלַי וַעֲשֵׂה כְמַעֲשֶׂיךָ הָרִאשֹׁנִים וְאִם לֹא תֹאבֶה וְלֹא תָשׁוּב אָבוֹא אֵלֶיךָ וְהָדַפְתִּי מְנֹרָתְךָ מִמַּצָּבָהּ׃ ה Revelation Rev 2:5 Gedenke, wovon du gefallen bist, und tue Buße und tue die ersten Werke. Wo aber nicht, werde ich dir bald kommen und deinen Leuchter wegstoßen von seiner Stätte, wo du nicht Buße tust.(dhs) Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place--unless you repent.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:6 ============ Rev 2:6 Yet this you do have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.(nas) Rev 2:6 ἀλλὰ τοῦτο ἔχεις, ὅτι μισεῖς τὰ ἔργα τῶν νικολαϊτῶν, ἃ κἀγὼ μισῶ. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:6 Sed hoc habes, quia odisti facta Nicolaitarum, quæ et ego odi.(vulgate) אֲבָל דָּבָר טוֹב נִמְצָא בְךָ כִּי תְתַעֵב אֶת־פָּעֳלֵי הַנִּקְלָסִיִּים אֲשֶׁר גַּם־אָנֹכִי מְתָעֵב אֹתָם׃ ו Revelation Rev 2:6 Aber das hast du, daß du die Werke der Nikolaiten hassest, welche ich auch hasse.(dhs) Rev 2:6 But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:7 ============ Rev 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.'(nas) Rev 2:7 ὁ ἔχων οὗς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. τῶ νικῶντι δώσω αὐτῶ φαγεῖν ἐκ τοῦ ξύλου τῆς ζωῆς, ὅ ἐστιν ἐν τῶ παραδείσῳ τοῦ θεοῦ. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:7 Qui habet aurem, audiat quid Spiritus dicat ecclesiis: Vincenti dabo edere de ligno vitæ, quod est in paradiso Dei mei.~(vulgate) מִי אֲשֶׁר־אָזְנַיִם לוֹ יַקְשִׁיב אֵת אֲשֶׁר הָרוּחַ מַגִּיד לַקְּהִלּוֹת לַמְנַצֵּחַ אֶתֵּן לֶאֱכֹל מֵעֵץ הַחַיִּים אֲשֶׁר בְּגַן הָאֱלֹהִים׃ ז Revelation Rev 2:7 Wer Ohren hat, der höre, was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt: Wer überwindet, dem will ich zu essen geben vom Holz des Lebens, das im Paradies Gottes ist.(dhs) Rev 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God." '(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:8 ============ Rev 2:8 "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life, says this:(nas) Rev 2:8 καὶ τῶ ἀγγέλῳ τῆς ἐν σμύρνῃ ἐκκλησίας γράψον· τάδε λέγει ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ὁ ἔσχατος, ὃς ἐγένετο νεκρὸς καὶ ἔζησεν· (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:8 Et angelo Smyrnæ ecclesiæ scribe: Hæc dicit primus, et novissimus, qui fuit mortuus, et vivit:(vulgate) וְאֶל־מַלְאַךְ הַקָּהָל בִּשְׂמִירְנָא כְּתֹב כֹּה אָמַר הָרִאשׁוֹן וְהָאַחֲרוֹן אֲשֶׁר־מֵת וָחָי׃ ח Revelation Rev 2:8 Und dem Engel der Gemeinde zu Smyrna schreibe: das sagt der Erste und der Letzte, der tot war und ist lebendig geworden:(dhs) Rev 2:8 "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write,'These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life:(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:9 ============ Rev 2:9 'I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.(nas) Rev 2:9 οἶδά σου τὴν θλῖψιν καὶ τὴν πτωχείαν, ἀλλὰ πλούσιος εἶ, καὶ τὴν βλασφημίαν ἐκ τῶν λεγόντων ἰουδαίους εἶναι ἑαυτούς, καὶ οὐκ εἰσὶν ἀλλὰ συναγωγὴ τοῦ σατανᾶ. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.(nas) Rev 2:10 μηδὲν φοβοῦ ἃ μέλλεις πάσχειν. ἰδοὺ μέλλει βάλλειν ὁ διάβολος ἐξ ὑμῶν εἰς φυλακὴν ἵνα πειρασθῆτε, καὶ ἕξετε θλῖψιν ἡμερῶν δέκα. γίνου πιστὸς ἄχρι θανάτου, καὶ δώσω σοι τὸν στέφανον τῆς ζωῆς. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:10 Nihil horum timeas quæ passurus es. Ecce missurus est diabolus aliquos ex vobis in carcerem ut tentemini: et habebitis tribulationem diebus decem. Esto fidelis usque ad mortem, et dabo tibi coronam vitæ.(vulgate) אַל־תִּירָא מִפְּנֵי הַצָּרָה הַבָּאָה עָלֶיךָ הִנֵּה הַשּׂוֹטֵן יִתֵּן אֲנָשִׁים מִכֶּם אֶל־בֵּית הַסֹּהַר לְמַעַן תִּבָּחֵנוּ וְעָבְרָה עֲלֵיכֶם צָרָה עֲשֶׂרֶת יָמִים הֱיֵה נֶאֱמָן עַד־הַמָּוֶת וְנָתַתִּי לְךָ עֲטֶרֶת הַחַיִּים׃ י Revelation Rev 2:10 Fürchte dich vor der keinem, das du leiden wirst! Siehe, der Teufel wird etliche von euch ins Gefängnis werfen, auf daß ihr versucht werdet, und werdet Trübsal haben zehn Tage. Sei getrost bis an den Tod, so will ich dir die Krone des Lebens geben.(dhs) Rev 2:10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. '(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:12 ============ Rev 2:12 "And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: The One who has the sharp two-edged sword says this:(nas) Rev 2:12 καὶ τῶ ἀγγέλῳ τῆς ἐν περγάμῳ ἐκκλησίας γράψον· τάδε λέγει ὁ ἔχων τὴν ῥομφαίαν τὴν δίστομον τὴν ὀξεῖαν· (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:12 Et angelo Pergami ecclesiæ scribe: Hæc dicit qui habet rhomphæam utraque parte acutam:(vulgate) וְאֶל־מַלְאַךָ הַקָּהָל בְּפַרְגְּמוֹס כְּתֹב כֹּה אָמַר הַהוּא אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ חֶרֶב פִּיפִיּוֹת חַדָּה׃ יב Revelation Rev 2:12 Und dem Engel der Gemeinde zu Pergamus schreibe: Das sagt, der da hat das scharfe, zweischneidige Schwert:(dhs) Rev 2:12 "And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write,'These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword:(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:13 ============ Rev 2:13 'I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is; and you hold fast My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.(nas) Rev 2:13 οἶδα ποῦ κατοικεῖς, ὅπου ὁ θρόνος τοῦ σατανᾶ, καὶ κρατεῖς τὸ ὄνομά μου, καὶ οὐκ ἠρνήσω τὴν πίστιν μου καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἀντιπᾶς ὁ μάρτυς μου ὁ πιστός μου, ὃς ἀπεκτάνθη παρ᾽ ὑμῖν, ὅπου ὁ σατανᾶς κατοικεῖ. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:13 Scio ubi habitas, ubi sedes est Satanæ: et tenes nomen meum, et non negasti fidem meam. Et in diebus illis Antipas testis meus fidelis, qui occisus est apud vos ubi Satanas habitat.(vulgate) יָדַעְתִּי אֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָ וְאֶת־מְקוֹם שִׁבְתְּךָ מְקוֹם כִּסֵּא הַשָּׂטָן וְאַתָּה דָבַקְתָּ בִשְׁמִי וְלֹא שִׁקַּרְתָּ בֶּאֱמוּנָתִי גַּם־בַּיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר הוּמַת בָּכֶם אַנְטִיפַּס עֵד נֶאֱמָן לִי בִּמְקוֹם מוֹשַׁב הַשָּׂטָן׃ יג Revelation Rev 2:13 Ich weiß, was du tust und wo du wohnst, da des Satans Stuhl ist; und hältst an meinem Namen und hast meinen Glauben nicht verleugnet auch in den Tagen, in welchen Antipas, mein treuer Zeuge, bei euch getötet ist, da der Satan wohnt.(dhs) Rev 2:13 I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:14 ============ Rev 2:14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit acts of immorality.(nas) Rev 2:14 ἀλλ᾽ ἔχω κατὰ σοῦ ὀλίγα, ὅτι ἔχεις ἐκεῖ κρατοῦντας τὴν διδαχὴν βαλαάμ, ὃς ἐδίδασκεν τῶ βαλὰκ βαλεῖν σκάνδαλον ἐνώπιον τῶν υἱῶν ἰσραήλ, φαγεῖν εἰδωλόθυτα καὶ πορνεῦσαι· (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:14 Sed habeo aversus te pauca: quia habes illic tenentes doctrinam Balaam, qui docebat Balac mittere scandalum coram filiis Israël, edere, et fornicari:(vulgate) אֶפֶס שֶׁמֶץ דָּבָר מָצָאתִי בָךָ כִּי־נִמְצְאוּ בְךָ אֲנָשִׁים דְּבֵקִים בְּתוֹרַת בִּלְעָם אֲשֶׁר הוֹרָה לְבָלָק לָתֵת מִכְשׁוֹל לִפְנֵי בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֶאֱכֹל מִזִּבְחֵי אֱלִילִים וְלִזְנוֹת׃ יד Revelation Rev 2:14 Aber ich habe ein Kleines wider dich, daß du daselbst hast, die an der Lehre Bileams halten, welcher lehrte den Balak ein Ärgernis aufrichten vor den Kindern Israel, zu essen Götzenopfer und Hurerei zu treiben.(dhs) Rev 2:14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:15 ============ Rev 2:15 So you also have some who in the same way hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans.(nas) Rev 2:15 οὕτως ἔχεις καὶ σὺ κρατοῦντας τὴν διδαχὴν [τῶν] νικολαϊτῶν ὁμοίως. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:15 ita habes et tu tenentes doctrinam Nicolaitarum.(vulgate) וְכֵן נִמְצְאוּ גַם־בְּךָ אֲנָשִׁים דְּבֵקִים בְּתוֹרַת הַנִּיקְלָסִיִּים אֲשֶׁר שָׂנֵאתִי׃ טו Revelation Rev 2:15 Also hast du auch, die an der Lehre der Nikolaiten halten: das hasse ich.(dhs) Rev 2:15 Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:16 ============ Rev 2:16 Therefore repent; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth.(nas) Rev 2:16 μετανόησον οὗν· εἰ δὲ μή, ἔρχομαί σοι ταχύ, καὶ πολεμήσω μετ᾽ αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ ῥομφαίᾳ τοῦ στόματός μου. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:16 Similiter pœnitentiam age: si quominus veniam tibi cito, et pugnabo cum illis in gladio oris mei.(vulgate) שׁוֹבָה־נָּא אֵפוֹא וְאִם לֹא תָשׁוּב אָבוֹא עָלֶיךָ מְהֵרָה וְנִלְחַמְתִּי־בָם בְּחֶרֶב־פִּי׃ טז Revelation Rev 2:16 Tue Buße; wo aber nicht, so werde ich dir bald kommen und mit ihnen kriegen durch das Schwert meines Mundes.(dhs) Rev 2:16 Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:17 ============ Rev 2:17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it.'(nas) Rev 2:17 ὁ ἔχων οὗς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. τῶ νικῶντι δώσω αὐτῶ τοῦ μάννα τοῦ κεκρυμμένου, καὶ δώσω αὐτῶ ψῆφον λευκὴν καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν ψῆφον ὄνομα καινὸν γεγραμμένον ὃ οὐδεὶς οἶδεν εἰ μὴ ὁ λαμβάνων. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:17 Qui habet aurem, audiat quid Spiritus dicat ecclesiis: Vincenti dabo manna absconditum, et dabo illi calculum candidum: et in calculo nomen novum scriptum, quod nemo scit, nisi qui accipit.~(vulgate) מִי אֲשֶׁר־אָזְנַיִם לוֹ יַקְשִׁיב אֵת אֲשֶׁר הָרוּחַ מַגִּיד לַקְּהִלּוֹת לַמְנַצֵּחַ אֶתֵּן מִן־הַמָּן הַשָּׁמוּר וְנָתַתִּי לוֹ אֶבֶן לְבָנָה וְעַל־הָאֶבֶן חָקוּק שֵׁם חָדָשׁ אֲשֶׁר אִישׁ לֹא יִקֳּבֶנוּ בִּלְתִּי הַמְקַבֵּל׃ יז Revelation Rev 2:17 Wer Ohren hat, der höre, was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt: Wer überwindet, dem will zu essen geben von dem verborgenen Manna und will ihm geben einen weißen Stein und auf den Stein einen neuen Namen geschrieben, welchen niemand kennt, denn der ihn empfängt.(dhs) Rev 2:17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it." (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:19 Novi opera tua, et fidem, et caritatem tuam, et ministerium, et patientiam tuam, et opera tua novissima plura prioribus.(vulgate) יָדַעְתִּי אֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָ אֶת־אַהֲבָתְךָ אֶת־אֱמוּנָתְךָ אֶת־עֲבֹדָתְךָ וְאֶת־עֹצֶר רוּחֶךָ וְכִי רַבּוּ מַעֲשֶׂיךָ הָאַחֲרוֹנִים מִן־הָרִאשֹׁנִים׃ יט Revelation Rev 2:19 Ich weiß deine Werke und deine Liebe und deinen Dienst und deinen Glauben und deine Geduld und daß du je länger, je mehr tust.(dhs) Rev 2:19 I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:20 ============ Rev 2:20 But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.(nas) Rev 2:20 ἀλλὰ ἔχω κατὰ σοῦ ὅτι ἀφεῖς τὴν γυναῖκα ἰεζάβελ, ἡ λέγουσα ἑαυτὴν προφῆτιν, καὶ διδάσκει καὶ πλανᾷ τοὺς ἐμοὺς δούλους πορνεῦσαι καὶ φαγεῖν εἰδωλόθυτα. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:20 Sed habeo adversus te pauca: quia permittis mulierem Jezabel, quæ se dicit propheten, docere, et seducere servos meos, fornicari, et manducare de idolothytis.(vulgate) אֶפֶס דָּבָר לִי אֵלֶיךָ כִּי הוֹשַׁבְתָּ עִמְּךָ אֶת־אִיזֶבֶל הָאִשָּׁה הָאֹמֶרֶת כִּי־נְבִיאָה הִיא לְלַמֵּד אֶת־עֲבָדַי וּלְפַתֹּתָם לִזְנוֹת וְלֶאֱכֹל מִזִּבְחֵי אֱלִילִים׃ כ Revelation Rev 2:20 Aber ich habe wider dich, daß du lässest das Weib Isebel, die da spricht, sie sei eine Prophetin, lehren und verführen meine Knechte, Hurerei zu treiben und Götzenopfer zu essen.(dhs) Rev 2:20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:21 ============ Rev 2:21 I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality.(nas) Rev 2:21 καὶ ἔδωκα αὐτῇ χρόνον ἵνα μετανοήσῃ, καὶ οὐ θέλει μετανοῆσαι ἐκ τῆς πορνείας αὐτῆς. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:21 Et dedi illi tempus ut pœnitentiam ageret: et non vult pœnitere a fornicatione sua.(vulgate) וַאֲנִי נָתַתִּי לָהּ זְמָן לָשׁוּב וְהִיא לֹא שָׁבָה מִתַּזְנוּתֶיהָ׃ כא Revelation Rev 2:21 Und ich habe ihr Zeit gegeben, daß sie sollte Buße tun für ihre Hurerei; und sie tut nicht Buße.(dhs) Rev 2:21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:22 ============ Rev 2:22 Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.(nas) Rev 2:22 ἰδοὺ βάλλω αὐτὴν εἰς κλίνην, καὶ τοὺς μοιχεύοντας μετ᾽ αὐτῆς εἰς θλῖψιν μεγάλην, ἐὰν μὴ μετανοήσωσιν ἐκ τῶν ἔργων αὐτῆς· (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:22 Ecce mittam eam in lectum: et qui mœchantur cum ea, in tribulatione maxima erunt, nisi pœnitentiam ab operibus suis egerint.(vulgate) הִנֵּה אֲנִי מַטִּיל אֹתָהּ אֶל־הַמִּטָּה וְנֹאֲפֶיהָ עִמָּהּ בְּצָרָה גְדוֹלָה אִם־לֹא יְשׁוּבוּן מִמַּעֲשֵׂיהֶם׃ כב Revelation Rev 2:22 Siehe, ich werfe sie in ein Bett, und die mit ihr die Ehe gebrochen haben, in große Trübsal, wo sie nicht Buße tun für ihre Werke,(dhs) Rev 2:22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:23 ============ Rev 2:23 And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.(nas) Rev 2:23 καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῆς ἀποκτενῶ ἐν θανάτῳ· καὶ γνώσονται πᾶσαι αἱ ἐκκλησίαι ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ἐραυνῶν νεφροὺς καὶ καρδίας, καὶ δώσω ὑμῖν ἑκάστῳ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα ὑμῶν. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:23 Et filios ejus interficiam in morte, et scient omnes ecclesiæ, quia ego sum scrutans renes, et corda: et dabo unicuique vestrum secundum opera sua. Vobis autem dico,(vulgate) וְאֶת־בָּנֶיהָ אַכֶּה בַדָּבֶר וְיָדְעוּ כָל־הַקְּהִלּוֹת כִּי אֲנִי הוּא בֹחֵן כְּלָיוֹת וָלֵב וּלְאִישׁ אִישׁ מִכֶּם כְּמַעֲלָלָיו אָשִׁיב לוֹ׃ כג Revelation Rev 2:23 und ihre Kinder will ich zu Tode schlagen. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:24 ============ Rev 2:24 But I say to you, the rest who are in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not known the deep things of Satan, as they call them" I place no other burden on you.(nas) Rev 2:24 ὑμῖν δὲ λέγω τοῖς λοιποῖς τοῖς ἐν θυατείροις, ὅσοι οὐκ ἔχουσιν τὴν διδαχὴν ταύτην, οἵτινες οὐκ ἔγνωσαν τὰ βαθέα τοῦ σατανᾶ, ὡς λέγουσιν, οὐ βάλλω ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς ἄλλο βάρος· (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:24 et ceteris qui Thyatiræ estis: quicumque non habent doctrinam hanc, et qui non cognoverunt altitudines Satanæ, quemadmodum dicunt, non mittam super vos aliud pondus:(vulgate) וְאַתֶּם הַנִּשְׁאָרִים בְּתִיאֲטִירָא כָּל־אֲשֶׁר לֹא נָטוּ יָדָם עִם־הַלִּמּוּדִים הָהֵם וְלֹא יָרְדוּ לְעֹמֶק מֶחְקְרֵי הַשָּׂטָן כַּאֲשֶׁר זֶה לְשׁוֹנָם בְּפִיהֶם אֲלֵיכֶם הִנְנִי מְדַבֵּר כִּי לֹא־אָשִׂים עֲלֵיכֶם עֹל אַחֵר׃ כד Revelation Rev 2:24 Euch aber sage ich, den andern, die zu Thyatira sind, die nicht haben solche Lehre und die nicht erkannt haben die Tiefen des Satans (wie sie sagen): Ich will nicht auf euch werfen eine andere Last:(dhs) Rev 2:24 Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:25 ============ Rev 2:25 Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come.(nas) Rev 2:25 πλὴν ὃ ἔχετε κρατήσατε ἄχρι[ς] οὖ ἂν ἥξω. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:25 tamen id quod habetis, tenete donec veniam.(vulgate) בִּלְתִּי כִי־תִשְׁמְרוּן אֵת אֲשֶׁר קִבַּלְתֶּם עֲלֵיכֶם לִשְׁמֹר עַד כִּי אָבוֹא׃ כה Revelation Rev 2:25 doch was ihr habt, das haltet, bis daß ich komme.(dhs) Rev 2:25 But hold fast what you have till I come.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:26 ============ Rev 2:26 He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, TO HIM I WILL GIVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS;(nas) Rev 2:26 καὶ ὁ νικῶν καὶ ὁ τηρῶν ἄχρι τέλους τὰ ἔργα μου, δώσω αὐτῶ ἐξουσίαν ἐπὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν, (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:26 Et qui vicerit, et custodierit usque in finem opera mea, dabo illi potestatem super gentes,(vulgate) הַמְנַצֵּחַ הַשֹּׁמֵר אֶת־מִצְוֹתַי עַד־הַקֵּץ אֶתֶּן־לוֹ מֶמְשָׁלָה עַל־הַגּוֹיִם׃ כו Revelation Rev 2:26 Und wer da überwindet und hält meine Werke bis ans Ende, dem will ich Macht geben über die Heiden,(dhs) Rev 2:26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations--(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:27 ============ Rev 2:27 AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON, AS THE VESSELS OF THE POTTER ARE BROKEN TO PIECES, as I also have received authority from My Father;(nas) Rev 2:27 καὶ ποιμανεῖ αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥάβδῳ σιδηρᾷ, ὡς τὰ σκεύη τὰ κεραμικὰ συντρίβεται, (Nestle-Aland) Rev 2:27 et reget eas in virga ferrea, et tamquam vas figuli confringentur,(vulgate) וְהוּא יְרֹעֵם בְּשֵׁבֶט בַּרְזֵל וְכִכְלִי יוֹצֵר יְנַפְּצֵם כַּאֲשֶׁר דִבֶּר לִי אָבִי גַּם־אָנִי׃ כז Revelation Rev 2:27 und er soll sie weiden mit einem eisernen Stabe, und wie eines Töpfers Gefäße soll er sie zerschmeißen,(dhs) Rev 2:27 'He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels'-- as I also have received from My Father;(nkjv) ======= Revelation 2:28 ============ Rev 2:28 and I will give him the morning star.(nas) Rev 2:28 ὡς κἀγὼ εἴληφα παρὰ τοῦ πατρός μου, καὶ δώσω αὐτῶ τὸν ἀστέρα τὸν πρωϊνόν.
