Today's Date: ======= Revelation 6:1 ============ Rev 6:1 Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come."(nas) Rev 6:1 καὶ εἶδον ὅτε ἤνοιξεν τὸ ἀρνίον μίαν ἐκ τῶν ἑπτὰ σφραγίδων, καὶ ἤκουσα ἑνὸς ἐκ τῶν τεσσάρων ζῴων λέγοντος ὡς φωνὴ βροντῆς, ἔρχου. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:1 Et vidi quod aperuisset Agnus unum de septem sigillis, et audivi unum de quatuor animalibus, dicens tamquam vocem tonitrui: Veni, et vide.(vulgate) אַחֲרֵי־כֵן רָאִיתִי אֶת־הַשֶּׂה פֹּתֵחַ אֶחָד מִן־שִׁבְעָה הַחֹתָמוֹת וְקוֹל אַחַת מִן־אַרְבַּע הַחַיּוֹת כְּקוֹל רַעַם שָׁמַעְתִּי לֵאמֹר בֹּא וּרְאֵה׃ א Revelation Rev 6:1 Und ich sah, daß das Lamm der Siegel eines auftat; und hörte der vier Tiere eines sagen wie mit einer Donnerstimme: Komm!(dhs) Rev 6:1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, "Come and see."(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:2 ============ Rev 6:2 I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.(nas) Rev 6:2 καὶ εἶδον, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἵππος λευκός, καὶ ὁ καθήμενος ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἔχων τόξον, καὶ ἐδόθη αὐτῶ στέφανος, καὶ ἐξῆλθεν νικῶν καὶ ἵνα νικήσῃ. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:2 Et vidi: et ecce equus albus, et qui sedebat super illum, habebat arcum, et data est ei corona, et exivit vincens ut vinceret.(vulgate) וָאֵרֶא וְהִנֵּה סוּס לָבָן וְהָרֹכֵב עָלָיו לוֹ קֶשֶׁת וַיְעַטְּרוּ־לוֹ עֲטָרָה וַיֵּצֵא כְגִבּוֹר מִלְחָמָה אֲשֶׁר יָעֹז בִּגְבֻרָתוֹ׃ ב Revelation Rev 6:2 Und ich sah, und siehe, ein weißes Pferd. Und der daraufsaß, hatte einen Bogen; und ihm ward gegeben eine Krone, und er zog aus sieghaft, und daß er siegte.(dhs) Rev 6:2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:3 ============ Rev 6:3 When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come."(nas) Rev 6:3 καὶ ὅτε ἤνοιξεν τὴν σφραγῖδα τὴν δευτέραν, ἤκουσα τοῦ δευτέρου ζῴου λέγοντος, ἔρχου. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:3 Et cum aperuisset sigillum secundum, audivi secundum animal, dicens: Veni, et vide.(vulgate) וְכַאֲשֶׁר פָּתַח אֶת־הַחוֹתָם הַשֵּׁנִי שָׁמַעְתִּי אֶת־הַחַיָּה הַשֵּׁנִית אֹמֶרֶת בֹּא וּרְאֵה׃ ג Revelation Rev 6:3 Und da es das andere Siegel auftat, hörte ich das andere Tier sagen: Komm!(dhs) Rev 6:3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come and see."(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:4 ============ Rev 6:4 And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.(nas) Rev 6:4 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἄλλος ἵππος πυρρός, καὶ τῶ καθημένῳ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἐδόθη αὐτῶ λαβεῖν τὴν εἰρήνην ἐκ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἵνα ἀλλήλους σφάξουσιν, καὶ ἐδόθη αὐτῶ μάχαιρα μεγάλη. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:4 Et exivit alius equus rufus: et qui sedebat super illum, datum est ei ut sumeret pacem de terra, et ut invicem se interficiant, et datus est ei gladius magnus.(vulgate) וַיֵּצֵא סוּס אַחֵר אָדֹם וְהָרֹכֵב עָלָיו כֹּחַ בְּיָדוֹ לְהַעֲבִיר אֶת־הַשָּׁלוֹם מִן־הָאָרֶץ לְבַעֲבוּר יַהַרְגוּ אִישׁ אֶת־רֵעֵהוּ וְחֶרֶב גְּדֹלָה נִתְּנָה בְיָדוֹ׃ ד Revelation Rev 6:4 Und es ging heraus ein anderes Pferd, das war rot. Und dem, der daraufsaß, ward gegeben, den Frieden zu nehmen von der Erde und daß sie sich untereinander erwürgten; und ward ihm ein großes Schwert gegeben.(dhs) Rev 6:4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:5 ============ Rev 6:5 When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, "Come." I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.(nas) Rev 6:5 καὶ ὅτε ἤνοιξεν τὴν σφραγῖδα τὴν τρίτην, ἤκουσα τοῦ τρίτου ζῴου λέγοντος, ἔρχου. καὶ εἶδον, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἵππος μέλας, καὶ ὁ καθήμενος ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἔχων ζυγὸν ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:5 Et cum aperuisset sigillum tertium, audivi tertium animal, dicens: Veni, et vide. Et ecce equus niger: et qui sedebat super illum, habebat stateram in manu sua.(vulgate) וְכַאֲשֶׁר פָּתַח אֶת־הַחוֹתָם הַשְּׁלִישִׁי שָׁמַעְתִּי אֶת־קוֹל הַחַיָּה הַשְּׁלִישִׁית לֵאמֹר בֹּא וּרְאֵה וָאַבֵּט וְהִנֵּה סוּס שָׁחֹר וְהָרֹכֵב עָלָי מֹאזְנֵי מִשְׁקָל בְּיָדוֹ׃ ה Revelation Rev 6:5 Und da es das dritte Siegel auftat, hörte ich das dritte Tier sagen: Komm! Und ich sah, und siehe, ein schwarzes Pferd. Und der daraufsaß, hatte eine Waage in seiner Hand.(dhs) Rev 6:5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come and see." So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:6 ============ Rev 6:6 And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine."(nas) Rev 6:6 καὶ ἤκουσα ὡς φωνὴν ἐν μέσῳ τῶν τεσσάρων ζῴων λέγουσαν, χοῖνιξ σίτου δηναρίου, καὶ τρεῖς χοίνικες κριθῶν δηναρίου· καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον καὶ τὸν οἶνον μὴ ἀδικήσῃς. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:6 Et audivi tamquam vocem in medio quatuor animalium dicentium: Bilibris tritici denario et tres bilibres hordei denario, et vinum, et oleum ne læseris.(vulgate) וָאֶשְׁמַע קוֹל מִתּוֹךְ אַרְבַּע הַחַיּוֹת לֵאמֹר קַב חִטִּים בְּבֶקַע כֶּסֶף וּשְׁלשָׁה קַבִּים שְׂעֹרִים בְּבֶקַע כֶּסֶף וְאֶת־הַשֶּׁמֶן וְאֶת־הַיַּיִן אַל־תַּשְׁחֵת׃ ו Revelation Rev 6:6 Und ich hörte eine Stimme unter den vier Tieren sagen: Ein Maß Weizen um einen Groschen und drei Maß Gerste um einen Groschen; und dem Öl und Wein tu kein Leid!(dhs) Rev 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine."(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:7 ============ Rev 6:7 When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come."(nas) Rev 6:7 καὶ ὅτε ἤνοιξεν τὴν σφραγῖδα τὴν τετάρτην, ἤκουσα φωνὴν τοῦ τετάρτου ζῴου λέγοντος, ἔρχου. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:7 Et cum aperuisset sigillum quartum, audivi vocem quarti animalis dicentis: Veni, et vide.(vulgate) וְכַאֲשֶׁר פָּתַח אֶת־הַחוֹתָם הָרְבִיעִי שָׁמַעְתִּי קוֹל הַחַיָּה הָרְבִיעִית לֵאמֹר בֹּא וּרְאֵה׃ ז Revelation Rev 6:7 Und da es das vierte Siegel auftat, hörte ich die Stimme des vierten Tiers sagen: Komm!(dhs) Rev 6:7 When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come and see."(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:8 ============ Rev 6:8 I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.(nas) Rev 6:8 καὶ εἶδον, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἵππος χλωρός, καὶ ὁ καθήμενος ἐπάνω αὐτοῦ ὄνομα αὐτῶ [ὁ] θάνατος, καὶ ὁ ᾅδης ἠκολούθει μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐδόθη αὐτοῖς ἐξουσία ἐπὶ τὸ τέταρτον τῆς γῆς, ἀποκτεῖναι ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ καὶ ἐν λιμῶ καὶ ἐν θανάτῳ καὶ ὑπὸ τῶν θηρίων τῆς γῆς. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:8 Et ecce equus pallidus: et qui sedebat super eum, nomen illi Mors, et infernus sequebatur eum, et data est illi potestas super quatuor partes terræ, interficere gladio, fame, et morte, et bestiis terræ.(vulgate) וָאֵרֶא וְהִנֵּה סוּס כְּעֵין יֵרָקוֹן וְהָרֹכֵב עָלָיו מָוֶת שְׁמוֹ וּשְׁאוֹל יֹצֵאת אַחֲרָיו וְכֹחַ נִתַּן לָהֶם לַהֲרֹג אֶת־רֹבַע הָאָרֶץ בַּחֶרֶב בָּרָעָב בַּדֶּבֶר וּבְחַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה׃ ח Revelation Rev 6:8 Und ich sah, und siehe, ein fahles Pferd. Und der daraufsaß, des Name hieß Tod, und die Hölle folgte ihm nach. Und ihnen ward Macht gegeben, zu töten das vierte Teil auf der Erde mit dem Schwert und Hunger und mit dem Tod und durch die Tiere auf Erden.(dhs) Rev 6:8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:9 ============ Rev 6:9 When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained;(nas) Rev 6:9 καὶ ὅτε ἤνοιξεν τὴν πέμπτην σφραγῖδα, εἶδον ὑποκάτω τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τὰς ψυχὰς τῶν ἐσφαγμένων διὰ τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ διὰ τὴν μαρτυρίαν ἣν εἶχον. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:9 Et cum aperuisset sigillum quintum, vidi subtus altare animas interfectorum propter verbum Dei, et propter testimonium, quod habebant:(vulgate) וּכְפִתְחוֹ אֶת־הַחוֹתָם הַחֲמִישִׁי וָאֵרֶא מִתַּחַת לַמִּזְבֵּחַ אֶת־נַפְשׁוֹת הַנֶּהֱרָגִים עַל־דְּבַר הָאֱלֹהִים וְעַל־אֲשֶׁר נָתְנוּ אֶת־עֵדוּתָם׃ ט Revelation Rev 6:9 Und da es das fünfte Siegel auftat, sah ich unter dem Altar die Seelen derer, die erwürgt waren um des Wortes Gottes willen und um des Zeugnisses willen, das sie hatten.(dhs) Rev 6:9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:10 ============ Rev 6:10 and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"(nas) Rev 6:10 καὶ ἔκραξαν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ λέγοντες, ἕως πότε, ὁ δεσπότης ὁ ἅγιος καὶ ἀληθινός, οὐ κρίνεις καὶ ἐκδικεῖς τὸ αἷμα ἡμῶν ἐκ τῶν κατοικούντων ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς; (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:10 et clamabant voce magna, dicentes: Usquequo Domine (sanctus et verus), non judicas, et non vindicas sanguinem nostrum de iis qui habitant in terra?(vulgate) וְהֵם צֹעֲקִים בְּקוֹל גָּדוֹל עַד־מָתַי אֲדֹנָי אֵל קָדוֹשׁ אֵל אֱמֶת עַד־מָתַי לֹא־תָבֹא בַמִּשְׁפָּט וְלֹא־תִקֹּם דָּמֵנוּ הַשָּׁפוּךְ מִיּשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ׃ י Revelation Rev 6:10 Und sie schrieen mit großer Stimme und sprachen: HERR, du Heiliger und Wahrhaftiger, wie lange richtest du nicht und rächest unser Blut an denen, die auf der Erde wohnen?(dhs) Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:11 ============ Rev 6:11 And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also.(nas) Rev 6:11 καὶ ἐδόθη αὐτοῖς ἑκάστῳ στολὴ λευκή, καὶ ἐρρέθη αὐτοῖς ἵνα ἀναπαύσονται ἔτι χρόνον μικρόν, ἕως πληρωθῶσιν καὶ οἱ σύνδουλοι αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν οἱ μέλλοντες ἀποκτέννεσθαι ὡς καὶ αὐτοί. (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:11 Et datæ sunt illis singulæ stolæ albæ: et dictum est illis ut requiescerent adhuc tempus modicum donec compleantur conservi eorum, et fratres eorum, qui interficiendi sunt sicut et illi.(vulgate) וַיִּנָּתֵן־לָהֶם מַחֲלָצוֹת לְבָנוֹת לֵאמֹר כִּי עֲלֵיהֶם לְהוֹחִיל עוֹד מְעָט עַד אֲשֶׁר שָׁלֵם יִהְיֶה מִסְפַּר חַבְרֵיהֶם וַאֲחֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר יִשָּׁפֵךְ דָּמָם כְּמוֹהֶם׃ יא Revelation Rev 6:11 Und ihnen wurde gegeben einem jeglichen ein weißes Kleid, und ward zu ihnen gesagt, daß sie ruhten noch eine kleine Zeit, bis daß vollends dazukämen ihre Mitknechte und Brüder, die auch sollten noch getötet werden gleich wie sie.(dhs) Rev 6:11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:12 ============ Rev 6:12 I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;(nas) Rev 6:12 καὶ εἶδον ὅτε ἤνοιξεν τὴν σφραγῖδα τὴν ἕκτην, καὶ σεισμὸς μέγας ἐγένετο, καὶ ὁ ἥλιος ἐγένετο μέλας ὡς σάκκος τρίχινος, καὶ ἡ σελήνη ὅλη ἐγένετο ὡς αἷμα, (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:12 Et vidi cum aperuisset sigillum sextum: et ecce terræmotus magnus factus est, et sol factus est niger tamquam saccus cilicinus: et luna tota facta est sicut sanguis:(vulgate) וּכְפִתְחוֹ אֶת־הַחוֹתָם הַשִּׁשִּׁי וָאֵרֶא וְהִנֵּה זְוָעָה גְדֹלָה הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ לָבְשָׁה קַדְרוּת כְּאַדֶּרֶת שֵׂעָר וְהַיָּרֵחַ נֶהְפַּךְ לְדָם׃ יב Revelation Rev 6:12 Und ich sah, daß es das sechste Siegel auftat, und siehe, da ward ein großes Erdbeben, und die Sonne ward schwarz wie ein härener Sack, und der Mond ward wie Blut;(dhs) Rev 6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:13 ============ Rev 6:13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.(nas) Rev 6:13 καὶ οἱ ἀστέρες τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἔπεσαν εἰς τὴν γῆν, ὡς συκῆ βάλλει τοὺς ὀλύνθους αὐτῆς ὑπὸ ἀνέμου μεγάλου σειομένη, (Nestle-Aland) Rev 6:13 et stellæ de cælo ceciderunt super terram, sicut ficus emittit grossos suos cum a vento magno movetur:(vulgate) וְכוֹכְבֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם נָפְלוּ אָרְצָה כִּתְאֵנָה בְשַׁלֶּכֶת פַּגֶּיהָ מִפְּנֵי רוּחַ סְעָרָה׃ יג Revelation Rev 6:13 und die Sterne des Himmels fielen auf die Erde, gleichwie ein Feigenbaum seine Feigen abwirft, wenn er von großem Wind bewegt wird.(dhs) Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.(nkjv) ======= Revelation 6:14 ============ Rev 6:14 The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.(nas) Rev 6:14 καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς ἀπεχωρίσθη ὡς βιβλίον ἑλισσόμενον, καὶ πᾶν ὄρος καὶ νῆσος ἐκ τῶν τόπων αὐτῶν ἐκινήθησαν.
