So she went to inquire of the Lord.(nas) Gen 25:22 ἐσκίρτων δὲ τὰ παιδία ἐν αὐτῇ εἶπεν δέ εἰ οὕτως μοι μέλλει γίνεσθαι ἵνα τί μοι τοῦτο ἐπορεύθη δὲ πυθέσθαι παρὰ κυρίου (lxx) Gen 25:22 Sed collidebantur in utero ejus parvuli; quæ ait: Si sic mihi futurum erat, quid necesse fuit concipere? perrexitque ut consuleret Dominum.(vulgate) Genesis 25:22 But the children stroue together within her: therefore shee sayde, Seeing it is so, why am I thus? wherefore she went to aske the Lord.(Geneva) Gen 25:22 Und die Kinder stießen sich miteinander in ihrem Leibe. Juravit ei Esau et vendidit primogenita.(vulgate) Genesis 25:33 Iaakob then said, Sweare to me euen now; he sware to him, and solde his birthright vnto Iaakob.(Geneva) Gen 25:33 Jakob sprach: So schwöre mir heute. Thus Esau despised his birthright. (nas) Gen 25:34 Ιακωβ δὲ ἔδωκεν τῷ Ησαυ ἄρτον καὶ ἕψεμα φακοῦ καὶ ἔφαγεν καὶ ἔπιεν καὶ ἀναστὰς ᾤχετο καὶ ἐφαύλισεν Ησαυ τὰ πρωτοτόκια (lxx) Gen 25:34 Et sic, accepto pane et lentis edulio, comedit et bibit, et abiit, parvipendens quod primogenita vendidisset.(vulgate) Genesis 25:34 Then Iaakob gaue Esau bread and pottage of lentiles: and he did eate and drinke, and rose vp, and went his way: So Esau contemned his birthright.(Geneva) Gen 25:34 Da gab ihm Jakob Brot und das Linsengericht, und er aß und trank und stand auf und ging davon. So Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines.(nas) Gen 26:1 ἐγένετο δὲ λιμὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς χωρὶς τοῦ λιμοῦ τοῦ πρότερον ὃς ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ χρόνῳ τῷ Αβρααμ ἐπορεύθη δὲ Ισαακ πρὸς Αβιμελεχ βασιλέα Φυλιστιιμ εἰς Γεραρα (lxx) Gen 26:1 Orta autem fame super terram post eam sterilitatem, quæ acciderat in diebus Abraham, abiit Isaac ad Abimelech regem Palæstinorum in Gerara.(vulgate) Genesis 26:1 And there was a famine in the lande besides the first famine that was in the dayes of Abraham.
