I do not know the day of my death.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 27:3 ============ Gen 27:3 Now then, please take your gear, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me;(nas) Gen 27:3 νῦν οὖν λαβὲ τὸ σκεῦός σου τήν τε φαρέτραν καὶ τὸ τόξον καὶ ἔξελθε εἰς τὸ πεδίον καὶ θήρευσόν μοι θήραν (lxx) Gen 27:3 Sume arma tua, pharetram, et arcum, et egredere foras: cumque venatu aliquid apprehenderis,(vulgate) Genesis 27:3 Wherefore nowe, I pray thee take thine instrumentes, thy quiuer and thy bowe, and get thee to the fielde, that thou mayest take mee some venison.(Geneva) Gen 27:3 So nimm nun dein Geräte, Köcher und Bogen, und geh aufs Feld und fange mir ein Wildbret(dhs) Gen 27:3 Now therefore, please take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 27:4 ============ Gen 27:4 and prepare a savory dish for me such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, so that my soul may bless you before I die."(nas) Gen 27:4 καὶ ποίησόν μοι ἐδέσματα ὡς φιλῶ ἐγώ καὶ ἔνεγκέ μοι ἵνα φάγω ὅπως εὐλογήσῃ σε ἡ ψυχή μου πρὶν ἀποθανεῖν με (lxx) Gen 27:4 fac mihi inde pulmentum sicut velle me nosti, et affer ut comedam: et benedicat tibi anima mea antequam moriar.(vulgate) Genesis 27:4 Then make mee sauourie meate, such as I loue, and bring it me that I may eat, and that my soule may blesse thee, before I die.(Geneva) Gen 27:4 und mache mir ein Essen, wie ich's gern habe, und bringe mir's herein, daß ich esse, daß dich meine Seele segne, ehe ich sterbe.(dhs) Gen 27:4 And make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, that my soul may bless you before I die."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 27:5 ============ Gen 27:5 Rebekah was listening while Isaac spoke to his son Esau. So when Esau went to the field to hunt for game to bring home,(nas) Gen 27:5 Ρεβεκκα δὲ ἤκουσεν λαλοῦντος Ισαακ πρὸς Ησαυ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἐπορεύθη δὲ Ησαυ εἰς τὸ πεδίον θηρεῦσαι θήραν τῷ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Gen 27:5 Quod cum audisset Rebecca, et ille abiisset in agrum ut jussionem patris impleret,(vulgate) Genesis 27:5 (Nowe Rebekah heard, when Izhak spake to Esau his sonne) and Esau went into the fielde to hunt for venison, and to bring it.(Geneva) Gen 27:5 Rebekka aber hörte solche Worte, die Isaak zu seinem Sohn Esau sagte. patrem tuum loquentem cum Esau fratre tuo, et dicentem ei:(vulgate) Genesis 27:6 Then Rebekah spake vnto Iaakob her sonne, saying, Beholde, I haue heard thy father talking with Esau thy brother, "Indeed I heard your father speak to Esau your brother, saying,(nkjv) ======= Genesis 27:7 ============ Gen 27:7 'Bring me some game and prepare a savory dish for me, that I may eat, and bless you in the presence of the Lord before my death.'(nas) Gen 27:7 ἔνεγκόν μοι θήραν καὶ ποίησόν μοι ἐδέσματα καὶ φαγὼν εὐλογήσω σε ἐναντίον κυρίου πρὸ τοῦ ἀποθανεῖν με (lxx) Gen 27:7 Affer mihi de venatione tua, et fac cibos ut comedam, et benedicam tibi coram Domino antequam moriar.(vulgate) Genesis 27:7 Bring mee venision, and make mee sauourie meate, that I may eate and blesse thee before the Lord, ============ Gen 27:9 Go now to the flock and bring me two choice young goats from there, that I may prepare them as a savory dish for your father, such as he loves.(nas) Gen 27:9 καὶ πορευθεὶς εἰς τὰ πρόβατα λαβέ μοι ἐκεῖθεν δύο ἐρίφους ἁπαλοὺς καὶ καλούς καὶ ποιήσω αὐτοὺς ἐδέσματα τῷ πατρί σου ὡς φιλεῖ (lxx) Gen 27:9 et pergens ad gregem, affer mihi duos hædos optimos, ut faciam ex eis escas patri tuo, quibus libenter vescitur:(vulgate) Genesis 27:9 Get thee nowe to the flocke, and bring me thence two good kids of the goates, that I may make pleasant meate of them for thy father, such as Gen 27:12 Perhaps my father will feel me, then I will be as a deceiver in his sight, and I will bring upon myself a curse and not a blessing."(nas) Gen 27:12 μήποτε ψηλαφήσῃ με ὁ πατήρ μου καὶ ἔσομαι ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ ὡς καταφρονῶν καὶ ἐπάξω ἐπ᾽ ἐμαυτὸν κατάραν καὶ οὐκ εὐλογίαν (lxx) Gen 27:12 si attrectaverit me pater meus, et senserit, timeo ne putet me sibi voluisse illudere, et inducam super me maledictionem pro benedictione.(vulgate) Genesis 27:12 My father may possibly feele me, and I shal seem to him to be a mocker: so shall I bring a curse vpon me, and not a blessing.(Geneva) Gen 27:12 27:13 Ad quem mater: In me sit, ait, ista maledictio, fili mi: tantum audi vocem meam, et pergens, affer quæ dixi.(vulgate) Genesis 27:13 But his mother sayd vnto him, vpon me be thy curse, my sonne: Qui respondit: Voluntas Dei fuit ut cito occurreret mihi quod volebam.(vulgate) Genesis 27:20 Then Izhak said vnto his sonne, Howe hast thou founde it so quickly my sonne? And he said, "Because the Lord your God brought it to me."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 27:21 ============ Gen 27:21 Then Isaac said to Jacob, "Please come close, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not."(nas) Gen 27:21 εἶπεν δὲ Ισαακ τῷ Ιακωβ ἔγγισόν μοι καὶ ψηλαφήσω σε τέκνον εἰ σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱός μου Ησαυ ἢ οὔ (lxx) Gen 27:21 Dixitque Isaac: Accede huc, ut tangam te, fili mi, et probem utrum tu sis filius meus Esau, an non.(vulgate) Genesis 27:21 Againe sayde Izhak vnto Iaakob, Come neere nowe, that I may feele thee, my sonne, whether thou be that my sonne Esau or not.(Geneva) Gen 27:21 Da sprach Isaak zu Jakob: Tritt herzu, mein Sohn, daß ich dich betaste, ob du mein Sohn Esau seiest oder nicht.(dhs) Gen 27:21 Then Isaac said to Jacob, "Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 27:22 ============ Gen 27:22 So Jacob came close to Isaac his father, and he felt him and said, "The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau."(nas) Gen 27:22 ἤγγισεν δὲ Ιακωβ πρὸς Ισαακ τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐψηλάφησεν αὐτὸν καὶ εἶπεν ἡ μὲν φωνὴ φωνὴ Ιακωβ αἱ δὲ χεῖρες χεῖρες Ησαυ (lxx) Gen 27:22 Accessit ille ad patrem, et palpato eo, dixit Isaac: Vox quidem, vox Jacob est: sed manus, manus sunt Esau.(vulgate) Genesis 27:22 Then Iaakob came neere to Izhak his father, and he felt him and sayd, The voyce is Iaakobs voyce, but the hands are the hands of Esau.(Geneva) Gen 27:22 Also trat Jakob zu seinem Vater Isaak; und da er ihn betastet hatte, sprach er: Die Stimme ist Jakobs Stimme, aber die Hände sind Esaus Hände.(dhs) Gen 27:22 So Jacob went near to Isaac his father, and he felt him and said, "The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 27:23 ============ Gen 27:23 He did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau's hands; so he blessed him.(nas) Gen 27:23 καὶ οὐκ ἐπέγνω αὐτόν ἦσαν γὰρ αἱ χεῖρες αὐτοῦ ὡς αἱ χεῖρες Ησαυ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ δασεῖαι καὶ ηὐλόγησεν αὐτόν (lxx) Gen 27:23 Et non cognovit eum, quia pilosæ manus similitudinem majoris expresserant. Benedicens ergo illi,(vulgate) Genesis 27:23 (For he knewe him not, because his hands were rough as his brother Esaus hands: wherefore he blessed him)(Geneva) Gen 27:23 Und er kannte ihn nicht; denn seine Hände waren rauh wie Esaus, seines Bruders, Hände.
