Therefore she named him Dan.(nas) Gen 30:6 καὶ εἶπεν Ραχηλ ἔκρινέν μοι ὁ θεὸς καὶ ἐπήκουσεν τῆς φωνῆς μου καὶ ἔδωκέν μοι υἱόν διὰ τοῦτο ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Δαν (lxx) Gen 30:6 Dixitque Rachel: Judicavit mihi Dominus, et exaudivit vocem meam, dans mihi filium, et idcirco appellavit nomen ejus Dan.(vulgate) Genesis 30:6 Then said Rahel, God hath giuen sentence on my side, and hath also heard my voyce, and hath giuen mee a sonne: therefore called shee his name, Dan.(Geneva) Gen 30:6 Da sprach Rahel: Gott hat meine Sache gerichtet und meine Stimme erhört und mir einen Sohn gegeben. And she named him Naphtali.(nas) Gen 30:8 καὶ εἶπεν Ραχηλ συνελάβετό μοι ὁ θεός καὶ συνανεστράφην τῇ ἀδελφῇ μου καὶ ἠδυνάσθην καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Νεφθαλι (lxx) Gen 30:8 pro quo ait Rachel: Comparavit me Deus cum sorore mea, et invalui: vocavitque eum Nephthali.(vulgate) Genesis 30:8 Then Rahel said, with excellent wrestlings haue I wrestled with my sister, & haue gotten the vpper hande: and shee called his name, Naphtali.(Geneva) Gen 30:8 Da sprach Rahel: Gott hat es gewandt mit mir und meiner Schwester, und ich werde es ihr zuvortun. Und hieß ihn Naphthali.(dhs) Gen 30:8 Then Rachel said, "With great wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister, and indeed I have prevailed." For women will call me happy." So she named him Asher.(nas) Gen 30:13 καὶ εἶπεν Λεια μακαρία ἐγώ ὅτι μακαρίζουσίν με αἱ γυναῖκες καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ασηρ (lxx) Gen 30:13 Dixitque Lia: Hoc pro beatitudine mea: beatam quippe me dicent mulieres: propterea appellavit eum Aser.(vulgate) Genesis 30:13 Then sayde Leah, Ah, blessed am I, for the daughters will blesse me; she called his name, Asher.(Geneva) Gen 30:13 Da sprach Lea: Wohl mir! denn mich werden selig preisen die Töchter. Und hieß ihn Asser.(dhs) Gen 30:13 Then Leah said, "I am happy, for the daughters will call me blessed." So she called his name Asher.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:14 ============ Gen 30:14 Now in the days of wheat harvest Reuben went and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, "Please give me some of your son's mandrakes."(nas) Gen 30:14 ἐπορεύθη δὲ Ρουβην ἐν ἡμέραις θερισμοῦ πυρῶν καὶ εὗρεν μῆλα μανδραγόρου ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ καὶ ἤνεγκεν αὐτὰ πρὸς Λειαν τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ εἶπεν δὲ Ραχηλ τῇ Λεια δός μοι τῶν μανδραγορῶν τοῦ υἱοῦ σου (lxx) Gen 30:14 Egressus autem Ruben tempore messis triticeæ in agrum, reperit mandragoras, quas matri Liæ detulit. Dixitque Rachel: Da mihi partem de mandragoris filii tui.(vulgate) Genesis 30:14 Nowe Reuben went in the dayes of the wheateharuest, and founde mandrakes in the fielde and brought them vnto his mother Leah. Then sayde Rahel to Leah, Giue me, I pray thee, of thy sonnes mandrakes.(Geneva) Gen 30:14 Ruben ging aus zur Zeit der Weizenernte und fand Liebesäpfel auf dem Felde und brachte sie heim seiner Mutter Lea. Da sprach Rahel zu Lea: Gib mir von den Liebesäpfeln deines Sohnes einen Teil.(dhs) Gen 30:14 Now Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, "Please give me some of your son's mandrakes."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:15 ============ Gen 30:15 But she said to her, "Is it a small matter for you to take my husband? And would you take my son's mandrakes also?" So Rachel said, "Therefore he may lie with you tonight in return for your son's mandrakes."(nas) Gen 30:15 εἶπεν δὲ Λεια οὐχ ἱκανόν σοι ὅτι ἔλαβες τὸν ἄνδρα μου μὴ καὶ τοὺς μανδραγόρας τοῦ υἱοῦ μου λήμψῃ εἶπεν δὲ Ραχηλ οὐχ οὕτως κοιμηθήτω μετὰ σοῦ τὴν νύκτα ταύτην ἀντὶ τῶν μανδραγορῶν τοῦ υἱοῦ σου (lxx) Gen 30:15 Illa respondit: Parumne tibi videtur quod præripueris maritum mihi, nisi etiam mandragoras filii mei tuleris? Ait Rachel: Dormiat tecum hac nocte pro mandragoris filii tui.(vulgate) Genesis 30:15 But shee answered her, Is it a small matter for thee to take mine husband, except thou take my sonnes mandrakes also? Then sayde Rahel, Therefore he shall sleepe with thee this night for thy sonnes mandrakes.(Geneva) Gen 30:15 Sie antwortete: Hast du nicht genug, daß du mir meinen Mann genommen hast, und willst auch die Liebesäpfel meines Sohnes nehmen? Rahel sprach: Wohlan, laß ihn diese Nacht bei dir schlafen um die Liebesäpfel deines Sohnes.(dhs) Gen 30:15 But she said to her, "Is it a small matter that you have taken away my husband? Would you take away my son's mandrakes also?" And Rachel said, "Therefore he will lie with you tonight for your son's mandrakes."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:16 ============ Gen 30:16 When Jacob came in from the field in the evening, then Leah went out to meet him and said, "You must come in to me, for I have surely hired you with my son's mandrakes." So she named him Issachar.(nas) Gen 30:18 καὶ εἶπεν Λεια ἔδωκεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν μισθόν μου ἀνθ᾽ οὗ ἔδωκα τὴν παιδίσκην μου τῷ ἀνδρί μου καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ισσαχαρ ὅ ἐστιν Μισθός (lxx) Gen 30:18 et ait: Dedit Deus mercedem mihi, quia dedi ancillam meam viro meo: appellavitque nomen ejus Issachar.(vulgate) Genesis 30:18 Then said Leah, God hath giuen me my reward, because I gaue my mayde to my husband, and she called his name Issachar.(Geneva) Gen 30:18 und sprach Gott hat mir gelohnt, daß ich meine Magd meinem Manne gegeben habe. Und hieß ihn Isaschar.(dhs) Gen 30:18 Leah said, "God has given me my wages, because I have given my maid to my husband." So she called his name Issachar.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:19 ============ Gen 30:19 Leah conceived again and bore a sixth son to Jacob.(nas) Gen 30:19 καὶ συνέλαβεν ἔτι Λεια καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱὸν ἕκτον τῷ Ιακωβ (lxx) Gen 30:19 Rursum Lia concipiens, peperit sextum filium,(vulgate) Genesis 30:19 After, Leah conceiued againe, & bare Iaakob the sixt sonne.(Geneva) Gen 30:19 Abermals ward Lea schwanger und gebar Jakob den sechsten Sohn,(dhs) Gen 30:19 Then Leah conceived again and bore Jacob a sixth son.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:20 ============ Gen 30:20 Then Leah said, "God has endowed me with a good gift; now my husband will dwell with me, because I have borne him six sons." So she named him Zebulun.(nas) Gen 30:20 καὶ εἶπεν Λεια δεδώρηταί μοι ὁ θεὸς δῶρον καλόν ἐν τῷ νῦν καιρῷ αἱρετιεῖ με ὁ ἀνήρ μου ἔτεκον γὰρ αὐτῷ υἱοὺς ἕξ καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ζαβουλων (lxx) Gen 30:20 et ait: Dotavit me Deus dote bona: etiam hac vice mecum erit maritus meus, eo quod genuerim ei sex filios: et idcirco appellavit nomen ejus Zabulon.(vulgate) Genesis 30:20 Then Leah said, God hath endued me with a good dowrie: nowe will mine husbande dwell with me, because I haue borne him sixe sonnes: & she called his name Zebulun.(Geneva) Gen 30:20 und sprach: Gott hat mich wohl beraten; nun wird mein Mann doch bei mir wohnen, denn ich habe ihm sechs Söhne geboren. Und hieß ihn Sebulon.(dhs) Gen 30:20 And Leah said, "God has endowed me with a good endowment; now my husband will dwell with me, because I have borne him six sons." So she called his name Zebulun.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:21 ============ Gen 30:21 Afterward she bore a daughter and named her Dinah.(nas) Gen 30:21 καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο ἔτεκεν θυγατέρα καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς Δινα (lxx) Gen 30:21 Post quem peperit filiam, nomine Dinam.(vulgate) Genesis 30:21 After that, shee bare a daughter, and shee called her name Dinah.(Geneva) Gen 30:21 Darnach gebar sie eine Tochter, die hieß sie Dina.(dhs) Gen 30:21 Afterward she bore a daughter, and called her name Dinah.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:22 ============ Gen 30:22 Then God remembered Rachel, and God gave heed to her and opened her womb.(nas) Gen 30:22 ἐμνήσθη δὲ ὁ θεὸς τῆς Ραχηλ καὶ ἐπήκουσεν αὐτῆς ὁ θεὸς καὶ ἀνέῳξεν αὐτῆς τὴν μήτραν (lxx) Gen 30:22 Recordatus quoque Dominus Rachelis, exaudivit eam, et aperuit vulvam ejus.(vulgate) Genesis 30:22 And God remembred Rahel, and God heard her, and opened her wombe.(Geneva) Gen 30:22 Gott gedachte aber an Rahel und erhörte sie und machte sie fruchtbar.(dhs) Gen 30:22 Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:23 ============ Gen 30:23 So she conceived and bore a son and said, "God has taken away my reproach."(nas) Gen 30:23 καὶ συλλαβοῦσα ἔτεκεν τῷ Ιακωβ υἱόν εἶπεν δὲ Ραχηλ ἀφεῖλεν ὁ θεός μου τὸ ὄνειδος (lxx) Gen 30:23 Quæ concepit, et peperit filium, dicens: Abstulit Deus opprobrium meum.(vulgate) Genesis 30:23 So she conceiued & bare a sonne, and said, God hath taken away my rebuke.(Geneva) Gen 30:23 Da ward sie schwanger und gebar einen Sohn und sprach: Gott hat meine Schmach von mir genommen.(dhs) Gen 30:23 And she conceived and bore a son, and said, "God has taken away my reproach."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:24 ============ Gen 30:24 She named him Joseph, saying, "May the Lord give me another son." Ich spüre, daß mich der HERR segnet um deinetwillen;(dhs) Gen 30:27 And Laban said to him, "Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:28 ============ Gen 30:28 He continued, "Name me your wages, and I will give it."(nas) Gen 30:28 διάστειλον τὸν μισθόν σου πρός με καὶ δώσω (lxx) Gen 30:28 constitue mercedem tuam quam dem tibi.(vulgate) Genesis 30:28 Also he said, Appoynt vnto me thy wages, and I will giue it thee.(Geneva) Gen 30:28 bestimme den Lohn, den ich dir geben soll.(dhs) Gen 30:28 Then he said, "Name me your wages, and I will give it."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:29 ============ Gen 30:29 But he said to him, "You yourself know how I have served you and how your cattle have fared with me.(nas) Gen 30:29 εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ Ιακωβ σὺ γινώσκεις ἃ δεδούλευκά σοι καὶ ὅσα ἦν κτήνη σου μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ (lxx) Gen 30:29 At ille respondit: Tu nosti quomodo servierim tibi, et quanta in manibus meis fuerit possessio tua.(vulgate) Genesis 30:29 But he sayd vnto him, Thou knowest, what seruice I haue done thee, and in what taking thy cattell hath bene vnder me.(Geneva) Gen 30:29 Er aber sprach zu ihm: Du weißt, wie ich dir gedient habe und was du für Vieh hast unter mir.(dhs) Gen 30:29 So Jacob said to him, "You know how I have served you and how your livestock has been with me.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:30 ============ Gen 30:30 For you had little before I came and it has increased to a multitude, and the Lord has blessed you wherever I turned. But now, when shall I provide for my own household also?"(nas) Gen 30:30 μικρὰ γὰρ ἦν ὅσα σοι ἦν ἐναντίον ἐμοῦ καὶ ηὐξήθη εἰς πλῆθος καὶ ηὐλόγησέν σε κύριος ἐπὶ τῷ ποδί μου νῦν οὖν πότε ποιήσω κἀγὼ ἐμαυτῷ οἶκον (lxx) Gen 30:30 Modicum habuisti antequam venirem ad te, et nunc dives effectus es: benedixitque tibi Dominus ad introitum meum. Justum est igitur ut aliquando provideam etiam domui meæ.(vulgate) Genesis 30:30 For the litle, that thou haddest before I came, is increased into a multitude: and the Lorde hath blessed thee by my coming: but nowe when shall I trauell for mine owne house also?(Geneva) Gen 30:30 Du hattest wenig, ehe ich her kam, nun aber ist's ausgebreitet in die Menge, und der HERR hat dich gesegnet durch meinen Fuß. Und nun, wann soll ich auch mein Haus versorgen?(dhs) Gen 30:30 For what you had before I came was little, and it has increased to a great amount; the Lord has blessed you since my coming. At ille ait: Nihil volo: sed si feceris quod postulo, iterum pascam, et custodiam pecora tua.(vulgate) Genesis 30:31 Then he saide, What shal I giue thee? And Iaakob answered, Thou shalt giue mee nothing at all: if thou wilt doe this thing for mee, I will returne, feede, and keepe thy sheepe.(Geneva) Gen 30:31 Er aber sprach: Was soll ich dir denn geben? Jakob sprach: Du sollst mir nichts geben; sondern so du mir tun willst, was ich sage, so will ich wiederum weiden und hüten deine Schafe.(dhs) Gen 30:31 So he said, "What shall I give you?" If you will do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep your flocks:(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:32 ============ Gen 30:32 let me pass through your entire flock today, removing from there every speckled and spotted sheep and every black one among the lambs and the spotted and speckled among the goats; and such shall be my wages.(nas) Gen 30:32 παρελθάτω πάντα τὰ πρόβατά σου σήμερον καὶ διαχώρισον ἐκεῖθεν πᾶν πρόβατον φαιὸν ἐν τοῖς ἀρνάσιν καὶ πᾶν διάλευκον καὶ ῥαντὸν ἐν ταῖς αἰξίν ἔσται μοι μισθός (lxx) Gen 30:32 Gyra omnes greges tuos, et separa cunctas oves varias, et sparso vellere; quodcumque furvum, et maculosum, variumque fuerit, tam in ovibus quam in capris, erit merces mea.(vulgate) Genesis 30:32 I wil passe through all thy flockes this day, and separate from them all the sheepe with litle spots & great spots, and al blacke lambes among the sheepe, and the great spotted, and litle spotted among the goates: and it shalbe my wages.(Geneva) Gen 30:32 Ich will heute durch alle deine Herden gehen und aussondern alle gefleckten und bunten Schafe und alle schwarzen Schafe und die bunten und gefleckten Ziegen. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats and black among the lambs, if found with me, will be considered stolen."(nas) Gen 30:33 καὶ ἐπακούσεταί μοι ἡ δικαιοσύνη μου ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ αὔριον ὅτι ἐστὶν ὁ μισθός μου ἐνώπιόν σου πᾶν ὃ ἐὰν μὴ ᾖ ῥαντὸν καὶ διάλευκον ἐν ταῖς αἰξὶν καὶ φαιὸν ἐν τοῖς ἀρνάσιν κεκλεμμένον ἔσται παρ᾽ ἐμοί (lxx) Gen 30:33 Respondebitque mihi cras justitia mea, quando placiti tempus advenerit coram te: et omnia quæ non fuerint varia, et maculosa, et furva, tam in ovibus quam in capris, furti me arguent.(vulgate) Genesis 30:33 So shal my righteousnesse answere for me hereafter, when it shall come for my rewarde before thy face, and euery one that hath not litle or great spots among the goates, and blacke among the sheepe, the same shalbe theft with me.(Geneva) Gen 30:33 So wird meine Gerechtigkeit zeugen heute oder morgen, wenn es kommt, daß ich meinen Lohn von dir nehmen soll; also daß, was nicht gefleckt oder bunt unter den Ziegen und nicht schwarz sein wird unter den Lämmern, das sei ein Diebstahl bei mir.(dhs) Gen 30:33 So my righteousness will answer for me in time to come, when the subject of my wages comes before you: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the lambs, will be considered stolen, if it is with me."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:34 ============ Gen 30:34 Laban said, "Good, let it be according to your word."(nas) Gen 30:34 εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ Λαβαν ἔστω κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμά σου (lxx) Gen 30:34 Dixitque Laban: Gratum habeo quod petis.(vulgate) Genesis 30:34 Then Laban sayde, Goe to, woulde God it might be according to thy saying.(Geneva) Gen 30:34 Da sprach Laban: Siehe da, es sei, wie du gesagt hast.(dhs) Gen 30:34 And Laban said, "Oh, that it were according to your word!"(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:35 ============ Gen 30:35 So he removed on that day the striped and spotted male goats and all the speckled and spotted female goats, every one with white in it, and all the black ones among the sheep, and gave them into the care of his sons.(nas) Gen 30:35 καὶ διέστειλεν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ τοὺς τράγους τοὺς ῥαντοὺς καὶ τοὺς διαλεύκους καὶ πάσας τὰς αἶγας τὰς ῥαντὰς καὶ τὰς διαλεύκους καὶ πᾶν ὃ ἦν λευκὸν ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ πᾶν ὃ ἦν φαιὸν ἐν τοῖς ἀρνάσιν καὶ ἔδωκεν διὰ χειρὸς τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Gen 30:35 Et separavit in die illa capras, et oves, et hircos, et arietes varios, atque maculosos: cunctum autem gregem unicolorem, id est albi et nigri velleris, tradidit in manu filiorum suorum.(vulgate) Genesis 30:35 Therefore he tooke out the same day the hee goates that were partie coloured and with great spots, and all the shee goates with litle and great spots, and all that had white in them, and all the blacke among the sheepe, and put them in the keeping of his sonnes.(Geneva) Gen 30:35 Und sonderte des Tages die sprenkligen und bunten Böcke und alle gefleckten und bunten Ziegen, wo nur was Weißes daran war, und alles, was schwarz war unter den Lämmern, und tat's unter die Hand seiner Kinder(dhs) Gen 30:35 So he removed that day the male goats that were speckled and spotted, all the female goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had some white in it, and all the brown ones among the lambs, and gave them into the hand of his sons.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:36 ============ Gen 30:36 And he put a distance of three days' journey between himself and Jacob, and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.(nas) Gen 30:36 καὶ ἀπέστησεν ὁδὸν τριῶν ἡμερῶν ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Ιακωβ Ιακωβ δὲ ἐποίμαινεν τὰ πρόβατα Λαβαν τὰ ὑπολειφθέντα (lxx) Gen 30:36 Et posuit spatium itineris trium dierum inter se et generum, qui pascebat reliquos greges ejus.(vulgate) Genesis 30:36 And hee set three dayes iourney betweene himselfe and Iaakob; Iaakob kept the rest of Labans sheepe.(Geneva) Gen 30:36 und machte Raum drei Tagereisen weit zwischen sich und Jakob. Also weidete Jakob die übrigen Herden Labans.(dhs) Gen 30:36 Then he put three days' journey between himself and Jacob, and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:37 ============ Gen 30:37 Then Jacob took fresh rods of poplar and almond and plane trees, and peeled white stripes in them, exposing the white which was in the rods.(nas) Gen 30:37 ἔλαβεν δὲ ἑαυτῷ Ιακωβ ῥάβδον στυρακίνην χλωρὰν καὶ καρυίνην καὶ πλατάνου καὶ ἐλέπισεν αὐτὰς Ιακωβ λεπίσματα λευκὰ περισύρων τὸ χλωρόν ἐφαίνετο δὲ ἐπὶ ταῖς ῥάβδοις τὸ λευκόν ὃ ἐλέπισεν ποικίλον (lxx) Gen 30:37 Tollens ergo Jacob virgas populeas virides, et amygdalinas, et ex platanis, ex parte decorticavit eas: detractisque corticibus, in his, quæ spoliata fuerant, candor apparuit: illa vero quæ integra fuerant, viridia permanserunt: atque in hunc modum color effectus est varius.(vulgate) Genesis 30:37 Then Iaakob tooke rods of greene popular, and of hasell, and of the chesnut tree, and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appeare in the rods.(Geneva) Gen 30:37 Jakob aber nahm Stäbe von grünen Pappelbäumen, Haseln und Kastanien und schälte weiße Streifen daran, daß an den Stäben das Weiß bloß ward,(dhs) Gen 30:37 Now Jacob took for himself rods of green poplar and of the almond and chestnut trees, peeled white strips in them, and exposed the white which was in the rods.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:38 ============ Gen 30:38 He set the rods which he had peeled in front of the flocks in the gutters, even in the watering troughs, where the flocks came to drink; and they mated when they came to drink.(nas) Gen 30:38 καὶ παρέθηκεν τὰς ῥάβδους ἃς ἐλέπισεν ἐν ταῖς ληνοῖς τῶν ποτιστηρίων τοῦ ὕδατος ἵνα ὡς ἂν ἔλθωσιν τὰ πρόβατα πιεῖν ἐνώπιον τῶν ῥάβδων ἐλθόντων αὐτῶν εἰς τὸ πιεῖν (lxx) Gen 30:38 Posuitque eas in canalibus, ubi effundebatur aqua: ut cum venissent greges ad bibendum, ante oculos haberent virgas, et in aspectu earum conciperent.(vulgate) Genesis 30:38 Then he put the rods, which he had pilled, in the gutters and watering troughes, when the sheepe came to drink, before the sheepe. (for they were in heate, when they came to drinke)(Geneva) Gen 30:38 und legte die Stäbe, die er geschält hatte, in die Tränkrinnen vor die Herden, die kommen mußten, zu trinken, daß sie da empfangen sollten, wenn sie zu trinken kämen.(dhs) Gen 30:38 And the rods which he had peeled, he set before the flocks in the gutters, in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink, so that they should conceive when they came to drink.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:39 ============ Gen 30:39 So the flocks mated by the rods, and the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted.(nas) Gen 30:39 ἐγκισσήσωσιν τὰ πρόβατα εἰς τὰς ῥάβδους καὶ ἔτικτον τὰ πρόβατα διάλευκα καὶ ποικίλα καὶ σποδοειδῆ ῥαντά (lxx) Gen 30:39 Factumque est ut in ipso calore coitus, oves intuerentur virgas, et parerent maculosa, et varia, et diverso colore respersa.(vulgate) Genesis 30:39 And the sheepe were in heate before the rods, and afterward brought forth yong of partie colour, and with small and great spots.(Geneva) Gen 30:39 Also empfingen die Herden über den Stäben und brachten Sprenklinge, Gefleckte und Bunte.(dhs) Gen 30:39 So the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks brought forth streaked, speckled, and spotted.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:40 ============ Gen 30:40 Jacob separated the lambs, and made the flocks face toward the striped and all the black in the flock of Laban; and he put his own herds apart, and did not put them with Laban's flock.(nas) Gen 30:40 τοὺς δὲ ἀμνοὺς διέστειλεν Ιακωβ καὶ ἔστησεν ἐναντίον τῶν προβάτων κριὸν διάλευκον καὶ πᾶν ποικίλον ἐν τοῖς ἀμνοῖς καὶ διεχώρισεν ἑαυτῷ ποίμνια καθ᾽ ἑαυτὸν καὶ οὐκ ἔμιξεν αὐτὰ εἰς τὰ πρόβατα Λαβαν (lxx) Gen 30:40 Divisitque gregem Jacob, et posuit virgas in canalibus ante oculos arietum: erant autem alba et nigra quæque, Laban; cetera vero, Jacob, separatis inter se gregibus.(vulgate) Genesis 30:40 And Iaakob parted these lambes, and turned the faces of the flocke towardes these lambes partie coloured and all maner of blacke, among the sheepe of Laban: so hee put his owne flockes by themselues, and put them not with Labans flocke.(Geneva) Gen 30:40 Da schied Jakob die Lämmer und richtete die Herde mit dem Angesicht gegen die Gefleckten und Schwarzen in der Herde Labans und machte sich eine eigene Herde, die tat er nicht zu der Herde Labans.(dhs) Gen 30:40 Then Jacob separated the lambs, and made the flocks face toward the streaked and all the brown in the flock of Laban; but he put his own flocks by themselves and did not put them with Laban's flock.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:41 ============ Gen 30:41 Moreover, whenever the stronger of the flock were mating, Jacob would place the rods in the sight of the flock in the gutters, so that they might mate by the rods;(nas) Gen 30:41 ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ᾧ ἐνεκίσσησεν τὰ πρόβατα ἐν γαστρὶ λαμβάνοντα ἔθηκεν Ιακωβ τὰς ῥάβδους ἐναντίον τῶν προβάτων ἐν ταῖς ληνοῖς τοῦ ἐγκισσῆσαι αὐτὰ κατὰ τὰς ῥάβδους (lxx) Gen 30:41 Igitur quando primo tempore ascendebantur oves, ponebat Jacob virgas in canalibus aquarum ante oculos arietum et ovium, ut in earum contemplatione conciperent:(vulgate) Genesis 30:41 And in euery ramming time of the stronger sheepe, Iaakob layde the rods before the eyes of the sheepe in the gutters, that they might conceiue before the rods.(Geneva) Gen 30:41 Wenn aber der Lauf der Frühling-Herde war, legte er die Stäbe in die Rinnen vor die Augen der Herde, daß sie über den Stäben empfingen;(dhs) Gen 30:41 And it came to pass, whenever the stronger livestock conceived, that Jacob placed the rods before the eyes of the livestock in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:42 ============ Gen 30:42 but when the flock was feeble, he did not put them in; so the feebler were Laban's and the stronger Jacob's.(nas) Gen 30:42 ἡνίκα δ᾽ ἂν ἔτεκον τὰ πρόβατα οὐκ ἐτίθει ἐγένετο δὲ τὰ ἄσημα τοῦ Λαβαν τὰ δὲ ἐπίσημα τοῦ Ιακωβ (lxx) Gen 30:42 quando vero serotina admissura erat, et conceptus extremus, non ponebat eas. Factaque sunt ea quæ erant serotina, Laban: et quæ primi temporis, Jacob.(vulgate) Genesis 30:42 But when the sheepe were feeble, hee put them not in: and so the feebler were Labans, and the stronger Iaakobs.(Geneva) Gen 30:42 aber in der Spätlinge Lauf legte er sie nicht hinein. Also wurden die Spätlinge des Laban, aber die Frühlinge des Jakob.(dhs) Gen 30:42 But when the flocks were feeble, he did not put them in; so the feebler were Laban's and the stronger Jacob's.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 30:43 ============ Gen 30:43 So the man became exceedingly prosperous, and had large flocks and female and male servants and camels and donkeys.
