And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:2 ============ Exo 3:2 The angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed.(nas) Exo 3:2 ὤφθη δὲ αὐτῷ ἄγγελος κυρίου ἐν φλογὶ πυρὸς ἐκ τοῦ βάτου καὶ ὁρᾷ ὅτι ὁ βάτος καίεται πυρί ὁ δὲ βάτος οὐ κατεκαίετο (lxx) Exo 3:2 Apparuitque ei Dominus in flamma ignis de medio rubi: et videbat quod rubus arderet, et non combureretur.(vulgate) Exodus 3:2 Then the Angel of the Lord appeared vnto him in a flame of fire, out of the middes of a bush: and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.(Geneva) Exo 3:2 Und der Engel des HERRN erschien ihm in einer feurigen Flamme aus dem Busch. Und er sah, daß der Busch mit Feuer brannte und ward doch nicht verzehrt;(dhs) Exo 3:2 And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:3 ============ Exo 3:3 So Moses said, "I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up."(nas) Exo 3:3 εἶπεν δὲ Μωυσῆς παρελθὼν ὄψομαι τὸ ὅραμα τὸ μέγα τοῦτο τί ὅτι οὐ κατακαίεται ὁ βάτος (lxx) Exo 3:3 Dixit ergo Moyses: Vadam, et videbo visionem hanc magnam, quare non comburatur rubus.(vulgate) Exodus 3:3 Therefore Moses saide, I will turne aside nowe, and see this great sight, why the bush burneth not.(Geneva) Exo 3:3 und sprach: ich will dahin und beschauen dies große Gesicht, warum der Busch nicht verbrennt.(dhs) Exo 3:3 Then Moses said, "I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:4 ============ Exo 3:4 When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am."(nas) Exo 3:4 ὡς δὲ εἶδεν κύριος ὅτι προσάγει ἰδεῖν ἐκάλεσεν αὐτὸν κύριος ἐκ τοῦ βάτου λέγων Μωυσῆ Μωυσῆ ὁ δὲ εἶπεν τί ἐστιν (lxx) Exo 3:4 Cernens autem Dominus quod pergeret ad videndum, vocavit eum de medio rubi, et ait: Moyses, Moyses. Qui respondit: Adsum.(vulgate) Exodus 3:4 And when the Lord sawe that he turned aside to see, God called vnto him out of the middes of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses; he answered, I am here.(Geneva) Exo 3:4 Da aber der HERR sah, daß er hinging, zu sehen, rief ihm Gott aus dem Busch und sprach: Mose, Mose! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich.(dhs) Exo 3:4 So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:5 ============ Exo 3:5 Then He said, "Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground."(nas) Exo 3:5 καὶ εἶπεν μὴ ἐγγίσῃς ὧδε λῦσαι τὸ ὑπόδημα ἐκ τῶν ποδῶν σου ὁ γὰρ τόπος ἐν ᾧ σὺ ἕστηκας γῆ ἁγία ἐστίν (lxx) Exo 3:5 At ille: Ne appropies, inquit, huc: solve calceamentum de pedibus tuis: locus enim, in quo stas, terra sancta est.(vulgate) Exodus 3:5 Then he saide, Come not hither, put thy shooes off thy feete: for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.(Geneva) Exo 3:5 Er sprach: Tritt nicht herzu, zieh deine Schuhe aus von deinen Füßen; denn der Ort, darauf du stehst, ist ein heilig Land!(dhs) Exo 3:5 Then He said, "Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:6 ============ Exo 3:6 He said also, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.(nas) Exo 3:6 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ θεὸς τοῦ πατρός σου θεὸς Αβρααμ καὶ θεὸς Ισαακ καὶ θεὸς Ιακωβ ἀπέστρεψεν δὲ Μωυσῆς τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ εὐλαβεῖτο γὰρ κατεμβλέψαι ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ (lxx) Exo 3:6 Et ait: Ego sum Deus patris tui, Deus Abraham, Deus Isaac et Deus Jacob. Abscondit Moyses faciem suam: non enim audebat aspicere contra Deum.(vulgate) Exodus 3:6 Moreouer he saide, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Izhak, and the God of Iaakob. And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:7 ============ Exo 3:7 The Lord said, "I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings.(nas) Exo 3:7 εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἰδὼν εἶδον τὴν κάκωσιν τοῦ λαοῦ μου τοῦ ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ τῆς κραυγῆς αὐτῶν ἀκήκοα ἀπὸ τῶν ἐργοδιωκτῶν οἶδα γὰρ τὴν ὀδύνην αὐτῶν (lxx) Exo 3:7 Cui ait Dominus: Vidi afflictionem populi mei in Ægypto, et clamorem ejus audivi propter duritiam eorum qui præsunt operibus:(vulgate) Exodus 3:7 Then the Lorde said, I haue surely seene the trouble of my people, which are in Egypt, and haue heard their crie, because of their taskemasters: for I knowe their sorowes.(Geneva) Exo 3:7 Und der HERR sprach: Ich habe gesehen das Elend meines Volkes in Ägypten und habe ihr Geschrei gehört über die, so sie drängen; ich habe ihr Leid erkannt(dhs) Exo 3:7 And the Lord said: "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:8 ============ Exo 3:8 So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite.(nas) Exo 3:8 καὶ κατέβην ἐξελέσθαι αὐτοὺς ἐκ χειρὸς Αἰγυπτίων καὶ ἐξαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἐκείνης καὶ εἰσαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς γῆν ἀγαθὴν καὶ πολλήν εἰς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι εἰς τὸν τόπον τῶν Χαναναίων καὶ Χετταίων καὶ Αμορραίων καὶ Φερεζαίων καὶ Γεργεσαίων καὶ Ευαίων καὶ Ιεβουσαίων (lxx) Exo 3:8 et sciens dolorem ejus, descendi ut liberem eum de manibus Ægyptiorum, et educam de terra illa in terram bonam, et spatiosam, in terram quæ fluit lacte et melle, ad loca Chananæi et Hethæi, et Amorrhæi, et Pherezæi, et Hevæi, et Jebusæi.(vulgate) Exodus 3:8 Therefore I am come downe to deliuer them out of the hande of the Egyptians, and to bring them out of that lande into a good lande and a large, into a lande that floweth with milke and honie, euen into the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hiuites, and the Iebusites.(Geneva) Exo 3:8 und bin herniedergefahren, daß ich sie errette von der Ägypter Hand und sie ausführe aus diesem Lande in ein gutes und weites Land, in ein Land, darin Milch und Honig fließt, an den Ort der Kanaaniter, Hethiter, Amoriter, Pheresiter, Heviter und Jebusiter.(dhs) Exo 3:8 So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:9 ============ Exo 3:9 Now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me; furthermore, I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them. (nas) Exo 3:9 καὶ νῦν ἰδοὺ κραυγὴ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἥκει πρός με κἀγὼ ἑώρακα τὸν θλιμμόν ὃν οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι θλίβουσιν αὐτούς (lxx) Exo 3:9 Clamor ergo filiorum Israël venit ad me: vidique afflictionem eorum, qua ab Ægyptiis opprimuntur.(vulgate) Exodus 3:9 And now lo, the crie of the children of Israel is come vnto me, & I haue also seene ye oppression, wherewith the Egyptians oppresse them.(Geneva) Exo 3:9 Weil nun das Geschrei der Kinder Israel vor mich gekommen ist, und ich auch dazu ihre Angst gesehen habe, wie die Ägypter sie ängsten,(dhs) Exo 3:9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:10 ============ Exo 3:10 Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt."(nas) Exo 3:10 καὶ νῦν δεῦρο ἀποστείλω σε πρὸς Φαραω βασιλέα Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐξάξεις τὸν λαόν μου τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου (lxx) Exo 3:10 Sed veni, et mittam te ad Pharaonem, ut educas populum meum, filios Israël, de Ægypto.~(vulgate) Exodus 3:10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee vnto Pharaoh, that thou maiest bring my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.(Geneva) Exo 3:10 so gehe nun hin, ich will dich zu Pharao senden, daß du mein Volk, die Kinder Israel, aus Ägypten führest.(dhs) Exo 3:10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:11 ============ Exo 3:11 But Moses said to God, "Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?"(nas) Exo 3:11 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς τὸν θεόν τίς εἰμι ὅτι πορεύσομαι πρὸς Φαραω βασιλέα Αἰγύπτου καὶ ὅτι ἐξάξω τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου (lxx) Exo 3:11 Dixitque Moyses ad Deum: Quis sum ego ut vadam ad Pharaonem, et educam filios Israël de Ægypto?(vulgate) Exodus 3:11 But Moses said vnto God, Who am I, that I should go vnto Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?(Geneva) Exo 3:11 Mose sprach zu Gott: Wer bin ich, daß ich zu Pharao gehe und führe die Kinder Israel aus Ägypten?(dhs) Exo 3:11 But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?"(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:12 ============ Exo 3:12 And He said, "Certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain."(nas) Exo 3:12 εἶπεν δὲ ὁ θεὸς Μωυσεῖ λέγων ὅτι ἔσομαι μετὰ σοῦ καὶ τοῦτό σοι τὸ σημεῖον ὅτι ἐγώ σε ἐξαποστέλλω ἐν τῷ ἐξαγαγεῖν σε τὸν λαόν μου ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ λατρεύσετε τῷ θεῷ ἐν τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ (lxx) Exo 3:12 Qui dixit ei: Ego ero tecum: et hoc habebis signum, quod miserim te: cum eduxeris populum meum de Ægypto, immolabis Deo super montem istum.(vulgate) Exodus 3:12 And he answered, Certainely I will be with thee: and this shall be a token vnto thee, that I haue sent thee, After that thou hast brought the people out of Egypt, ye shall serue God vpon this Mountaine.(Geneva) Exo 3:12 Er sprach: Ich will mit dir sein. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:13 ============ Exo 3:13 Then Moses said to God, "Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you.' Now they may say to me, 'What is His name?' What shall I say to them?"(nas) Exo 3:13 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς τὸν θεόν ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐλεύσομαι πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐρῶ πρὸς αὐτούς ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν ἀπέσταλκέν με πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐρωτήσουσίν με τί ὄνομα αὐτῷ τί ἐρῶ πρὸς αὐτούς (lxx) Exo 3:13 Ait Moyses ad Deum: Ecce ego vadam ad filios Israël, et dicam eis: Deus patrum vestrorum misit me ad vos. Si dixerint mihi: Quod est nomen ejus? quid dicam eis?(vulgate) Exodus 3:13 Then Moses said vnto God, Behold, when I shall come vnto the children of Israel, and shall say vnto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me vnto you: if they say vnto me, What is his Name? Ait: Sic dices filiis Israël: Qui est, misit me ad vos.(vulgate) Exodus 3:14 And God answered Moses, I Am That I Am. Also he said, Thus shalt thou say vnto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me vnto you.(Geneva) Exo 3:14 Gott sprach zu Mose: ICH WERDE SEIN, DER ICH SEIN WERDE. And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.' "(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:15 ============ Exo 3:15 God, furthermore, said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations.(nas) Exo 3:15 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς πάλιν πρὸς Μωυσῆν οὕτως ἐρεῖς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν θεὸς Αβρααμ καὶ θεὸς Ισαακ καὶ θεὸς Ιακωβ ἀπέσταλκέν με πρὸς ὑμᾶς τοῦτό μού ἐστιν ὄνομα αἰώνιον καὶ μνημόσυνον γενεῶν γενεαῖς (lxx) Exo 3:15 Dixitque iterum Deus ad Moysen: Hæc dices filiis Israël: Dominus Deus patrum vestrorum, Deus Abraham, Deus Isaac et Deus Jacob, misit me ad vos: hoc nomen mihi est in æternum, et hoc memoriale meum in generationem et generationem.(vulgate) Exodus 3:15 And God spake further vnto Moses, Thus shalt thou say vnto the children of Israel, The Lorde God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Izhak, and the God of Iaakob hath sent me vnto you: this is my Name for euer, and this is my memoriall vnto all ages.(Geneva) Exo 3:15 Und Gott sprach weiter zu Mose: Also sollst du den Kindern Israel sagen: Der HERR, eurer Väter Gott, der Gott Abrahams, der Gott Isaaks, der Gott Jakobs, hat mich zu euch gesandt. Das ist mein Name ewiglich, dabei soll man mein Gedenken für und für.(dhs) Exo 3:15 Moreover God said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: 'The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. '(nkjv) ======= Exodus 3:18 ============ Exo 3:18 They will pay heed to what you say; and you with the elders of Israel will come to the king of Egypt and you will say to him, 'The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us.
