So Aaron, therefore, kept silent.(nas) Lev 10:3 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς Ααρων τοῦτό ἐστιν ὃ εἶπεν κύριος λέγων ἐν τοῖς ἐγγίζουσίν μοι ἁγιασθήσομαι καὶ ἐν πάσῃ τῇ συναγωγῇ δοξασθήσομαι καὶ κατενύχθη Ααρων (lxx) Lev 10:3 Dixitque Moyses ad Aaron: Hoc est quod locutus est Dominus: Sanctificabor in iis qui appropinquant mihi, et in conspectu omnis populi glorificabor. But your kinsmen, the whole house of Israel, shall bewail the burning which the Lord has brought about.(nas) Lev 10:6 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς Ααρων καὶ Ελεαζαρ καὶ Ιθαμαρ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ τοὺς καταλελειμμένους τὴν κεφαλὴν ὑμῶν οὐκ ἀποκιδαρώσετε καὶ τὰ ἱμάτια ὑμῶν οὐ διαρρήξετε ἵνα μὴ ἀποθάνητε καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν συναγωγὴν ἔσται θυμός οἱ ἀδελφοὶ ὑμῶν πᾶς ὁ οἶκος Ισραηλ κλαύσονται τὸν ἐμπυρισμόν ὃν ἐνεπυρίσθησαν ὑπὸ κυρίου (lxx) Lev 10:6 Locutusque est Moyses ad Aaron, et ad Eleazar, et Ithamar, filios ejus: Capita vestra nolite nudare, et vestimenta nolite scindere, ne forte moriamini, et super omnem cœtum oriatur indignatio. So they did according to the word of Moses.(nas) Lev 10:7 καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου οὐκ ἐξελεύσεσθε ἵνα μὴ ἀποθάνητε τὸ γὰρ ἔλαιον τῆς χρίσεως τὸ παρὰ κυρίου ἐφ᾽ ὑμῖν καὶ ἐποίησαν κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμα Μωυσῆ (lxx) Lev 10:7 vos autem non egrediemini fores tabernaculi, alioquin peribitis: oleum quippe sanctæ unctionis est super vos. And they did according to the word of Moses.(nkjv) ======= Leviticus 10:8 ============ Lev 10:8 The Lord then spoke to Aaron, saying,(nas) Lev 10:8 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος τῷ Ααρων λέγων (lxx) Lev 10:8 Dixit quoque Dominus ad Aaron:(vulgate) Leviticus 10:8 And the Lorde spake vnto Aaron, saying,(Geneva) Lev 10:8 Der HERR aber redete mit Aaron und sprach:(dhs) Lev 10:8 Then the Lord spoke to Aaron, saying:(nkjv) ======= Leviticus 10:9 ============ Lev 10:9 "Do not drink wine or strong drink, neither you nor your sons with you, when you come into the tent of meeting, so that you will not die--it is a perpetual statute throughout your generations--(nas) Lev 10:9 οἶνον καὶ σικερα οὐ πίεσθε σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου μετὰ σοῦ ἡνίκα ἂν εἰσπορεύησθε εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἢ προσπορευομένων ὑμῶν πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνητε νόμιμον αἰώνιον εἰς τὰς γενεὰς ὑμῶν (lxx) Lev 10:9 Vinum, et omne quod inebriare potest, non bibetis tu et filii tui, quando intratis in tabernaculum testimonii, ne moriamini: quia præceptum sempiternum est in generationes vestras:(vulgate) Leviticus 10:9 Thou shalt not drinke wine nor strong drinke, thou, nor thy sonnes with thee, when yee come into the Tabernacle of the Congregation, lest ye die: this is an ordinance for euer throughout your generations,(Geneva) Lev 10:9 Du und deine Söhne mit dir sollt keinen Wein noch starkes Getränk trinken, wenn ihr in die Hütte des Stifts geht, auf daß ihr nicht sterbet. Das sei ein ewiges Recht allen euren Nachkommen,(dhs) Lev 10:9 "Do not drink wine or intoxicating drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die. for they have been given as your due and your sons' due out of the sacrifices of the peace offerings of the sons of Israel.(nas) Lev 10:14 καὶ τὸ στηθύνιον τοῦ ἀφορίσματος καὶ τὸν βραχίονα τοῦ ἀφαιρέματος φάγεσθε ἐν τόπῳ ἁγίῳ σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ ὁ οἶκός σου μετὰ σοῦ νόμιμον γὰρ σοὶ καὶ νόμιμον τοῖς υἱοῖς σου ἐδόθη ἀπὸ τῶν θυσιῶν τοῦ σωτηρίου τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ (lxx) Lev 10:14 Pectusculum quoque quod oblatum est, et armum qui separatus est, edetis in loco mundissimo tu et filii tui, et filiæ tuæ tecum: tibi enim ac liberis tuis reposita sunt de hostiis salutaribus filiorum Israël:(vulgate) Leviticus 10:14 Also the shaken breast and the heaue shoulder shall yee eate in a cleane place: thou, and thy sonnes, and thy daughters with thee: for they are giuen as thy duetie & thy sonnes duety, of the peace offringes of the children of Israel.(Geneva) Lev 10:14 Aber die Webebrust und die Hebeschulter sollst du und deine Söhne und deine Töchter mit dir essen an reiner Stätte; denn solch Recht ist dir und deinen Kindern gegeben an den Dankopfern der Kinder Israel.(dhs) Lev 10:14 The breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering you shall eat in a clean place, you, your sons, and your daughters with you; for they are your due and your sons' due, which are given from the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.(nkjv) ======= Leviticus 10:15 ============ Lev 10:15 The thigh offered by lifting up and the breast offered by waving they shall bring along with the offerings by fire of the portions of fat, to present as a wave offering before the Lord; so it shall be a thing perpetually due you and your sons with you, just as the Lord has commanded."(nas) Lev 10:15 τὸν βραχίονα τοῦ ἀφαιρέματος καὶ τὸ στηθύνιον τοῦ ἀφορίσματος ἐπὶ τῶν καρπωμάτων τῶν στεάτων προσοίσουσιν ἀφόρισμα ἀφορίσαι ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἔσται σοὶ καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς σου καὶ ταῖς θυγατράσιν σου μετὰ σοῦ νόμιμον αἰώνιον ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ (lxx) Lev 10:15 eo quod armum et pectus, et adipes qui cremantur in altari, elevaverunt coram Domino, et pertineant ad te, et ad filios tuos, lege perpetua, sicut præcepit Dominus.(vulgate) Leviticus 10:15 The heaue shoulder, and the shaken breast shall they bring with the offringes made by fire of the fat, to shake it to and fro before the Lord, and it shalbe thine and thy sonnes with thee by a lawe for euer, as the Lord hath commaunded.(Geneva) Lev 10:15 Denn die Hebeschulter und die Webebrust soll man zu den Opfern des Fetts bringen, daß sie zum Webeopfer gewebt werden vor dem HERRN; darum ist's dein und deiner Kinder zum ewigen Recht, wie der HERR geboten hat.(dhs) Lev 10:15 The thigh of the heave offering and the breast of the wave offering they shall bring with the offerings of fat made by fire, to offer as a wave offering before the Lord. And it shall be yours and your sons' with you, by a statute forever, as the Lord has commanded."(nkjv) ======= Leviticus 10:16 ============ Lev 10:16 But Moses searched carefully for the goat of the sin offering, and behold, it had been burned up! So he was angry with Aaron's surviving sons Eleazar and Ithamar, saying,(nas) Lev 10:16 καὶ τὸν χίμαρον τὸν περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας ζητῶν ἐξεζήτησεν Μωυσῆς καὶ ὅδε ἐνεπεπύριστο καὶ ἐθυμώθη Μωυσῆς ἐπὶ Ελεαζαρ καὶ Ιθαμαρ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ααρων τοὺς καταλελειμμένους λέγων (lxx) Lev 10:16 Inter hæc, hircum, qui oblatus fuerat pro peccato, cum quæreret Moyses, exustum reperit: iratusque contra Eleazar et Ithamar filios Aaron, qui remanserant, ait:(vulgate) Leviticus 10:16 And Moses sought the goate that was offred for sinne, and lo, it was burnt: therefore he was angrie with Eleazar and Ithamar the sonnes of Aaron, which were left aliue, saying,(Geneva) Lev 10:16 Und Mose suchte den Bock des Sündopfers, und fand ihn verbrannt, Und er ward zornig über Eleasar und Ithamar, Aarons Söhne, die noch übrig waren, und sprach:(dhs) Lev 10:16 Then Moses made careful inquiry about the goat of the sin offering, and there it was--burned up.
