"(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:11 ============ Num 5:11 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,(nas) Num 5:11 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων (lxx) Num 5:11 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens:(vulgate) Numbers 5:11 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,(Geneva) Num 5:11 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:(dhs) Num 5:11 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:12 ============ Num 5:12 "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'If any man's wife goes astray and is unfaithful to him,(nas) Num 5:12 λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς ἀνδρὸς ἀνδρὸς ἐὰν παραβῇ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ παρίδῃ αὐτὸν ὑπεριδοῦσα (lxx) Num 5:12 Loquere ad filios Israël, et dices ad eos: Vir cujus uxor erraverit, maritumque contemnens(vulgate) Numbers 5:12 Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, If any mans wife turne to euill, and commit a trespasse against him,(Geneva) Num 5:12 Sage den Kindern Israel und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn irgend eines Mannes Weib untreu würde und sich an ihm versündigte(dhs) Num 5:12 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'If any man's wife goes astray and behaves unfaithfully toward him,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:13 ============ Num 5:13 and a man has intercourse with her and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband and she is undetected, although she has defiled herself, and there is no witness against her and she has not been caught in the act,(nas) Num 5:13 καὶ κοιμηθῇ τις μετ᾽ αὐτῆς κοίτην σπέρματος καὶ λάθῃ ἐξ ὀφθαλμῶν τοῦ ἀνδρὸς αὐτῆς καὶ κρύψῃ αὐτὴ δὲ ᾖ μεμιαμμένη καὶ μάρτυς μὴ ἦν μετ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ αὐτὴ μὴ ᾖ συνειλημμένη (lxx) Num 5:13 dormierit cum altero viro, et hoc maritus deprehendere non quiverit, sed latet adulterium, et testibus argui non potest, quia non est inventa in stupro:(vulgate) Numbers 5:13 So that an other man lie with her fleshly, and it bee hid from the eyes of her husbande, and kept close, and yet she be defiled, and there be no witnesse against her, neither she taken with the maner,(Geneva) Num 5:13 und jemand bei ihr liegt, und es würde doch dem Manne verborgen vor seinen Augen und würde entdeckt, daß sie unrein geworden ist, und er kann sie nicht überführen, denn sie ist nicht dabei ergriffen,(dhs) Num 5:13 and a man lies with her carnally, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and it is concealed that she has defiled herself, and there was no witness against her, nor was she caught--(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:14 ============ Num 5:14 if a spirit of jealousy comes over him and he is jealous of his wife when she has defiled herself, or if a spirit of jealousy comes over him and he is jealous of his wife when she has not defiled herself,(nas) Num 5:14 καὶ ἐπέλθῃ αὐτῷ πνεῦμα ζηλώσεως καὶ ζηλώσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ αὐτὴ δὲ μεμίανται ἢ ἐπέλθῃ αὐτῷ πνεῦμα ζηλώσεως καὶ ζηλώσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ αὐτὴ δὲ μὴ ᾖ μεμιαμμένη (lxx) Num 5:14 si spiritus zelotypiæ concitaverit virum contra uxorem suam, quæ vel polluta est, vel falsa suspicione appetitur:(vulgate) Numbers 5:14 If he be moued with a ielous minde, so that he is ielous ouer his wife, which is defiled, or if he haue a ielous minde, so that he is ielous ouer his wife, which is not defiled,(Geneva) Num 5:14 und der Eifergeist entzündet ihn, daß er um sein Weib eifert, sie sei unrein oder nicht unrein,(dhs) Num 5:14 if the spirit of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife, who has defiled herself; or if the spirit of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife, although she has not defiled herself--(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:15 ============ Num 5:15 the man shall then bring his wife to the priest, and shall bring as an offering for her one-tenth of an ephah of barley meal; he shall not pour oil on it nor put frankincense on it, for it is a grain offering of jealousy, a grain offering of memorial, a reminder of iniquity.(nas) Num 5:15 καὶ ἄξει ὁ ἄνθρωπος τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα καὶ προσοίσει τὸ δῶρον περὶ αὐτῆς τὸ δέκατον τοῦ οιφι ἄλευρον κρίθινον οὐκ ἐπιχεεῖ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸ ἔλαιον οὐδὲ ἐπιθήσει ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸ λίβανον ἔστιν γὰρ θυσία ζηλοτυπίας θυσία μνημοσύνου ἀναμιμνήσκουσα ἁμαρτίαν (lxx) Num 5:15 adducet eam ad sacerdotem, et offeret oblationem pro illa, decimam partem sati farinæ hordeaceæ: non fundet super eam oleum, nec imponet thus: quia sacrificium zelotypiæ est, et oblatio investigans adulterium.(vulgate) Numbers 5:15 Then shall the man bring his wife to the Priest, and bring her offering with her, the tenth part of an Ephah of barly meale, but he shal not powre oyle vpon it, nor put incense thereon: for it is an offring of ielousie, an offring for a remembrance, calling the sinne to minde:(Geneva) Num 5:15 so soll er sie zum Priester bringen und ein Opfer über sie bringen, ein zehntel Epha Gerstenmehl, und soll kein Öl darauf gießen noch Weihrauch darauf tun. He shall bring the offering required for her, one-tenth of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil on it and put no frankincense on it, because it is a grain offering of jealousy, an offering for remembering, for bringing iniquity to remembrance.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:16 ============ Num 5:16 'Then the priest shall bring her near and have her stand before the Lord,(nas) Num 5:16 καὶ προσάξει αὐτὴν ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ στήσει αὐτὴν ἔναντι κυρίου (lxx) Num 5:16 Offeret igitur eam sacerdos, et statuet coram Domino,(vulgate) Numbers 5:16 And the Priest shall bring her, and set her before the Lord.(Geneva) Num 5:16 Da soll der Priester sie herzuführen und vor den HERRN stellen(dhs) Num 5:16 'And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:17 ============ Num 5:17 and the priest shall take holy water in an earthenware vessel; and he shall take some of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle and put it into the water.(nas) Num 5:17 καὶ λήμψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ὕδωρ καθαρὸν ζῶν ἐν ἀγγείῳ ὀστρακίνῳ καὶ τῆς γῆς τῆς οὔσης ἐπὶ τοῦ ἐδάφους τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ λαβὼν ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐμβαλεῖ εἰς τὸ ὕδωρ (lxx) Num 5:17 assumetque aquam sanctam in vase fictili, et pauxillum terræ de pavimento tabernaculi mittet in eam.(vulgate) Numbers 5:17 Then the Priest shal take the holy water in an earthen vessel, and of the dust that is in the floore of the Tabernacle, euen the Priest shal take it and put it into the water.(Geneva) Num 5:17 und heiliges Wasser nehmen in ein irdenes Gefäß und Staub vom Boden der Wohnung ins Wasser tun.(dhs) Num 5:17 The priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel, and take some of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle and put it into the water.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:18 ============ Num 5:18 The priest shall then have the woman stand before the Lord and let the hair of the woman's head go loose, and place the grain offering of memorial in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy, and in the hand of the priest is to be the water of bitterness that brings a curse.(nas) Num 5:18 καὶ στήσει ὁ ἱερεὺς τὴν γυναῖκα ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἀποκαλύψει τὴν κεφαλὴν τῆς γυναικὸς καὶ δώσει ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς τὴν θυσίαν τοῦ μνημοσύνου τὴν θυσίαν τῆς ζηλοτυπίας ἐν δὲ τῇ χειρὶ τοῦ ἱερέως ἔσται τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ τοῦ ἐπικαταρωμένου τούτου (lxx) Num 5:18 Cumque steterit mulier in conspectu Domini, discooperiet caput ejus, et ponet super manus illius sacrificium recordationis, et oblationem zelotypiæ: ipse autem tenebit aquas amarissimas, in quibus cum execratione maledicta congessit.(vulgate) Numbers 5:18 After, the Priest shal set the woman before the Lord, and vncouer the womans head, and put the offring of the memorial in her hands: it is the ielousie offering, and the Priest shall haue bitter and cursed water in his hand,(Geneva) Num 5:18 Und soll das Weib vor den HERRN stellen und ihr Haupt entblößen und das Rügeopfer, das ein Eiferopfer ist, auf ihre Hand legen; und der Priester soll in seiner Hand bitteres verfluchtes Wasser haben(dhs) Num 5:18 Then the priest shall stand the woman before the Lord, uncover the woman's head, and put the offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy. And the woman shall say, "Amen. Amen."(nas) Num 5:22 καὶ εἰσελεύσεται τὸ ὕδωρ τὸ ἐπικαταρώμενον τοῦτο εἰς τὴν κοιλίαν σου πρῆσαι γαστέρα καὶ διαπεσεῖν μηρόν σου καὶ ἐρεῖ ἡ γυνή γένοιτο γένοιτο (lxx) Num 5:22 Ingrediantur aquæ maledictæ in ventrem tuum, et utero tumescente putrescat femur. Et respondebit mulier: Amen, amen.(vulgate) Numbers 5:22 And that this cursed water may goe into thy bowels, to cause thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot. Then the woman shall say, "Amen, so be it."(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:23 ============ Num 5:23 'The priest shall then write these curses on a scroll, and he shall wash them off into the water of bitterness.(nas) Num 5:23 καὶ γράψει ὁ ἱερεὺς τὰς ἀρὰς ταύτας εἰς βιβλίον καὶ ἐξαλείψει εἰς τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ τοῦ ἐπικαταρωμένου (lxx) Num 5:23 Scribetque sacerdos in libello ista maledicta, et delebit ea aquis amarissimis, in quas maledicta congessit,(vulgate) Numbers 5:23 After, the Priest shal write these curses in a booke, and shall blot them out with the bitter water,(Geneva) Num 5:23 Also soll der Priester diese Flüche auf einen Zettel schreiben und mit dem bittern Wasser abwaschen(dhs) Num 5:23 'Then the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall scrape them off into the bitter water.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:24 ============ Num 5:24 Then he shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that brings a curse, so that the water which brings a curse will go into her and cause bitterness.(nas) Num 5:24 καὶ ποτιεῖ τὴν γυναῖκα τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ τοῦ ἐπικαταρωμένου καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς αὐτὴν τὸ ὕδωρ τὸ ἐπικαταρώμενον τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ (lxx) Num 5:24 et dabit ei bibere. Quas cum exhauserit,(vulgate) Numbers 5:24 And shal cause the woman to drinke ye bitter and cursed water, and the cursed water, turned into bitternesse, shal enter into her.(Geneva) Num 5:24 und soll that brings the curse shall enter her to become bitter.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:25 ============ Num 5:25 The priest shall take the grain offering of jealousy from the woman's hand, and he shall wave the grain offering before the Lord and bring it to the altar;(nas) Num 5:25 καὶ λήμψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐκ χειρὸς τῆς γυναικὸς τὴν θυσίαν τῆς ζηλοτυπίας καὶ ἐπιθήσει τὴν θυσίαν ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ προσοίσει αὐτὴν πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον (lxx) Num 5:25 tollet sacerdos de manu ejus sacrificium zelotypiæ, et elevabit illud coram Domino, imponetque illud super altare, ita dumtaxat ut prius:(vulgate) Numbers 5:25 Then the Priest shall take the ielousie offring out of the womans hand, and shal shake the offring before the Lord, and offer it vpon ye altar.(Geneva) Num 5:25 Es soll aber der Priester von offering and offer it up in smoke on the altar, and afterward he shall make the woman drink the water.(nas) Num 5:26 καὶ δράξεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ἀπὸ τῆς θυσίας τὸ μνημόσυνον αὐτῆς καὶ ἀνοίσει αὐτὸ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ποτιεῖ τὴν γυναῖκα τὸ ὕδωρ (lxx) Num 5:26 pugillum sacrificii tollat de eo, quod offertur, et incendat super altare: et sic potum det mulieri aquas amarissimas.(vulgate) memorial portion, burn it on the altar, and afterward make the woman drink the water.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:27 ============ Num 5:27 When he has made her drink the water, then it shall come about, if she has defiled herself and has been unfaithful to her husband, that the water which brings a curse will go into her and cause bitterness, and her abdomen will swell and her thigh will waste away, and the woman will become a curse among her people.(nas) Num 5:27 καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν ᾖ μεμιαμμένη καὶ λήθῃ λάθῃ τὸν ἄνδρα αὐτῆς καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς αὐτὴν τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ τὸ ἐπικαταρώμενον καὶ πρησθήσεται τὴν κοιλίαν καὶ διαπεσεῖται ὁ μηρὸς αὐτῆς καὶ ἔσται ἡ γυνὴ εἰς ἀρὰν ἐν τῷ λαῷ αὐτῆς (lxx) Num 5:27 Quas cum biberit, si polluta est, et contempto viro adulterii rea, pertransibunt eam aquæ maledictionis, et inflato ventre, computrescet femur: eritque mulier in maledictionem, et in exemplum omni populo.(vulgate) Numbers 5:27 When yee haue made her drinke the water, (if she bee defiled and haue trespassed against her husband) then shall the cursed water, turned into bitternesse, enter into her, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot, and the woman shal be accursed among behaved unfaithfully toward her husband, that the water that brings a curse will enter her and become bitter, and her belly will swell, her thigh will rot, and the woman will become a curse among her people.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 5:28 ============ Num 5:28 But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, she will then be free and conceive children.(nas) Num 5:28 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ μιανθῇ ἡ γυνὴ καὶ καθαρὰ ᾖ καὶ ἀθῴα ἔσται καὶ ἐκσπερματιεῖ σπέρμα (lxx) Num 5:28 Quod si polluta non fuerit, erit innoxia, et faciet liberos.(vulgate) Numbers 5:28 But if the woman bee not defiled, but bee cleane, she
