Today's Date: ======= Nehemiah 13:1 ============ Neh 13:1 On that day they read aloud from the book of Moses in the hearing of the people; and there was found written in it that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever enter the assembly of God,(nas) Neh 13:1 ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἀνεγνώσθη ἐν βιβλίῳ Μωυσῆ ἐν ὠσὶν τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ εὑρέθη γεγραμμένον ἐν αὐτῷ ὅπως μὴ εἰσέλθωσιν Αμμανῖται καὶ Μωαβῖται ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ θεοῦ ἕως αἰῶνος (lxx) Neh 13:1 In die autem illo, lectum est in volumine Moysi, audiente populo: et inventum est scriptum in eo, quod non debeant introire Ammonites et Moabites in ecclesiam Dei usque in æternum:(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:1 And on that day did they reade in the booke of Moses, in the audience of the people, and it was found written therein, that the Ammonite, & the Moabite should not enter into the Congregation of God,(Geneva) Neh 13:1 Und es ward zu der Zeit gelesen das Buch Mose vor den Ohren des Volks und ward gefunden darin geschrieben, daß die Ammoniter und Moabiter sollen nimmermehr in die Gemeinde Gottes kommen,(dhs) Neh 13:1 On that day they read from the Book of Moses in the hearing of the people, and in it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever come into the assembly of God,(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:2 ============ Neh 13:2 because they did not meet the sons of Israel with bread and water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them. However, our God turned the curse into a blessing.(nas) Neh 13:2 ὅτι οὐ συνήντησαν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐν ἄρτῳ καὶ ἐν ὕδατι καὶ ἐμισθώσαντο ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν τὸν Βαλααμ καταράσασθαι καὶ ἔστρεψεν ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν τὴν κατάραν εἰς εὐλογίαν (lxx) Neh 13:2 eo quod non occurrerint filiis Israël cum pane et aqua, et conduxerint adversum eos Balaam ad maledicendum eis: et convertit Deus noster maledictionem in benedictionem.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:2 Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: and our God turned the curse into a blessing.(Geneva) Neh 13:2 darum daß sie den Kindern Israel nicht entgegenkamen mit Brot und Wasser und dingten sie wider Bileam, daß er sie verfluchen sollte; aber unser Gott wandte den Fluch in einen Segen.(dhs) Neh 13:2 because they had not met the children of Israel with bread and water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them. However, our God turned the curse into a blessing.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:3 ============ Neh 13:3 So when they heard the law, they excluded all foreigners from Israel. (nas) Neh 13:3 καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἤκουσαν τὸν νόμον καὶ ἐχωρίσθησαν πᾶς ἐπίμικτος ἐν Ισραηλ (lxx) Neh 13:3 Factum est autem, cum audissent legem, separaverunt omnem alienigenam ab Israël.~(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:3 Now when they had heard the Lawe, they separated from Israel all those that were mixed.(Geneva) Neh 13:3 Da sie nun dies Gesetz hörten, schieden sie alle Fremdlinge von Israel.(dhs) Neh 13:3 So it was, when they had heard the Law, that they separated all the mixed multitude from Israel.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:4 ============ Neh 13:4 Now prior to this, Eliashib the priest, who was appointed over the chambers of the house of our God, being related to Tobiah,(nas) Neh 13:4 καὶ πρὸ τούτου Ελιασιβ ὁ ἱερεὺς οἰκῶν ἐν γαζοφυλακίῳ οἴκου θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἐγγίων Τωβια (lxx) Neh 13:4 Et super hoc erat Eliasib sacerdos, qui fuerat præpositus in gazophylacio domus Dei nostri, et proximus Tobiæ.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:4 And before this had the Priest Eliashib the ouersight of the chamber of the house of our God, being kinsman to Tobiah:(Geneva) Neh 13:4 Und vor dem hatte der Priester Eljasib, der gesetzt war über die Kammern am Hause unsres Gottes, ein Verwandter des Tobia, demselben eine große Kammer gemacht;(dhs) Neh 13:4 Now before this, Eliashib the priest, having authority over the storerooms of the house of our God, was allied with Tobiah.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:5 ============ Neh 13:5 had prepared a large room for him, where formerly they put the grain offerings, the frankincense, the utensils and the tithes of grain, wine and oil prescribed for the Levites, the singers and the gatekeepers, and the contributions for the priests.(nas) Neh 13:5 καὶ ἐποίησεν αὐτῷ γαζοφυλάκιον μέγα καὶ ἐκεῖ ἦσαν πρότερον διδόντες τὴν μανααν καὶ τὸν λίβανον καὶ τὰ σκεύη καὶ τὴν δεκάτην τοῦ σίτου καὶ τοῦ οἴνου καὶ τοῦ ἐλαίου ἐντολὴν τῶν Λευιτῶν καὶ τῶν ᾀδόντων καὶ τῶν πυλωρῶν καὶ ἀπαρχὰς τῶν ἱερέων (lxx) Neh 13:5 Fecit ergo sibi gazophylacium grande, et ibi erant ante eum reponentes munera, et thus, et vasa, et decimam frumenti, vini, et olei, partes Levitarum, et cantorum, et janitorum, et primitias sacerdotales.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:5 And he had made him a great chamber and there had they aforetime layde the offringes, the incense, and the vessels, and the tithes of corne, of wine, and of oyle (appointed for the Leuites, and the singers, and the porters) and the offringes of the Priests.(Geneva) Neh 13:5 und dahin hatten sie zuvor gelegt Speisopfer, Weihrauch, Geräte und die Zehnten vom Getreide, Most und Öl, die Gebühr der Leviten, Sänger und Torhüter, dazu die Hebe der Priester.(dhs) Neh 13:5 And he had prepared for him a large room, where previously they had stored the grain offerings, the frankincense, the articles, the tithes of grain, the new wine and oil, which were commanded to be given to the Levites and singers and gatekeepers, and the offerings for the priests.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:6 ============ Neh 13:6 But during all this time I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I had gone to the king. After some time, however, I asked leave from the king,(nas) Neh 13:6 καὶ ἐν παντὶ τούτῳ οὐκ ἤμην ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ὅτι ἐν ἔτει τριακοστῷ καὶ δευτέρῳ τοῦ Αρθασασθα βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος ἦλθον πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα καὶ μετὰ τέλος ἡμερῶν ᾐτησάμην παρὰ τοῦ βασιλέως (lxx) Neh 13:6 In omnibus autem his non fui in Jerusalem, quia anno trigesimo secundo Artaxerxis regis Babylonis veni ad regem, et in fine dierum rogavi regem.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:6 But in all this time was not I in Ierusalem: for in the two and thirtieth yere of Artahshashte King of Babel, came I vnto the King, and after certaine dayes I obteined of the King.(Geneva) Neh 13:6 Aber bei diesem allem war ich nicht zu Jerusalem; denn im zweiunddreißigsten Jahr Arthahsasthas, des Königs zu Babel, kam ich zum König, und nach etlicher Zeit erwarb ich vom König,(dhs) Neh 13:6 But during all this I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I had returned to the king. Then after certain days I obtained leave from the king,(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:7 ============ Neh 13:7 and I came to Jerusalem and learned about the evil that Eliashib had done for Tobiah, by preparing a room for him in the courts of the house of God.(nas) Neh 13:7 καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ συνῆκα ἐν τῇ πονηρίᾳ ᾗ ἐποίησεν Ελισουβ τῷ Τωβια ποιῆσαι αὐτῷ γαζοφυλάκιον ἐν αὐλῇ οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ (lxx) Neh 13:7 Et veni in Jerusalem, et intellexi malum quod fecerat Eliasib Tobiæ, ut faceret ei thesaurum in vestibulis domus Dei.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:7 And when I was come to Ierusalem, I vnderstood the euil that Eliashib had done for Tobiah, in that hee had made him a chamber in the court of the house of God,(Geneva) Neh 13:7 daß ich gen Jerusalem zog. Und ich merkte, daß nicht gut war, was Eljasib an Tobia getan hatte, da er sich eine Kammer machte im Hofe am Hause Gottes;(dhs) Neh 13:7 and I came to Jerusalem and discovered the evil that Eliashib had done for Tobiah, in preparing a room for him in the courts of the house of God.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:8 ============ Neh 13:8 It was very displeasing to me, so I threw all of Tobiah's household goods out of the room.(nas) Neh 13:8 καὶ πονηρόν μοι ἐφάνη σφόδρα καὶ ἔρριψα πάντα τὰ σκεύη οἴκου Τωβια ἔξω ἀπὸ τοῦ γαζοφυλακίου (lxx) Neh 13:8 Et malum mihi visum est valde. Et projeci vasa domus Tobiæ foras de gazophylacio:(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:8 And it grieued me sore: therefore I cast forth all the vessels of the house of Tobiah out of the chamber.(Geneva) Neh 13:8 und es verdroß mich sehr, und ich warf alle Geräte vom Hause hinaus vor die Kammer(dhs) Neh 13:8 And it grieved me bitterly; therefore I threw all the household goods of Tobiah out of the room.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:9 ============ Neh 13:9 Then I gave an order and they cleansed the rooms; and I returned there the utensils of the house of God with the grain offerings and the frankincense. (nas) Neh 13:9 καὶ εἶπα καὶ ἐκαθάρισαν τὰ γαζοφυλάκια καὶ ἐπέστρεψα ἐκεῖ σκεύη οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ τὴν μαναα καὶ τὸν λίβανον (lxx) Neh 13:9 præcepique et emundaverunt gazophylacia: et retuli ibi vasa domus Dei, sacrificium, et thus.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:9 And I commanded them to clense ye chambers: and thither brought I againe the vessels of the house of God with the meate offring and the incense.(Geneva) Neh 13:9 und hieß, daß sie die Kammern reinigten; und ich brachte wieder dahin das Gerät des Hauses Gottes, das Speisopfer und den Weihrauch.(dhs) Neh 13:9 Then I commanded them to cleanse the rooms; and I brought back into them the articles of the house of God, with the grain offering and the frankincense.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:10 ============ Neh 13:10 I also discovered that the portions of the Levites had not been given them, so that the Levites and the singers who performed the service had gone away, each to his own field.(nas) Neh 13:10 καὶ ἔγνων ὅτι μερίδες τῶν Λευιτῶν οὐκ ἐδόθησαν καὶ ἐφύγοσαν ἀνὴρ εἰς ἀγρὸν αὐτοῦ οἱ Λευῖται καὶ οἱ ᾄδοντες ποιοῦντες τὸ ἔργον (lxx) Neh 13:10 Et cognovi quod partes Levitarum non fuissent datæ, et fugisset unusquisque in regionem suam de Levitis, et cantoribus, et de his qui ministrabant:(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:10 And I perceiued that the portions of the Leuites had not bene giuen, and that euery one was fled to his lande, euen the Leuites and singers that executed the worke.(Geneva) Neh 13:10 Und ich erfuhr, daß der Leviten Teile ihnen nicht gegeben waren, derhalben die Leviten und die Sänger, die das Geschäft des Amts ausrichten sollten, geflohen waren, ein jeglicher zu seinen Acker.(dhs) Neh 13:10 I also realized that the portions for the Levites had not been given them; for each of the Levites and the singers who did the work had gone back to his field.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:11 ============ Neh 13:11 So I reprimanded the officials and said, "Why is the house of God forsaken?" Then I gathered them together and restored them to their posts.(nas) Neh 13:11 καὶ ἐμαχεσάμην τοῖς στρατηγοῖς καὶ εἶπα διὰ τί ἐγκατελείφθη ὁ οἶκος τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ συνήγαγον αὐτοὺς καὶ ἔστησα αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τῇ στάσει αὐτῶν (lxx) Neh 13:11 et egi causam adversus magistratus, et dixi: Quare dereliquimus domum Dei? et congregavi eos, et feci stare in stationibus suis.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:11 Then reproued I the rulers and sayd, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I assembled them, and set them in their place.(Geneva) Neh 13:11 Da schalt ich die Obersten und sprach: Warum ist das Haus Gottes verlassen? Aber ich versammelte sie und stellte sie an ihre Stätte.(dhs) Neh 13:11 So I contended with the rulers, and said, "Why is the house of God forsaken?" And I gathered them together and set them in their place.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:12 ============ Neh 13:12 All Judah then brought the tithe of the grain, wine and oil into the storehouses.(nas) Neh 13:12 καὶ πᾶς Ιουδα ἤνεγκαν δεκάτην τοῦ πυροῦ καὶ τοῦ οἴνου καὶ τοῦ ἐλαίου εἰς τοὺς θησαυροὺς (lxx) Neh 13:12 Et omnis Juda apportabat decimam frumenti, vini, et olei, in horrea.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:12 Then brought all Iudah the tithes of corne and of wine, and of oyle vnto the treasures.(Geneva) Neh 13:12 Da brachte ganz Juda den Zehnten vom Getreide, Most und Öl zum Vorrat.(dhs) Neh 13:12 Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil to the storehouse.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:13 ============ Neh 13:13 In charge of the storehouses I appointed Shelemiah the priest, Zadok the scribe, and Pedaiah of the Levites, and in addition to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah; for they were considered reliable, and it was their task to distribute to their kinsmen.(nas) Neh 13:13 ἐπὶ χεῖρα Σελεμια τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ Σαδδουκ τοῦ γραμματέως καὶ Φαδαια ἀπὸ τῶν Λευιτῶν καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτῶν Αναν υἱὸς Ζακχουρ υἱὸς Μαθανια ὅτι πιστοὶ ἐλογίσθησαν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς μερίζειν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτῶν (lxx) Neh 13:13 Et constituimus super horrea Selemiam sacerdotem, et Sadoc scribam, et Phadaiam de Levitis, et juxta eos Hanan filium Zachur, filium Mathaniæ: quoniam fideles comprobati sunt, et ipsis creditæ sunt partes fratrum suorum.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:13 And I made treasurers ouer the treasures, Shelemiah the Priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Leuites, Pedaiah, and vnder their hande Hanan the sonne of Zaccur the sonne of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithfull, and their office was to distribute vnto their brethren.(Geneva) Neh 13:13 Und ich setzte über die Vorräte Selemja, den Priester, und Zadok, den Schriftgelehrten, und aus den Leviten Pedaja und ihnen zur Hand Hanan, den Sohn Sakkurs, des Sohnes Matthanjas; denn sie wurden für treu gehalten, und ihnen ward befohlen, ihren Brüdern auszuteilen.(dhs) Neh 13:13 And I appointed as treasurers over the storehouse Shelemiah the priest and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah; and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah; for they were considered faithful, and their task was to distribute to their brethren.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:14 ============ Neh 13:14 Remember me for this, O my God, and do not blot out my loyal deeds which I have performed for the house of my God and its services. (nas) Neh 13:14 μνήσθητί μου ὁ θεός ἐν ταύτῃ καὶ μὴ ἐξαλειφθήτω ἔλεός μου ὃ ἐποίησα ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ (lxx) Neh 13:14 Memento mei, Deus meus, pro hoc, et ne deleas miserationes meas quas feci in domo Dei mei, et in cæremoniis ejus.~(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:14 Remember me, O my God, herein, & wipe not out my kindenes that I haue shewed on the house of my God, and on the offices thereof.(Geneva) Neh 13:14 Gedenke, mein Gott, mir daran und tilge nicht aus meine Barmherzigkeit, die ich an meines Gottes Hause und an seinem Dienst getan habe!(dhs) Neh 13:14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for its services!(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:15 ============ Neh 13:15 In those days I saw in Judah some who were treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sacks of grain and loading them on donkeys, as well as wine, grapes, figs and all kinds of loads, and they brought them into Jerusalem on the sabbath day. So I admonished them on the day they sold food.(nas) Neh 13:15 ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις εἶδον ἐν Ιουδα πατοῦντας ληνοὺς ἐν τῷ σαββάτῳ καὶ φέροντας δράγματα καὶ ἐπιγεμίζοντας ἐπὶ τοὺς ὄνους καὶ οἶνον καὶ σταφυλὴν καὶ σῦκα καὶ πᾶν βάσταγμα καὶ φέροντας εἰς Ιερουσαλημ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ σαββάτου καὶ ἐπεμαρτυράμην ἐν ἡμέρᾳ πράσεως αὐτῶν (lxx) Neh 13:15 In diebus illis vidi in Juda calcantes torcularia in sabbato, portantes acervos, et onerantes super asinos vinum, et uvas, et ficus, et omne onus, et inferentes in Jerusalem, die sabbati. Et contestatus sum ut in die qua vendere liceret, venderent.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:15 In those dayes saw I in Iudah them, that trode wine presses on ye Sabbath, & that brought in sheaues, and which laded asses also with wine, grapes, and figges, and all burdens, and brought them into Ierusalem vpon the Sabbath day: and I protested to them in the day that they sold vitailes.(Geneva) Neh 13:15 Zur selben Zeit sah ich in Juda Kelter treten am Sabbat und Garben hereinbringen und Esel, beladen mit Wein, Trauben, Feigen und allerlei Last, gen Jerusalem bringen am Sabbattag. Und ich zeugte wider sie des Tages, da sie die Nahrung verkauften.(dhs) Neh 13:15 In those days I saw people in Judah treading wine presses on the Sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and loading donkeys with wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. And I warned them about the day on which they were selling provisions.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:16 ============ Neh 13:16 Also men of Tyre were living there who imported fish and all kinds of merchandise, and sold them to the sons of Judah on the sabbath, even in Jerusalem.(nas) Neh 13:16 καὶ ἐκάθισαν ἐν αὐτῇ φέροντες ἰχθὺν καὶ πᾶσαν πρᾶσιν πωλοῦντες ἐν τῷ σαββάτῳ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ιουδα καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Neh 13:16 Et Tyrii habitaverunt in ea, inferentes pisces, et omnia venalia: et vendebant in sabbatis filiis Juda in Jerusalem.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:16 There dwelt men of Tyrus also therein, which brought fish and all wares, and solde on the Sabbath vnto the children of Iudah euen in Ierusalem.(Geneva) Neh 13:16 Es wohnten auch Tyrer darin; die brachten Fische und allerlei Ware und verkauften's am Sabbat den Kinder Juda's in Jerusalem.(dhs) Neh 13:16 Men of Tyre dwelt there also, who brought in fish and all kinds of goods, and sold them on the Sabbath to the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:17 ============ Neh 13:17 Then I reprimanded the nobles of Judah and said to them, "What is this evil thing you are doing, by profaning the sabbath day?(nas) Neh 13:17 καὶ ἐμαχεσάμην τοῖς υἱοῖς Ιουδα τοῖς ἐλευθέροις καὶ εἶπα αὐτοῖς τίς ὁ λόγος οὗτος ὁ πονηρός ὃν ὑμεῖς ποιεῖτε καὶ βεβηλοῦτε τὴν ἡμέραν τοῦ σαββάτου (lxx) Neh 13:17 Et objurgavi optimates Juda, et dixi eis: Quæ est hæc res mala quam vos facitis, et profanatis diem sabbati?(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:17 Then reprooued I the rulers of Iudah, and sayd vnto them, What euil thing is this that yee doe, and breake the Sabbath day?(Geneva) Neh 13:17 Da schalt ich die Obersten in Juda und sprach zu ihnen: Was ist das für ein böses Ding, das ihr tut, und brecht den Sabbattag?(dhs) Neh 13:17 Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said to them, "What evil thing is this that you do, by which you profane the Sabbath day?(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:18 ============ Neh 13:18 Did not your fathers do the same, so that our God brought on us and on this city all this trouble? Yet you are adding to the wrath on Israel by profaning the sabbath."(nas) Neh 13:18 οὐχὶ οὕτως ἐποίησαν οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν καὶ ἤνεγκεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν καὶ ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς πάντα τὰ κακὰ ταῦτα καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν ταύτην καὶ ὑμεῖς προστίθετε ὀργὴν ἐπὶ Ισραηλ βεβηλῶσαι τὸ σάββατον (lxx) Neh 13:18 numquid non hæc fecerunt patres nostri, et adduxit Deus noster super nos omne malum hoc, et super civitatem hanc? et vos additis iracundiam super Israël violando sabbatum.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:18 Did not your fathers thus, and our God brought all this plague vpon vs, and vpon this citie? yet yee increase the wrath vpon Israel, in breaking the Sabbath.(Geneva) Neh 13:18 Taten nicht eure Väter also, und unser Gott führte all dies Unglück über uns und über diese Stadt? Und ihr macht des Zorns über Israel noch mehr, daß ihr den Sabbat brecht!(dhs) Neh 13:18 Did not your fathers do thus, and did not our God bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Yet you bring added wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath."(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 13:19 ============ Neh 13:19 It came about that just as it grew dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut and that they should not open them until after the sabbath. (nas) Neh 13:22 καὶ εἶπα τοῖς Λευίταις οἳ ἦσαν καθαριζόμενοι καὶ ἐρχόμενοι φυλάσσοντες τὰς πύλας ἁγιάζειν τὴν ἡμέραν τοῦ σαββάτου πρὸς ταῦτα μνήσθητί μου ὁ θεός καὶ φεῖσαί μου κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τοῦ ἐλέους σου (lxx) Neh 13:22 Dixi quoque Levitis ut mundarentur, et venirent ad custodiendas portas, et sanctificandam diem sabbati: et pro hoc ergo memento mei, Deus meus, et parce mihi secundum multitudinem miserationum tuarum.~(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:22 And I sayde vnto the Leuites, that they should clense themselues, and that they shoulde come and keepe the gates, to sanctifie the Sabbath day. Yet among the many nations there was no king like him, and he was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel; nevertheless the foreign women caused even him to sin.(nas) Neh 13:26 οὐχ οὕτως ἥμαρτεν Σαλωμων βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐν ἔθνεσιν πολλοῖς οὐκ ἦν βασιλεὺς ὅμοιος αὐτῷ καὶ ἀγαπώμενος τῷ θεῷ ἦν καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὸν ὁ θεὸς εἰς βασιλέα ἐπὶ πάντα Ισραηλ καὶ τοῦτον ἐξέκλιναν αἱ γυναῖκες αἱ ἀλλότριαι (lxx) Neh 13:26 Numquid non in hujuscemodi re peccavit Salomon rex Israël? et certe in gentibus multis non erat rex similis ei, et dilectus Deo suo erat, et posuit eum Deus regem super omnem Israël: et ipsum ergo duxerunt ad peccatum mulieres alienigenæ.(vulgate) Nehemiah 13:26 Did not Salomon the king of Israel sinne by these thinges? yet among many nations was there no King like him: for he was beloued of his God, and God had made him King ouer Israel: yet strange women caused him to sinne.(Geneva) Neh 13:26 Hat nicht Salomo, der König Israels, daran gesündigt?
