Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 7:1 ============ Isa 7:1 Now it came about in the days of Ahaz, the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to wage war against it, but could not conquer it. (nas) Isa 7:1 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Αχαζ τοῦ Ιωαθαμ τοῦ υἱοῦ Οζιου βασιλέως Ιουδα ἀνέβη Ραασσων βασιλεὺς Αραμ καὶ Φακεε υἱὸς Ρομελιου βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ πολεμῆσαι αὐτὴν καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνήθησαν πολιορκῆσαι αὐτήν (lxx) Isa 7:1 Et factum est in diebus Achaz, filii Joathan, filii Oziæ, regis Juda, ascendit Rasin, rex Syriæ, et Phacee, filius Romeliæ, rex Israël, in Jerusalem, ad præliandum contra eam: et non potuerunt(vulgate) Isaiah 7:1 And in the dayes of Ahaz, the sonne of Iotham, the sonne of Vzziah king of Iudah, Rezin the King of Aram came vp, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, to Ierusalem to fight against it, but he could not ouercome it.(Geneva) Isa 7:1 Es begab sich zur Zeit Ahas, des Sohnes Jothams, des Sohnes Usias, des Königs in Juda, zog herauf Rezin der König von Syrien, und Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, der König Israels, gen Jerusalem, gegen dasselbe zu streiten, konnten es aber nicht gewinnen.(dhs) Isa 7:1 Now it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to make war against it, but could not prevail against it.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:2 ============ Isa 7:2 When it was reported to the house of David, saying, "The Arameans have camped in Ephraim," his heart and the hearts of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake with the wind. (nas) Isa 7:2 καὶ ἀνηγγέλη εἰς τὸν οἶκον Δαυιδ λέγοντες συνεφώνησεν Αραμ πρὸς τὸν Εφραιμ καὶ ἐξέστη ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἡ ψυχὴ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ ὃν τρόπον ὅταν ἐν δρυμῷ ξύλον ὑπὸ πνεύματος σαλευθῇ (lxx) Isa 7:2 debellare eam. Et nuntiaverunt domui David, dicentes: Requievit Syria super Ephraim. Et commotum est cor ejus, et cor populi ejus, sicut moventur ligna silvarum a facie venti.(vulgate) Isaiah 7:2 And it was tolde the house of Dauid, saying, Aram is ioyned with Ephraim: therefore his heart was moued, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are moued by the winde.(Geneva) Isa 7:2 Da ward dem Hause David angesagt: Die Syrer haben sich gelagert in Ephraim. Da bebte ihm das Herz und das Herz seines Volkes, wie die Bäume im Walde beben vom Winde.(dhs) Isa 7:2 And it was told to the house of David, saying, "Syria's forces are deployed in Ephraim." So his heart and the heart of his people were moved as the trees of the woods are moved with the wind.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:3 ============ Isa 7:3 Then the Lord said to Isaiah, "Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and your son Shear-jashub, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway to the fuller's field, (nas) Isa 7:3 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Ησαιαν ἔξελθε εἰς συνάντησιν Αχαζ σὺ καὶ ὁ καταλειφθεὶς Ιασουβ ὁ υἱός σου πρὸς τὴν κολυμβήθραν τῆς ἄνω ὁδοῦ τοῦ ἀγροῦ τοῦ γναφέως (lxx) Isa 7:3 Et dixit Dominus ad Isaiam: Egredere in occursum Achaz, tu et qui derelictus est Jasub, filius tuus, ad extremum aquæductus piscinæ superioris in via agri Fullonis;(vulgate) Isaiah 7:3 Then sayde the Lorde vnto Isaiah, Goe foorth nowe to meete Ahaz (thou and Sheariashub thy sonne) at the ende of the conduit of the vpper poole, in the path of the fullers fielde,(Geneva) Isa 7:3 Aber der HERR sprach zu Jesaja: Gehe hinaus, Ahas entgegen, du und dein Sohn Sear-Jasub, an das Ende der Wasserleitung des oberen Teiches, am Wege beim Acker des Walkmüllers,(dhs) Isa 7:3 Then the Lord said to Isaiah, "Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and Shear-Jashub your son, at the end of the aqueduct from the upper pool, on the highway to the Fuller's Field,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:4 ============ Isa 7:4 and say to him, 'Take care and be calm, have no fear and do not be fainthearted because of these two stubs of smoldering firebrands, on account of the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram and the son of Remaliah. (nas) Isa 7:4 καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτῷ φύλαξαι τοῦ ἡσυχάσαι καὶ μὴ φοβοῦ μηδὲ ἡ ψυχή σου ἀσθενείτω ἀπὸ τῶν δύο ξύλων τῶν δαλῶν τῶν καπνιζομένων τούτων ὅταν γὰρ ὀργὴ τοῦ θυμοῦ μου γένηται πάλιν ἰάσομαι (lxx) Isa 7:4 et dices ad eum: [Vide ut sileas; noli timere, et cor tuum ne formidet a duabus caudis titionum fumigantium istorum, in ira furoris Rasin, regis Syriæ, et filii Romeliæ;(vulgate) Isaiah 7:4 And say vnto him, Take heede, and be still: feare not, neither be faint hearted for the two tailes of these smoking firebrands, for the furious wrath of Rezin and of Aram, and of Remaliahs sonne:(Geneva) Isa 7:4 und sprich zu ihm: Hüte dich und sei still; fürchte dich nicht, und dein Herz sei unverzagt vor diesen zwei rauchenden Löschbränden, vor dem Zorn Rezins und der Syrer und des Sohnes Remaljas,(dhs) Isa 7:4 and say to him: 'Take heed, and be quiet; do not fear or be fainthearted for these two stubs of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and the son of Remaliah.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:5 ============ Isa 7:5 Because Aram, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has planned evil against you, saying, (nas) Isa 7:5 καὶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ Αραμ καὶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ Ρομελιου ὅτι ἐβουλεύσαντο βουλὴν πονηρὰν περὶ σοῦ λέγοντες (lxx) Isa 7:5 eo quod consilium inierit contra te Syria in malum, Ephraim, et filius Romeliæ, dicentes:(vulgate) Isaiah 7:5 Because Aram hath taken wicked counsell against thee, and Ephraim, and Remaliahs sonne, saying,(Geneva) Isa 7:5 daß die Syrer wider dich einen bösen Ratschlag gemacht haben samt Ephraim und dem Sohn Remaljas und sagen:(dhs) Isa 7:5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah have plotted evil against you, saying,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:6 ============ Isa 7:6 "Let us go up against Judah and terrorize it, and make for ourselves a breach in its walls and set up the son of Tabeel as king in the midst of it,"(nas) Isa 7:6 ἀναβησόμεθα εἰς τὴν Ιουδαίαν καὶ συλλαλήσαντες αὐτοῖς ἀποστρέψομεν αὐτοὺς πρὸς ἡμᾶς καὶ βασιλεύσομεν αὐτῆς τὸν υἱὸν Ταβεηλ (lxx) Isa 7:6 Ascendamus ad Judam, et suscitemus eum, et avellamus eum ad nos, et ponamus regem in medio ejus filium Tabeel.(vulgate) Isaiah 7:6 Let vs goe vp against Iudah, and let vs waken them vp, and make a breach therein for vs, and set a King in the mids thereof, euen the sonne of Tabeal.(Geneva) Isa 7:6 Wir wollen hinauf nach Juda und es erschrecken und hineinbrechen und zum König darin machen den Sohn Tabeels.(dhs) Isa 7:6 "Let us go up against Judah and trouble it, and let us make a gap in its wall for ourselves, and set a king over them, the son of Tabel"--(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:7 ============ Isa 7:7 thus says the Lord God. (nas) Isa 7:7 τάδε λέγει κύριος σαβαωθ οὐ μὴ ἐμμείνῃ ἡ βουλὴ αὕτη οὐδὲ ἔσται (lxx) Isa 7:7 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Non stabit, et non erit istud;(vulgate) Isaiah 7:7 Thus sayth the Lorde God, It shall not stand, neither shall it be.(Geneva) Isa 7:7 Denn also spricht der HERR HERR: Es soll nicht bestehen noch also gehen;(dhs) Isa 7:7 thus says the Lord God: "It shall not stand, Nor shall it come to pass.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:8 ============ Isa 7:8 For the head of Aram is Damascus and the head of Damascus is Rezin (now within another 65 years Ephraim will be shattered, so that it is no longer a people), (nas) Isa 7:8 ἀλλ᾽ ἡ κεφαλὴ Αραμ Δαμασκός ἀλλ᾽ ἔτι ἑξήκοντα καὶ πέντε ἐτῶν ἐκλείψει ἡ βασιλεία Εφραιμ ἀπὸ λαοῦ (lxx) Isa 7:8 sed caput Syriæ Damascus, et caput Damasci Rasin; et adhuc sexaginta et quinque anni, et desinet Ephraim esse populus;(vulgate) Isaiah 7:8 For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin: and within fiue and threescore yeere, Ephraim shalbe destroyed from being a people.(Geneva) Isa 7:8 sondern wie Damaskus das Haupt ist in Syrien, so soll Rezin das Haupt zu Damaskus sein. Und über fünfundsechzig Jahre soll es mit Ephraim aus sein, daß sie nicht mehr ein Volk seien.(dhs) Isa 7:8 For the head of Syria is Damascus, And the head of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be broken, So that it will not be a people.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:9 ============ Isa 7:9 and the head of Ephraim is Samaria and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you will not believe, you surely shall not last."'" Si non credideritis, non permanebitis.](vulgate) Isaiah 7:9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliahs sonne. ' "(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:10 ============ Isa 7:10 Then the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying, (nas) Isa 7:10 καὶ προσέθετο κύριος λαλῆσαι τῷ Αχαζ λέγων (lxx) Isa 7:10 Et adjecit Dominus loqui ad Achaz, dicens:(vulgate) Isaiah 7:10 And the Lorde spake againe vnto Ahaz, saying,(Geneva) Isa 7:10 Und der HERR redete abermals zu Ahas und sprach:(dhs) Isa 7:10 Moreover the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:11 ============ Isa 7:11 "Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; make it deep as Sheol or high as heaven."(nas) Isa 7:11 αἴτησαι σεαυτῷ σημεῖον παρὰ κυρίου θεοῦ σου εἰς βάθος ἢ εἰς ὕψος (lxx) Isa 7:11 Pete tibi signum a Domino Deo tuo, in profundum inferni, sive in excelsum supra.(vulgate) Isaiah 7:11 Aske a signe for thee of the Lorde thy God: aske it, either in the depth beneath or in the height aboue.(Geneva) Isa 7:11 Fordere dir ein Zeichen vom HERRN, deinem Gott, es sei unten in der Hölle oder droben in der Höhe!(dhs) Isa 7:11 "Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:12 ============ Isa 7:12 But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!"(nas) Isa 7:12 καὶ εἶπεν Αχαζ οὐ μὴ αἰτήσω οὐδ᾽ οὐ μὴ πειράσω κύριον (lxx) Isa 7:12 Et dixit Achaz: Non petam, et non tentabo Dominum.(vulgate) Isaiah 7:12 But Ahaz sayd, I wil not aske, neither will I tempt the Lord.(Geneva) Isa 7:12 Aber Ahas sprach: Ich will's nicht fordern, daß ich den HERRN nicht versuche.(dhs) Isa 7:12 But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!"(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:13 ============ Isa 7:13 Then he said, "Listen now, O house of David! Is it too slight a thing for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God as well? (nas) Isa 7:13 καὶ εἶπεν ἀκούσατε δή οἶκος Δαυιδ μὴ μικρὸν ὑμῖν ἀγῶνα παρέχειν ἀνθρώποις καὶ πῶς κυρίῳ παρέχετε ἀγῶνα (lxx) Isa 7:13 Et dixit: [Audite ergo, domus David. Numquid parum vobis est molestos esse hominibus, quia molesti estis et Deo meo?(vulgate) Isaiah 7:13 Then he sayd, Heare you nowe, O house of Dauid, Is it a small thing for you to grieue men, that ye will also grieue my God?(Geneva) Isa 7:13 Da sprach er: Wohlan, so höret, ihr vom Hause David: Ist's euch zu wenig, daß ihr die Leute beleidigt, ihr müßt auch meinen Gott beleidigen?(dhs) Isa 7:13 Then he said, "Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:14 ============ Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel. (nas) Isa 7:14 διὰ τοῦτο δώσει κύριος αὐτὸς ὑμῖν σημεῖον ἰδοὺ ἡ παρθένος ἐν γαστρὶ ἕξει καὶ τέξεται υἱόν καὶ καλέσεις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Εμμανουηλ (lxx) Isa 7:14 Propter hoc dabit Dominus ipse vobis signum: ecce virgo concipiet, et pariet filium, et vocabitur nomen ejus Emmanuel.(vulgate) Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lorde himselfe will giue you a signe. (nas) Isa 7:15 βούτυρον καὶ μέλι φάγεται πρὶν ἢ γνῶναι αὐτὸν ἢ προελέσθαι πονηρὰ ἐκλέξεται τὸ ἀγαθόν (lxx) Isa 7:15 Butyrum et mel comedet, ut sciat reprobare malum, et eligere bonum.(vulgate) Isaiah 7:15 Butter and hony shal he eate, till he haue knowledge to refuse the euill, and to chuse the good.(Geneva) Isa 7:15 Butter und Honig wird er essen, wann er weiß, Böses zu verwerfen und Gutes zu erwählen.(dhs) Isa 7:15 Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:16 ============ Isa 7:16 For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken. (nas) Isa 7:16 διότι πρὶν ἢ γνῶναι τὸ παιδίον ἀγαθὸν ἢ κακὸν ἀπειθεῖ πονηρίᾳ τοῦ ἐκλέξασθαι τὸ ἀγαθόν καὶ καταλειφθήσεται ἡ γῆ ἣν σὺ φοβῇ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν δύο βασιλέων (lxx) Isa 7:16 Quia antequam sciat puer reprobare malum et eligere bonum, derelinquetur terra quam tu detestaris a facie duorum regum suorum.(vulgate) Isaiah 7:16 For afore the childe shall haue knowledge to eschew the euill, and to chuse the good, the land, that thou abhorrest, shalbe forsaken of both her Kings.(Geneva) Isa 7:16 Denn ehe der Knabe lernt Böses verwerfen und Gutes erwählen, wird das Land verödet sein, vor dessen zwei Königen dir graut.(dhs) Isa 7:16 For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:17 ============ Isa 7:17 The Lord will bring on you, on your people, and on your father's house such days as have never come since the day that Ephraim separated from Judah, the king of Assyria."(nas) Isa 7:17 ἀλλὰ ἐπάξει ὁ θεὸς ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν σου καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ πατρός σου ἡμέρας αἳ οὔπω ἥκασιν ἀφ᾽ ἧς ἡμέρας ἀφεῖλεν Εφραιμ ἀπὸ Ιουδα τὸν βασιλέα τῶν Ἀσσυρίων (lxx) Isa 7:17 Adducet Dominus super te, et super populum tuum, et super domum patris tui, dies qui non venerunt a diebus separationis Ephraim a Juda, cum rege Assyriorum.(vulgate) Isaiah 7:17 The Lord shall bring vpon thee, and vpon thy people, and vpon thy fathers house (the dayes that haue not come from the day that Ephraim departed from Iudah) euen the King of Asshur.(Geneva) Isa 7:17 Aber der HERR wird über dich, über dein Volk und über deines Vaters Haus Tage kommen lassen, die nicht gekommen sind, seit der Zeit, da Ephraim von Juda geschieden ist, durch den König von Assyrien.(dhs) Isa 7:17 The Lord will bring the king of Assyria upon you and your people and your father's house--days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:18 ============ Isa 7:18 In that day the Lord will whistle for the fly that is in the remotest part of the rivers of Egypt and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria. (nas) Isa 7:18 καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ συριεῖ κύριος μυίαις ὃ κυριεύει μέρους ποταμοῦ Αἰγύπτου καὶ τῇ μελίσσῃ ἥ ἐστιν ἐν χώρᾳ Ἀσσυρίων (lxx) Isa 7:18 Et erit in die illa: sibilabit Dominus muscæ quæ est in extremo fluminum Ægypti, et api quæ est in terra Assur;(vulgate) Isaiah 7:18 And in that day shall the Lorde hisse for the flie that is at the vttermost part of the floods of Egypt, and for the bee which is in the lande of Asshur,(Geneva) Isa 7:18 Denn zu der Zeit wird der HERR zischen der Fliege am Ende der Wasser in Ägypten und der Biene im Lande Assur,(dhs) Isa 7:18 And it shall come to pass in that day That the Lord will whistle for the fly That is in the farthest part of the rivers of Egypt, And for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:19 ============ Isa 7:19 They will all come and settle on the steep ravines, on the ledges of the cliffs, on all the thorn bushes and on all the watering places. (nas) Isa 7:19 καὶ ἐλεύσονται πάντες καὶ ἀναπαύσονται ἐν ταῖς φάραγξι τῆς χώρας καὶ ἐν ταῖς τρώγλαις τῶν πετρῶν καὶ εἰς τὰ σπήλαια καὶ εἰς πᾶσαν ῥαγάδα καὶ ἐν παντὶ ξύλῳ (lxx) Isa 7:19 et venient, et requiescent omnes in torrentibus vallium, et in cavernis petrarum, et in omnibus frutetis, et in universis foraminibus.(vulgate) Isaiah 7:19 And they shall come and shall light all in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rockes, and vpon all thorny places, and vpon all bushy places.(Geneva) Isa 7:19 daß sie kommen und alle sich legen an die trockenen Bäche und in die Steinklüfte und in alle Hecken und in alle Büsche.(dhs) Isa 7:19 They will come, and all of them will rest In the desolate valleys and in the clefts of the rocks, And on all thorns and in all pastures.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:20 ============ Isa 7:20 In that day the Lord will shave with a razor, hired from regions beyond the Euphrates (that is, with the king of Assyria), the head and the hair of the legs; and it will also remove the beard. (nas) Isa 7:20 ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ξυρήσει κύριος τῷ ξυρῷ τῷ μεγάλῳ καὶ μεμεθυσμένῳ ὅ ἐστιν πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ βασιλέως Ἀσσυρίων τὴν κεφαλὴν καὶ τὰς τρίχας τῶν ποδῶν καὶ τὸν πώγωνα ἀφελεῖ (lxx) Isa 7:20 In die illa radet Dominus in novacula conducta in his qui trans flumen sunt, in rege Assyriorum, caput et pilos pedum, et barbam universam.(vulgate) Isaiah 7:20 In that day shall the Lorde shaue with a rasor that is hired, euen by them beyond the Riuer, by the King of Asshur, the head and the heare of the feete, and it shall consume the beard.(Geneva) Isa 7:20 Zu derselben Zeit wird der HERR das Haupt und die Haare an den Füßen abscheren und den Bart abnehmen durch ein gemietetes Schermesser, nämlich durch die, so jenseit des Stromes sind, durch den König von Assyrien.(dhs) Isa 7:20 In the same day the Lord will shave with a hired razor, With those from beyond the River, with the king of Assyria, The head and the hair of the legs, And will also remove the beard.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:21 ============ Isa 7:21 Now in that day a man may keep alive a heifer and a pair of sheep; (nas) Isa 7:21 καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ θρέψει ἄνθρωπος δάμαλιν βοῶν καὶ δύο πρόβατα (lxx) Isa 7:21 Et erit in die illa: nutriet homo vaccam boum, et duas oves,(vulgate) Isaiah 7:21 And in the same day shall a man nourish a yong kowe, and two sheepe.(Geneva) Isa 7:21 Zu derselben Zeit wird ein Mann eine junge Kuh und zwei Schafe ziehen(dhs) Isa 7:21 It shall be in that day That a man will keep alive a young cow and two sheep;(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 7:22 ============ Isa 7:22 and because of the abundance of the milk produced he will eat curds, for everyone that is left within the land will eat curds and honey.
