A lioness among lions! She lay down among young lions, She reared her cubs. (nas) Eze 19:2 καὶ ἐρεῖς τί ἡ μήτηρ σου σκύμνος ἐν μέσῳ λεόντων ἐγενήθη ἐν μέσῳ λεόντων ἐπλήθυνεν σκύμνους αὐτῆς (lxx) Eze 19:2 et dices: [Quare mater tua leæna inter leones cubavit? in medio leunculorum enutrivit catulos suos?(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:2 And say, Wherefore lay thy mother as a lyonesse among the lyons? she nourished her yong ones among the lyons whelps,(Geneva) Eze 19:2 und sprich: Warum liegt deine Mutter, die Löwin, unter den Löwen und erzieht ihre Jungen unter den Löwen?(dhs) Eze 19:2 and say: 'What is your mother? (nas) Eze 19:3 καὶ ἀπεπήδησεν εἷς τῶν σκύμνων αὐτῆς λέων ἐγένετο καὶ ἔμαθεν τοῦ ἁρπάζειν ἁρπάγματα ἀνθρώπους ἔφαγεν (lxx) Eze 19:3 Et eduxit unum de leunculis suis, et leo factus est: et didicit capere prædam, hominemque comedere.(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:3 And she brought vp one of her whelps, and it became a lyon, and it learned to catch the praye, and it deuoured men.(Geneva) Eze 19:3 Deren eines zog sie auf, und ward ein junger Löwe daraus, der gewöhnte sich, die Leute zu zerreißen und zu fressen.(dhs) Eze 19:3 She brought up one of her cubs, And he became a young lion; He learned to catch prey, And he devoured men.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 19:4 ============ Eze 19:4 'Then nations heard about him; He was captured in their pit, And they brought him with hooks To the land of Egypt. (nas) Eze 19:5 καὶ εἶδεν ὅτι ἀπῶσται ἀπ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ ἀπώλετο ἡ ὑπόστασις αὐτῆς καὶ ἔλαβεν ἄλλον ἐκ τῶν σκύμνων αὐτῆς λέοντα ἔταξεν αὐτόν (lxx) Eze 19:5 Quæ cum vidisset quoniam infirmata est, et periit exspectatio ejus, tulit unum de leunculis suis; leonem constituit eum.(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:5 Nowe when she sawe, that she had waited and her hope was lost, she tooke another of her whelps, and made him a lyon.(Geneva) Eze 19:5 Da nun die Mutter sah, daß ihre Hoffnung verloren war, da sie lange gehofft hatte, nahm sie ein anderes aus ihren Jungen heraus und machte einen jungen Löwen daraus.(dhs) Eze 19:5 'When she saw that she waited, that her hope was lost, She took another of her cubs and made him a young lion.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 19:6 ============ Eze 19:6 'And he walked about among the lions; He became a young lion, He learned to tear his prey; He devoured men. (nas) Eze 19:6 καὶ ἀνεστρέφετο ἐν μέσῳ λεόντων λέων ἐγένετο καὶ ἔμαθεν ἁρπάζειν ἁρπάγματα ἀνθρώπους ἔφαγεν (lxx) Eze 19:6 Qui incedebat inter leones, et factus est leo: et didicit prædam capere, et homines devorare:(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:6 Which went among the lyons, and became a lyon, and learned to catch the praye, and he deuoured men.(Geneva) Eze 19:6 Da er unter den Löwen wandelte ward er ein junger Löwe; der gewöhnte sich auch, die Leute zu zerreißen und zu fressen.(dhs) Eze 19:6 He roved among the lions, And became a young lion; He learned to catch prey; He devoured men.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 19:7 ============ Eze 19:7 'He destroyed their fortified towers And laid waste their cities; And the land and its fullness were appalled Because of the sound of his roaring. (nas) Eze 19:7 καὶ ἐνέμετο τῷ θράσει αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰς πόλεις αὐτῶν ἐξηρήμωσεν καὶ ἠφάνισεν γῆν καὶ τὸ πλήρωμα αὐτῆς ἀπὸ φωνῆς ὠρύματος αὐτοῦ (lxx) Eze 19:7 didicit viduas facere, et civitates earum in desertum adducere: et desolata est terra et plenitudo ejus a voce rugitus illius.(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:7 And he knew their widowes, & he destroyed their cities, and the land was wasted, and all that was therein by the noyse of his roaring.(Geneva) Eze 19:7 Er verderbte ihre Paläste und verwüstete ihre Städte, daß das Land und was darin ist, vor der Stimme seines Brüllens sich entsetzte.(dhs) Eze 19:7 He knew their desolate places, And laid waste their cities; The land with its fullness was desolated By the noise of his roaring.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 19:8 ============ Eze 19:8 'Then nations set against him On every side from their provinces, And they spread their net over him; He was captured in their pit. (nas) Eze 19:8 καὶ ἔδωκαν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἔθνη ἐκ χωρῶν κυκλόθεν καὶ ἐξεπέτασαν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν δίκτυα αὐτῶν ἐν διαφθορᾷ αὐτῶν συνελήμφθη (lxx) Eze 19:8 Et convenerunt adversus eum gentes undique de provinciis, et expanderunt super eum rete suum: in vulneribus earum captus est,(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:8 Then the nations set against him on euery side of the countreys, and laide their nets for him: so he was taken in their pit.(Geneva) Eze 19:8 Da legten sich die Heiden aus allen Ländern ringsumher und warfen ein Netz über ihn und fingen ihn in ihren Gruben(dhs) Eze 19:8 Then the nations set against him from the provinces on every side, And spread their net over him; He was trapped in their pit.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 19:9 ============ Eze 19:9 'They put him in a cage with hooks And brought him to the king of Babylon; They brought him in hunting nets So that his voice would be heard no more On the mountains of Israel. (nas) Eze 19:9 καὶ ἔθεντο αὐτὸν ἐν κημῷ καὶ ἐν γαλεάγρᾳ ἦλθεν πρὸς βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὸν εἰς φυλακήν ὅπως μὴ ἀκουσθῇ ἡ φωνὴ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τοῦ Ισραηλ (lxx) Eze 19:9 et miserunt eum in caveam: in catenis adduxerunt eum ad regem Babylonis, miseruntque eum in carcerem, ne audiretur vox ejus ultra super montes Israël.(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:9 And they put him in prison and in chaines, and brought him to the King of Babel, and they put him in holdes, that his voyce should no more be heard vpon the mountaines of Israel.(Geneva) Eze 19:9 und stießen ihn gebunden in einen Käfig und führten ihn zum König zu Babel; und man ließ ihn verwahren, daß seine Stimme nicht mehr gehört würde auf den Bergen Israels.(dhs) Eze 19:9 They put him in a cage with chains, And brought him to the king of Babylon; They brought him in nets, That his voice should no longer be heard on the mountains of Israel.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 19:10 ============ Eze 19:10 'Your mother was like a vine in your vineyard, Planted by the waters; It was fruitful and full of branches Because of abundant waters. (nas) Eze 19:10 ἡ μήτηρ σου ὡς ἄμπελος ὡς ἄνθος ἐν ῥόᾳ ἐν ὕδατι πεφυτευμένη ὁ καρπὸς αὐτῆς καὶ ὁ βλαστὸς αὐτῆς ἐγένετο ἐξ ὕδατος πολλοῦ (lxx) Eze 19:10 Mater tua quasi vinea in sanguine tuo super aquam plantata est: fructus ejus et frondes ejus creverunt ex aquis multis.(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:10 Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she brought foorth fruite and branches by the abundant waters,(Geneva) Eze 19:10 Deine Mutter war wie ein Weinstock, gleich wie du am Wasser gepflanzt; und seine Frucht und Reben wuchsen von dem großen Wasser,(dhs) Eze 19:10 'Your mother was like a vine in your bloodline, Planted by the waters, Fruitful and full of branches Because of many waters.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 19:11 ============ Eze 19:11 'And it had strong branches fit for scepters of rulers, And its height was raised above the clouds So that it was seen in its height with the mass of its branches. (nas) Eze 19:11 καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτῇ ῥάβδος ἰσχύος ἐπὶ φυλὴν ἡγουμένων καὶ ὑψώθη τῷ μεγέθει αὐτῆς ἐν μέσῳ στελεχῶν καὶ εἶδεν τὸ μέγεθος αὐτῆς ἐν πλήθει κλημάτων αὐτῆς (lxx) Eze 19:11 Et factæ sunt ei virgæ solidæ in sceptra dominantium, et exaltata est statura ejus inter frondes, et vidit altitudinem suam in multitudine palmitum suorum.(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:11 And she had strong rods for the scepters of them that beare rule, and her stature was exalted among the branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches.(Geneva) Eze 19:11 daß seine Reben so stark wurden, daß sie zu Herrenzeptern gut waren, und er ward hoch unter den Reben. Und da man sah, daß er so hoch war und viel Reben hatte,(dhs) Eze 19:11 She had strong branches for scepters of rulers. She towered in stature above the thick branches, And was seen in her height amid the dense foliage.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 19:12 ============ Eze 19:12 'But it was plucked up in fury; It was cast down to the ground; And the east wind dried up its fruit. Its strong branch was torn off So that it withered; The fire consumed it. (nas) Eze 19:12 καὶ κατεκλάσθη ἐν θυμῷ ἐπὶ γῆν ἐρρίφη καὶ ἄνεμος ὁ καύσων ἐξήρανεν τὰ ἐκλεκτὰ αὐτῆς ἐξεδικήθη καὶ ἐξηράνθη ἡ ῥάβδος ἰσχύος αὐτῆς πῦρ ἀνήλωσεν αὐτήν (lxx) Eze 19:12 Et evulsa est in ira, in terramque projecta, et ventus urens siccavit fructum ejus: marcuerunt et arefactæ sunt virgæ roboris ejus: ignis comedit eam.(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:12 But she was plucked vp in wrath: she was cast downe to the ground, & the East winde dried vp her fruite: her branches were broken, & withered: as for the rod of her strength, the fire consumed it.(Geneva) Eze 19:12 ward er mit Grimm ausgerissen und zu Boden geworfen; der Ostwind verdorrte seine Frucht, und seine starken Reben wurden zerbrochen, daß sie verdorrten und verbrannt wurden.(dhs) Eze 19:12 But she was plucked up in fury, She was cast down to the ground, And the east wind dried her fruit. Her strong branches were broken and withered; The fire consumed them.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 19:13 ============ Eze 19:13 'And now it is planted in the wilderness, In a dry and thirsty land. (nas) Eze 19:13 καὶ νῦν πεφύτευκαν αὐτὴν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἐν γῇ ἀνύδρῳ (lxx) Eze 19:13 Et nunc transplantata est in desertum, in terra invia et sitienti.(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:13 And now she is planted in the wildernes in a drie and thirstie ground.(Geneva) Eze 19:13 Nun aber ist er gepflanzt in der Wüste, in einem dürren, durstigen Lande,(dhs) Eze 19:13 And now she is planted in the wilderness, In a dry and thirsty land.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 19:14 ============ Eze 19:14 'And fire has gone out from its branch; It has consumed its shoots and fruit, So that there is not in it a strong branch, A scepter to rule.'" This is a lamentation, and has become a lamentation. (nas) Eze 19:14 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν πῦρ ἐκ ῥάβδου ἐκλεκτῶν αὐτῆς καὶ κατέφαγεν αὐτήν καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἐν αὐτῇ ῥάβδος ἰσχύος φυλὴ εἰς παραβολὴν θρήνου ἐστὶν καὶ ἔσται εἰς θρῆνον (lxx) Eze 19:14 Et egressus est ignis de virga ramorum ejus, qui fructum ejus comedit: et non fuit in ea virga fortis, sceptrum dominantium.] Planctus est, et erit in planctum.(vulgate) Ezekiel 19:14 And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath deuoured her fruite, so that she hath no strong rod to be a scepter to rule: this is a lamentation and shalbe for a lamentation.(Geneva) Eze 19:14 und ist ein Feuer ausgegangen von seinen starken Reben, das verzehrte seine Frucht, daß in ihm keine starke Rebe mehr ist zu einem Herrenzepter, das ist ein kläglich und jämmerlich Ding.(dhs) Eze 19:14 Fire has come out from a rod of her branches And devoured her fruit, So that she has no strong branch--a scepter for ruling.'
