(nas) Eze 20:1 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ ἑβδόμῳ ἐν τῷ πέμπτῳ μηνὶ δεκάτῃ τοῦ μηνὸς ἦλθον ἄνδρες ἐκ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων οἴκου Ισραηλ ἐπερωτῆσαι τὸν κύριον καὶ ἐκάθισαν πρὸ προσώπου μου (lxx) Eze 20:1 Et factum est in anno septimo, in quinto, in decima mensis, venerunt viri de senioribus Israël ut interrogarent Dominum, et sederunt coram me.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:1 And in the seuenth yeere, in the fift moneth, the tenth day of the moneth, came certaine of the elders of Israel to enquire of the Lord, and sate before me.(Geneva) Eze 20:1 Und es begab sich im siebenten Jahr, am zehnten Tage des fünften Monats, kamen etliche aus den Ältesten Israels, den HERRN zu fragen, und setzten sich vor mir nieder.(dhs) Eze 20:1 It came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the Lord, and sat before me.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:2 ============ Eze 20:2 And the word of the Lord came to me saying, (nas) Eze 20:2 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (lxx) Eze 20:2 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:2 Then came the worde of the Lorde vnto me, saying,(Geneva) Eze 20:2 Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Eze 20:2 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:3 ============ Eze 20:3 "Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Do you come to inquire of Me? As I live," declares the Lord God, "I will not be inquired of by you."'(nas) Eze 20:3 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου λάλησον πρὸς τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος εἰ ἐπερωτῆσαί με ὑμεῖς ἔρχεσθε ζῶ ἐγὼ εἰ ἀποκριθήσομαι ὑμῖν λέγει κύριος (lxx) Eze 20:3 Fili hominis, loquere senioribus Israël, et dices ad eos: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Numquid ad interrogandum me vos venistis? vivo ego quia non respondebo vobis, ait Dominus Deus.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:3 Sonne of man, speake vnto the Elders of Israel, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Are ye come to enquire of me? As I liue, sayth the Lord God, when I am asked, I wil not answer you.(Geneva) Eze 20:3 Du Menschenkind, sage den Ältesten Israels und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR HERR: Seid ihr gekommen, mich zu fragen? So wahr ich lebe, ich will von euch ungefragt sein, spricht der HERR HERR.(dhs) Eze 20:3 "Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Have you come to inquire of Me? As I live," says the Lord God, "I will not be inquired of by you." '(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:4 ============ Eze 20:4 Will you judge them, will you judge them, son of man? Make them know the abominations of their fathers; (nas) Eze 20:4 εἰ ἐκδικήσω αὐτοὺς ἐκδικήσει υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου τὰς ἀνομίας τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν διαμάρτυραι αὐτοῖς (lxx) Eze 20:4 Si judicas eos, si judicas, fili hominis, abominationes patrum eorum ostende eis.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:4 Wilt thou iudge them, sonne of man? Wilt thou iudge them? cause them to vnderstand the abominations of their fathers,(Geneva) Eze 20:4 Aber willst du sie strafen, du Menschenkind, so magst du sie also strafen: zeige ihnen an die Greuel ihrer Väter(dhs) Eze 20:4 Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? Then make known to them the abominations of their fathers.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:5 ============ Eze 20:5 and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "On the day when I chose Israel and swore to the descendants of the house of Jacob and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am the Lord your God, (nas) Eze 20:5 καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀφ᾽ ἧς ἡμέρας ᾑρέτισα τὸν οἶκον Ισραηλ καὶ ἐγνωρίσθην τῷ σπέρματι οἴκου Ιακωβ καὶ ἐγνώσθην αὐτοῖς ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἀντελαβόμην τῇ χειρί μου αὐτῶν λέγων ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν (lxx) Eze 20:5 Et dices ad eos: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: In die qua elegi Israël, et levavi manum meam pro stirpe domus Jacob, et apparui eis in terra Ægypti, et levavi manum meam pro eis, dicens: Ego Dominus Deus vester:(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:5 And say vnto them, Thus saith the Lorde God, In the day when I chose Israel, and lift vp mine hand vnto the seede of the house of Iaakob, and made my selfe knowen vnto them in the land of Egypt, when I lift vp mine hand vnto them, and sayd, I am the Lord your God,(Geneva) Eze 20:5 und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR HERR: Zu der Zeit, da ich Israel erwählte, erhob ich meine Hand zu dem Samen des Hauses Jakob und gab mich ihnen zu erkennen in Ägyptenland. Ja, ich erhob meine Hand zu ihnen und sprach: Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.(dhs) Eze 20:5 "Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God: "On the day when I chose Israel and raised My hand in an oath to the descendants of the house of Jacob, and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, I raised My hand in an oath to them, saying, 'I am the Lord your God.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:6 ============ Eze 20:6 on that day I swore to them, to bring them out from the land of Egypt into a land that I had selected for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands. (nas) Eze 20:6 ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἀντελαβόμην τῇ χειρί μου αὐτῶν τοῦ ἐξαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν ἡτοίμασα αὐτοῖς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι κηρίον ἐστὶν παρὰ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν (lxx) Eze 20:6 in die illa levavi manum meam pro eis ut educerem eos de terra Ægypti, in terram quam provideram eis, fluentem lacte et melle, quæ est egregia inter omnes terras.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:6 In the day that I lift vp mine hand vnto them to bring them forth of the land of Egypt, into a land that I had prouided for them, flowing with milke & hony which is pleasant among all lands,(Geneva) Eze 20:6 Ich erhob aber zur selben Zeit meine Hand, daß ich sie führte aus Ägyptenland in ein Land, das ich ihnen ersehen hatte, das mit Milch und Honig fließt, ein edles Land vor allen Ländern,(dhs) Eze 20:6 On that day I raised My hand in an oath to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, 'flowing with milk and honey,' the glory of all lands.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:7 ============ Eze 20:7 I said to them, 'Cast away, each of you, the detestable things of his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.'(nas) Eze 20:7 καὶ εἶπα πρὸς αὐτούς ἕκαστος τὰ βδελύγματα τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτοῦ ἀπορριψάτω καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἐπιτηδεύμασιν Αἰγύπτου μὴ μιαίνεσθε ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν (lxx) Eze 20:7 Et dixi ad eos: Unusquisque offensiones oculorum suorum abjiciat, et in idolis Ægypti nolite pollui: ego Dominus Deus vester.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:7 Then sayd I vnto them, Let euery man cast away the abominations of his eyes, and defile not your selues with the idols of Egypt: for I am the Lord your God.(Geneva) Eze 20:7 und sprach zu ihnen: Ein jeglicher werfe weg die Greuel vor seinen Augen, und verunreinigt euch nicht an den Götzen Ägyptens! denn ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.(dhs) Eze 20:7 Then I said to them, 'Each of you, throw away the abominations which are before his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:8 ============ Eze 20:8 But they rebelled against Me and were not willing to listen to Me; they did not cast away the detestable things of their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. (nas) Eze 20:8 καὶ ἀπέστησαν ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησαν εἰσακοῦσαί μου τὰ βδελύγματα τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν οὐκ ἀπέρριψαν καὶ τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα Αἰγύπτου οὐκ ἐγκατέλιπον καὶ εἶπα τοῦ ἐκχέαι τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς τοῦ συντελέσαι τὴν ὀργήν μου ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐν μέσῳ γῆς Αἰγύπτου (lxx) Eze 20:8 Et irritaverunt me, nolueruntque me audire: unusquisque abominationes oculorum suorum non projecit, nec idola Ægypti reliquerunt. Et dixi ut effunderem indignationem meam super eos, et implerem iram meam in eis, in medio terræ Ægypti.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:8 But they rebelled against me, & would not heare me: for none cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idoles of Egypt: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them, & to accomplish my wrath against them in the mids of the land of Egypt.(Geneva) Eze 20:8 Sie aber waren mir ungehorsam und wollten nicht gehorchen und warf ihrer keiner weg die Greuel vor seinen Augen und verließen die Götzen Ägyptens nicht. Da dachte ich meinem Grimm über sie auszuschütten und all mein Zorn über sie gehen zu lassen noch in Ägyptenland.(dhs) Eze 20:8 But they rebelled against Me and would not obey Me. They did not all cast away the abominations which were before their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said, 'I will pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:9 ============ Eze 20:9 But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they lived, in whose sight I made Myself known to them by bringing them out of the land of Egypt. (nas) Eze 20:9 καὶ ἐποίησα ὅπως τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ παράπαν μὴ βεβηλωθῇ ἐνώπιον τῶν ἐθνῶν ὧν αὐτοί εἰσιν ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν ἐν οἷς ἐγνώσθην πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν τοῦ ἐξαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου (lxx) Eze 20:9 Et feci propter nomen meum, ut non violaretur coram gentibus in quarum medio erant, et inter quas apparui eis ut educerem eos de terra Ægypti.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:9 But I had respect to my Name, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whome they were, & in whose sight I made my selfe knowen vnto them in bringing them forth of the land of Egypt.(Geneva) Eze 20:9 Aber ich ließ es um meines Namens willen, daß er nicht entheiligt würde vor den Heiden, unter denen sie waren und vor denen ich mich ihnen hatte zu erkennen gegeben, daß ich sie aus Ägyptenland führen wollte.(dhs) Eze 20:9 But I acted for My name's sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles among whom they were, in whose sight I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:10 ============ Eze 20:10 So I took them out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. (nas) Eze 20:10 καὶ ἐξήγαγον αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν ἔρημον (lxx) Eze 20:10 Ejeci ergo eos de terra Ægypti, et eduxi eos in desertum.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:10 Nowe I caried them out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wildernes.(Geneva) Eze 20:10 Und da ich sie aus Ägyptenland geführt hatte und in die Wüste gebracht,(dhs) Eze 20:10 "Therefore I made them go out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:11 ============ Eze 20:11 I gave them My statutes and informed them of My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live. (nas) Eze 20:11 καὶ ἔδωκα αὐτοῖς τὰ προστάγματά μου καὶ τὰ δικαιώματά μου ἐγνώρισα αὐτοῖς ὅσα ποιήσει αὐτὰ ἄνθρωπος καὶ ζήσεται ἐν αὐτοῖς (lxx) Eze 20:11 Et dedi eis præcepta mea, et judicia mea ostendi eis, quæ faciens homo vivet in eis.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:11 And I gaue them my statutes, and declared my iudgements vnto them, which if a man doe, he shall liue in them.(Geneva) Eze 20:11 gab ich ihnen meine Gebote und lehrte sie meine Rechte, durch welche lebt der Mensch, der sie hält.(dhs) Eze 20:11 And I gave them My statutes and showed them My judgments, 'which, if a man does, he shall live by them.'(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:12 ============ Eze 20:12 Also I gave them My sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them. (nas) Eze 20:12 καὶ τὰ σάββατά μου ἔδωκα αὐτοῖς τοῦ εἶναι εἰς σημεῖον ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτῶν τοῦ γνῶναι αὐτοὺς διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ ἁγιάζων αὐτούς (lxx) Eze 20:12 Insuper et sabbata mea dedi eis, ut essent signum inter me et eos, et scirent quia ego Dominus sanctificans eos.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:12 Moreouer I gaue them also my Sabbaths to be a signe betwene me & them, that they might knowe that I am the Lord, that sanctifie them.(Geneva) Eze 20:12 Ich gab ihnen auch meine Sabbate zum Zeichen zwischen mir und ihnen, damit sie lernten, daß ich der HERR sei, der sie heiligt.(dhs) Eze 20:12 Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:13 ============ Eze 20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live; and My sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them. (nas) Eze 20:13 καὶ εἶπα πρὸς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἐν τοῖς προστάγμασίν μου πορεύεσθε καὶ οὐκ ἐπορεύθησαν καὶ τὰ δικαιώματά μου ἀπώσαντο ἃ ποιήσει αὐτὰ ἄνθρωπος καὶ ζήσεται ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ τὰ σάββατά μου ἐβεβήλωσαν σφόδρα καὶ εἶπα τοῦ ἐκχέαι τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τοῦ ἐξαναλῶσαι αὐτούς (lxx) Eze 20:13 Et irritaverunt me domus Israël in deserto: in præceptis meis non ambulaverunt, et judicia mea projecerunt, quæ faciens homo vivet in eis, et sabbata mea violaverunt vehementer. Dixi ergo ut effunderem furorem meum super eos in deserto, et consumerem eos:(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wildernes: they walked not in my statutes, and they cast away my iudgements, which if a man doe, he shall liue in them, and my Sabbaths haue they greatly polluted: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them in the wildernes to consume them,(Geneva) Eze 20:13 Aber das Haus Israel war mir ungehorsam auch in der Wüste und lebten nicht nach meinen Geboten und verachteten meine Rechte, durch welche der Mensch lebt, der sie hält, und entheiligten meine Sabbate sehr. Da gedachte ich meinem Grimm über sie auszuschütten in der Wüste und sie ganz umzubringen.(dhs) Eze 20:13 Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, 'which, if a man does, he shall live by them'; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:14 ============ Eze 20:14 But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, before whose sight I had brought them out. (nas) Eze 20:14 καὶ ἐποίησα ὅπως τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ παράπαν μὴ βεβηλωθῇ ἐνώπιον τῶν ἐθνῶν ὧν ἐξήγαγον αὐτοὺς κατ᾽ ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν (lxx) Eze 20:14 et feci propter nomen meum, ne violaretur coram gentibus de quibus ejeci eos in conspectu earum.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:14 But I had respect to my Name, that it shoulde not bee polluted before the heathen in whose sight I brought them out.(Geneva) Eze 20:14 Aber ich ließ es um meines Namens willen, auf daß er nicht entheiligt würde vor den Heiden, vor welchen ich sie hatte ausgeführt.(dhs) Eze 20:14 But I acted for My name's sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles, in whose sight I had brought them out.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:15 ============ Eze 20:15 Also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands, (nas) Eze 20:15 καὶ ἐγὼ ἐξῆρα τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τὸ παράπαν τοῦ μὴ εἰσαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν ἔδωκα αὐτοῖς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι κηρίον ἐστὶν παρὰ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν (lxx) Eze 20:15 Ego igitur levavi manum meam super eos in deserto, ne inducerem eos in terram quam dedi eis, fluentem lacte et melle, præcipuam terrarum omnium:(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:15 Yet neuerthelesse, I lift vp mine hande vnto them in the wildernes that I would not bring them into the lande, which I had giuen them, flowing with milke and hony, which was pleasant aboue all landes,(Geneva) Eze 20:15 Und ich hob auch meine Hand auf wider sie in der Wüste, daß ich sie nicht wollte bringen in das Land, so ich ihnen gegeben hatte, das mit Milch und Honig fließt, ein edles Land vor allen Ländern,(dhs) Eze 20:15 So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, 'flowing with milk and honey,' the glory of all lands,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:16 ============ Eze 20:16 because they rejected My ordinances, and as for My statutes, they did not walk in them; they even profaned My sabbaths, for their heart continually went after their idols. (nas) Eze 20:16 ἀνθ᾽ ὧν τὰ δικαιώματά μου ἀπώσαντο καὶ ἐν τοῖς προστάγμασίν μου οὐκ ἐπορεύθησαν ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ τὰ σάββατά μου ἐβεβήλουν καὶ ὀπίσω τῶν ἐνθυμημάτων τῶν καρδιῶν αὐτῶν ἐπορεύοντο (lxx) Eze 20:16 quia judicia mea projecerunt, et in præceptis meis non ambulaverunt, et sabbata mea violaverunt: post idola enim cor eorum gradiebatur.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:16 Because they cast away my iudgments, and walked not in my statutes, but haue polluted my Sabbaths: for their heart went after their idoles.(Geneva) Eze 20:16 darum daß sie meine Rechte verachtet und nach meinen Geboten nicht gelebt und meine Sabbate entheiligt hatten; denn sie wandelten nach den Götzen ihres Herzens.(dhs) Eze 20:16 because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:17 ============ Eze 20:17 Yet My eye spared them rather than destroying them, and I did not cause their annihilation in the wilderness. (nas) Eze 20:17 καὶ ἐφείσατο ὁ ὀφθαλμός μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς τοῦ ἐξαλεῖψαι αὐτοὺς καὶ οὐκ ἐποίησα αὐτοὺς εἰς συντέλειαν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ (lxx) Eze 20:17 Et pepercit oculus meus super eos, ut non interficerem eos: nec consumpsi eos in deserto.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:17 Neuerthelesse, mine eye spared them, that I would not destroye them, neither would I consume them in the wildernes.(Geneva) Eze 20:17 Aber mein Auge verschonte sie, daß ich sie nicht verderbte noch ganz umbrächte in der Wüste.(dhs) Eze 20:17 Nevertheless My eye spared them from destruction. I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:18 ============ Eze 20:18 "I said to their children in the wilderness, 'Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers or keep their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols. (nas) Eze 20:18 καὶ εἶπα πρὸς τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἐν τοῖς νομίμοις τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν μὴ πορεύεσθε καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτῶν μὴ φυλάσσεσθε καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἐπιτηδεύμασιν αὐτῶν μὴ συναναμίσγεσθε καὶ μὴ μιαίνεσθε (lxx) Eze 20:18 Dixi autem ad filios eorum in solitudine: In præceptis patrum vestrorum nolite incedere, nec judicia eorum custodiatis, nec in idolis eorum polluamini.(vulgate) Ezekiel 20:18 But I said vnto their children in the wildernes, Walke ye not in the ordinances of your fathers, neither obserue their maners, nor defile your selues with their idoles.(Geneva) Eze 20:18 Und ich sprach zu ihren Kindern in der Wüste: Ihr sollt nach eurer Väter Geboten nicht leben und ihre Rechte nicht halten und an ihren Götzen euch nicht verunreinigen.(dhs) Eze 20:18 "But I said to their children in the wilderness, 'Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 20:19 ============ Eze 20:19 I am the Lord your God; walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and observe them.
