Today's Date: ======= Hosea 7:1 ============ Hos 7:1 When I would heal Israel, The iniquity of Ephraim is uncovered, And the evil deeds of Samaria, For they deal falsely; The thief enters in, Bandits raid outside, (nas) Hos 7:1 ἐν τῷ ἰάσασθαί με τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ἀποκαλυφθήσεται ἡ ἀδικία Εφραιμ καὶ ἡ κακία Σαμαρείας ὅτι ἠργάσαντο ψευδῆ καὶ κλέπτης πρὸς αὐτὸν εἰσελεύσεται ἐκδιδύσκων λῃστὴς ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Hos 7:1 [Cum sanare vellem Israël, revelata est iniquitas Ephraim, et malitia Samariæ, quia operati sunt mendacium; et fur ingressus est spolians, latrunculus foris.(vulgate) Hosea 7:1 When I woulde haue healed Israel, then the iniquitie of Ephraim was discouered, and the wickednesse of Samaria: for they haue dealt falsly: and the theefe commeth in, and the robber spoyleth without.(Geneva) Hos 7:1 Wenn ich Israel heilen will, so findet sich erst die Sünde Ephraims und die Bosheit Samarias, wie sie Lügen treiben und Diebe einsteigen und Räuber draußen plündern;(dhs) Hos 7:1 "When I would have healed Israel, Then the iniquity of Ephraim was uncovered, And the wickedness of Samaria. Now their deeds are all around them; They are before My face. (nas) Hos 7:2 ὅπως συνᾴδωσιν ὡς συνᾴδοντες τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῶν πάσας τὰς κακίας αὐτῶν ἐμνήσθην νῦν ἐκύκλωσεν αὐτοὺς τὰ διαβούλια αὐτῶν ἀπέναντι τοῦ προσώπου μου ἐγένοντο (lxx) Hos 7:2 Et ne forte dicant in cordibus suis, omnem malitiam eorum me recordatum, nunc circumdederunt eos adinventiones suæ: coram facie mea factæ sunt.(vulgate) Hosea 7:2 And they consider not in their hearts, that I remember all their wickednes: now their owne inuentions haue beset them about: they are in my sight.(Geneva) Hos 7:2 dennoch wollen sie nicht merken, daß ich alle ihre Bosheit merke. (nas) Hos 7:3 ἐν ταῖς κακίαις αὐτῶν εὔφραναν βασιλεῖς καὶ ἐν τοῖς ψεύδεσιν αὐτῶν ἄρχοντας (lxx) Hos 7:3 In malitia sua lætificaverunt regem, et in mendaciis suis principes.(vulgate) Hosea 7:3 They make the King glad with their wickednesse, and the princes with their lies.(Geneva) Hos 7:3 Sie vertrösten den König durch ihre Bosheit und die Fürsten durch ihre Lügen;(dhs) Hos 7:3 They make a king glad with their wickedness, And princes with their lies.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:4 ============ Hos 7:4 They are all adulterers, Like an oven heated by the baker Who ceases to stir up the fire From the kneading of the dough until it is leavened. (nas) Hos 7:4 πάντες μοιχεύοντες ὡς κλίβανος καιόμενος εἰς πέψιν κατακαύματος ἀπὸ τῆς φλογός ἀπὸ φυράσεως στέατος ἕως τοῦ ζυμωθῆναι αὐτό (lxx) Hos 7:4 Omnes adulterantes, quasi clibanus succensus a coquente; quievit paululum civitas a commistione fermenti, donec fermentaretur totum.(vulgate) Hosea 7:4 They are all adulterers, and as a very ouen heated by ye baker, which ceaseth from raysing vp, and from kneading ye dough vntill it be leauened.(Geneva) Hos 7:4 und sind allesamt Ehebrecher gleichwie ein Backofen, den der Bäcker heizt, wenn er hat ausgeknetet und läßt den Teig durchsäuern und aufgehen.(dhs) Hos 7:4 "They are all adulterers. Like an oven heated by a baker-- He ceases stirring the fire after kneading the dough, Until it is leavened.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:5 ============ Hos 7:5 On the day of our king, the princes became sick with the heat of wine; He stretched out his hand with scoffers, (nas) Hos 7:5 αἱ ἡμέραι τῶν βασιλέων ὑμῶν ἤρξαντο οἱ ἄρχοντες θυμοῦσθαι ἐξ οἴνου ἐξέτεινεν τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ μετὰ λοιμῶν (lxx) Hos 7:5 Dies regis nostri: cœperunt principes furere a vino; extendit manum suam cum illusoribus.(vulgate) Hosea 7:5 This is the day of our King: the princes haue made him sicke with flagons of wine: he stretcheth out his hand to scorners.(Geneva) Hos 7:5 Heute ist unsers Königs Fest sprechen sie, da fangen die Fürsten an, vom Wein toll zu werden; so zieht er die Spötter zu sich.(dhs) Hos 7:5 In the day of our king Princes have made him sick, inflamed with wine; He stretched out his hand with scoffers.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:6 ============ Hos 7:6 For their hearts are like an oven As they approach their plotting; Their anger smolders all night, In the morning it burns like a flaming fire. (nas) Hos 7:6 διότι ἀνεκαύθησαν ὡς κλίβανος αἱ καρδίαι αὐτῶν ἐν τῷ καταράσσειν αὐτούς ὅλην τὴν νύκτα ὕπνου Εφραιμ ἐνεπλήσθη πρωὶ ἐγενήθη ἀνεκαύθη ὡς πυρὸς φέγγος (lxx) Hos 7:6 Quia applicuerunt quasi clibanum cor suum, cum insidiaretur eis; tota nocte dormivit coquens eos: mane ipse succensus quasi ignis flammæ.(vulgate) Hosea 7:6 For they haue made ready their heart like an ouen whiles they lie in waite: their baker sleepeth all the night: in the morning it burneth as a flame of fire.(Geneva) Hos 7:6 Denn ihr Herz ist in heißer Andacht wie ein Backofen, wenn sie opfern und die Leute betrügen; ihr Bäcker schläft die ganze Nacht, und des Morgens brennt er lichterloh.(dhs) Hos 7:6 They prepare their heart like an oven, While they lie in wait; Their baker sleeps all night; In the morning it burns like a flaming fire.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:7 ============ Hos 7:7 All of them are hot like an oven, And they consume their rulers; All their kings have fallen. None of them calls on Me. (nas) Hos 7:7 πάντες ἐθερμάνθησαν ὡς κλίβανος καὶ κατέφαγον τοὺς κριτὰς αὐτῶν πάντες οἱ βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν ἔπεσαν οὐκ ἦν ὁ ἐπικαλούμενος ἐν αὐτοῖς πρός με (lxx) Hos 7:7 Omnes calefacti sunt quasi clibanus, et devoraverunt judices suos: omnes reges eorum ceciderunt; non est qui clamat in eis ad me.(vulgate) Hosea 7:7 They are all hote as an ouen, and haue deuoured their iudges: all their Kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth vnto me.(Geneva) Hos 7:7 Allesamt sind sie so heißer Andacht wie ein Backofen, also daß ihre Richter aufgefressen werden und alle ihre Könige fallen; und ist keiner unter ihnen, der mich anrufe.(dhs) Hos 7:7 They are all hot, like an oven, And have devoured their judges; All their kings have fallen. (nas) Hos 7:8 Εφραιμ ἐν τοῖς λαοῖς αὐτοῦ συνανεμείγνυτο Εφραιμ ἐγένετο ἐγκρυφίας οὐ μεταστρεφόμενος (lxx) Hos 7:8 Ephraim in populis ipse commiscebatur; Ephraim factus est subcinericius panis, qui non reversatur.(vulgate) Hosea 7:8 Ephraim hath mixt himselfe among the people. Ephraim is as a cake on the hearth not turned.(Geneva) Hos 7:8 Ephraim mengt sich unter die Völker; Ephraim ist wie ein Kuchen, den niemand umwendet.(dhs) Hos 7:8 "Ephraim has mixed himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake unturned.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:9 ============ Hos 7:9 Strangers devour his strength, Yet he does not know it; Gray hairs also are sprinkled on him, Yet he does not know it. (nas) Hos 7:9 κατέφαγον ἀλλότριοι τὴν ἰσχὺν αὐτοῦ αὐτὸς δὲ οὐκ ἐπέγνω καὶ πολιαὶ ἐξήνθησαν αὐτῷ καὶ αὐτὸς οὐκ ἔγνω (lxx) Hos 7:9 Comederunt alieni robur ejus, et ipse nescivit; sed et cani effusi sunt in eo, et ipse ignoravit.(vulgate) Hosea 7:9 Strangers haue deuoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray heares are here and there vpon him, yet he knoweth not.(Geneva) Hos 7:9 Fremde fressen seine Kraft, doch will er's nicht merken; er hat auch graue Haare gekriegt, doch will er's nicht merken.(dhs) Hos 7:9 Aliens have devoured his strength, But he does not know it; Yes, gray hairs are here and there on him, Yet he does not know it.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:10 ============ Hos 7:10 Though the pride of Israel testifies against him, Yet they have not returned to the Lord their God, Nor have they sought Him, for all this. (nas) Hos 7:10 καὶ ταπεινωθήσεται ἡ ὕβρις Ισραηλ εἰς πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἐπέστρεψαν πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν αὐτῶν καὶ οὐκ ἐξεζήτησαν αὐτὸν ἐν πᾶσι τούτοις (lxx) Hos 7:10 Et humiliabitur superbia Israël in facie ejus; nec reversi sunt ad Dominum Deum suum, et non quæsierunt eum in omnibus his.(vulgate) Hosea 7:10 And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face, and they doe not returne to the Lorde their God, nor seeke him for all this.(Geneva) Hos 7:10 Und die Hoffart Israels zeugt wider sie ins Angesicht; dennoch bekehren sie sich nicht zum HERRN, ihrem Gott, fragen auch nicht nach ihm in diesem allem.(dhs) Hos 7:10 And the pride of Israel testifies to his face, But they do not return to the Lord their God, Nor seek Him for all this.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:11 ============ Hos 7:11 So Ephraim has become like a silly dove, without sense; They call to Egypt, they go to Assyria. (nas) Hos 7:11 καὶ ἦν Εφραιμ ὡς περιστερὰ ἄνους οὐκ ἔχουσα καρδίαν Αἴγυπτον ἐπεκαλεῖτο καὶ εἰς Ἀσσυρίους ἐπορεύθησαν (lxx) Hos 7:11 Et factus est Ephraim quasi columba seducta non habens cor. Ægyptum invocabant; ad Assyrios abierunt.(vulgate) Hosea 7:11 Ephraim also is like a doue deceiued, without heart: they call to Egypt: they go to Asshur.(Geneva) Hos 7:11 Denn Ephraim ist wie eine verlockte Taube, die nichts merken will. Jetzt rufen sie Ägypten an, dann laufen sie zu Assur.(dhs) Hos 7:11 "Ephraim also is like a silly dove, without sense-- They call to Egypt, They go to Assyria.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:12 ============ Hos 7:12 When they go, I will spread My net over them; I will bring them down like the birds of the sky. I will chastise them in accordance with the proclamation to their assembly. (nas) Hos 7:12 καθὼς ἂν πορεύωνται ἐπιβαλῶ ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς τὸ δίκτυόν μου καθὼς τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατάξω αὐτούς παιδεύσω αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ἀκοῇ τῆς θλίψεως αὐτῶν (lxx) Hos 7:12 Et cum profecti fuerint, expandam super eos rete meum: quasi volucrem cæli detraham eos; cædam eos secundum auditionem cœtus eorum.(vulgate) Hosea 7:12 But when they shal go, I will spred my net vpon them, and drawe them downe as the foules of the heauen: I will chastice them as their congregation hath heard.(Geneva) Hos 7:12 Aber indem sie hin und her laufen, will ich mein Netz über sie werfen und sie herunterholen wie die Vögel unter dem Himmel; ich will sie strafen, wie man predigt in ihrer Versammlung.(dhs) Hos 7:12 Wherever they go, I will spread My net on them; I will bring them down like birds of the air; I will chastise them According to what their congregation has heard.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:13 ============ Hos 7:13 Woe to them, for they have strayed from Me! Destruction is theirs, for they have rebelled against Me! I would redeem them, but they speak lies against Me. (nas) Hos 7:13 οὐαὶ αὐτοῖς ὅτι ἀπεπήδησαν ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ δείλαιοί εἰσιν ὅτι ἠσέβησαν εἰς ἐμέ ἐγὼ δὲ ἐλυτρωσάμην αὐτούς αὐτοὶ δὲ κατελάλησαν κατ᾽ ἐμοῦ ψεύδη (lxx) Hos 7:13 Væ eis, quoniam recesserunt a me! vastabuntur, quia prævaricati sunt in me, et ego redemi eos, et ipsi locuti sunt contra me mendacia.(vulgate) Hosea 7:13 Wo vnto them: for they haue fled away from me: destruction shalbe vnto them, because they haue transgressed against me: though I haue redeemed them, yet they haue spoken lyes against me.(Geneva) Hos 7:13 Weh ihnen, daß sie von mir weichen! (nas) Hos 7:14 καὶ οὐκ ἐβόησαν πρός με αἱ καρδίαι αὐτῶν ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ὠλόλυζον ἐν ταῖς κοίταις αὐτῶν ἐπὶ σίτῳ καὶ οἴνῳ κατετέμνοντο ἐπαιδεύθησαν ἐν ἐμοί (lxx) Hos 7:14 Et non clamaverunt ad me in corde suo, sed ululabant in cubilibus suis: super triticum et vinum ruminabant; recesserunt a me.(vulgate) Hosea 7:14 And they haue not cryed vnto me with their hearts, when they houled vpon their beds: they assembled themselues for corne, and wine, and they rebell against me.(Geneva) Hos 7:14 So rufen sie mich auch nicht an von Herzen, sondern Heulen auf ihren Lagern. "They assemble together for grain and new wine, They rebel against Me;(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:15 ============ Hos 7:15 Although I trained and strengthened their arms, Yet they devise evil against Me. (nas) Hos 7:15 κἀγὼ κατίσχυσα τοὺς βραχίονας αὐτῶν καὶ εἰς ἐμὲ ἐλογίσαντο πονηρά (lxx) Hos 7:15 Et ego erudivi eos, et confortavi brachia eorum, et in me cogitaverunt malitiam.(vulgate) Hosea 7:15 Though I haue boud & strengthened their arme, yet doe they imagine mischiefe against me.(Geneva) Hos 7:15 Ich lehre sie und stärke ihren Arm; aber sie denken Böses von mir.(dhs) Hos 7:15 Though I disciplined and strengthened their arms, Yet they devise evil against Me;(nkjv) ======= Hosea 7:16 ============ Hos 7:16 They turn, but not upward, They are like a deceitful bow; Their princes will fall by the sword Because of the insolence of their tongue. This will be their derision in the land of Egypt. (nas) Hos 7:16 ἀπεστράφησαν εἰς οὐθέν ἐγένοντο ὡς τόξον ἐντεταμένον πεσοῦνται ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτῶν δι᾽ ἀπαιδευσίαν γλώσσης αὐτῶν οὗτος ὁ φαυλισμὸς αὐτῶν ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ (lxx) Hos 7:16 Reversi sunt ut essent absque jugo; facti sunt quasi arcus dolosus: cadent in gladio principes eorum, a furore linguæ suæ. Ista subsannatio eorum in terra Ægypti.](vulgate) Hosea 7:16 They returne, but not to the most high: they are like a deceitfull bowe: their princes shall fall by the sword, for the rage of their tongues: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.(Geneva) Hos 7:16 Sie bekehren sich, aber nicht recht, sondern sind wie ein falscher Bogen. Like an eagle the enemy comes against the house of the Lord, Because they have transgressed My covenant And rebelled against My law. (nas) Hos 8:1 εἰς κόλπον αὐτῶν ὡς γῆ ὡς ἀετὸς ἐπ᾽ οἶκον κυρίου ἀνθ᾽ ὧν παρέβησαν τὴν διαθήκην μου καὶ κατὰ τοῦ νόμου μου ἠσέβησαν (lxx) Hos 8:1 [In gutture tuo sit tuba quasi aquila super domum Domini, pro eo quod transgressi sunt fœdus meum, et legem meam prævaricati sunt.(vulgate) Hosea 8:1 Set the trumpet to thy mouth: he shall come as an egle against the House of the Lord, because they haue transgressed my couenant, & trespassed against my Lawe.(Geneva) Hos 8:1 Rufe laut wie eine Posaune: Er kommt über das Haus des HERRN wie ein Adler, darum daß sie meinen Bund übertreten und von meinem Gesetz abtrünnig werden.(dhs) Hos 8:1 "Set the trumpet to your mouth!
