For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation."(nas) 2Pe 3:4 καὶ λέγοντες, ποῦ ἐστιν ἡ ἐπαγγελία τῆς παρουσίας αὐτοῦ; ἀφ᾽ ἧς γὰρ οἱ πατέρες ἐκοιμήθησαν, πάντα οὕτως διαμένει ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς κτίσεως. (nas) 2Pe 3:9 οὐ βραδύνει κύριος τῆς ἐπαγγελίας, ὥς τινες βραδύτητα ἡγοῦνται, ἀλλὰ μακροθυμεῖ εἰς ὑμᾶς, μὴ βουλόμενός τινας ἀπολέσθαι ἀλλὰ πάντας εἰς μετάνοιαν χωρῆσαι. (nas) 2Pe 3:10 ἥξει δὲ ἡμέρα κυρίου ὡς κλέπτης, ἐν ᾗ οἱ οὐρανοὶ ῥοιζηδὸν παρελεύσονται, στοιχεῖα δὲ καυσούμενα λυθήσεται, καὶ γῆ καὶ τὰ ἐν αὐτῇ ἔργα εὑρεθήσεται. (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:13 καινους δε ουρανους και γην καινην κατα το επαγγελμα αυτου προσδοκωμεν εν οις δικαιοσυνη κατοικει (Textus Receptus) 2Pe 3:13 kainouv de ouranouv kai ghn kainhn kata to epaggelma autou prosdokwmen en oiv dikaiosunh katoikei (Byz translitr) 2Pe 3:13 Novos vero cælos, et novam terram secundum promissa ipsius exspectamus, in quibus justitia habitat.(vulgate) 2 Peter 3:13 But wee looke for newe heauens, and a newe earth, according to his promes, wherein dwelleth righteousnesse.(Geneva) 2Pe 3:13 Wir aber warten eines neuen Himmels und einer neuen Erde nach seiner Verheißung, in welchen Gerechtigkeit wohnt.(dhs) 2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.(nkjv) ======= 2 Peter 3:14 ============ 2Pe 3:14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, (nas) 2Pe 3:14 διό, ἀγαπητοί, ταῦτα προσδοκῶντες σπουδάσατε ἄσπιλοι καὶ ἀμώμητοι αὐτῶ εὑρεθῆναι ἐν εἰρήνῃ, (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:14 διο αγαπητοι ταυτα προσδοκωντες σπουδασατε ασπιλοι και αμωμητοι αυτω ευρεθηναι εν ειρηνη (Textus Receptus) 2Pe 3:14 dio agaphtoi tauta prosdokwntev spoudasate aspiloi kai amwmhtoi autw eureyhnai en eirhnh (Byz translitr) 2Pe 3:14 Propter quod, carissimi, hæc exspectantes, satagite immaculati, et inviolati ei inveniri in pace:(vulgate) 2 Peter 3:14 Wherefore, beloued, seeing that yee looke for such thinges, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot and blamelesse.(Geneva) 2Pe 3:14 Darum, meine Lieben, dieweil ihr darauf warten sollt, so tut Fleiß, daß ihr vor ihm unbefleckt und unsträflich im Frieden erfunden werdet;(dhs) 2Pe 3:14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;(nkjv) ======= 2 Peter 3:15 ============ 2Pe 3:15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, (nas) 2Pe 3:15 καὶ τὴν τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν μακροθυμίαν σωτηρίαν ἡγεῖσθε, καθὼς καὶ ὁ ἀγαπητὸς ἡμῶν ἀδελφὸς παῦλος κατὰ τὴν δοθεῖσαν αὐτῶ σοφίαν ἔγραψεν ὑμῖν, (Nestle-Aland) 2Pe 3:15 και την του κυριου ημων μακροθυμιαν σωτηριαν ηγεισθε καθως και ο αγαπητος ημων αδελφος παυλος κατα την αυτω δοθεισαν σοφιαν εγραψεν υμιν (Textus Receptus) 2Pe 3:15 kai thn tou kuriou hmwn makroyumian swthrian hgeisye kaywv kai o agaphtov hmwn adelfov paulov kata thn autw doyeisan sofian egraqen umin (Byz translitr) 2Pe 3:15 et Domini nostri longanimitatem, salutem arbitremini: sicut et carissimus frater noster Paulus secundum datam sibi sapientiam scripsit vobis,(vulgate) 2 Peter 3:15 And suppose that the long suffering of our Lord is saluation, euen as our beloued brother Paul according to the wisedome giuen vnto him wrote to you,(Geneva) 2Pe 3:15 und die Geduld unsers HERRN achtet für eure Seligkeit, wie auch unser lieber Bruder Paulus nach der Weisheit, die ihm gegeben ist, euch geschrieben hat,(dhs) 2Pe 3:15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation--as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,(nkjv) ======= 2 Peter 3:16 ============ 2Pe 3:16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. (nas) 2Pe 3:16 ὡς καὶ ἐν πάσαις ἐπιστολαῖς λαλῶν ἐν αὐταῖς περὶ τούτων, ἐν αἷς ἐστιν δυσνόητά τινα, ἃ οἱ ἀμαθεῖς καὶ ἀστήρικτοι στρεβλοῦσιν ὡς καὶ τὰς λοιπὰς γραφὰς πρὸς τὴν ἰδίαν αὐτῶν ἀπώλειαν.
